1941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: big news, bitcoin address top1 changed yesterday on: May 25, 2014, 07:40:54 AM
Btw what ever happened to all the bitcoins that the FBI seized from silk road? I think I remember it was the 2nd highest amount someone has, in the case the FBI.
1942  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 25, 2014, 07:36:47 AM
Does I have to wait to be approve or my posts are automatically counted?

No, it starts counting once you've posted the payout wallet and what post you started on.
1943  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buy BTC localbitcoin.com good price ONLY lbc.com on: May 25, 2014, 05:51:19 AM
You've only traded with 4 different people on LBC, which is hardly any reputation to be asking for a paypal payment.

I'd be willing to do this trade as well, but NOT with paypal, given your history.

^ did you bother reading anything besides the headline?
1945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the FED already control Bitcoin? on: May 25, 2014, 03:04:58 AM
No government can completely control bitcoin, however they can heavily influence it. Just look at China. Even a single announcement from their bank, causes panic and price dropping a good margin. The US government is also holding the second largest amount of btc from the silk road bust I believe. If they want to directly crash the price, they can dump it into the market at any moment.

1947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to become a bitcoin millionaire on: May 24, 2014, 07:25:46 PM
How to lose $50k:

Step one:  buy 100 coins now.
Step two:  wait for price to go to 10k.

Price actually ends up plummeting.
1948  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware using Localbitcoins SMS! on: May 24, 2014, 12:07:38 PM
I'm about to use localbitcoins right now. Is this problem something that just happened?

OP, if you had your phone on you to send SMS release code, then you could also use the browser on your phone to log in your localbitcoin account to manually release the btc. Am I missing something here? This glitch sounds pretty alarming.
1949  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Beware using Localbitcoins SMS! on: May 24, 2014, 12:04:47 PM
Wait, I think you two are describing different problems. brokjen420, you got btc stolen because you installed a trojan. But OP is describing a problem where there is a lag in the localbitcoin system.
1950  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: May 24, 2014, 11:59:25 AM
When was the new rates posted? I think I saw it before the payout, but when I finally got around to check if payout was correct, I think we all got the old pay rate.
1951  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: $500 Loan Request - with collateral - help me pay for school! on: May 24, 2014, 11:56:22 AM
Wow 10% escrow is a bit much. Some escrow for free, or a service fee of 1%.
1952  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstamp is the next MtGox... on: May 24, 2014, 10:43:04 AM
I would worry about btc-e more than bitstamp. Unlike bitstamp, btc-e is in Russia, ran by anonymous guys. They're lacking transparency.
1953  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Coolermaster QuickFire Stealth Mechanical Keyboard (Cherry MX Brown)(Tenkeyless) on: May 24, 2014, 07:45:22 AM
Free bump for a fellow mechanical keyboard aficionado - I got 6 of them at home Smiley mostly mx brown and some buckling springs and one topre.

Nice! I didn't think such a keyboard enthusiast would also be so involved in crypto. If you're hardcore, you'd also have some of them custom Korean keyboards  Wink.

Do you also have an account on geekhack?
1954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spanish Government: Bitcoin is Considered Cash on: May 23, 2014, 08:27:44 PM
Every world government deems bitcoin as something different. Most don't even know what to call it yet. The most absurd is the US government calling it property like a house.
Well i dont live in the us, but still whats wrong with calling btc a private property?

Are you serious? Do you really want to pay property tax and document everything when you make transactions in btc? You want the gov to freely categorize bitcoin into anything they please, when they should have no right to do so in the first place?

So what happens when you gamble and lose the lender's money?
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just paid the $100K USD via BTC to become a Platinum Member of TBF. on: May 23, 2014, 01:37:05 PM
Man, I must admit, you got me at first. I took your word at first and congratulated you, then I started looking for your tx because $100k is just too much to believe. Scrolled that address a few times, couldn't find the tx, but gave up out of laziness because I didn't want to go through 700+ tx from that address.

Well played sir.
1958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just paid the $100K USD via BTC to become a Platinum Member of TBF. on: May 23, 2014, 07:32:00 AM
If true, then congrats man. Now maybe you can leak all the classified info they have.

What's your real motive for joining? I'm sure it's gotta be something else other than getting rid of Brock Pierce.
1959  Economy / Lending / Re: [Loan Req] Between 1 and 2.3 BTC / .30 BTC repaid daily on: May 23, 2014, 06:08:38 AM
So... what I was afraid would happen, did actually happen. He basically ran, and it's been a few days since any real communication. If he doesn't respond by tomorrow morning, I'm going to post everything, including screenshots.

I lost out on 2btc  Angry
1960  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW TO MAKE BITCOIN and USD Fiat EFFORTLESSLY on: May 23, 2014, 03:44:11 AM
You mean how to easily put money in YOUR pocket from all the referrals? All you basically described was buying cloud mining shares, and cashing out the proceeds.

That was a mighty long post with a lot of links. Too bad a mod took out all your referral links.
