1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you believe in Litecoin? on: November 30, 2022, 03:29:03 AM

In various aspect Litecoin is one of the best coins in the market today. As we know this coin is built on the Bitcoin protocol which was created in 2011 from a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain. Investors have a positive attitude towards this coin. When the market stabilizes to a better position many will be aware of the dominance of this coin. Currently this coin has gained quite a reputation as a payment method. The coin also holds the 15th rank in market cap. Many agree that it will pump big into the bullish period. The coin is about 82.4 percent below its current price which can be called a good means of reliable investment.

And only a few people had seen the negative view of Litecoin as more of us still believe that Litecoin remains a potential and useful platform.
I'm one of those thousands who use and spend money on Litecoin and despite the tough market competition, I'd never lose my faith in this project. I'd base not only on the position of the project before to say it was a promising one but I look deeper and see the significance of the project for this will help to measure where it goes.
1962  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's understand about what can be the actual long term holding... on: November 29, 2022, 11:16:27 PM
People must understand that making a profit here in crypto doesn't just come in just a few days unless you are in trading.
But because we are talking about holding - this means that it takes months to years or even decades, from short-term to long-term holding.
Quote
What is a short-term investment?
If you’re making a short-term investment, you’re often doing so because you need to have the money at a certain time. If you’re saving for a down payment on a house or a wedding, for example, the money must be at the ready. Short-term investments are those you make for less than three years.
https://www.bankrate.com/investing/best-short-term-investments/
So if we are talking about long-term investment, that for sure it is more than that and it depends on how long we have to keep our investment running.
Because this is a game of patience and sadly, not all have that winning strategy as they mostly fall into short-term.
1963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some government scared of Bitcoin? on: November 29, 2022, 09:51:55 PM

Making Bitcoin a legal tender means when a person goes to purchase a commodity, instead of paying with dollar or whatever currency is being used, they pay with BTC.

Given the unstable nature of cryptocurrencies, and the untraceable nature, would you suggest it wise for countries to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender?

Recently, El Salvador and Central African Republic announced that they have adopted Bitcoin as a legal tender.
Given the nature of the market and Bitcoin's features, they are preferred to have a technology that they can control and urge people to pay taxes which is likely impossible with Bitcoin.

Some countries decline to have Bitcoin also because they believe that this is one reason that helps to increase criminal activities. They somehow put some blame on it because of its anonymity feature and instant sending (possible).
Though people are preferred to have this kind of system, however, the adoption is going slow due to a lack of support which sometimes discourages especially for merchants and other establishments owners.
1964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 29, 2022, 12:20:50 PM
In terms of experienced, I think Casimero does have a greater weight compared to Akaho.

Casimero becomes a champion at 118 lbs while Akaho doesn't have any good achievements at 122 lbs. There are not many differences in fighting at 118 lbs and 122 lbs that's why it's clear that Casimero owns every advantage here in this fight.

The only problem on the side of Casimero is ring rust which I think he can surely address on the day of the fight.

As to number of fights, Akaho has better experience because he has 39 fights which is higher than the total fights of Casimero, however, we should look at the quality of opponents here and certainly Casimero has the advantage in terms of opponents he beat. This isn't really a hype fight as Casimero is popular while Akaho is just an ordinary boxer, however, Casimero should not underestimate his opponent.

as casimero wants to redeem himself, he should not really take this fight for granted. remember the fights that didn't pursue because of his weight issues, now, that he moves up to a higher weight division, he should not give anymore excuses to delay or pause the fight. he doesn't have much time to make another excuse as he is also battling with time. inoue is already far away from his reach, where he previously was chasing after to fight with.

It's gonna be his last chance, if he is not going to show up here then there's no way he can come back of being a champion. It's very simple, not beating non-champion makes him have no chance of beating a champion. Akaho is not a popular boxer, spectators might think it's just an easy fight for him, but he should be calm, don't talk too much trash-talk, just wait for his time to prove that he deserve to be a champion.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 29, 2022, 12:00:14 PM

Bay Area Vs. an independent team? I don't expect it though I will not be surprised. Bay Area Vs. Ginebra will be the best match-up for the PBA Finals because Ginebra fans will surely watch them play live and it's a win-win for both the league and the fans. More revenue and more excitement.

