Damn it! I see that I have put Đoković and Alcaraz to fight in the finals in the Q9.
I found this odd when I last checked because these two were on the same branch and were never going to meet in the final, but sh*t happens. But for you  to survive this one is if Djokovic comes up with an upset using some old tricks that come with experience of the game as his still rusty but still a threat.

The other half of the question is already wrong because Sabalenka lost to Muchova in the semi final game yesterday.
Another reason why am not a fan of women's tennis,  too many surprises and it was too good to be true that seed 1 and seed 2 would face each other here...

Anyway off to catch the Djokovic vs Alcaraz that starts in a few minutes...
1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Deciding to save money in Bitcoins for the future of the child on: June 08, 2023, 08:32:30 PM
Some unfortunate situation happening there in Bangladesh with the  reliance on the dollar, and in the midst  of all this ,good  to see you have still gone ahead to secure your children's future using the bank as those were your only options at the time...But with the coming of cryprocurrencies,  you can go one better by saving some of that money in Bitcoin and some stablecoins to have some stable source of finances in the future should it be needed.

Protect your hard earned money by going the crypto way as you are privileged to know of alternatives, good luck!

I can't even believe it. Messi? Intermiami? The stadion of intermiami has only 18k seats.
That makes two of us  Shocked
But coming to think of it , I think he choose a league that he could settle in without much of the media & the paparazzi on his back as he prepares for retirement, and with Messi leaving Europe this is the end of the CR7-Messi era and time for players like Mbappe,Rashford, Neymar, Halaad etc to step up their game and cement their names to football's record books.

Btw I thought he would be following CR7 in Saudi Arabia after his last visit, but I guess he chose peace and quiet over a fat pay cheque, and its understandable especially that he has his family in the picture, hope Inter Miami make good memories for him.

In other news, Alexis Mac Alister from Brighton to Liverpool confirmed ...just wondering if the Reds situation is with Midfielders or they need to reinforce their defense...

1926  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: P2P Scams : Where does the government stand on: June 07, 2023, 11:59:05 PM
The only way I can think of preventing this is or bring the numbers down is by drafting cyber laws that will deter would be offenders as local mediums will be used when it comes to transferring out fiat. Of course people on these  platforms use fake IDs and the alike, such users can be followed and if the proof is overwhelming their coins can be confiscated and not returned to them and this should definitely bring the numbers down.

But for now, best solution is running an awareness campaign and let p2p  users not trust users on the other side of the screen as these are strangers and trust should never come in the picture.

It really depends on the nature of the scam. In P2P trading, fiat is usually involved. So regardless of whether crypto is involved or not, it can be taken up by the court of law.
Agreed, unlike crypto... p2p has an aspect of real life transactions which makes it an interesting case for the police and later the courts, and if found on the wrong side of the law, anything from fraud chargers, to cyber crime to whatever they courts find fit to hit you with can be all piled up on the offenders, so act smart and let's do things cleanly.
1927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: June 07, 2023, 11:49:55 PM
The price of BTC just drop down to $22k few days ago, which is another opportunity for those that missed last year not to invest in a stable coins to do it now because, the price of BTC will surely reach $80k before the end of this year 2023.
What's the point of investing in a stablecoin when you invest hundred thousand dollars today and what you expect to find after 10years will still be the same hundred thousand dollars..clearly no point of going with stablecoins unless you want to protect your money from recessions and inflation.

Are you sure investors will experience $80 this year?
Did you mean $80k ??

Well at the moment nothing is exciting to make price go up, and with SEC also adding their Shenanigans to the market..  I really dont see price even going anywhere near $50k unless whatever SEC is trying to do backfires and work's in favor of BTC.

But I think the big year should be the year of halving thats when we shall see some real movement!
1928  Economy / Economics / Re: Is taking a loan/debt addicted ? on: June 07, 2023, 11:32:50 PM
Taking a loan can lead to addiction but not in all cases,
Come on guys this isn't gambling...Loans don't get to addiction if you are going to pay them back, besides you need to have a plan on how to payback before you even plan on how to spend it!

If anything, loans are for disciplined users and not everyone, undisciplined users who get loans and dont playback usually get punished but losing their collateral or get blacklisted for any new loans and you wouldn't want this to go this way.

there are so many investors today, who borrow money to finance the project after that they will pay the money and keep the profit from the business. The loan itself is not bad, what is been taken or used for is what matter.
well said!
Just to add on what's been said, the biggest economies in the world do get loans too which should tell you that loans aren't really a bad thing not until you default...And problems arise when you do not use funds for intended purposes which means finding funds twice, first for initial plan and second to payback!
1929  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bkex Locked Users off Their Money For 9 days and Counting.. on: June 07, 2023, 11:12:39 PM
The good thing is that they put the notice about no withdrawals on the home page, but the lack of suspension of deposits is very confusing.
At least we have to commend them for their communication,  and hope this was just one of those routine maintainance runs being done in the background and maybe waiting for wallets to synch or something ...

