Well, except for that other weed I sow and reap every year of course. Oh yeah, it's Sunday... This here Great mullein Indian toilet paper Likes Excavated soil oops You'd best cultivate a bunch of that weed as well for the next pandemic. edit: oops forgot it was sunday
edit: You'd best cultivate Gardens of that weed as well For the next great scourge

Hey buddy, no more than three in a row, we agreed didn't we Phil, are you sleeping or what? He was going to Six Flags for a flavours of the world tour so he's probably in a food coma. I'll be on one shortly after a Canada day BBQ with the family. Too. Much. Food. What sort of food do you get at a Canada day BBQ? Lobster Thermidor a Crevette with a mornay sauce served in a Provencale manner with shallots and aubergines garnished with truffle pate, brandy and with a fried egg on top and spam? Edit: It was a typical Canadian BBQ. We started out with bowls of nachos (with salsa) and potato chips along with a veggie platter consisting of cauliflower, cucumber, carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes and peppers (with ranch dip) while we waited for everyone to show up and settle in. Then we (okay, I) grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, cedar-planked maple-glazed salmon and beyond meat burgers (they smell like cat food) on the grill. I had planned on picking up some portobello mushrooms to grill as well but I forgot that the July 1st stat holiday actually falls on July 1st no matter the day so pretty much everything was closed - on a Saturday no less! I didn't plan that very well. Anyway, we served the grilled foods with potato salad, maple slaw, 7 grain salad and a family favourite - mandarin orange almond salad. For dessert, we had strawberry-rhubarb pie, strawberry shortcake, butter tarts, vegan chocolate cake, a huge bowl of fresh strawberries and vanilla ice cream on the side. Everybody brings something so there's always too much food - we went a little overboard on the desserts but even so, I was slightly disappointed that there were no Nanaimo bars this year. When the kids were younger, Nanaimo bars were inevitable; some of those kids are legally drinking beer now - how time flies.

I'll be on one shortly after a Canada day BBQ with the family. Too. Much. Food. Too much smoke in the air. Asthma acted up. I ended up doing some software builds of btc nodes and distribution of coins for the mining partners which takes forever due to shitcoinery That's too bad you didn't get to enjoy the day the way you had planned. I should apologize as most of that smoke was likely due to the fact that my sister appointed me as grill master for the Dominion (oops, my age is showing) Canada Day party today.

I hope it has balls...
Well, in this day and age, it doesn't make much difference now does it? Those songs of yours are writing themselves these days!

Watching the 'peaceful' protests unfold in my neighbouring country France I wonder if Prigozhin should ask the french next time on how to properly overthrow a government. /s Though in all seriousness, it looks like something very bad is brewing there, not looking good at all r/n. -> https://twitter.com/search?q=%2523FranceRiots Dammit! It seems like something bad is brewing at Twitter as well. I'm being coerced to sign up in order to view the content but I've only ever wanted to be a passive listener; guess I'm done with Twitter now too (for the second time). Oh well, it happened before; I guess I should have expected it. ... You can use nitter to view twitter posts without logging in. This wired page explains how to use it. https://www.wired.com/story/nitter-twitter-remove-ads-for-you-promoted-tweets/You can easily change any Twitter URL to a Nitter URL by simply replacing "twitter.com" with “nitter.net”—for example: Instead of twitter.com/WIRED, you would type nitter.net/wired. Instead of https://twitter.com/bitcointalkuse https://nitter.net/bitcointalk I had used nitter previously and was reminded of it early this morning but I had no luck with it... then I found this: R.I.P. Nitter 😭 #919 and this comment from sunlightspectre is my fave: " There are plenty of people who only engage in the modern internet through front-ends; myself being one of them. I have no interest in registering for sites; it took me ages to register a proper git.
One wonders what will happen when these self-inflicted stab-wounds deplete 'profit' rather then generate it?.. Removing access isn't going to make people want to use a site more. And it certainly won't inflate user numbers, which I'd imagine is the end goal.
C'est la vie.
I'm glad I got to experience the internet as it was."

I wonder if this isn't instigated by the west for France's position on keeping an open diplomatic channel with Russia after the Russian army entered Ukraine or maybe for openly calling out NATO as brain-dead.

It took you nearly 5 years? Wow. I thought my recall was slow when it took a day or two to recall an old acquaintance's name. You must have uncovered one helluva trigger! He was probably in a coma, you know, one of those comas where you forget your past habits and wake up speaking a different language. Happens all the time. Different language? How did you come up with that bullshit? I write English since my first post here. Thanks for reminding me how hostile this place is though. No wonder why all the old users left. In fairness to us hostiles, dormant accounts which have awakened after an extended period of time are generally not controlled by the original owner. You'll have to forgive our skepticism if you expect us to forgive you abandoning us. You could have created a new account to let us know you were okay rather than leave us hanging for 5 years. Also, we might have helped you recover the account so you didn't have to wait for the right combination of synapses to fire. Seriously, how did you remember? Was it ginko biloba? Maybe high doses of B 12? Double espressos?

good old germany Australia is not 32% for long term capital gains. You actually get a 50% discount on capital gains tax for assets held longer than 12months. Based on your marginal tax rate. Depending on which marginal tax brackets you are in, your paying 16.25% / 18.5% or 22.5% Likewise, Canada is not 33% - that's the Federal tax rate for over $221k of income but there is also a provincial component to get the total tax rate which varies by province. The most expensive province would be Nova Scotia and the total tax rate would be 54% on income if you make over $221k however, the capital gains inclusion rate is 1/2 so only half of your gain is taxed as income which means the highest possible marginal rate on capital gains in Canada would be 27%... which still sucks ass. Now if you had no other income and made a capital gain of $23,000 in Nova Scotia, you would pay only $2 tax since you're barely over the basic personal exemption for the year - that's pretty much tax-free
