1981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Taint Question on: February 01, 2021, 06:52:52 PM
So new user but long time reader and I want someone to explain how these analytics firms are alleging that coins may be tainted solely based on being connected to a dark net marketplace? The fact is in the early days of dark net marketplaces when few bitcoin exchanges existed (aside from MtGox) people routinely bought bitcoins on dark nets using money pack cards.  The purchaser of the bitcoins committed no crimes as he is not considered an unlicensed money transmitter, while the seller is consider one.

People also used dark net marketplaces as mixers themselves transferring coins onto them and then off again.

Under these two scenarios the coins are not involved in criminal activity, however, it seems these analysis firms claim they are criminal solely because they have some connection to an output from a marketplace.  Am I correct that this is what they solely base the taint on when it comes to coins surrounding dark net marketplaces?

Hello

Yes , what you are saying is quite right and at the same time let us remember the fact that , the government published an article where they did note that only "10%" such coins are present in the bitcoin community.

So out of those 10% they didn't ever stop to consider if they are right now still in the black market or if they are with normal people like us who have no idea where they came from. We do not have the resources to track each and every single coin out there.

At the same time the "Virgin Coins" do have different importance just because of this factor. They are sold directly from the miners to the people who want full discretion. ( Makes me wanna believe that Mr. Satoshi have mining machines at his home for sure ) Now these coins are used but cannot be tracked by anyone. But when we are talking about a coin coming out of the black market this is something inevitable.

God Forbid if they started tracking the Fiat , every single one out there will have a very long history.
1982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice games on: February 01, 2021, 05:51:30 PM
I have tried numerous strategies on dice. In the end, my wallet is drained. Was it worth it? Yes! Dice is made for fun and part of that fun is experimenting and using different strategies, not just the ones which are very popular and mainstream. Creating and then executing a strategy is fun. One is going to make your funds last longer than the other, although in the end your funds will really be fully consumed. But it's all about the fun. Don't think of creating money by playing dice.

Don't try to think that you could beat the design. That's basically countering logic. Well, it's possible for five loaves and two fish to sufficiently feed 5,000 people but that's called miracle. Wink

Sell I do think that with dice Rollin the fun is short lived Cry if you have luck as me . Plus I do think that the two strategies I listed up might work. I am pretty sure about the first one. This is basic log and as simple as that I do believe it can be beneficial for us to try something like this.

I do think Martingale is effective but it needs luck ofc.

The only strategy that I did before is martingale but it's been a long time and found it not effective on me. Truly, dice games are luck-based games and I can't find a way that you can beat it unless you have moments of winnings.

For me, its hard to find a winning strategy on Dice game because the nature of its system, even if we try many strategies, it is still not proven and its hard to tell if you are really winning or just losing big money in long term.

Well, you can find winning strategies in moments but it won't last long. You just can't beat them even if you discoveries a lot of strategies.

I do think we just need to find the right one , that's why I made this post honestly. Other than that maybe you can double book on the site , maybe go with your family ? Friends ? Then it would be like in the worst case scenario you won't lose.

At the same time I have tried dice duel game on Duelbits and it's good because there you can literally bet on as low as 0.9$ and that's good , if you are out of funds. But for me it was 1:1 situation so I lost nothing and didn't win anything too.

They also have codes which gives you free duels and therefore if you want to try you can. Their instagram have a lot of them !

-.-

Lot of responses honestly I would like to reply to all but seems impossible ×_×

Thank you for engaging in the conversation tho.
1983  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think need bitcoin blockchain improvement? on: February 01, 2021, 04:43:32 PM
Now I can see in many sites and wallets that the transaction cost of Bitcoin is much higher. Is this problem because Bitcoin has not improved its blockchain? What do you think about this?
I think it's best that blockchain stays simple at the end of the day it's really hard to use the network instantly , the lightning network and the segwit needs a lot of improvement. We do have seen that over the years the memepool is getting constricted and it's taking a lot of time to actually initiate the transactions which are of low priority.
You have to understand the fact that not everyone would be willing to pay the high fee and thus this problem of fee needs to be taken into account for sure. Plus we have seen how the gambling sites are now using even one confirmation to put the funds into the wallet and I do think its indeed an amazing feat! This can be used for sure but there is another invention that am worried about. The one that might send money back to your wallet once the transaction has been made or has an error , the person on the other hand needs to write the password given by the sender and this might be used inappropriately but still we have to see much more soft forks in the future but I do think fee and security is the one that needs attention the most right now.
I am a bit worried about the quantum computers!
1984  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocoins burning market on: February 01, 2021, 04:15:30 PM
Elon musk just change his twitter status & it Bitcoin raises unto almost $7000

Not just Bitcoin in recent days, Today is ripple is on fire, week ago Dodge coin & many like this.

