1021  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions: This bull market peak price and month it will occur on: May 16, 2019, 01:13:23 AM
I wouldn't be calling tops just yet as BTC pricing tends to go usually wildly above or below what people expect it to be in the future, but I definitely do see a minimum of $90K-100K reached sometime in this bull market. More and more developments are happening for Bitcoin and all of crypto as a whole, ICOs hopefully won't be as prevalent in this bull run, and adoption's also growing at a good pace at this point in time too. I'm still buying BTC with my spare money and buying major dips whenever they happen in the meantime though.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: USB miner for Altcoins on: May 16, 2019, 01:05:35 AM
There's a lot of older ones that aren't very profitable anymore, though even with the newer stickminers you won't get a great amount of profit compared to bigger ASICs.

One of the more popular ones released somewhat recently include the Futurebit Moonlander 2s which are pretty widely available in North America. Jstefanop sells them and they're pretty solid units. As for older alt miners, there's also the DualMiner sticks released a few years ago that only hash Scrypt at around 70KH/s, a fraction of what the Moonlanders do. The DualMiner sticks do look pretty neat though, and they are also capable of mining SHA256 at a relatively slow hashrate too.
1023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Defending your profits without timing the market on: May 15, 2019, 12:44:33 PM
If you’re trading BTC to stablecoins to lock in profit, make sure you convert whatever stablecoin you’re using to fiat as soon as possible and you don’t hold the stablecoin for an extended period of time. Even though there’s plenty of stablecoins out there now like USDC that claim each one of their coins or tokens are backed by a real US dollar, you’re still better off exchanging that to fiat quickly to minimize risk.
1024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Beginner on: May 15, 2019, 12:35:03 PM
I currently use the site antiliquidation.com (click for link) to help me make leveraged trades on Bitmex. The site essentially shows the risk to reward ratio of a trade given the stop, target and entry parameters, and it also shows you how much to put into one position if you’re trying to risk a certain percentage of your total capital. Really useful site, used it a lot as a beginner and it helped me manage risk easily and well.
1025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What trading strategy do you guys use? on: May 15, 2019, 02:17:42 AM
I mostly swing trade with medium leverage. I've never been good at daytrading and trading in extremely low time-frames, but swing trading's been the sweet spot for me considering I don't have a lot of time to trade in the first place. Some days I get good profits and some days I lose a little bit, but I've mostly been coming out on top recently as I've been longing the rise up we've had in the last few weeks.
1026  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do bounty participants enjoy longer or shorter campaigns? on: May 14, 2019, 10:28:48 PM
Depends for me, I used to hop from campaign to campaign from time to time in the past as well and I generally prefer shorter campaigns if the pay is in some token or altcoin and longer ones if the pay is in bigger cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum. I generally don't like to hop from campaigns much anymore, would rather stay in a longer lasting campaign for stability of pay.

I don't like campaigns that aren't run by a reputable member of the forum or are non-escrowed, or ones that have a high minimum post requirement. I don't have an exceptionally great amount of time to post on this forum so campaigns that provide flexibility of post count are great for me.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Three of your favorite bookie/betting info sites? on: May 14, 2019, 10:12:25 PM
I've always just used Flashscore (click for link) for betting info on sports. Nothing too special, site isn't the flashiest thing in the world but it's functional enough for me. There's several similar sites like Scoreboard.com out there that are essentially the same thing as Flashscore out there too, though those sites might differ by the type and amount of data you get when looking at a specific match.
1028  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm against cloud miners. My arguments on: May 14, 2019, 10:06:04 PM
Some of the cloudmining services out there like Hashnest aren't too bad IMO, Hashnest tells you the daily maintenance rate for the miners they sell and they also provide a neat chart to view past earnings for miners per TH in the case of SHA256, and things mostly go smoothly over there. Last time I checked you can also redeem the miners when they become unprofitable if you have enough of the contracts for a specific miner so you can get physical hardware afterwards as well. There's definitely better ways to invest your coins out there though.
1029  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How important are VIP ranks and rewards to you? on: May 14, 2019, 08:35:50 PM
Ranks and bonuses are rather important to me as a gambler, especially for casinos that I regularly play on. Doesn't hurt the casino too much to offer a few bonuses to high rollers and regulars, and the bonuses keep those players coming back. It's always nice to get a little bonus after wagering a medium to large amount of money too even if you come out with an overall loss, and bonuses also add a new twist to games that are somewhat dull (IMO) like dice. It's a goal for some to reach certain ranks on sites as well for bragging rights.
1030  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earning interest on cryptos on: May 14, 2019, 08:28:20 PM
Eh, most services claiming to offer interest on crypto all claim to be ultra-secure, but as with any investment don't risk more than you can afford to lose. 6% isn't too bad in the case of BlockFi and they also claim to have exceptional security, but the risk/reward turns me away personally and I would never risk the funds I have in cold storage on any of these sites.

