1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain replace bank? on: September 19, 2018, 11:18:44 PM
Blokchain can easily replace a bank because it is transparent and safe, but before that it needs to become as convenient as a bank, people first have to learn to trust a blockchain only then they will take their money there. Unfortunately, most people, associate blockchain with bad things.
NO. people generally think of blockchain as a good thing because so many company has repeatedly saying that this blockchain technology could be useful for humanity but the opposite for cryptocurrency which is one of blockchain product. Moreover blockchain can be used by bank too.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many projects are dead? on: September 19, 2018, 11:15:13 PM
I thought so. There are so many project that are dead. I think because of the uncompetitive people behind that project. They just left their project without any further explanation.
most of them failure to deliver what they actually expect while the rest sucesfully making finished product but no one use it whatsoever because the idea is not too revolutionary and the problem that is solved by releasing such product is not that important.
Most of the project that failure are those that's not actually needed by the society.
1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung To Accept Cryptocurrencies As Payments- Good or Bad? on: September 19, 2018, 11:13:05 PM
Wow! I wish the news is true. It would have been a great improvement to the cryptocurrency system because this is the kind of news we are waiting for.
Indeed, it's the sort of news the cryptoworld have been yearning for, because an endorsement by such a giant company would have multiplier effect on adoption, market capitalization and prices of coins.  Almost all cryptocurrency enthusiasts would wish it's true.

Quote
But I strongly believe that we will get there especially now that most countries are subscribing to cashless policy, and when it comes to cashless policy cryptocurrency takes the lead.
I think we're not there yet as there're lots of rough edges that need be smoothed out and at the moment, I think lot of country's policy on cashless society has little or no emphasis on cryptocurreny.
Yeah unfortunately those cashless policy are meant for centralized services, and those kind of service are like paypal not bitcoin or other decentralized money.
However people tend to use something that is recommended by the govenrment so it's kinda difficult to see people use cryptocurrency.
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency to be Taught in Schools? on: September 19, 2018, 03:13:59 AM
Hi guys!
I'm pretty sure that many of you have been experiencing difficulty on making other people aware of cryptocurrency and how it works, right? I myself find it hard to explain it even to my own family. Once you mention it to them, the first thing that comes to their mind is that it's a scam. Can't blame them though because the news about crypto scams are always hyped in social media and believe me, even my 70 year old mom has Facebook!

Anyway, I realized that this is the case because there has never really been any formal education about it at all. We knew about it only thru word of the mouth right and we only got to learn it slowly thru experience. This said, I'm thinking, what if it's taught in schools? Perhaps just start with those taking Accountancy or Banking and Finance courses to begin with, then eventually incorporate it to Mathematics subject or whatever in High School? After all, they were able to do that with banking, right? Why not with cryptocurrency? What do you think?

