Also selling my silver. Anyone want to buy some? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5497058.new#new PHILIPMA1957!!! Why do you want to invest so heavily in fiat all of a sudden? Quick fact, one Tomahawk cruise missile contains 500 oz of silver and they can't use paper silver. Also, the US has committed to 100% clean energy by 2035 - solar panels can't use paper silver. Last week, miners were complaining that mining silver at current prices was not feasible. Something has to give. JP Morgan will be stopped - likely by China.

These companies scooping up BTC next week is going to make the price go WAY up no??
Good time to buy, even after the pump from the halving and stuff.
The only halvening pump we had was in bitcoin transaction fees as simps vied for "premium" sats associated with the halving. The post-halving BTC pump has yet to come - it's a good time to buy but then every day is a good time to buy BTC; staying in fiat is a guaranteed, long-term losing bet.

Hey buddy do you think I should cash out today and just walk away from this all?
Some days I just feel like cashing out and walking away from all this.
For some reason I feel this way today.
Don't do it philipma1957! That feeling only shows how close we are to reaching new levels. I almost did that the first time China banned bitcoin - luckily I was boarding a plane and only had access to what little I had on the exchange at the time. I sold it while sitting in the lounge and frantically tried to buy it back while sitting in the plane waiting for takeoff (and before I lost my connection for ~9 hours) when I realized my error. Through sheer luck I bought it all back, caught the bounce and made a few hundred bucks in extra sats but as I know now, it would have been financially devastating in the longer term to sell it all back then. Do you need all that fiat right now?

It's going to be Ramen au gratin tonight, boys!
drumsticks 🍗 and riced cauliflower with fresh apples 🍎 for desert. hold up 😧 it's getting to the moon 🌝 That looks like a sweet, juicy plum.

For the grower experts among us: I need a little help. Yellowing leaves? What am I doing wrong? Soil is 6.5 PH. Also the right one seems to be flowering already? Since they are both "mystery strains", I guess this one is autoflower? I've never grown pot but premature flowering in mums is a sign of watering stress (overwatering or poor drainage)... the yellowing leaves are also an indication of that.

I figured the plasma from the 2nd last CME would be reaching earth around 11pm so while it seems to have faded after this shot,...
Haha, my brain was trying to figure out what you were trying to say about the Chicago Mercantile exchange!~ Lol And it translated shot to short. Time to crash. Ha! I don't think I'll ever bring up the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in polite conversation I should probably crash as well; I've had too many late nights in a row and I need all the beauty rest I can get. Sure as heck when my head hits the pillow, the skies will clear and the aurora will spark back up with a vengeance. C'est la vie.

Well, it looks like the latest CME arrival was only a glancing blow. I would have been skunked here anyway - the clouds rolled in from the west and as I drove northward, it began to rain. The aurora is very faint now in Maine @ ~46°N latitude, it's also faint in North Dakota at ~49°N latitude so I doubt even with clear, dark skies anything would have been visible here. Every 1° of latitude represents about 69 miles (about 111 km). Ah well, the theoretical solar maximum is still a year away so maybe there'll be another opportunity to see some auroras this far south in the coming months. If those sun spots responsible for the recent CMEs persist, they should roll around the other side of the sun again in a couple of weeks.

clouds at 10pm 11 pm 12 am 2 am. gave up . I have to say clouds were thin i thought there could have been green backlight to them. It was cloudy in Maine as well but the clouds parted just in time to watch the aurora explode into colour. You can't get the full experience from a 2 hour time-lapse but the really bright, dancing aurora display only lasted about 15 minutes. Hopefully NEOC will post the full video on YouTube soon. It's easy to be patient sitting in my recliner in front of my TV flipping through live video feeds.. As I said, I did go for a drive in hopes of finding clear skies but there were none here either and I ended up going to bed... well my wife came into the office and gave me the stink-eye at around 2am which pretty much forced my hand. Nice images. Never saw it would like to get a glimpse of it tonight fingers crossed 🤞. Hey philipma1957, if you're still awake, I just saw the first flicker of life in the aurora over Maine - ~10:50 EST I figured the plasma from the 2nd last CME would be reaching earth around 11pm so while it seems to have faded after this shot, I think there should be a bit of a show tonight. If you have a north view in an area free of ambient light, now would be a good time to take a peek. I don't see anything where I am yet but the skies are clearer than last night so I'm going to drive north into a darker area and see what I can see. Fingers crossed. Good luck!

Ditto
Risky. I read something that said the price goes down more than it does up but when it goes up, it goes up by more than it goes down. It worked the same way with rockets until eventually they got some astronauts to the moon. Bitcoin is next.

~snip I looked at the sky around midnight, but unfortunately I didn't see anything, luckily the weather is good and there are almost no clouds, so maybe I'll have more luck tonight. In any case, very nice photos The aurora has an ebb and flow to it so you might just have to be more patient (if you have the time). The fact that there were no clouds and we're in a new moon phase should have made for awesome viewing though. I bet it was there; maybe just not when you looked? Hopefully tonight! Overcast last night driving home from casino didn't see jack, bummer.
You probably saw enough brightly-coloured, dancing lights at the casino anyway Maybe tonight! They're still active and the sun unleashed another X class flare as well from the same spot so it's not over yet. all gray sky in NJ
at 11 and 12 and 12:30 🕧
went to bed and maybe it shows tonight.
Yeah it was cloudy here as well. I tried for hours to catch a glimpse through the cracks - it was reminiscent of trying to see the recent the eclipse; in that case I succeeded but only for a very brief moment. The weather gods hate me. I know people in New York who were able to see it but they were near Rochester - apparently the best time in the north-east was between 10 and 11 if you had clear skies but I also saw reports of viewings just before sunrise this morning in New York. I guess you have to be patient, watchful and lucky enough to get clear skies. In saying that, the event of 2003 was so bright and long-lasting, all you had to do was look up and southward - that aurora lasted for hours and I spent the whole time on the roof at work (I was on nights). If anybody asks, I was inspecting vent pipes. edit: If anyone is awake in Dunedin, NZ right now, the aurora is quite visible there and it looks like mostly clear skies. http://dunedinaurora.nz/

Man. I can't even pretend I've seen the auroras yet tonight and it's after 11pm. Now the clouds have rolled in Ah well. It's getting dark in North Dakota now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzwQdysugIQ Looks very promising as you can already see multicoloured spires of light.
