1961  Economy / Gambling / Re: CRYPTLOTTERY - NEW LOTTERY GAME! PROVABLY FAIR AND EASY! on: August 16, 2018, 05:44:11 PM
The cases on this site also seem very suspicious to me- you're claiming that you can get up to 5x your deposited money through these cases in one month and get the same amount afterwards? First of all, I don't see how this is related to a case in any way- the site is reminiscent of the many CS:GO gambling sites I've gambled on, and typically on those sites you roll for an item.

Secondly, seems like OP's running a HYIP embedded in the site as a result of these cases. I would not gamble on this site 'till this is resolved.
1962  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Whole GPU Mining Rigs; Individual Hardware For Sale; Turn-key Hosting on: August 16, 2018, 04:48:34 PM
Just  to clarify, the L3 set is just an L3 at 250MH/s, consuming the standard 400W, but you're just bundling it with a 1000W PSU, correct? Also, I assume the memory is single-channel on motherboards according to your post that they're just 8GB modules, and not 2 4GB sticks?

Additionally, I noticed a minor typo in your post- the H97 and H81 boards only support DDR3 AFAIK and not DDR4. GLWS!
1963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia announces GeForce RTX 2080 on: August 16, 2018, 04:24:29 PM
This cards will not be non-miner GPUs?
I've read somethings like that before. Nvidia has a plan that differant series for gamers and miner.
Gaming cards should be locked for mining.
Maybe I remember wrong.
Locking cards for mining would likely have repercussions elsewhere, as the calls and calculations used are also likely used in gaming and other applications like deep learning. It'd also slow down sales for Nvidia, even though mining profits aren't too good as of right now.

Last time mining cards were released from Nvidia, sales likely weren't good, and the cards were much harder to obtain than regular cards anyways, as well as more expensive AFAIK. They may not be going with that route this time around.
1964  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: August 16, 2018, 03:15:36 PM
You have by far the most shadiest premotions I have ever seen. I made an original acct. And got screwed out of my "deposit bonuses" 3 times in a row. And I onlymes. deposited 3 times. I was screwed out of my free spins every time and my deposit i would click claim and recieve errors. I then emaile support@fortunejack.com the fed me some bs all 3 times so that by the time everything was fixed my bonuses expired.

So I created a new acct signed up for free 25 spins would click claim and would recieve game temporarily unavailable so after talking to "support" they said change my country i did multiple times it did not work (this all happened yesterday) so i get up today it says my deposits were claimed I messaged support saying NO THE GAME DID NOT WORK I HAVE MULTIPLE SCREENSHOTS SENT THEM THE SCREENSHOTS JUST FOR THEM TO MESSAGE BACK AND SAY SORRY YOUR BONUS IS EXPIRED AND YOU CANNOT OWN ALT ACCT.

WELL I WOULD NOT BE USING THE ALT HAD YOU NOT FUCKED ME THE FIRST 3 TIMES THEN I CREATE ANOTHER ACCT VERIFY EMAIL AND PHONE YOU GIVE ME RUN AROUND AND MY BONUS SUDDENLY EXPIRED 2 HOURS BEFORE MESSAGING ME BACK 6 HOURS AFTER I MESSAGED YOU.

Scam!!!!
I would rate 0-10 for only having 4 encounters. And them screw me ober on every one!!!!!

0-10 for u ntrustworthy and shady!!!!

The fact that you are creating multiple account to get that bonus is a shady sign already. No they dont screw you, you are screwing yourself for trying to claim it multiple times and you totally deserved that. This is probably the first time someone reported an error regarding claiming the bonus and it just doesnt make any sense at all
Yep, FortuneJack states in their terms of service that they don't allow multiple accounts (as do many other major crypto casinos). You shouldn't have created a new account, but rather just have continued to contact support about your first issue. You wouldn't have the additional problem of creating multiple alt accounts now if you would've done just that.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining New Alt Coins, how much quantity? on: August 16, 2018, 02:22:40 PM
I just have a dedicated, weaker PC to handle lesser-known coins. I have a cheaper Atom PC with a 2TB external hard drive hooked up to it, and though it's slow, the computer's tiny and cost me just $60 (perhaps an Aliexpress pricing error). Really the only option for some coins, because most don't even offer lite wallets like you mentioned.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours a day are you spending on online gambling? on: August 16, 2018, 12:59:01 PM
I don't even play less than 1 hour a day, I only gamble every few days, usually around a half hour each time. There's simply things that are more interesting to me when I'm bored, like gaming, and I've never been into gambling a lot like some people are. I mainly play for the rush, and I don't usually gamble large amounts. I have better ways to have fun, and I like to use my time productively. I'm not one to sit still.
1967  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the best wallet for iOS that supports SegWit? on: August 16, 2018, 02:29:27 AM
Also, when you're generating a new hardware wallet, double- or triple-check the recovery seed you're writing down. If you don't, and your hardware wallet's lost and/or broken, you'll permanently lose your funds.