I think this to happen, and though I believe that Bay Area is going to be the favorite but I'm pretty sure Ginebra will not be dominated. Filipino fans would be willing to risk their money betting on Ginebra because they are the crowd favorite, and not only that, they are also the underdog, so that adds more value.
1966  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: November 28, 2022, 10:27:35 PM
I have been working as a freelancer for years, and I have saved some reasonable sum of money. now knowing the full potential that cryptocurrencies have, I am now confused on what to do if is to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish a business while still working as a freelancer, I don't know the one I should do at moment, if to invest in cryptocurrencies or to establish my business.
If I were in your position, I will run a business and continue working. Investing in crypto is also a good choice but that should be in limitation and only if you have excess money after establishing your business. But during this bear season, investing in them will take long before you will gain a profit, so if you are not comfortable with waiting long then better not to do it. Crypto investment can't give you a profit everyday, unlike in a business at least you can get some returns every day.
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Good the bad and the ugly side of airdrops on: November 28, 2022, 09:57:27 PM
All of these days, I haven't seen any airdrops that are worth participating in. Might be too harsh to say they are worthless but that is the reality now. Some developers try to offer airdrops to promote their non-working projects and promised huge rewards but you can just sell them if they become successful. And the question is if they become successful. Because mostly it turn into a broken promise and after the airdrops, we never heard any updates from them on whether the project succeed or not, and where we can trade our free coins.

1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2022, 06:31:17 AM

The next 10 games for the Lakers would be the challenge for them whether or not they have improved.
Most of them are above .500 teams and we all know this could be tough for the Lakers considering how bad they played early this season.

They're still in the top 13 in the western conference and they need more wins to catch up and to get a spot in the playoff tree because they cannot put themselves in the play-in tournament where they will gonna blame the association again for putting this pre-playoffs tournament before getting into real playoffs. These next 10 games are crucial for them and they need to show the same great play and determination to win in order to beat these teams or get more wins to improve their rank.

I hope they'll at least participate in the play-in, they seemed to have really improve from being worst into a bit better now. hehe.. Guess what? If Lakers will failed again this season, I have a feeling that they'll trade Lebron and Westbrook, probably go into rebuilding program.
1970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't dying, it's alive. on: November 25, 2022, 02:12:52 PM
no one knows where bitcoin will go in the end, will it survive or will it continue to decline and the trend will fade,
with complete trust in bitcoin it will all exist and survive. it's true what you said holding bitcoins to the maximum value is the best right now,
lastly, why do you believe in elon musk as a determinant of the value of bitcoin, all of that is not affected by elon, but the current price is because the world is in a crisis so people are selling assets for the sake of future survival
I will tend to agree that Bitcoin will never be here and still be valuable forever but I see this is not the main reason to say it was the end of its journey. I was very optimistic about it because of my experience in the last bear season where I even say it was one of the worse scenarios in the market. But I'd never give up trusting this project nor I was afraid of the future because I was ready to face the crisis the same thing I did in the past.
Elon Musk is even saying the rise is coming, I guess that was true.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 25, 2022, 01:29:20 PM

Jazz have lost two matches in a row. Before that, they were showing positive performances. I know some of the matches they've played have been really close. But they did get the result in their favor. From the next game on, I hope they will be able to perform better.

I was disappointed with their game against the Pistons, they should win that game but we didn't see that because what happened was the opposite. I don't know if their method was already exposed, or they are just not making an adjustment in the game. Clarkson was still the best score in that game but their big man wasn't so efficient that time, hopefully, they'll bounce back in their next game.

Next game will be up against the Warriors, that's surely a tough one for them, but upsets are possible.
1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 25, 2022, 12:50:47 PM

TBH, even if Jordan Clarkson and Brownlee will play alongside each other on the FIBA'23, we will still be having a hard time winning games in that big tournament.

I definitely agree with that but at least our team will be more competitive, I'm not expecting they'll win most games but watching them give their opponent a hard time, would already make the fans happy. I now remember the old Gilas with TR47, they don't win most games but they are fun to watch.

Basketball program in other country is so advance while in Philippines they seems stuck with the old system so its nor surprising at all that they will lose on big games knowing that they are so underdog on that tournament. But at least the experience is so good and we can see our flag been raised battling on sports which is number 1 love by Filipinos so for sure even we know that they will lose on power house country still the excitement of fans still there because many are curious to know if they can defeat or make the life of Nba stars hard in the court.

I think that's not the case, what I believe the problem is our height because if you look at the international games, you can tell the height average of other nations are taller than ours, so with their physicality, we can never beat them.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 25, 2022, 11:50:31 AM
They didn't give any opportunity for Clippers to make any attempt of rally, making sure that they will not blow the big lead from the first half.

All the core stars are playing at their best, showing fans appreciations and making sure that after the game everyone will enjoy.

