which way will i obtain profit from lease balance - pool will send me automatically each week ?

With the nxtcrypto pool you need to send a message:

Quote
To claim your earnings, simply send an AM (can be empty or put whatever you want in there) to the pool account 1460178482 and after this AM has 1440 comfirmations, your confirmed earnings will be sent to you, minus NXT transfer fee.

http://pool.nxtcrypto.org/howto.html

You can do this easily within your client by sending an empty message to account NXT-K5KL-23DJ-3XLK-22222 (which is account 1460178482)

ok, thank
so i should send AM before my leasing time time run out or after my leasing period expire

Any time is fine.
They will send the funds when you want even when your lease time has expired Smiley

Do remember that it will take 1440 blocks for them to send this, that's about 1,5 days.

i already earned 0.01 nxt = it´s 0.0001517263707174008 $
It looks promising

Remember that the same with electricity and normal mining, you also have a cost of 1 nxt per minted coin in transaction fees!
So you will need to calculate the minting unit well  Smiley

https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/issue/207/mint-worker-utility

Quote
Additional Best practices
Never set the isSubmitted flag to true unless you are absolutely sure what's you are doing. You may end up paying a lot of fees and spamming the blockchain.
Always start by minting 1 unit per mint and observe the log messages printed by the mint worker. Look at the hash rate and the number of seconds per transactions. Adjust the nxt.mint.unitsPerMint setting so that the mint worker solves no more than one hash per hour but also consider that a single mint cannot mint more than 1/10000 of the total unit supply.

I think this is mixing up two things.

It appears Picasso is leasing his forging balance to ForkedChain/OpticalCarriers Forging pool, pool.nxtcrypto.org. You do need to account for 1 NXT fee to lease to the pool and 1 NXT fee to have your forged balance sent back to you. So there is a floor amount of Nxt where below which you would make a (tiny ~2NXT) loss even after leasing, as you don't make enough to cover the transaction fees.

The mint utility worker is the 'mining rig' of the mintable bit of Monetary System. I think you only use the mint worker utility if you want to POW a MSCoin. It is a stop gap >>> "We hope that in the future 3rd party developers will adapt this utility for use with CPUs, GPUs and Asics to optimize the hashing performance."

proof of scam. pos , i think it is the main  idea this year Grin

Some people worked very hard this year to perpetuate this, though the established POS crytpos are still here. The technology is intact, scams were the product of human nature (lies feeding people's greed). I only heard of a couple newborn coins that had problems where a huge proportion of funds were stored on exchanges  Roll Eyes Can you point to a POS scam that was caused by corruption of the tech/blockchain?

Fortunately, the weak/scam POS are dying/dead in this bear market. POS will remain and grow until someone proves it is insecure. The serious analytical research so far suggests that the opposite is true. The future of POS is getting brighter each day.
POS coins carry everything that is needed to scam people: initial distribution through IPO/ vague promises of interest/ no miners

may-be POS is victim of human nature  Grin, but POS is clearly scammer best friend...

So just don't put money into new POS until it has shown itself to have some longevity. It is a completely different crypto landscape since the first POS cryptos were launched.

It is much easier to scam using POS, all you need is a copy and paste of a technical coins OP, change a few words/logo, add the lastest buzzwords (anon, sidechains etc.), have 3-10 sock puppets post and be enthusiastic and send some confidence payments to the genesis account. People follow the heard and give up their money willingly without knowing what they are doing. And they are eaten by sharks.

This still doesn't detract from the technology of POS, which still hasn't been breached. "Nothing at Stake" is likely to be shown to be BTC/POW propaganda, they have provided nothing to prove it is fact (even admit they only have assertions in their POS.pdf).

Blaming POS for scammers is the same as blaming telephone cables for cold callers or the internet for phishing attacks  Cheesy

Black coin's been around for a while and seems secure.

Has there been any research into Blackcoins implementation of POS? I know they forked Novacoin, which is based on Peercoin, but was under the impression they changed parts so you can't compare against Peer/Novacoin. The changes could open up new attack vectors.

Nxt Monetary System (experimental version released to tesnet in the last 24 hours) will go a long way to solving this problem. This is the Nxt implementation of Sidechains.

There are a selection of properties (reservable, mineable, non-suffleable etc) that can be combined. Initial properties will include for:

Crowdfunding
Shop Discount Vouchers/Tokens (can only be transferred from and back to the issuer account)
POW (on top of a POS currency)
Inflation (allow creation of more shop vouchers, dividends, currency)

The possible combinations could see some interesting experiments in crypto. Further properties can be added to Monetary System as the scene develops, if there is a need. It will be interesting to watch.

Experimental release of Monetary System Released

For advanced users for testing/debugging. Everyone else wait for the 1.4.0 version.

Monetary System is Nxt's implementation of Sidechains. It allows coins, vouchers, crowd funding and other features to be built on top of and secured by the Nxt blockchain. Whoop! Grin

Release 1.4.0e

sha256:

[SHA removed, go to https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-4-0e]

Change log:

This is the experimental release to test the new Monetary System major feature.
It is enabled on testnet, and those running testnet nodes should upgrade to this
release, even if they don't plan to use the MS features, otherwise will be left
on a fork. This release is also possible to run on main net, but is not to be
considered stable for production use there. The Monetary System block is not yet
defined for main net.

New features:

Monetary System.
See https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/issue/205/monetary-system-documentation
for a detailed description.
See https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/issue/207/mint-worker-utility for a
description of the MintWorker tool for currency minting.

Dividend payment transaction. Asset issuers can make a dividend payment to all
asset holders with a single transaction. Required parameters are the blockchain
height at which asset holders shares will be counted (must be less than 1440
blocks in the past), and the amount to be paid per share.

