if there was a proposal out here that security experts agreed was viable, sure. But so far there isn't one.

Any news about launch day please Wait, that might have been answered...
Another q, are the stakeholder lists still published from each stage of getting to where we are today?
The sheets should still be up-to-date allthough socks and unclaimed haven't been marked (both are moving targets anyway). Can you post a couple of links? IIRC, there was more than one list.

This BTC exchange supports multisig (from 3 servers) >>> http://multigateway.org/The coin assets are backed up by the coins deposited in MGW[Multigateway], stored by the three MGW servers in multiple multisignature accounts for every supported coin.
In a multisignature account, the same address has several associated private keys or signatures. This means the servers have to agree, each of them providing their signature, in order to process the coin transactions – similar way to a joint bank account. The use of multisignature accounts and independent servers is what makes MGW more secure than any traditional centralized exchange account. Bitcoin, Litecoin, BitcoinDark, Doge, Blackcoin, Viacoin and Nxt are currently supported. There are plans to offer asset to asset trading in the future (i.e. BTC to LTC). Support can be found here, if required >>> https://nxtforum.org/nxtservices-releases/multigateway-user-support-thread/

Isn't that address is bitstamp cold wallet They said they already moved all customer bitcoin to their cold wallet Hope what i heard is true Their cold wallet would hold A LOT more than 18,000 BTC. If you trust the auditor, "Bitstamp proved its ownership of 183,497.40310794 BTC to Bitcoin developer Mike Hearn." It seems this audit was end of Aug / Start of Sept 2014, if done around the same time as Huobi. But I can't see exactly when the audit was. If this is a loss of some kind, then it is ~10% of all BTC Bitstamp had. https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/wallet-breach-causes-bitcoin-exchange-bitstamp-to-temporarily-suspend-service/

what's the NXT core team doing in marketing the platform to companies? i think it's time for them to be aggressive in 2015. imo the devs are doing great with the recent work done, but how's marketing?
Define marketing. like assign a team to go to conferences presenting NXT to potential institutional investors and businesses that could use the platform. i think NXT is starting to outgrow relying purely on its community, alt forums and word of mouth. Guys regularly go to conferences. Damelon, Marc, Salsa... probably more. Nxt is already booked ad the crypto sponsor for payexpo next year, ahead of BTC who also wanted the spot. Barclays was the real world sponsor so not too shabby. If you look at nxttechnologytree.com, Nxt is just getting started. Cfb, who arguably knows the most detail about Nxts future, see Nxt as selling itself. Nxt is still growing up, it will take months but others will have to be quick to keep up. Core devs that could substantially complete the tree in 8 months rather than 2 years, say, are more important than marketing at this point. But that is not to say marketing isn't important of course everyone sees things differently, we need more of everything. Edit: what dave said

A little premature I think because their is so much Bitcoin development on the cusp of being released. Multiple killer aps in 2015!
I'm curious, which planned apps are you banking on?

what's the status ....it's now 2015. is nxt open source ?
Are you reta.... i mean, do you know how to use the Internet? searching revealed conflicting information . nxt has history of open then closed then open etc Links? Nxt released source when devs said they would Jan 2014. Development branches are private to stop clones launching untested software when they are put on Nxt testnet. The launch of OS referenced at the start of this was symbolic as the first version of Nxt was a single unobfuscated java class file. Technically, Nxt has never been closed source.

There a plans to have installers for the major platforms as standard. Two core devs were talking about it so that usually means it will hsppen soon

I have a serious problem with my NXT client. It says "nrs server has exited" and won't let me send NXT.
So I have downloaded Nxt Client v1.4.5 from nxt.org (windows) and redownloaded the blockchain but the problem persists.
What is the solution?
Delete everything, clear browser history/cache and install 1.4.6. I think this may be a known bug some people are having.

can anyone teach me how do i transfer from bittrex? im funding my wallet for the first time. i tried copying my public key as message then sent to my address but still cant withraw my nxt. bittrex says invalid address thanks!
Annoyingly, Bittrex hasn't implemented this on their exchange. The easiest way is to use a faucet for your first transaction and public key. Such as http://jnxt.org/key/. And then transfer out from Bittrex. i already tried. do i need to wait for a confirmation email or it will automatically activate my account? thanks! I would guess confirmation email. That step is only there to stop/slow down scammers from clearing out the account.

I've asked.
It takes me about an hour and 10min to download from scratch on mediocre equipment so it isn't usually a big issue.

Will we need to install a new wallet version before the Monetary System goes live?
Yes, version 1.4.x is a hardfork (as all recent major features have been and will be in the future). If you don't have v1.4 by the time block 330000 comes around, you will be on a permanent fork and won't see anything related to MS. Obviously, the latest version of 1.4.x will have the most up to date bug fixes. As a side note, anyone currently running anything before v 1.2 are being actively blacklisted by the Nxt protocol automatically. So upgrade if you want to stay part of the network

Testers still busy at work, upgrade to version 1.4.6 to ensure a smooth transition. If you want to test Monetary System so you know how to use it on launch day, see here >>> https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/%28core%29-hardfork-on-330000 Monetary System goes live roughly 10th January, block 330000-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Release 1.4.6 [removed, see https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-4-6/ for Jean-Luc's message]sha256: [removed]
Change log: Set MS block to 330000 in the UI too, so that the MS features menu appears after that height. Enforce that currency exchange offer expiration height is after the current blockchain height. Refactoring of the UI html, splitting index.html into multiple files. Added offer and transfer links to currency exchange booth UI. This release will perform a rescan on testnet only, with a rollback to block 159305. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJUpV+xAAoJEFOhyXc7+e2AMTcQAJbtNTaGqJ5tnICd43KgXhM0 FfCQ6LdByjXiZlSc7ME8orEjH9yTOGIjsXbpGD13Z43ma6rj0zYcXoJRILutaikx CZeVQ02OUpJDqw0W01TA9OgXQ0TRqpjmv3//+R9P/wbSec2koeMDxWFq8H3ZUw1K +ITWnH7uQFT8RfBoN2oRlhN5tGX7eOxblzS5Mfcn///farKcfcHQCruYwrHVIbeg AvLK0/bIJaiVi5uR73/HznNkwlqipGi2NNdWL1POJ/BdwptGqVSQOadT0zzUuPqp zYSmO3nx1sXBtgNn+ZJ4hFvR+qwz8T/o49ddRCMWzow1q7H4uzjRL4EA4m4azUVh +Pg/s6z1EBPRRR+GnsKnX2mm1n+LVAKhT+w60a1Ma/lh6aPes0UDZd/btRRcSw4V b/whKyaZ60uacwjcULtCRtADhj/rdeVM4eog8CR3b+aLExinEGlcynwdnUoqFjBn W+Hzy6bhG2VTP2a79lFlb//CH7qLUpM70t4npAyNTxI3BCniHm2ynN6XY3wrBsot bgFeoA7Sw7wk47AH3Tnp4XoTK5E4X//751H44rUYNtOj1EeTJjCVtvCqfL5Bmckl YmELXS7rudGvUaVHeiZNCiM8Cj4RTcKbt8h0T9SM11tcvgsAYHB+auRZtorqjFkw BoFMhcrcoI/wE6bhMcrt =ey9U -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