A good idea is to create the wallet and write the seed down.

Then reset the wallet, and restore it using the seed.

Now you are 100% sure your seed is correct.
Never thought of that, thanks for the tip! I've had to restore a hardware wallet before, and I was correct with the seed that one time as I was diligent writing down the seed, but this is a step further! I'll definitely keep this in my head for whenever I'm setting up a new hardware wallet, for myself or someone else.
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WinDash.us -- The Social DASH Gambling Game (Faucet Available) on: August 16, 2018, 01:11:57 AM
Here's a simple explanation I've found in regards to AGPL v3 and its requirements: Click here

The site currently satisfies the requirement of publishing its source code, as well as including installation instructions, so that's two items off the list, but I'm not so sure about the rest. I'm not an expert, but things seem better than with Bitcrash previously, as they never even published their source code until ten days after their ANN. I'm sure if the site's in violation of AGPL v3, it'll soon be listed here anyways.
1969  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which is the best wallet for iOS that supports SegWit? on: August 15, 2018, 11:48:00 PM
Now coinomi works on iOS too.
Good Wallet. My favorite multicurrency wallet
Yeah, and best part of it - Coinomi supports SegWit, so it's great option for OP to use on iOS. It's also my favourite wallet for smartphones.
But still, I wouldn't recommend to keep big amounts of money on mobile wallet. It would be safer to use desktop wallet. Or better - purchase hardware wallet or just create paper wallet to use as cold storage.

I use this rule:
Never keep more than your smartphone is worth in a mobile wallet.

I think it's safe to use this rule .

I use a hardware wallet for my main funds.

Also , I forgot to mention. Ledger nano is a segwit that supports iOS.
The rule I like to use is I don't store more than I'm willing to lose in a mobile wallet, just like if I were gambling. Every time I put funds into my hot wallet, I make sure I am okay with potentially losing the money I put into the wallet, then I send the funds.

Paper wallets are just fine if you're not planning to use your funds often in cold storage- they're great for long-term HODLing, but make sure you're laminating the wallet and putting it in a spot that's not humid, dark and cool. If you occasionally need to use your funds, hardware wallets are a good option. I personally have a combination of the two.

Also, when you're generating a new hardware wallet, double- or triple-check the recovery seed you're writing down. If you don't, and your hardware wallet's lost and/or broken, you'll permanently lose your funds.
1970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia announces GeForce RTX 2080 on: August 15, 2018, 11:33:05 PM
Besides mining performance, I'm interested in how the new dual-fan design on the RTX cards will perform on the FE 2080- I don't remember any dual-fan designs from Nvidia in recent times, hopefully temps will be better than with the Pascal FE cards.

BTW curious is that when I google GeForce RTX 2080, google displays: Showing results for GeForce GTX 2080.
Most likely just people not noticing the subtle change from GTX to RTX, some of my friends called the RTX a GTX card as well, 'till I corrected them.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dota 2 - The international 2018 on: August 15, 2018, 10:29:46 PM
I like e-sports but to be fair can't find anything interesting in Dota 2, I prefer fifa and shooters but haven't played for years. But can't understand what's so interesting in dota? Prize of Dota 2 international chempionship is huge, amazing.
Do any of you play in this tournament? Wish you success...
Btw what about dota 2 bitcoin tournament from this forum?
Everyone's got their own tastes, some like RTS games like Dota, others like FPSes and strategy games. I don't like Dota a lot either, but I bet on it often, might just be because my tastes are more oriented towards games like CS:GO though. Seems that Dota 2's more popular and the prizepool's bigger for most Dota torunaments due to that from what I've noticed as well.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At what price point people will stop mining? on: August 15, 2018, 09:39:09 PM
I understand it depends on electricity cost and other "future value" thinking but at what price point of ETH, people plan to stop rig?

Under $200 most will quit or shutoff machines.

Many already have.

That is right. The difficulty is dropping now.

If the difficulty is dropping why I don't see it in my results of Nicehash miner, I had 0.55 mBTC yesterday from a rig with 6 Rx 580 cards and I am still having the same reward daily from the same rig ?

Maybe Nicehash acts a little later and that is why I don't see an increase in rewards value from my miners.
Yep, profitability on Nicehash is based on how much people are willing to pay for your miner, and profitability tends to go up slower than down, especially when difficulty changes are small like what just happened with ETH. Give it some time, it'll likely go up if difficulty doesn't continue going up.

If you're looking for a way to track matches live and/or even just looking for information on TI 2018, GosuGamers is a good option, and Liquipedia is another good site if you're also looking for things like past accomplishments and player transfers, etc. I personally use Liquipedia for tracking CS:GO teams, and I've never had an issue with them-the site's neat and navigable, no complaints from me.