Start investing in crypto currency, No government can stop this. This market is on Fire....🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Even beside the Crypto market the common people have now started investing in the stock markets and they have literally managed to move the market in their favour by using old good manipulation. The fact is manipulating the market is something that we see every now and then being done by rich people , we all remember how Elon musk added # bitcoins this was indeed low and I didn't like his comment after it. The thing is it's good that the price rose. It's good! But I hate the power the manipulators have over the market.
Plus when the common people tried to do the same time they called the police and the government is taking it under investigation.
The thing is invest but Invest Wisely, have Patience.
If you do see that you are loosing money , have patience , you never loose till you encash!!!
Plus ripple was something which was long forgotten and suddenly sprang up again !
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice games on: February 01, 2021, 03:43:20 PM
Seems people still don't understand that there is math behind casino games.

To make things easy, just imagine: 2+2=4 It's 100% clear that the result is 4. Is there any strategy where you can make it to result as 5? No, always 2+2=4. Take two yoghurts and then two again, anyway it will be four and there no way you can make 5th one in your hands.

The samy applies to Dice games, 1% house edge is 1% house edge and it means that mathematically, on long term casino is the winner. You only depend on pure luck and you can't beat luck by using mathematical strategies, only luck vs luck.

Yes ofc but I was curious since some of the articles stated how to win and made big promises. I am well aware of the probability and I do think that unless a person is cheating it would be impossible to win big. I heard a story about a person who did sell all his property , his fortune , went to a casino and put it all on number 8 , then he walked out with double .

Even some posts here on the forum were how a person lost 20 times !!! In a dice game and I was shocked to see . Therefore I believe if you are loosing more than 5 times you should stop.

When I play dice, I mostly play without any strategy and count only on luck. I used to practice dice strategy a lot, but after one big loss I do not allow myself to deposit more than $100. And with such a small deposit it is simply impossible to play by Martengeyl.

I do think if you are loosing continuously you should at least stop playing of maybe ask someone else in your family to play in your stead. I honestly do believe in luck and also the worst of it, some people are extremely lucky and there are many examples for that.
1986  Economy / Economics / Re: New oil shares skyrocket prices big time. on: January 31, 2021, 06:52:46 PM
All you do us sell a share of oil at now's cost, then the countries save up billions of dollars not pumping out oil.

CIA may stop outlook but they can't stop demand.

So demand and oil dries up sending prices throw the roof.

Oil barrels cost $45 now $250 dollars in 3 weeks time..... Then $550+.

I do not understand what you are trying to day exactly here but the oil barrels won't cost as much as 550$ since most of the time there are countries where oil gets imported from the high oil producing countries so the price has to be maintained at a stable value which does mean that the government would try their best to balance out the price of if such kind of market manipulation comes into play.

Right now after 2020 we did see a lot of correction in the market and right now the 45$ is a good price to buy , it will go high for sure but 550$ per barrel ? It depends on the country and also the situation too.

But more or so this much fluidity won't be there since government won't let such things happen. You should even be happy if you get 200% back. Plus demand can be stopped since there are companies looking for much greener alternatives.

The hydro power is now going to be used in cars too and that's amazing I think. The oil is going to become obsolete in the future.
1987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Dice games on: January 31, 2021, 06:25:47 PM
Hi

I have tried playing dice games every once in a while and I have not yet figured out a way to make sure my probability of winning would be more. There have been posts from previous users about how cleaning the cache or even resetting the seeds make a good impact on the odds. But I was wondering if there is anything else you could use except luck ?

Is there any specific strategy that someo uses making you more likely to win ?

It's a simple game and I tried to figure out a way by placing extremely small small bets with bot but in real I don't know do you guys have any idea ? What would work? If the dice game is not entirely luck based ? Because there are people who make such assumptions therefore am curious.

Would be glad to hear your strategies.