I've also got a small amount of coin in Freebitco.in and they haven't scammed anybody in the years they've been active, but that could change at any moment.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MINERS DIRECT on: May 13, 2019, 09:54:00 PM
I do not lie mate, here is a pic with the miners! just wanted to help  Roll Eyes

Doesn't prove you have the miners at all; there's no proof you took this picture (in most cases a piece of paper with your forum name and the date works), and besides that extremely new accounts should not be and are not trusted for reviews on this forum as anybody can shill his/her site by registering a brand new account and pretending that the site in question is legit. Everything posted in here points towards this site being a scam, especially with only nonreversible methods of payment being accepted.
1032  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: RESELLER REVIEW&FEEDBACK (NOORDMINER.EU) on: May 13, 2019, 09:48:24 PM
Only payment methods are bank transfer or crypto through CoinPayments which are both irreversible methods of payment, wouldn't trust it. The EURid Whois lookup I performed for this site also shows it was registered just about 10 days ago on the 3rd of April 2019. This is almost certainly a scam site, wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

This post is also currently in the wrong part of the forum. Would be better in the Service Discussion or Altcoin Mining section.
1033  Economy / Speculation / Re: This is getting a bit out of hand.... on: May 13, 2019, 09:37:55 PM
Crazy. We just busted through $8k like it was nothing coming from the upper $6ks today, already past $8k now on Mex ($8100 currently), still adhering to my trading plans and not trying to alter them as much as possible but I'm also not completely closing my positions just in case things blast through faster than expected, volume has also been rising in the last few days on most exchanges with Bitmex at nearly $9B volume yesterday and 6B today, with the day not over yet. Buying pressure's still not letting off yet as well. Truly surprised momentum's been so strong for so long here.
1034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good trading strategy for newcommer? on: May 13, 2019, 09:30:42 PM
Trade with low leverage and put in a very small amount of money you are okay with completely losing in a few hours initially. Don't even try to touch higher leverage; most newbies end up with an empty account trying to trade with high leverage (and most people in general). Learn about trading and crypto in general, read up on how to trade and get yourself comfortable with an exchange you want to trade on, and in time you'll be off and trading on your own.

Try not to depend on other peoples' TA or advice too much, especially when you are starting out in trading. It's extremely important you learn to trade yourself and you aren't spoon-fed with calls. It is always best to make your own decisions in trading.
1035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on the way to $10,000 on: May 11, 2019, 12:18:42 PM
Absolutely incredible that a few months ago people were talking about Bitcoin perhaps falling to $2k and now we're above the $6K November bottom, with very little resistance on the way up as well. Momentum certainly plays an enormous part in where pricing will go, though I do feel like there might be some pullback and before we start going back up again. Alts like LTC and ETH are now starting to significantly rise once again behind BTC as well. Would not be surprised to see $10k in the next few weeks or months at this point, though I'm cautiously going long in case things do start going wrong.
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MINERS DIRECT on: May 10, 2019, 02:02:10 PM
Doesn’t seem legit to me. The site claims to be based in the UK but offers USPS shipping oddly enough, a WHOIS search tells me the site was registered sometime last year, and the only payment methods are non reversible- wire transfer and Bitcoin. Wouldn’t risk my money on it.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dont be dumb gamblers on: May 10, 2019, 01:56:21 PM
If anything, your friend should learn from this mistake to look for reviews from members of this forum about crypto casinos before depositing money on any of ‘em. It definitely sucks that he lost money, but everybody occasionally makes mistakes. The important thing is you learn from them so you don’t make the same mistake again.

Negative trust on an account representing a casino on this forum is usually a good sign that the casino in question is not legit. Your friend should also be reading the most recent few posts on any threads relating to the casino to determine if it’s legit or not.
1038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now that bitcoin has crossed $6100, what are your thoughts? on: May 09, 2019, 08:05:35 PM
I'm starting to turn slightly bullish for the short to mid-term personally. Right now we're hovering right near $6050 and an earlier potential dump or downtrend today was bought back up. RSI on the daily is in the upper 70s right now, but RSI can stay very overbought and oversold for some time (example: November with RSI dipping into single digits on the daily). There's also plenty of people with longs that might take profit above where we currently are. I'm also uncertain where prices are going to go from this point on, though I'm still holding a part of a long from the mid 5000s. Might open up a small long here, but I'll probably just sit out for now.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you start crypto gambling? on: May 09, 2019, 07:51:42 PM
I started gambling with Bitcoin in 2015 and that was actually one of the reasons why I ever bought and discovered Bitcoin in the first place. I was looking for an easier avenue to gamble with than fiat currency, and I happened to stumble upon the Gambling section of this forum and it all started from there. I no longer remember the first site I used, but I put in about 0.15BTC the first time I gambled and came out with somewhere around 0.25BTC- BTC was worth much less than it is now, but that was still a significant win for me.

As for the game I first played, I believe that was dice or roulette. I no longer play those games much anymore as I like to bet on esports such as CS:GO much more, but I still do occasionally deposit some money and roll the dice. Smiley
1040  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What people prefer Now- A Centralized or Decentralized Exchange on: May 09, 2019, 07:37:49 PM
I currently prefer centralized exchanges over decentralized exchanges at the moment because most DEXes have poor volume compared to centralized exchanges, and some are even hard to use. I also mainly trade with leverage using Bitmex, and there aren't any decentralized options for leveraged trading at the moment AFAIK. Most of 'em also don't work nearly as well as advertised unfortunately, although I could see DEXes becoming more popular in the future when KYC starts being required on more and more exchanges.
