Carbon footprint of a time-traveller must be huge.  He would have been cancelled or hanged well before 2030.

OT: https://news.yahoo.com/five-police-officers-were-fired-192741747.html?ref=upstract.com

I normally wouldn't post things like this here anymore, but I'm so fkn mad right now. The hypocrisy here is just... I have no words.  Angry

I seem to recall an entire nation laid completely hostage one long summer (during the height of Covid, no less) due to mass riots, burning buildings, etc. over a certain person who died like this. Rioters took control of the entire city of Portland, OR for months and months.

Well I guess they only mass riot, vandalize, and burn buildings when it is a bunch of white cops doing the killing instead of POC cops, huh? Funny how that works.

Nary a peep of this on the major MSM news channels. Unbelievable.

It was in the papers here this weekend because 5 cops had been fired but that was the first I had heard of it.

.... I cant do that irl as I don't know any bitcoiners.

Until this day, you haven't converted a single nocoiner ? Really ??

~snip

I can understand.  I talked to my friends, family and many colleagues about it - including several who came to me with questions.  I managed to get one good friend to purchase a tiny amount of bitcoin (the value of dinner and a movie for two at the time) but he sold it all the second time bitcoin went over $1k.  The only other person I know who bought some had nothing to do with my prodding; it was because his IPTV provider decided to accept only Bitcoin for payment.  There was one other guy who was always interested and would ask me about it every time I saw him but I don't think he bought.  It was always too expensive.  I just ran into him a week ago and we chatted for a bit - I told him the bottom was likely in and this was a good time to start if he hadn't already - he smiled and gave me the thumbs up so maybe he's already started and just being tight-lipped about it?  Okay, I'm just being hopeful... they're all still nocoiners Sad

Love when a plan comes together… 1month chart looking sweet! Walking up the bulltard staircase…looking for sideways consolidation and the next step at 25k$
Cheers hodlers  Cool

How come I remember you as such a FUD and disinformation spreading dweeb - pumping bullshit shitcoin talking points regarding the breathing cycle and all of that nonsense?  Now all of a sudden you are a bitcoin bull?  Go figure?

So yeah, it is difficult to know how many folks (even longer term bitcoiners) had been ready, willing and able to take advantage of BTC prices of the last several months - especially the last couple of months that we had largely been below $17k for most of that time?  Of course, if you might be a trader, then you may well have sold some coins and then bought back, so if you ended up timing it well (or mostly getting it right), then you may well be feeling especially smug at this time... but still we do not have any guarantees that the UPpity scenario that you describe is going to play out.. especially if we go by your post history in regards to wanting to pump your position (aka talk your book).

I am not even saying that I want you to be wrong in the way that you have outlined what seems to have decently good chances of happening.. yet for sure, I never really want to personally get too cocky in regards to any kind of belief that I know where the BTC price is going in the short term.

Hey Jay, truth be told I can neither confirm nor deny my online behavior in the past… everything is fuzzy…I quit drinking a fifth a day of vodka and recently had my 2 year anniversary of being sober!
Sadly I’ve lost millions in bitcoin on exchanges from MtGox on down to cryptsy…because I forgot where I had my Bitcoin till I found my ledger… ouch!
In short I don’t recommend anyone trading on anything I post… entertainment purposes only.
Cheers h2o mate

Kudos to you! Congratulations on being 2 years sober.

Verified using Bitcoin Core.

To be thorough: can you sign a message from one of the old addresses you've posted? And just in case, adding the date prevents future (ab)use of the same signature.

Wow.  That's a really cool website/tool you created!
I was changing my profile address because I don't want my publicly posted profile address to be associated with other addresses I have used in the past.  (I know... too late!) Anyway, I searched through the list of addresses I've posted and some of them I posted with their private keys so it took me a while to come up with another posted addresses that was still secure and unused.  I'll use the first one in this post:

back over 21k and a reverse bart

Precisely. No bart battern back down to $16K or anything like that quite yet. Only time will tell...

This is either a great sign that we're still in accumulation mode and are about to see another leg up, or a bull trap with a Bart Simpson pattern in the making.

I like reverse bart moves.

I am hoping for reverse bart into a power flag

man exactly that:

a reverse bart into a power flag.  with the assist from homerx10

this looks very nice indeed.

go BTC go!!

took under 30 hours to do it.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

Ok now is starting to look like bull flag on short-term time-frame, after failing ascending triangle break-out. Still expecting a fake-out to higher levels above $21.5K but this ain't no shorting range.

if that's not a good price point to short what is?
this has been one hell of a pop, I fully expect a strong pull back, maybe even retesting 15.5k.