Some of the things I found on the internet were:

Quote
D’Alembert Strategy
This strategy is a more cautious one as it includes raising the bet each time the player loses and likewise, lowering it every time the player wins a Bitcoin dice roll. However, the chances of recouping the losses with one winning hand would depend on the number of rolls the player had before he won. This strategy also has its fair share of plus and minuses. On the plus side, it is less risky than the Martingale strategy and follows a more structured system of betting that can be implemented in the game. On the negative side, it has a low probability for the players to win back all their losses in just a single round and therefore recouping all the losses at once becomes impossible for the players most of the time.

Secondly:
Quote
The Paroli Strategy
In this strategy, the player begins the game by betting an amount of his own choice. If that bet wins, he can double his bet in the next rolls until he incurs a loss. But, in case he continues to be in a winning streak and has already won big, he will have to temper his bet in that case. This strategy is safer than the above two strategies because this strategy focuses on the lucky wins. The negative sides of this strategy lie on the fact that to see the substantial returns, the players need to be on the winning streaks and winning streaks hardly last long.

Anyone tried anything like that ?
1988  Economy / Gambling / Re: Shibes.Poker - Longest-running & Friendliest Crypto Poker Site now accepts BTC on: January 31, 2021, 05:50:03 PM
There is actually a lot of completion in the market but I do think it's good that you guys are accepting dogecoin since most of the sites are actually using BTC of ETH , but I do think it would be good if you guys would update the site again and also make a new post in the same section since the last one was of 2017 and make it more **shiny** if I would may.
Many of the sites did shut down but you can for sure attract a lot of public attention if the advertising is done correctly.
I love playing poker since I learned playing poker. I am agreeing with other people here that I will play using dogecoin like I gamble using dogecoin on a dice site before. I have also tried playing poker on acewins.io using their own token but I don't know if they are still active. I wonder if this site is also one of a kind. Anyway, I can't access the site using mobile phone but i'll try it on desktop.

Site is down for a long time already.

It was great but too bad theybdidnt had that much players.

Yes but at the same time people who did store coins on sites like that should have realized that you do not store your coins on a gambling site and therefore you cannot hold them accountable if the site goes down and you had coins there.

Always store your coins in a wallet , it's not hard to just download one and send.

..
Other than that if you guys are going to open the site again it would be good since as I see you have a lot of previous people who trust your site already.
1989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin prepaid/debit cards on: January 31, 2021, 05:13:26 PM
I did a lot of research and I'm just not able to find a good prepaid or debit card that can be obtained anonymously and topped up using cryptocurrency.

https://ezzocard.com is the only one that is easy to obtain, but the downside is that you need to pay $71 for a $50 prepaid cards.

Everyone else that provides debit cards are asking for a verification.
It doesn't have to be plastic card, virtual will be just fine.

So, hopefully I missed some of those providers, and someone can point me in the right direction.

Hi

These kind of cards are something that are not available at a beneficial rate everywhere around the world. Therefore I do think you will have a hard time finding a good one at the same time you have to make sure not to just believe in any company since it's a hard thing to find a reliable source.
Quote
This is exactly what I needed. Thanks!!!

I am glad that you found your answer, make sure to lock your topic if you are satisfied with it. Rest there are many other local sites offering a lot of crypto involvement but then again I never tried it , since it costs less than 8€ to encash and use the bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies. Maybe if the future when it will have some better benefits then only would I try and use it.

But be careful while using such methods to hide your topped up transactions since in reality there in nothing hidden here. It can be tracked way easier than you can think.
1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Non-custodial Bitcoin wallet supporting debit card on: January 31, 2021, 04:47:11 PM
Hi guys,

I have a friend residing in Austria, he is having an interest in purchasing some good amount of Bitcoin with his debit card, but he never wanted to undergo any KYC process.

Is there any non-custodial Bitcoin wallets (not exchange) that supports buying Bitcoin with debit cards?

Please I need your suggestions,

Hello

I would suggest your friend to use a wallet that does ask for KYC , see there are wallets , there are even p2p transactions that can be done but at the end of the day I think you have to understand that there is more security in the wallets who do demand KYC.

Wallets which doesn't ask for your KYC they don't really have much deeper security basis since in Austria it's not banned to actually use bitcoins and therefore if he is doing everything legally then it should be actually ok.

But when you are doing p2p trading you have to very careful you can even find people all around the forum willing to trade , at the same time you can even do trading for cash. There are a lot of options.

Best of luck
Be careful
1991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST GAMBLING MOVIES OF ALL TIME on: January 31, 2021, 03:27:19 PM
I don't know about a movie particularly about gambling but there was a movie that I enjoyed a lot with my family and if I know the name was : Fukrey , it's a Hindi Movie in which the guy have some dreams and his friend manipulates them and they always win , it was literally so funny, if anyone is interested in gambling movies they should for sure give it a go , it's amazing. Plus I was thinking about watching the Queen's Gambit , it's a series not a movie but I really liked the trailer and some of the scenes.