I think the crypto idea is taught in school so that young people can invest it is not wrong.
the problem is you don't have to bother explaining crypto to other people, just prove what you produce from crypto then people will trust you.
Dont be too close minded person just imagine a youngster investing and then ended up losing that'd be a disaster their primary need is an education maybe explaining what is bitcoin and what is blockchain is fine but encourage them to invest is a big NO NO never think that bitcoin is a magic that could turn people rich within a night
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Drop in ICO Price after listing on: September 19, 2018, 03:11:22 AM
Indeed the actual concept of the ICO was very nice. but unfortunately, the ICO is not strong and mature concept, after the distribution process is usually the price of tokens will immediately drop. and I think it is almost always the case in an ICO.
It's like natural law where the strongest will survive, most of the coin you see maybe is just shitcoin with no mature idea or just plain too ridiculous to be realized
Although most of the coin that I can see surviving are those with finished product
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH?? on: September 16, 2018, 03:16:42 PM
In my own opinion, the whole market depends on bitcoin. Altcoin prices mostly depends on bitcoin than ethereum even though the trading pairs are mostly in ethereum, the price of ethereum depends on the price of bitcoin which means the altcoin prices indirectly depends on bitcoin price due to trading pairs. We have seen it that since bitcoin price has been falling, ethereum price has also been falling and so with altcoins too even tho some altcoins are on the rise but because its trading pair is in ethereum or bitcoin. Its value is reduced.  I feel all coins in the market is dependent on Bitcoins value
That's kinda true but think about it more, I think that altcoin is not literally dependant on both btc and ethereum but instead they mostly got affected by the market emotionally that they will forcefully get into the mass to panicly selling or buying, that's just my thought.
However the affection of both bitcoin and ethereum is so strong to altcoin
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: September 16, 2018, 03:13:58 PM
Altcoin will never die in digital currency. While BTC there are still other digital currencies there will always be and will never disappear from circulation.
yeah there will be altcoin that meet its end or in otherword cant survive but altcoin can be created easily so I guess there will always be a new one and also the best among other altcoin will survive for sure.
most of the altcoin that's top #20 can survive easily since they have a strong community to back up
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: September 15, 2018, 06:41:57 AM
It could be true because there are many Alts actually have no working products. Altcoins that can survive are those patronize by the investors and have a real working product.
Only real working product is not enough but it must be a real working product that's popular enough so that the community will always live.
Even project that already has finished product but no one is using it will just fade away because no one trying to use it so it will be forgotten slowly.
1989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIRTUAL CURRENCIES RATHER THAN FIAT, IS IT POSSIBLE? on: September 15, 2018, 06:38:20 AM
Well I think maybe people of using fiat money will be decrease gradually but it will exist always.

In the future I think more and more people will use card to pay than fiat money, you see in china they use alipay, in korea they use kakaopay and the rest of the world will follow once more and more people are open to the technology and have access to the technology that could make paying with app or card real. Although most of country still struggle to implement this, developed country is already on its way
1990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: September 15, 2018, 05:37:40 AM
Rating are now  available for money. Its not trust able.
People generally just finding the detail about the projec though, let alone that biased review of ICO that most of them are just simply advertised review.
People are already smart enough to know that they cant fully trust those reviewers that's credibility can be doubted.
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think ICO investors are Decreasing? on: September 15, 2018, 05:02:22 AM
Yes, you are right, the current market for crypto is indeed a shortage of investors. Many investors currently cease to invest because many coin scam and the price is getting crashed. So they will wait until the price is stable and coins back to invest.
There's no report that could prove whether it's the people that's getting out of the train or just the market capitalisation decrease because the price of coins decreasing at the same time also means the flowing money decrease.
But as people said, the hype is gone, now it'll be as usual like kickstarter, crowdfunding or IPO. I guess it's very normal considering that it cant always get hyped up forever.
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano will destroy Ethereum! on: September 14, 2018, 05:29:43 PM
A lot of people are optimistic that cardano will surely destroy ethereum. let me tell you its not happening anytime soon. Ethereum has a market share which has captured on basis of its technology and ethereum network. Its founder and dev team are working hard that it does not lose out to others.
Let alone all those thing, the gap between both market cap is quite big that it would definitely take sometime for cardano to catch up. No one know what will happen in the future but simply seeing
the market capitalisation right now is surely show us that cardano need to struggle a lot to achieve what ethereum has been sitting right now.
1993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: September 14, 2018, 05:27:47 PM
Many community members have been claiming lately that altcoins are going to die or at least that 90% of altcoins are doomed. I tend to agree with them that there are many coins and tokens that are pointless and won't survive. Another cathegory are alts with solid foundations but won't manage to fight with their competitors as naturally there are numerous projects with same visions. But if you trust the project you invested in, there is no reason to change your mind just because someone says many altcoins won't succeed. Do your research and trust only your own judgement, because many ALTCOINS ARE HERE TO STAY!