When it breaks down from the bull flag. Not within it, unless you're scalping resistance to support that is, as it's a bullish continuation pattern until proven otherwise.

If we go back down to $15.5K, you can expect much lower than that though.

either way if it breaks up sell because the move is way over extended, or if it breaks down short cuz its going down.
IMO most of this move is based on a short squeeze , and some mofo buying, but now the shorts are liquidated only mofo is left, and its going to be hard to mofo buy when it suddenly drops sub 20K. I guess it all depends on how much money is on the sidelines right now.

all we can do is  draw lines, watch price, and speculate

Dude, you forgot hodl.  We can also hodl or DCA and hodl or hodl and DCA and hodl some more.  So many options...

While doing a tiny bit of wallet maintenance today I discovered something strange

I did a little digging and some searching and I found that disgraced user naim027 had a short stint running a lending service; the repayment address was: 18HfvLNNsZdMZeXmyKg59AfG7n4d1ibKRU (as posted here)
which on 9/14/2022 @ 12:24:14 transferred a small amount of bitcoin to this address: bc1qw0qsvzuxgmyqvc6mcaqw77v3sd9jt0lppcxkn6
which on 9/23/2022 @ 24:14:25 transferred most of that amount to this adress: bc1qy4ta9wtwufm3d56tqrys3wh50q7fmd7p0g0z6n
which on 9/23/2022 @ 24:28:50 dispersed ~0.00005 BTC to each of the following users at their publicly posted addresses -

I'm not sure what naim027 is up to nor would I trust any answer from him but I did not request his dust.  This dust can be used to track future transactions and potentially deanonymize you.  It's probably a good idea to freeze the UTXO associated with this tx to make sure it never gets spent.  Hopefully the rest of you either caught it already or have not yet transacted using that UTXO.

Nice hat!  Madnessteat is getting really good at it.

All of the WO hat avatars began with this hat -

which I took from the Goorin bros website after searching for the hats in this El duderino_ post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg46912906#msg46912906

edit: I posted the wrong url for El duderino_'s post which I fixed.  The URL I used was to the very first WO hat posted -  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg46916490#msg46916490

New Hat: Krubster

Is it mandatory for Wall observer's to wear a cap and they are not allowed to participate in any signature campaign? I never saw any wall observer participating in signature campaign.

No it is not allowed with signature, This avatar they can only contain love from Wall Observer, because you have to follow the rules of that campaign to signatur another one.

Generally, your avatar hat will not be accepted for a sig campaign but this isn't written in stone - I have altered hats on request which were accepted for use in sig campaigns.

Also, madnessteat has made some pretty decent xhomerx10 knockoff avatar hats using our WO template hat. The original of the image in the center (spaceman) is his work but I altered slightly when I added the sig campaign logo (just to make it more visible as requested by the campaign manager).

edit: I forgot about the chipmixer hat avatar

who of you hat wearers would be interested in an individual ColdKey hat edition? Grin
some info & another releases from ColdKey could be found here:
[ANN] History Coldkey - A testimony to Bitcoin - Time for change has come !
[ANN / WTS] Bas Coldkey -- Reeeee: Collectible Cards of Bitcointalk Users.

i would first like to know/see only with it how big the resonance would be Wink

BTCump
for those who missed it on the last page Wink

I may be slightly biased but I think it's a wonderful idea Smiley

Seems there has been a bit of a travesty related to ColdKey cards.  Trust has been breached.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434506.0

 TL;DR

OP was notified their ColdKey cards had been swiped and then the "me too" posts followed.  Somehow the keys had been compromised and the bitcoin moved.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434506.msg61586158#msg61586158

TL;DR

Apparently owlcatz spoke, over the phone, to yogg who said that he found some old key files he hadn't burned and cashed them in to feed his gambling addiction - not only unfunding the cards but also destroying their value as collectibles in the process.   Apparently, not all of the cards are compromised but the trust is gone and many people have peeled their cards to get the funds before they were stolen.

Based on these revelations, I no longer believe the ColdKey hat edition is a wonderful idea.

US and Russian astronauts stuck waiting in space after spacecraft suffered damage
https://uk.yahoo.com/news/us-russian-astronauts-stuck-waiting-015404901.html

"stuck in space" sound a bit scary.  Shocked

 Space... $16k-$17k... meh

edit: I'm kidding of course.  Stuck in that $16k-$17k range was much worse.  At least those cosmonauts have a rescue mission coming.
edit2: Oops.  It's not even considered a rescue mission according to NASA.
