1981  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be calm and let things flow. on: February 17, 2023, 09:30:57 AM
Or we could just enjoy and relax while we are learning here. Some people make it so serious to be here, that even the concept of patience have been forgotten. Most newbies questions nowadays are about getting into higher rank and merits, since they are excited or curious what does it feel like to be on these levels. Lets just instinct take over, the moment we let it flow naturally they could even sense potential merits along the way without even realizing thay they improving slowly.
1982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you manage risk in crypto currency on: February 17, 2023, 09:10:46 AM
Please I want to know the risk management in cryptocurrency an how to calculate them for both investor and trader.
Im not sure if this can be specifically quantified for risk assesment it will always depend on your budget. If you are a trader whose fund for example is $100, and you dont want to get burn a lot. Then use that to buy a particular stock. Now if its value goes down beyond your  loss assumption let say 20% only then at $80 just sold it. If thats your allowable money to risk with. Depends on your apetite actually and time for this kind of loss. But if you are an investor, you should not look into prices like traders do cause you are doing long term. Even it goes down more than 50% just leave it. You are investing for long term goal and dont mind the drop.
1983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If it was you on: February 17, 2023, 07:59:32 AM
Between future and spot trading which will you opt in for.
No questions spot trading. The only direction or concept youll think is youll gain if the market goes up and youll lose if the market goes down. Its easy, and the only parameter youll think is how good your token being watch here. While on future you can gain in both directions but predicting the market is somehow bit different and risky. Some might be good at profiting on this but required a lot of skills and knowledge. Not really sure if those parameters they are using work on their end cause market is unpredictable anyways. To be safe spot trading especially for newbies out there.
1984  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Identification of scammers? on: February 17, 2023, 07:18:10 AM
Am a beginner and I was telling a friend about this forum and it's beneficiaries, but it all turns that he said it all a scam so I want to know how to identify scammers and if there is any how can we know them as a beginner.
The forum isnt a scam but some of the projects basically in altcoins that launches or being introduced here are scams. Not generalizing it, but typically you could determine if a project is a scam based on their presentation ans moreover on your deep research about it. From ground roots like website, team profiles, and etc.

You could also see some scams being busted herr if you go to this particular thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any successful ICOs or NFTs lately that ran bounty marketing here? on: February 17, 2023, 06:37:48 AM
I am trying to determine if it still makes sense to use Bounty for promotion of crypto projects - has there been any successful projects that actually used Bounty and then awarded bounty participants? In any niche, DNFs , Gaming, ICOs any type of fundraising campaigns
Maybe but not here anymore on forum. I believe most good bounty or promotions are outside of it now. Maybe before crypto started to bloom, forum is the best placr to market the project but now there are plenty of social platform that effectively use to earn from rewards or community promotions. Like coingecko, they have now marketing promotions and give airdrops to users on doing task. Recently acs protocol given good rewards to participants.
1986  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It feels good to learn something new about Bitcoin almost every day on the forum on: February 16, 2023, 02:24:45 PM
I thought this forum is all about learning and sharing information? How will others know this same thing?
Yes it is. But there are certain things that dont need to be posted as new topic. Let say you learn some new things, you could keep it to yourself since we are here to learn and also if you wanted to share its fine too as long as you use search engine to check whether the topic youve learn has been posted already by someone or not. Cause it may cause a redundancy of same topic threads.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth staking stablecoins? on: February 16, 2023, 12:28:12 PM
Do you know the safest way to stake stablecoins without breaking the bank? Also, do you think it's worth it? Or should I consider other options? Any suggestions and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley
Curve for decentralized though Im seeing some stablecoin pools on bsc network but I am yet to know if these platforms are trusted though. Its also the rate of return, of course calculate the rate of inflation on your country and find one that is higher on those platform, of course secure also which is safest. Binance have a 6% on their busd pool. Thats not bad if you want your stable to move while holding, but do this only if you can trust any cex out there. If gonna risk on a cex Id choose binance.  But decentralized platform is better without any ties.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad feeling like a bomb is gonna go off on: February 16, 2023, 12:17:16 PM
But yesterday this did not happen. We were rewarded nice profit from the last 24 hours from top alt coins like Ethereum, BNB, XRP, ADA, Doge, and Matic. Maybe we will see Bitcoin for 25k today and alt will continue to moon.
Breaking that level might unlock a good and potential market movement. Since bitcoin able to break 24k before, and now his here again at this level. Now if we can aggresively go to that range maybe a 30kish is bullish position. But it will take time as a lot of funds needed. Plus we should see some gaps level below this current position to be filled in first prior to moving on those levels.
1989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Digital Currencies Should Be Adopted Globally on: February 16, 2023, 10:04:08 AM
I think everyone without much restriction on their country can use digital cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin. There are a lots of merchants that uses and accept crypto as payments. Of course even though its not yet globally used this will increase more as long as crypto will continue to build its adoption and promotions. Its not like its gonna replace banks. But an additional gateway for easy finance management. With blockchain tech, this can be more utilized in different industries.
1990  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to trade your Bitcoin on: February 16, 2023, 08:18:56 AM
I strongly believe that bitcoin is one of the best investment someone can invest but the question is how can I do it I really need the help of this room please
In terms of multiplier gains I think some altcoins can beat that overtime. But bitcoin is one of the trusted crypto in the industry and you might not be bothered of potential scam like altcoins.