That's because the Clippers are undermanned and the Warriors are playing very well at home.  All the core stars are playing at their best? I disagree with that because if you look at the stats sheet, Poole only made    8 points from 3 of 15 shooting, I believe he a superstar as well?

1975  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reminder: Just Like the Internet, Bitcoin will Thrive on: November 25, 2022, 09:28:53 AM
Instead of staying away from FUDs, we'd rather help ourselves ready to see them. Because whether we like it or not, FUDs will exist and some whales use this to manipulate the market. But despite all of these things, I remain optimistic and trusted Bitcoin. Might some people be worried about the future of Bitcoin but I know they will change their view once they see that Bitcoin recovers from the dip. I'd see that appreciation comes late and if this will never happen in crypto, nobody will ever believe the potentiality of this technology.
1976  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin survive the apocalyse? on: November 25, 2022, 05:50:41 AM
Apocalypse is the worse thing happen to us, not a simple thing that we can think Bitcoin will still survive.
So, if that will happen, I don't care about Bitcoin but rather to keep myself and my family alive which is more important than any valuable asset. But if we just talk about inflations, wars, and economic crises - of course, Bitcoin will survive. Like we have today, we could still think that Bitcoin will recover from the dip.
1977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Price Drop - How are Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Responding? on: November 25, 2022, 05:08:55 AM
Long-term holders will remain focused on what they do, they keep holding no matter what.
Because what really is that these short-term holders make the market more volatile. While these long-term holders make themselves too easy. Perhaps, they'll never check the market often and that is why they are not too affected by the dump and any market movement. Because they believe that this price drop is not long-term, it is soon to recover. Meaning, profit is still possible in the future, unlike others who have been bothered too much by the changes.
1978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: November 24, 2022, 11:52:22 PM
it won't be good for the long term of crypto. they will think crypto is just a scam because the exchange to exchange it for real money where FTX is a big exchange actually disappeared because of the big theft. We used to know crypto 2017 had the same stable exchange but now when they have disappeared crypto is difficult to grow better.
People are right that the crypto market is full of scams (exchanges and projects). It really affects the trust of new investors and the community.
But this is what I say, never take these issues seriously, invest the amount that we can afford to lose, and most of all, invest only in those projects that we know can be trusted like Bitcoin and ETH.

And the last thing is that use exchanges for trade only, not as storage then you can say you are safe.
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 24, 2022, 11:31:35 PM
When we make predictions it is important to not let our personal feelings cloud or judgment, I think that given the circumstances many people and I include myself there would like for the price to recover even if a little bit during the next days, but we need to face the reality and accept this will not happen, people are still in a state of panic and there are a lot of rumors circulating about the possibility of other exchanges having problems since the fall of FTX, and until people calm down there is no hope at all for a pump to happen.

For now, I'd like to see the fall continue for a while as I wait for the best price to buy. I have been waiting for a fall for a long time, but I confess that I did not expect that the fall could be so significant, and probably it would be possible to buy already, since yesterday it is clear that a reversal has begun, but I think that this may be a temporary increase and after that the fall will continue.
It seems that the price is moving between 15k and 16k and I expect this to remain true for some months, however I really think it is possible we are going to keep hearing about other exchanges being near a complete collapse, and this is because many people are scared about what it is happening and they are withdrawing their money from exchanges, and if those exchanges were in a bad shape before then it makes sense that after so much money is withdrawn they will face an even more difficult scenario and they could collapse at any moment.
FUDs can still be a big factor affecting the market trend. And as long as we are hearing negative issues, not only in exchanges but also in social media, we really expect more dump of price. However, it was not the thing we have to focus on but have to look for another opportunity while the bear market is dominating.
Reaching the price of Bitcoin to $10k is probably the worse scenario in this bear season. But I remain calm and enjoy watching the candle stick.
1980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So many good news but Market and coins don't go up on: November 24, 2022, 09:54:17 PM
How I wish there are good news. Maybe I am in a parallel world as I have not seen them yet.

Don't worry. Even if good news is not yet out and just building up, or someone leaked it out but it had not gone thru mainstream media yet, there will definitely be a pump next to it.
Those whales will start buying back expecting a big wave to come. They would always want to be dragged by that kind of flow just before everyone knows about it.
Always to see that whales are taking advantage of the situation while there are big price deductions in the market. They are making these panic sellers fools while whales are buying them low. I know people have noticed it but when emotions strike us, we can never think about it as our mind is covered already with negativity, not optimism. Too late to realize that we are wrong and that is why whales become richer while casual investors remain the same.