As for Deposits going through, well this is the mystery question that they never want to answer honestly or with a smile on their face,  but I think this is left open to not keep all their clients away as this might turn into a nightmare for them if all go and never comeback, so to keep one side of their business running is a vital component!
1930  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First time and how I got interested on it on: June 07, 2023, 10:45:52 PM
I heard Bitcoin in 2021, and I was introduced to Bitcoin in 21:10:2021 by my friend, the first time when my friend introduced me to Bitcoin I was not an interested, because
of fear, and I don't want to be scammed.
For me I discovered Bitcoin on my own and didn't have these fears as any liabilities were going to be pinned on me, but something I have realized about bitcoin and people knowing it through a friend or something always comes with fear of being scammed and the alike...Which begs to ask the question if our friends aren't trust worthy to help find these hidden treasures..?

But later I start to have an interest on Bitcoin, because of the way my friend is living his life. But when I start to have an interest on it, my friend who was positioning me, travel out or let me say relocate that is how I missed my chance to learn Bitcoin more dipper.
Sorry mate, but interest in bitcoin alone won't bring that larvish lifestyle to life without any kind of investment,  let's not paint a picture of Bitcoin making people magically rich...Technically it did but if you compare early adopters of BTC, some knew of it and didn't invest and those that did and held were  rewarded handsomely...So this shows that our decisions and a bit of investment is the key to success when it comes to cryprocurrencies.

And  according the (Linguistics) they said opportunities comes but ones that is how I lost my opportunity. I don't want miss this chance now. This year is my third year anniversary in  Bitcoin, but I'm not perfect to invest, but I will try my best to learn more and to acquire more  knowledge, and learn how to invest.
That's the spirit,  and good luck in your journey Smiley

I thank God that I search or found this forum, and also
I appreciate my gee who advertise this forum to me. I believe I will learn more from forum.
That's what forums are about,  spread the word, the more users know about bitcoin the faster Bitcoin goes to the moon!
1931  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake support? on: June 07, 2023, 10:25:12 PM
What's your belief on these? Are they trying to beat the US to it? Because right now the US is playing dumb with crypto and china sees a better opportunity in crypto, what do you think?how will this end?
Anything that will put China one step ahead of the US is always going  to get a green light...After all this sudden uturn is a sign to uplift Russia their ally.

And knowing very well that China is part of this BRICS , imagine how influential this crypto uptake the markets can benefit from this because this also indirectly undermines and puts pressure on the US dollar, and some how removes the reliance of this Currency as the benchmark...

To be honest this is all calculated and being done systematically, the US won't see it coming as they still watch from afar while everyone is jumping on this technology.
1932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are physical exchanges in your neighborhood. on: June 07, 2023, 10:06:07 PM
Physical  Exchange?? This is new to me...the only thing that comes close to a physical exchange in my mind is peer2peer trading!
And why would anybody opt to go for a physical exchange leaving a digital exchange that provides convenience and some degree of safety in your own comfort zone??

Besides, don't you think having a physical exchange could be prone to more regulatory checks, business restrictions and endless other issues that could prevent it from growing...Whatever the idea is surrounding the so called physical exchange I don't like it.

It breaks your privacy fully cause the other trader not only knows what you look like, but also the neighborhood you live in and they can track you to get more information putting you at risk.
Agree, too many red flags for this kind of trading and so many things can go wrong...One could be robbed, given fake fiat cash, IDs clowned, biometrics taken list is endless....Bitcoin is digital, less keep the business digital too Smiley

I was a little bit over confident with my comrade Etcheverry in Roland Garros, i think he can make the miracle and goes to the semifinals, but that dont happen sadly.
Am not an avid follower of tennis but I do know some names that can one some money if you back them.

But this lad(Etcheverry) you just mentioned here is definitely going on my watchlist and hope he doesn't disappoint in his future matches.