Just like littlemouse said, you could use Binance if cex isnt a thing or issue with you, and he did suggest a dex for bitcoin trading. Might as well, focus on doing decentralized first, by incorporating yourself with how to handle btc in wallets. Then proceed only on cex, if you are comfortable already.
1991  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: in my opinion don't buy crypto at high prices on: February 16, 2023, 06:49:27 AM
You need to study there the tokenomics of the project. Cause its based on its circulating supply, price point in which its started or does it have a sale or private sale price. You could determine if its overprice or underprice based on these parameters. Like example its supply is 1000 tokens only 1 token might be price at 50k each cause of very small supply but it doesnt mean its expensive since they are very limited shares. Also the marketcap does it relate to the current price and project stance. You need to study all of these.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB & BUSD Under Attack on: February 15, 2023, 11:23:14 AM
The news are simply to sway in Big exchange Binance but would you think the number 1 centralized exchangw would badge on this? Especially CZ is one of the richest crypto people out there. Of course they will take action and their CEO simply defend the issue on social media.

I dont know whats the big fuss about it but only some might panic on this considering how huge Binance is. Its about the concern on Busd on paxos issuer, but deliberately all US related product on crypto might enter this kind of issue cause we all knew how strict US when it comes to regulation.
1993  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto makes you more attractive, according to a new survey on: February 15, 2023, 09:27:28 AM
From the outside looks you are probably looks good but never they did know that maybe you are - 80 to 90% down on your portfolio doesnt make you really attractive plus the one who will be are those gold diggers that thinking you migt buy them expensive bags and clothes when you do shopping. I couldnt say for all but the person related to crypto can be attractive more if he are using his/her fund wisely to denominate more sources of income stream from other types.
1994  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investing for beginners must be large capital or small capital. on: February 15, 2023, 09:00:48 AM
I am a beginner in bitcoin and crypto, I want to ask all of you, do you have to invest in crypto with small capital or large capital? in my opinion, if our invest in crypto for beginners and invest with large capital, it seems that if you fail, you will experience big losses, but if you make a profit, it will definitely be big, so what do you think?
Either its small or big amount of money. Its still a gamble or risk you need to endure or take. Mostly people in crypto experience loss instead of gaining cause they dont know how to properly done investing and they are supress by their emotions when they saw their asset shrinking. Thats normal cause if its only going up, then either you are a really good investor who picks solid one or the market is pretty fucked up.
1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is suitable and reliable for staking? on: February 15, 2023, 07:54:51 AM
I do not know about EVMOS than the coin did not pump during this last bull run. Osmosis pumped from around $0.6 to $1.25.
Evmos was bigger on apy compared to osmo, but you are right, they didnt ride the pumping during the last wave of bullish. I am doing staking of evmos and I could say that they are still in good shape and lots of upcoming progress and development update from the team. Ive got my tokens from airdrop so I am just staking it freely on their platform through metamask. I believe they are still a low cap gem that need to watch out in the future. They only need more exposure and additional dapps to have gain more activities on their network.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 15, 2023, 07:44:36 AM
I noticed that Recently CoinMarketCap website has been adding new Tokens without verifying the Token team, goals, and if it's legit.
Most of these currencies collapse during the first weeks of its launch.
i Remember that the website used to check every Token before publishing it to the public.
Has anyone noticed that as well?
Maybe a rumor or a vague statement. Im pretty sure coinmarketcap list some of the project with required classification on their prerequisites. Im not a fan of coi marketcap, but they are doing great I think. If you think they are lousy on listing tokens then kindly message them cause as long those project are good with the assesment whether they are anonymous or what they will list it especially if they have volume which traders might click on their website to have reference of information.
1997  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid altcoins and shitcoins because they cannot be stored personally. on: February 14, 2023, 12:26:09 PM
There are many wallets where you can keep most of the altcoins. Since you are a newbie and don't know much about crypto you are not qualified to suggest others.
Also lets forget about wallets, you can make profit from other altcoins and convert them into bitcoin if you have any issues with other wallets.
We can always correct them, but I think he did have some humility there when he mentioned he does not have enough knowledge. But the topic is been a decade routinely opened here about altcoin and investment. Pretty sure he did some homework researching those. What we can do is encourage them to study first, before playing a dangerous path on altcoins. Sure there are ways to earn on altcoins no doubt about that. But we must help them to control and discipline their selves from doing heavy on it to avoid such bitter loss.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 14, 2023, 09:39:10 AM
Now that we know USDT and USDC are untouchable by SEC for they are issued by US companies, I guess there is more to trust these stablecoin than any stablecoin issued by anyone. Therefore, USDT is safer at least that's what it appears to be.
Maybe just dont trust these stablecoins. There are grounds to what limits could happen in the future provided even they are in the united state issued. Who knows if this is just a fud lingering on busd, but every stablecoins has their own issue and we must at least remember that the only trusted to be fully decentralized ia btc so far.
1999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Success in life on: February 14, 2023, 09:16:44 AM
Depends on what is your standing. What you mean by unsuccesful by the way. Is it like no money or nothing to gain from job or even source of income? If like that, then you must find a job for once. Being involve in crypto needs fund for investment and trading, you arent gonna earn for free here unless you got involve on such high skull which can be compensated in crypto itself. Yes there are some ways like joining signature campaign, but thats out of the subject if you are newbie, cause you need to learn first a lot before going there.
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 14, 2023, 07:58:04 AM
I still trust USDT but I don’t hold it, I still prefer to hold Bitcoin and only use stablecoins for my trading activities, also don’t hold on any exchanges because it not safe.
Thats better I guess. Usdt are good for trading purposes due to the volume on exchanges but once you are the onr using it always trade it for fiat via p2p or choose a major coin like btc and eth to hold your asset. We dont know when usdt could gone wrong or become same like what happened to ust. Since some events in the past shows the history of usdt that has some frozen asset which clearly says that decentralized couldnt use on their tokens.

Imagine they could freese asset of whoever they wanted too.