At the same time my favourite gambling scene was in Hangover when the guy decided to use mathematics to win the casino over and he succeeded. For me it was indeed amazing.

Honestly this is from where I knew there is something like card counting lol.

1992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto is Revealed Today, How Much it will Cost to Read ? on: January 31, 2021, 02:49:31 PM
Suppose an investigative Journalist unmask the elusive Bitcoin inventor today - How much he will he charge to read the Feature Breaking News of Satishi Nakamoto ?  I can spend US $3.60 dollars or up to US$5 Dollars. If 1million people read and pay then the investigative Journalist definitely will make a good profits. But it depends how much he already spent to find Satoshi Nakamoto ?  Who knows ? May be it will be free to read. If Satoshi revealing news really comes up today, it will go viral but there arises a question ?  Why Satoshi Nakamoto just don't give 100 Bitcoin to that greedy journalist, who is so obsessed to reveal the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto ?  I think some prominent bitcoin  community leaders do not want Satoshi's identity to be revealed. If the real Satoshi finally decides to reveal his own identity then it is solely up to him. What is your opinion ?

You don't realize how the community works. The moment one person pays money to read this the same person takes a photo or takes a screenshot shot in matter of minutes and the publish it to the real world. Just gives it to the internet and thus the journalist gets paid not by people reading her news but rather she gets "media attention" , "goes for interview" , "makes a youtube video about how they did it", this is how they get paid, this is really how it goes.

This is the reason why we have laws in the community in the government , this is not as simple as it sounds and the same person who would unmask him , he won't release the information publicly , he would rather sell it to a news channel that's how he would go forward with it.

-plus if it was possible it would have been already done ✅
-people hired private investigators
-made false claims
-tried to be Satoshi lol
Nothing worked !

1993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why its impossible to cancel unconfitmed transaction? on: January 31, 2021, 11:40:23 AM
Simple situation. I make a transaction and set to low fee by mistake. Now i need to wait days for processing. Why i cant just cancel it and resubmit with higher fee? Ok, maybe this could create problems for services that dont check conformations on deposits. Another option. Why i cant set higher fee for transaction that already in mempool? As i know there are special wallets that allow to do so. Why this feature avaliable in only several not popular wallets?
As for me, option to make fee higher for mempool transactions is profitable for everyone. Miners will earn more. Recipient will recieve money faster. Sender will be happy. Why not?

I understand what you are talking about personally this happened to me once then I just send them on normal fee. The thing is there are wallets who are going to allow you to change the fee of the transaction once you have actually sent it.
For example in samourai there is such option , you can change the fee to normal or urgent after you did send the transaction and that works wonderfully but not in every case. I don't know why but mine never works. Maybe something with the settings idk but yes it's possible.
There is a feature called RBF to bump fees, but this depends on what wallet you're using to make transactions. Most custodial wallets don't apply this feature so you won't be able to bump the fee. The best solution is to use a non-custodial wallet like Electrum (this is popular, unless you define "popular" by having lots of ads on exchanges).
With wallet supports Replace By Fee (RBF), you have to turn it on, mark your transaction as RBF at the time you broadcast it initially. If your transaction is RBF, you will be able to bump the fee later. If it is not RBF-transaction (RBF is off), you will not be able to bump the fee later. In the second type of transaction, the last thing to do is Child Pay for Parents.

[TUTORIAL]getting a low-fee transaction unstuck by creating a CPFP with electrum

Even after this sometimes it does not work. I did contact the customer care and they just told me that it was simply not possible and therefore I waited for either the transaction to get rejected or either for it to have like 40 confirmations but then again it's good if you have time and don't really care about the current price.
1994  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Instant BTC & ETH withdraws | Live games & Slots!| on: January 31, 2021, 06:21:13 AM

This is still about twitter right? Reporting these accounts are the current best solution to fight the impersonators. I think duelbits can just announce it to their website if their account is back, or if there's a brand new official one. So need buying the account.

Yeah, the ball's in their court. But the thing is, Twitter can take painfully long to actually act on impersonators.