Btw just had a peep of what the spreadsheet looks like  more than 50% of us backed the right horse to get to the semis  and its safe to say that players here have brought their A game, so unexpected  Cool
1934  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-06-06] CNBC: Bitcoin rallies above $27,000 after SEC sues Coinbase ... on: June 07, 2023, 06:21:53 PM
The markets are sending a strong message to SEC here and I like the response!
I was honestly expecting markets to actually show more red after two of the big exchanges operating in the USA have been sued for almost the same thing...and in response  we get this, more like a "GTFO" kind of message Grin

But on a serious note, how much damage can SEC inflict at the moment,  and is there a way around to get them off cryptos back ?? We need positive news going forward not this, what a drawback SEC  Tongue
1935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still stores their crypto in any exchange on: June 07, 2023, 12:44:37 PM
I know several people who store their crypto coins on exchanges like Binance because its part of their business which is peer 2 peer  trading, and its understandable as its the only way to provide a convenient service, and not miss out on any potential business that relies on having coins stored their.
Before anybody says they are doing it wrongly or something, they too know the risk and its the price they are ready  to pay to remain in business besides the "not your keys, not your coins!"
As someone who doesn't really have a lot of crypto, I admit that I have been using and will continuously use exchange wallet. I find it convinient since I mostly transfer it and trade it.
Atleast found someone telling the truth  Roll Eyes

Having to Use the exchange wallet has its perks and this also means avoiding extra transaction fees and you can easily trade from one coin to another without losing much, unlike using your custodial/non-custodial wallet which means losing some coins along the way, waiting longer for confirmation and the alike before you make that trade happen.

1937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One or more trading strategies, which one do you prefer? on: June 07, 2023, 05:30:36 AM
To be a profitable trader you need to stick to what works unless the current strategy isn't working then you are allowed to migrate to something else. Like the saying goes, "if it ain't broke then don't fix it" and this should be the same concept to be applied here.

Btw to be consistent, you can not allow yourself jumping from one strategy to another at any given point as this signals that you don't know what you are doing..find what works and run with it!

I do say, don’t use any strategies more than once. For me no strategy works the second time. Maybe I am more concerned about my balance, but yes, I know the value of my hard earned money and whenever I try to repeat any strategies, it miserably fails.
Never heard of this one, but don't you think that if you did something over and over again you will become good at it but if you are always changing strategies then you miss this opportunity to master a working strategy.
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: June 07, 2023, 04:59:58 AM
Most of my answers differ from my opponent Woodie, so it would be impossible to achieve a tie in this matchup.

Certainly doesn't make a gòod start if answers are this different, it's either a big win or big lose and at the moment will only check spreadsheet on Monday to see how bad the difference was lol (Fear of the Unknown)

I have noticed that the majority here have chosen Manchester City to win the Champions League title, but I have decided to go with Inter Milan, even though they are considered the underdogs. This is because in most finals, Italian clubs have been able to defeat English clubs, especially Liverpool. And Good luck to everyone. Cheesy
I would have gone for Inter Milan too because of their rich history over English  teams, but they way City are playing at the moment...you can't write them off to get their first ever UEFA CUP! Wouldn't surprise me if Pep calls it quits after this achievement because he knows he won't defend it.

Anyway, Good Luck to you Smiley
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 06, 2023, 10:00:18 PM
if harry kane continues to refuse Madrid's offer then he will only waste his energy on Tottenham, however Madrid is the dream team of many star players and has won many competitions very often, while tottenham is a team that until now has not been able to give kane a trophy.
One thing I don't like about football is that fans are the most vocal when it comes to speculation and with contracts being the decider if player can move or not, and willingness of  the player to move..for me I dont think his  the perfect fit, let Madrid look else where tbh!!
Let's not forget that at this point Madrid needs to usher in a new crop of players as this current generation will be retiring soon and a player like Kane is a temporary fix and will be too expensive to bring looking at his age...and the fact that the British media are just hyping this player I still think this is a bad deal and hope he doesn't move!

after benzema officially joined al ittihad, madrid had to get a replacement striker before the 23/24 season started.

SOURCE--
If these guys continue hunting for the top names of football, I see this league to be the next destination for most players because the money on offer is crazy..and big names have already lead which means USA might run out of supply of these big talents and currently this ambassador tag is just a smoke screen...Saudis at the moment mean business!!!
1940  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: June 06, 2023, 09:34:59 PM
Correction of price is very much normal and nothing  to be worried about!

If anything, price kind of moves in a way that an earthworm moves...to go forward it has to kind of contract and make that catapult effect to go forward..Same thing with our bitcoin price, to go up price needs to find liquidity at these bottoms to build momentum to break any barriers  at the top that are keeping it from breaching this new price. So for now lets just hang in there, sooner or later new highs will be registered.