Here's the Liquipedia TI 2018 page.
1974  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you think about the decentralized exchanges? Any good or bad experience? on: August 15, 2018, 08:02:18 PM
Only downside for me is the small orderbook and low volume compared to traditional centralized exchanges, and they sometimes may be less user-friendly compared to the bigger centralized exchanges, but not having to verify yourself to trade is a big upside for me. I do a large portion of my trading on them nowadays; if they could improve on the complexity and make their platforms easier to navigate, volume would definitely rise, but most of them are just somewhat difficult to use if you're starting out. Besides these issues, I've never had major problems with them.
1975  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Wtf steemit. on: August 15, 2018, 02:06:16 AM
Absolutely agree with the post above. Most blockchain-based applications don't allow for the recovery of passwords easily, and the fact that you didn't properly save your long password is the main issue. It's unfortunate that password recovery's not available there, but Steemit gave you ample warning to record your password- a precaution that would've saved your money. It's like generating an address on a hardware wallet and not writing down the seed and losing your funds after the wallet is stolen/destroyed.

If you're still interested in Steemit, write down your username and password for the future, and do so for all future sites or applications where this is necessary. Move on and learn from your mistakes.
1976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I mine any crypto with Corei7 on: August 14, 2018, 12:37:06 PM
It's definitely possible, but like some people have already mentioned, profit margins are extremely low, especially at electrical costs of $0.10/kWh. You're likely only going to make a few pennies after electrical costs even with a more recent i7 processor. If you happen to have one of the older i7 models, depending on your electrical costs, you may just barely be breaking even or possibly go negative in electrical costs.

If you choose to mine on your CPU, make sure you have a cooler that's capable of dissipating the heat your processor's producing. A cheap tower cooler's going to do better than the Intel stock cooler, and also make sure airflow within your case is good if you're mining inside a case. Tidy up cables wherever possible with string or zipties for maximum airflow, and try to tuck them behind the motherboard if there are cutouts in your case to do so.
1977  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare and BTC difficulty on: August 14, 2018, 12:52:07 AM
Are the contracts still profitable/open, and if so, by how much per TH? I just did a quick calculation assuming $0.0035/10GH maintenance costs, and it seems mining's currently significantly unprofitable at the moment with the fees Hashflare's stating on their site here.

I expect the contracts will be closed down again (if they aren't already) if BTC's difficulty continues to increase and prices continue downwards- you probably won't even make enough to withdraw the way things are going right now. Who knows where the price is going from here; I hope it won't be a repeat of 2015, but I can see that happening this time around, though the circumstances and environment are different now.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Numbers speak louder then words! on: August 13, 2018, 06:02:51 PM
Absolutely agree with the 60-70% winning statement- most of the people I know that bet on sports matches often don't have a winrate higher than 60%, most are near 55%. I've never paid to get picks or a 'club' for bets, never will. I hardly ever hear about success from paid predictions anyways.
1979  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: changenow.io - Review? on: August 10, 2018, 02:21:24 AM
Besides all of this, from what I've seen looking at both sites, Shapeshift provides slightly better rates at the moment for certain pairs like ETH/BTC even with their quick swap system. Makes basically no sense to use Changenow anyways if they're requiring KYC occasionally, as Shapeshift has no such requirement. I fail to see why anyone would use a coin swap site with KYC over one with slightly better rates and no KYC. Why swap services if the current one is just fine?

I'll have to inform you that all legitimate instant exchangers have KYC implemented. Meanwhile, ChangeNOW has some rare coin pairs than our market rivals don't. Besides, some people just find our service better and more preferrable than others.
Are you saying that Shapeshift is an illegitimate instant exchange (it's the most used one by popularity and likely by volume), or that they require KYC? I've exchanged several thousand USD in crypto through their system, and I've never had to go through any verification whatsoever, and I seriously doubt they are illegitimate. I can respect your statements of people finding your service better and you guys having some rarer pairs, but I disagree with your first two statements.
1980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie trader on: August 10, 2018, 12:36:09 AM
Start analyzing coins and possible news, start looking at trading guides, try simulated trading (preferably on a platform that doesn't simply provide simulated trading so you can get used to the tools) before you put in any money into trading- there's hundreds if not thousands of ways to get into trading as a newbie, and you better be ready to put effort into it if you want to become serious at trading, just like with any other skill in life. Everyone wants to become a trader, but most people don't have the discipline or patience to actually do it; don't expect it to come easy, no matter what anyone tells you.

Holding coins is also a viable option, but I know some people don't have the patience and it's pretty gut-wrenching if you have weak hands to see BTC or any other alt drop hard in just 24 hours. Remember that you don't have to execute extremely complicated strategies, either. Buying the dip is simple, has worked in the past and it will continue to work.
