1941  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any hope for bitcoin? Possible solutions? on: October 31, 2014, 10:53:38 PM

I am thinking for myself, I just wondered what other people think.

I believe in Bitcoin and that's why I'm holding some.
I never got round to using it on a daily basis due to the fact that I believe I will regret using it for pizza Smiley
1942  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any hope for bitcoin? Possible solutions? on: October 31, 2014, 10:51:31 PM
I hope bitcoin doesn't end up all locked down and controlled like apple products  Grin

LOL!!!  Cheesy
1943  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there any hope for bitcoin? Possible solutions? on: October 31, 2014, 09:43:56 PM
OP why don't you start thinking for yourself. What is Bitcoin worth to you?

In my opinion Bitcoin is like mobile phones. It will take some years to develop the infrastructure and get people to use it.

We are here

And the potential is

.... i want a refund for my space flight

Why? Richard will bring you far beyond space, you will even meet your maker Tongue
1945  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be that guy on: October 29, 2014, 07:55:54 AM
Thanks OP I woke up this morning, saw your thread and though .... darn I did some mining in 2009 for a few days ... Wink

1947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Is Not Rebounding,why? on: October 23, 2014, 10:59:23 PM
It will hit 250 by the end of the month im sure.

Lol at your username.
1948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Is Not Rebounding,why? on: October 20, 2014, 06:13:18 PM
Bitcoin is more stable than it was. The bubble cycles will be further apart and be more controlled.
Also, too many people are "expecting" it to go up. The universe then says "no" Tongue

We are currently in a slow trend reversal if you ask me.
1949  Economy / Speculation / Re: No weekend dump on: October 20, 2014, 06:07:52 PM
Its going to be a Monday dump now. Happened a few times in the last 2 months.

We are not safe yet.

Yea, here it comes now! I just nibbled at 375  Grin

This is not a dump, it's not worth to wait for the price to go down $10

I still think we might see $2XX again this year, and next year we might see the price go up.

Thinking the same.

Too many ASIC companies are poping up and irrational miners mining at a loss.

This is There will be a natural but new point in the history of Bitcoin.
At some point mining companies will stopstart dropping like bricks if they can't get people to sign in on mining contracts.
They will be stuck with a datacenter full of ASICs that are worthless.
This will be the point where bitcoin price must go up due to scarcity.

And until then, coin price will continue the down trend.

Just edited my post but you got my idea. We need miners to stop competing with each other and unite and drive up the price so we all profit.
Too bad humans are not born with cooperation in mind. Cooperation only works if its a win-win or me-first Smiley

$165000 but I hope higher Wink
1952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scientist predicts world stock market collapse in 3 months on: October 19, 2014, 08:38:15 PM
As a non-US person I strongly believe that watching the USD go tits up will be bad for the world.
As much as I hate to say it, currently too much of the world depends on dollars.
The world needs time to get out of the USD before we can let the USA blow up their debt based economy.
I think America is a nice holiday country and it would be a sad thing watching it go down the shitter  Cry
1953  Economy / Speculation / Re: This week I bought >300 BTC (+700 before > 1000 total) on: October 19, 2014, 01:49:25 PM
Update...

AND PROOF :

Hope that some sceptics are satisfied now Smiley

You went margin long on bitfinex or what is this?

Anyone can create an html file that looks like bitfinex and take screenshot.

Who would hold BTC1000 online in a hot wallet ?!?
1954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is dead on: October 18, 2014, 12:36:51 PM
Bitcoin is dead:

btc has no value, and it's bubble have busted.

more govs will ban it and people will forget it.

btc will go  to hell

How come all bears seem illiterate? Tongue
Why hang on this forum? Because you're a good Samaritan?

Bitcoin is rising at the moment so I just don't get these latent bears (aka boat-missers).
1955  Economy / Speculation / Re: These instant changes in price... on: October 17, 2014, 07:53:47 PM
There has to be mad manipulation in this market..  the constant massive instant swings in the price of BTC would lead me to no other answer.

The "bearwhale" I fear was just a tatic to fuel enthusiasm in the community to allow someone to sell coins at @400.  IMO there will be a massive push down wards perhaps to fallin's target of $200 then another massive rise to $3-400 on some news that will make you want to buy and hold this allowing this person to double up again..

I still cannot see the ability to suppress the market forever but I believe it could be a LONG.. long time before we see any 4 digit coins again.

Anyone else think someone is attempting to mess up the market to get as many coins and as much fiat as they can?

That's a free market and no regulation. That's what you libertarians wanted, right?

All regulation currently that exists for Fiat empowers the super rich to fraud me, steal from me, etc and recieve a 10% penatly on their earnings......

SO F YA this is way better than me getting raped by the rich while being tied down by the gov with a gun to my head.

The government has a monopoly on raping you Smiley
... and taxing you for getting raped ....
1956  Economy / Speculation / Re: This week is critical for bitcoin. on: October 17, 2014, 05:30:55 PM
I'm quite sure bitcoin will recover. Just hold guys, you'll see the light in time. If you have doubts, google bitcoin, go to the news tab, and read the many encouraging articles written daily by innovators and academics alike. Every day a new rich person understands, it's just a matter of time

We need it to go from "innovators and academics" towards "common folk usage". The question is how in hell do we get there.

Change takes time.... time sux  Smiley

1958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Throwing my towel. Cant wait 5 years to the moon on: October 16, 2014, 07:29:05 PM
Bitcoin isn't a "get rich quick" scheme.

Somebody else said it first, but no, it's a "get rich slow" scheme.

The quote as I remember it was a "get rich not so quick" scheme Smiley
Anyways you will get richer than normal investing (or lose it all Tongue)
1959  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when BTC is 1M each on: October 15, 2014, 11:15:06 PM
Buy a $1,000 latte at Starbucks with bitcoins.

Hello Mark Tongue

...
WE FOUND HIM!!!!

If you don't think Starbucks will eventually be charging $1,000 for coffee you have not been to Starbucks lately.

I've been there once. Weak coffee served by gay hipsters. You pay a shitload of cash for bad coffee. They kill it with syrup so you don't notice. Ow well for some people image is worth more than quality ;-)
1960  Economy / Speculation / Re: lower ask order several major exchanges is $393.77 at Lakebtc on: October 15, 2014, 07:12:21 AM