yes now is the state of altcoin is very threatened because of the many altcoins that are scam. we have to do research on an ICO project by looking at white paper and videos about the company, if the video they show and where the company is located, I think the project is not a scam.
They could just buy a video or rent a unit of apartment for quite of price to scam people since they are planning to grab million of dollars that is possible. If you really want to be sure about the project
you need to see whether they are ever appearing in conference or crypto forum. Or even better the project lead by a famous person and his clarification ofcourse.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What attracts you to a good crypto exchange? on: September 13, 2018, 04:32:04 PM
For me the best exchange is
1. User friendly
2. Active support team
3. Fast deposit/withdrawal
4. Plain and simple platform
5. Super fast server
And most is high volume and many coins..
Well speaking of the truth unfortunately most of the exchanges that offer such things is the one that's in the beginning stage or marketing stage, if the exchange is popular enough they would struggle to give all that because keeping the support active for example need tremendous amount of workers. But all of those quite easy to be done by not so popular exchanges.
1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum Mining still profitable? on: September 11, 2018, 03:02:55 AM
That obvious answer is depends. Electricity cost varies as well as the mining rig since a country will have different taxation rules, however investment wise if you don't sell it immediately or wait till the price is higher it might be profitable for you.
However at the current price, dont expect too much from it. most of people that are still holding on are those that has invested to it for a long time and they sure know what they're doing.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Funding for ICOs Drops to the Lowest in 16 Months on: September 11, 2018, 02:49:53 AM
They calculate in $, ICO use cryptocurrencies to raise fund and currently it's bearish not even surpass $10K but stuck below $8K
therefore my thinking is that the fundraising hits the lowest because the value of overall altcoin and the market capitalisation is significantly decreasing.
Maybe they should calculate the overall startup fundraising in crypto
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: If an exchange gets hacked on: September 11, 2018, 02:45:25 AM
It depends on which exchange , in as much as they are susceptible to hack and lost of funs some exchanges have gone ahead to insure their exchange and can pay back individuals when lost occurs
and what about coinsmarkets? they don't pay individuals, they disappear and run away just after their market is hacked, I see there are hundreds or even hundreds of BTC carried by hackers
Never heard of it honestly, that's why I can speculate that this exchange is not officially licensed by any authority or simply a dummy exchange.
They might said that they got hacked but who knows if it's inside job.
This kind of thing often happen to crappy exchange that was made to steal people's money too, so watch yourself.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: except for bitcoin, what is your prefer? on: September 11, 2018, 02:15:41 AM
if Bitcoin is banned all over the world, then payment media that can be accepted may be PayPal, Perfec Mone and CreditCard
but I think Bitcoin will never be banned by all countries, because this asset is decentralized and also has no major influence on the world economy
Paypal is the reason why many people use bitcoin tho. the borderless and decentralized nature of cryptocurrency make it best for digital transaction.
while with paypal youre given so many complicated things to use, like their rules sometimes doesn't make sense, different with bitcoin that you can do whatever you can to your own money.
1999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano will destroy Ethereum! on: September 11, 2018, 02:14:02 AM
Cardano is wonderful project and I have a lot of faith in it, but why do you think that have to destroy Ethereum?
Ethereum is the best altcoin in my opinion and Cardano is not good enough to kill it.

I agree with you. Ethereum is the best altcoin and certainly has power that is not comparable to Cardano. Cardano grew well but for now it is not a threat to ethereum.

Why not? You know Cardano is a very good project. do you know ethereum prices are now on the market? Are you sure your ethereum will survive? Cardano might not be as popular as ethereum. but currently ethereum is not the best choice either.
I call that a normal volatility for ETH, maybe you are underestimating ETH because it just go down and currently at the bearish trend but cardano is no different, eth going to $150 still up for thousand percent while cardano is sinking from $0.8 to $0.2. Investment wise, both equally volatile.
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: September 10, 2018, 04:51:41 PM
They seem biased to me. A friend of mine who's doing an ICO told me that they paid 10ETH for 5 quality ratings and that's that! I noticed that some ICOs with good project, team, and good social media presence are struggling with getting good reviews.

With all that said, should it still be a factor to look at when investing in ICO?
I am very sorry to say this, some ICO rating sites are also a scam. Some of them even aid scam projects to have a very high rating thereby misleading investors and the general public. I don't trust ALL.
Despite the difficulty of knowing which one of the ICO project is scam however if the ico rating site is involved in the advertising process aswell or online marketing that should be considered as helping that scam project.
I quite know that most of that site only care about the money they got and never bother to make a real review based on technical aspect, it's hard to believe such site.