Delete alias transaction. The owner of an alias can now delete it completely,
thus making the alias available for anyone to reserve again if desired.

Message pattern in AccountInfo. An account owner can set a regular expression
pattern in the AccountInfo for his account, using the setAccountInfo API.
Once such a pattern has been set, incoming transactions to this account are only
accepted if they contain a plain text message which matches this pattern. The
syntax follows the java.util.regex.Pattern specification.

API changes:

After MS block, adding a public key announcement when sending a transaction to
an account without a public key will be optional.

Added withMessage boolean parameter to getAccountTransactions and
getAccountTransactionIds APIs, to return only transactions having a message
attachment, either non-encrypted or decryptable by the account.

Added optional includeLessors, includeAssets, and includeCurrencies boolean
parameters to getAccount API. Set to false when retrieving those data is not
needed, in order to improve the getAccount performance.

After MS block, sending messages, selling aliases, and leasing balances, to the
Genesis account, will be disallowed.

The popOff debug API now allows pop off of more than max rollback number of
blocks, triggering a full rescan in such case.

Internal changes:

After the Monetary System block, the order in which transactions in a block are
executed will be determined by the block forger, instead of by id, default being
by arrival time at the forger's node.

Improvements in blockchain download to prevent getting stuck on the wrong fork.
Nodes will download blocks in batches of not more than 719 blocks at a time
from a single peer, and after each such batch will verify  with
nxt.numberOfForkConfirmations other peers (default 5) if this is the best
fork, before continuing, unless the downloaded batch is of less than 10 blocks.

Rescan status is now saved in the database, to prevent the database from being
left in an inconsistent state when a rescan fails or is interrupted. Once a
rescan has been scheduled, it will be triggered again at restart, until it
completes successfully.

Improvements in the processing of unconfirmed transactions.

This release will perform a rescan on first start.

1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparing returns of Litecoin, Dogecoin, Peercoin and NXT on: December 16, 2014, 03:26:18 PM
Winning in crypto is always tough way. I agree that you lost most of your holdings if you hold doge, peer, ltc or other shitcoins. But being a nxt holder is not different to me. Every POS coins are %100 premine, so I don't invest them and I hope nobody waste their money for those scams.

Indeed. Nxt is useful for its decentralized asset exchange, but because of the fact that it's premined, it seems like a very silly store-of-value.

This is more comparable to stocks than to cryptocurrencies.

Show me the logic...

NXT is not premined. Premined is a negative term meaning someone was dishonest by premining the currency before it was brought on the market and when difficulty was still very low, while claiming at the same time that everyone has the same chance to mine it, which is a lie when you premine.

With NXT there is no mining at all, so there can not be premining. All coins were created at inception, just like with stocks indeed, but in contrast to stocks, where often more stocks are created in the future (inflation of supply), with NXT no more tokens can be created, ever. Therefore it is a better store of value than even bitcoin, as it is the only currency that has no inflation at all.

The question is: was the distribution of NXT coins fair? I think yes as the founder put the coins for sale for 2 months and allowed anyone to pay up to 1 bitcoin. 72 people did, some payed 0.1 btc, some 1 btc, and they all got the NXT coins depending on how much they put in. Note that there was no operational software at the time, only ideas. They took a high risk and got a high reward.

I talk more about it in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7U7aAt3kFMI&list=UU1WYajSaECI0VrnP97yNOYg

I had never seen this before... it is the best response to the 'premine' ignorance I have seen. Spot on marc  Grin

As someone who watches the Nxt Assets Board almost everyday, we have 3 types of assets. Long term, short term and ......

Long term assets like Supernet, Nxtventure, Jinn, Dorcs, Nxtty and MGW is in my opinion will be the performing assets in 2015.

Short term assets like the mining assets are now flourishing in Nxt. Almost everyone of the mining assets are doing well. I can say this because i monitor them.

https://nxtforum.org/asset-exchange-general/community-asset-board-summary-(w-i-p)/

can you please explain the MGW asset? or provide relevant info please? i understand what multigateway is and im aware of mgw_btc etc ...just confused on what the MGW asset itself is. thanks

All the MGW servers are run for free and on devs free time and goodwill. At some point, a MGW fee will be introduced to cover these costs and maybe some profit. These fees will go to MGW asset holders.

For everyone else, the basics of Multigateway are here

Good job Nxt has more than one exchange Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy DGEX hasn't been the principal exchange since... Feb? About the time you were crying and ran away from Nxt. Then you embezzled thousands of Nxt worth of Nemstakes from your "No Envy Movement", remember? I think lots of people are envious of the thousands you made of the back of those who believed in you  Cheesy then you exposed yourself as a crook (epic btw UP). Why hate Nxt so much after so long, I'll never know.

Now how about a post on topic...

Anything on Nxt, it is the only one with any liquidity.

Jinn and Nxtventure both have already delivered and promise long term growth.

Do your own research, don't invest anything you can't afford to lose. Past performance is not a guide to future performance. Crypto is risky, assets can significantly magnify these risks (and also gains). A good project at a bad price makes the whole a bad project...  Just be smart about what you are doing, no need to rush in  Smiley

NXT seems to be really underrated. It's a year old and appears to be quite solid.

People seem to have this weird dismissal type attitude towards NXT and I don't quite understand why that is.

Also, if you look at how trading volume there's been over the year, and how many people there are now who use NXT the distribution has likely become actually pretty decent. If not much better than most.

I don't think people understand Nxt and still try to judge it to old standards. Have you seen this yet?

The "consensus research" also has some more papers and several simulation tools for forging algorithms.

Can you format the links based on the above and post here?  >> https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/nxt-papers-whitepapers-academic-and-economic/

I'll then update both OPs. Nxtforum is the main one, this one is just a mirror for interest/people searching 'whitepaper' etc.