It's not only that but there are impersonaters who are not only replicating the site but at the same time they are paying the advertisement section on google which means when you will search online you will reach their website and not the main website therefore not only twitter should be monitored but at the same time they have to look for sites being made into their names and there are scams happening even over telegram. I do not know of one social media which is not being used of the new emerging gambling sites.

Right now am really surprised that duelbits are managing to keep their instagram up and running. It's not something that I see a gambling site doing consistently. This is really good and they are also providing codes etc. Therefore if you do now know about that you can go and follow them on Instagram. Kudos to the team for that.

1995  Economy / Economics / Re: after gamestop's short squeeze, reddit turns to doge. 600%+ today on: January 30, 2021, 06:45:04 PM
It's not just that but there are many celebrities and famous people who are trying to deviate the crowd and get them invest their money 💰 into the cryptocurrencies or some stock. Right now Elon Musk is definitely having some fun since what he did with bitcoins , writing bitcoins in # and then just replying so coldly it's just regular for these people.
It's not only btc and dogecoin anymore , many celebs are targeting small currencies to use their full potential of it. Dogecoin might just be another thing that would soon be listed in top cryptocurrencies or it might just be like ripple , die as fast as it emerged.
But I would prefer buying bitcoins and not any other cryptocurrencies even though the price is rising so much , or even ETH it's performing very well and I do think we might soon see some good news.
1996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is INDIA going to BAN Bitcoin Again? on: January 30, 2021, 05:39:40 PM
This might be the third time that am hearing this news and might be the 10th time that the same topic have been posted here. India is itself not sure if what they want and what they don't. There have been many companies who are trying to fight the decision of government banning bitcoins they have time and again represented them publicly as well as in court , it's a really serious thing that's happening in India and also they want to literally ban Bitcoins and deviate the flow towards their own digital rupee which they want to get into the market soon. This is indeed something that needs to be considered.. if you are holding your coins then you have to make sure to hold them in wallets like Zebpay , even when the bitcoins got banned the wallet was up and running and did tell the users time and again about how they can encash or move. Or you can just keep the btc in wallet like samourai and then sell on localbtc . Just hold them in.
1997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What has been your longest streak of dice losses using martingale ..? on: January 30, 2021, 05:10:55 PM
I’m just trying to collect some data, also I guess this post will be useful for the rest of the forum users.

In my case, in 2018 I loss 32 times one after another using the dice system on freebitco.in.

Greetings

Hi
What I do know is this stuff is quite common but loosing 32 times ? This is actually very tough. I did have like 100$ and I kept on loosing for like 8+ times and used most of my balance and then I literally stopped after that. So I didn't really count how more it would go further but the only thing that made me go this far was the fact that I did win a couple of times in the beginning but after that it was all sad. I guess it just depends on the luck and nothing else. Therefore I do believe that you should pause for a while , clear your cookies, you can even try making sure you play after a while. Might just be a bad luck.
Whoa, this thread calls me really poor in different languages.

I've done 5 lose streaks, and Im done for it. I've never used the strat as I believed that 5 lose streak is enough for me to see that there is no way that this will give me winnings. And yeah, I have no regrets and been doing different bets ever since.
That's really good. You did realize after 5 streaks that the luck was not on your side and made a good decision therefore I believe it was a really wise decision.
1998  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat and cryptocurrency on: January 30, 2021, 04:06:01 PM
I do not think that the government **disliked them for nothing**
I do think that the government did realize that cryptocurrencies like bitcoins will give people freedom and with freedom people will have more power and equal distribution and all the governments in the world even despite being democratic doesn't want something like that to happen. This is actually something that they fear would not only increase
*Illegal activities*
But at the same time would also :
*Make fiat weaker*
Some go as far as saying how it's something that chinese made and now if it continues would give our information to China etc.. but other than that it's quite a normal topic that have been discussed since forever.

See as a local transaction I do not think it works , but at the end of the day if you are doing overseas transactions it would be quite a good deal. It does not only less fee but also more credible to be honest as compared to banks.
1999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been to a place where people gamble on Car Race on: January 30, 2021, 03:19:56 PM
Hi
This is really different as for me I have seen people placing bets on the car racing which are happening live. Even some of the local races which don't have much public attention.
Therefore I do think it might be good if you guys might try and place the bets on live events, that would be more exciting for you. But then again this is illegal at my place thus people do it quietly. At the same time there is something like the death circle at our place if you know of it , more like a local entertainment. There also people place a lot of bets. Lol but I never tried it.

This is something very scary and can cause serious injuries too. But then again it's always fun to watch 😅
