1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POS - Proof of Sinking price.... on: December 11, 2014, 04:11:26 PM
lol  Grin Grin Grin

Top analysis of Nxt right there, esp about the community  (153 users online at one time on nxtforum.org today, 530 posts a day, 15 new members a day ) Cheesy

I like the bit about no-one spending Nxt too, only 50 million traded on the Nxt Asset Exchange in the last 30 days in a bear market  >>>  http://nxtreporting.com/assetcap.php (scroll to bottom for market summary). 2.5 million Nxt in the last 24 hours. Nxt is flowing into projects that extend outside of crypto like Jinn and Smart Contracts.
See jinnlabs.com and smartcontracts.com
Any many other crypto businesses (Nxt mining businesses seem to be making 100% ROI measured in weeks/months)

Call this hype if you like, but anyone who cared to check would recognise them as facts  Cheesy

The Nxt price has declined in lock step with bitcoin in the last few weeks as you would expect (you could argue it has done better, depending how you slice the data).

Just looking at the price in any crypto and you will lose your shirt... Nxt is building it's own ecosystem and connecting to existing ones in the real world. But of course you wouldn't be interested in that...  Grin
1184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption extended[Updates&Discussion] on: December 11, 2014, 03:12:21 PM
Ok, thanks very much.
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Redemption extended[Updates&Discussion] on: December 11, 2014, 03:05:57 PM
Java and JavaScript are two different languages. Nxt is Java, not sure about Qora.

But I just wanted to ask how many NEMs will be in each stake? And can anyone confirm what the final total number of NEM in ciculation will be? I remember seeing some discussion on this but I don't think there was a conclusion.

Thanks,

Still to be announced but you can whack my ass with a hockey stick if its not 8999999999

For total supply I guess, I think I saw that before.

And there are ~1500 stakes that have been claimed, so about 6 million coins per stake?

Edit: Just saw your edit. Is 4000 the right number of stakes?
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT- based Smart Contracts implementation..... on: December 11, 2014, 02:56:47 PM
And if you are wondering why Nxt is having so many implementations, you are still have a silo mind where each crypto is an island with the devs as head chiefs who decree who can do what in their domain.

Nxt is an open platform where anyone can build what they want on top of Nxt, and they are. See Sergey's project above  Grin

So to continue the analogy, Nxt is a new continent where anyone can come in and set up their own city state based on the topology (Nxt core) as they find it without permission.

Maybe they will settle on the coast to make it easy to do a lot of trade with others (i.e. use Nxt Asset Exchange).

Maybe they will settle in the mountains and help others with otherwise navigate difficult passages (i.e. use Nxt Smart Contracts)

Maybe they will settle in a metropolis to sell their goods (i.e. use Nxt Marketplace/Free Market (decentralised ebay)

One by one new, external devs are coming on board and colonising this new world  Grin

1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptos that Actually Hold Value on: December 11, 2014, 12:41:03 PM
other coins to hold value could be nxt clones with better initial distribution if you like the java-shit (i don't) but inflation-wise nxt is very good too. But not exactly nxt because the fundamentals suck. NXT fucked itself up with the initial distribution. Would it have been more thoughtful it could have grown 3 times bigger already. (just my view on things)

I'd be really interested, in your view, what you think happened in the initial Nxt distribution? You seem to think the distribution was somehow planned and have an odd definition of fundamentals.
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT- based Smart Contracts implementation..... on: December 11, 2014, 10:33:32 AM
Yeah! The first smart contract implementation in Nxt of many  Grin

Well Done Sergey!

Others to look out for:

Nxt Smart Contracts: Come-from-Beyond implementation and Nxt Core feature.
https://nxtforum.org/smart-contracts/

Nxt Automated Transactions (Nxt AT): vbecas based on CIYAM's implementation.
https://nxtforum.org/automated-transactions/information-of-the-at-project/

FSM-driven Scripting: Kushti (Nxt Core dev) implementation.
https://nxtforum.org/automated-transactions/fsm-driven-scripting-part-3/

+1 to all of Nxt's innovating Devs, you are a credit to the crypto scene
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: December 11, 2014, 09:28:37 AM
If you had bought NXT in the last weeks like the other posters recommended, you would have lost 10%-20% so far.   Luxury vehicles don't buy themselves in Eastern Europe, just saying, there's certain lifestyle expectations to being a NXT whale.   Cheesy

Bwahhahahhahhahhaaa!

If you had bought BTC in the last weeks*, you would have lost 11% (5.5% if you believe today's BTC pump has legs). Same dates in Nxt would have lost 5.2%. Peak to trough for the last weeks in Nxt would be an absolute MAXIMUM of 10.8%. To achieve this feat you would have had to bought at the very top and sold at the very bottom. And the peak to today it would be 7%.

So comparable, if not better, than the performance of the "gold of crypto", depending on how you want to slice the data.

You are either a moron or you think that everybody reading your posts is  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Shame, you used to put more effort into your FUD, the best lies are the ones that are quite close to the truth. Here it is obvious you are just making stuff up  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Beardy Sergey rules  Smiley

And Nxt is taking it's place as The Platform, I'm exciting about that

Both of you are great assets to Nxt. We have some great marketing people too.

Early Xmas presents will be sent soon  Grin
1192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Nxt] Papers: Whitepaper, Academic and Economic on: December 05, 2014, 03:01:52 PM
Would the paper on the research of multibranch forging in PoS systems be a fitting addition here?

The "consensus research" also has some more papers and several simulation tools for forging algorithms.

Can you format the links based on the above and post here?  >> https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/nxt-papers-whitepapers-academic-and-economic/

I'll then update both OPs. Nxtforum is the main one, this one is just a mirror for interest/people searching 'whitepaper' etc.

happy to see polo. as a market, too. I love polo. Smiley and users without NXT account can also buy some NOXT.

Thought for the day, anyone has been able to buy any Nxt AE asset without a Nxt account for about 6 months. You can make purchases in Bitcoin at secureae.com

Here is the link for NOXT > https://trade.secureae.com/#6780060819348751348

Ok guys I managed to withdrawal! Thank you for your efforts in helping me. Smiley

Good good  Smiley

Remember you have to do it once with each new account but after that you are free to send and receive at will.
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: December 03, 2014, 03:23:27 PM
An easier method is to use the Nxt faucet for your first transaction...

http://nxtra.org/faucet/

You just need:

Account ID
Public Key
Email

...all clearly labelled.

Then do the transfer out from Bittrex after that.

(Edit: or jnxt.org above, both do the same thing)
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: December 03, 2014, 03:14:30 PM
Is it a brand new Nxt account you are trying to transfer to?

yes, why?

New accounts display a special code you need to use the first time you use an account, think of it as an activation code.

This code what you need to give Bittrex. I think it is only displayed for a short time the first time you log in(could be wrong). I am not sure how to get it once it is no longer displayed.

I will get you some help.

Speaking of the public key? This is the message I am being displayed

Quote
Welcome to your new NXT account. Your account ID is XXXXXXXXXXX - When funding your account for the first time, you also need to include your public key, which is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX .

Yes, you need to enter your public key (referred to as activation code for simplicity, it is more than this). I am not sure how Bittrex works so look for somewhere to enter your public key when trying to transfer your Nxt. You will only have to do it once.

I have posted on nxtforum.org so someone should be along shortly, if I can't help you resolve it.
