Because you only invest in currencies with 100% unique source code and devs invented new POS algorithms?
Because you want to get x2 profit within a month or x5 within a couple of months?
Yeah, it's like Nxt 2.0 but better. Starting from BCNext renamed to Qora and ending with lots of fellow NXTers Come on, I know you are excited but try not to blur the line between fact and pure, unabashed and unadulterated speculation Have we seen the unobfuscated source code yet? Is there a whitepaper describing the new POS algo that has been reviewed by guys who know what they are talking about? Do you know BCNext is involved or is it just a claim the hype the coin? (although not the first one I have seen) Let's try and keep our feet on firm ground when we are talking on these forums, it is the only way cryptos will have a future.

Digital Good Store Update:Kushti has begun testing in the last day or so.... I have implemented automated tests for DGS functions. All is fine, the only minor glitch found is discount in delivery could be more than price.

spartans you failed me
This very blackcoin they even superimpose the logo onto the shields Not how I roll don't follow their thread. i asked a half a dozen times how they protect against dos from people registering as participants in a coinjoin transaction and then failing to sign the transaction and never got a satisfactory explanation. I don't, followed it after the start of the dump for a while. I asked what happened to the fees people paid and no-one could give a definitive answer

Is this different to the ForgeCoin asset?

Apparently.... Another painful news; Mintpal: The DRK/BTC market is currently frozen because of fork issues, we will bring the market back when the issues have been fully resolved. Poleniex too. Suspicion is they are trying to stop the dumping... all cloaks and daggers stuff right now

DRK having a bad day. NXT #4. Nice.
Dammit, beat me to it +1

Also... Nxt Arbitrary Messages are not encrypted by default. And visible to everyone if you know where to look Encryption is implemented in the client and I believe Offspring is the only Client so far with it up and running. Encryption will be added in the next update of NRS/Wesleys client (according to Wesley)

However, if this thread starts to turn into another debate about the GW issue, I will happily start deleting posts from both sides.

Great, Mxt is already listed! Wait a minute...

Regarding 1), as previously stated, seems Qora coin doesn't have this problem. So can't see this point valid.
Qora is a newbie right now. Let us wait. But relax, fees will be lowered. About 2), I believe noone is forging to get NXT as the outcome is scarcely a few cents even if you have a semidecent stake. I believe people will still forge and lease forging power, therefore, secure the network. Don't think the problem of a fork is real as it can be planned frmo block X (like, 1 month in the future) so people have enough time to update. Either way, people need to update very often atm.
It costs ALMOST nothing to forge. This almost is well compensated by fees, right now. I'm relax. And I'm not using it so much to be worried about fees. I'm thinking about the system. Why 1 NXT per fee? I don't want an answer like "it will be done" or "it's ok right now". I want to know why it is better 1 NXT than 0.1 NXT (for instance). It costs nothing to forge, that's true, but what's the point? Precisely I'm saying people will carry on forging and therefore 1 nxt fee was/won't never be an incentive to forge at least in the short-mid term. DLXS It s one Nxt as Nxt wasn't divisible until NQT was launched a few weeks before AE. The Devs are working on Alias Transfer and Digital Goods Store atm and see this as a higher priority than reducing the fee (which takes more work than changing a variable in the code). Fees are likely to be moved to 'per byte' on the blockchain basis, which will require coding doing for it. From my experience, Fee change is not seen as a high priority unless you are running/planning to run a tipbot type service, encrypted messenger service, want to be a trader etc etc. I want lower fees, as I am told it allows some very interesting projects jl777 is working on. But I'm in no rush. Perhaps we can recruit another Java dev to take this on ?

Anyone interested in slightly more concrete info on what Qora is, here is a quote from Jean-Luc (one of the main developers of Nxt core) who has scanned the code: It is not a clone, at least not a clone of the recent code. The code is obfuscated (probably proguard?) and I don't have time to dig further, but seems to be using a lot of third party libraries that we [Nxt] don't use. Uses jetty, and json-simple, but also jackson and mapdb, no H2.
The developer has definitely borrowed ideas from Nxt, but probably not much from the current implementation.
As for the speculations that it may be BCNext himself - not his style, remember the original Nxt code did not use any other libraries (even the jetty dependency was added later by CfB) and was a single file. It is more likely a good java developer who started from the original Nxt 0.4.x code like I did, but then continued his own way into a completely different implementation. But all this may have been intentional, to confuse people - so the conspiracy theories will keep going on.
Hype/P&D from this what you will Great! I'm glad such people are looking into Qora. It says a lot. Guys on Nxtforum asked him to, he didn't do it of his own free will. (Let the hype begin ! )

the price is cheap now Cheap based on what? A price of 50 sat is about right currently. The coin has not proven itself in any manner. It is working but there are no reviews about the code and the client is far from being polished.Mind though, 50 sat gives Qora a market cap of around 2.5 Million Dollar, placing it around position 20 of coinmarketcap and in the vicinity of Monero. NXT had a similar position at this point of its development, so this is not bad, but appropriate. Further development and people that work for the coin will bring the price up to about 200 sat. If everything works out fine we will see about 500 sat in a couple of month. Placing Qora at around 25 Million US $. Actually it's 70-100 satoshi. Nobody sells at 50. Such price put Qora right under MaidSafeCoin which is about right considering things you've said. With polished client, web/mobile clients and features dev is going to implement we'll be in top 5. There is a definite an information imbalance in this thread. Someone uncharitable might call it manipulation I'll leave you guys to it

I have seen in two places that the code is obfuscated, can anyone confirm this (the second in the link above)?
If so, then comparing one Nxt source to Qora, by definition, will have "no obvious similarities".
Does the dev post in this thread?
