For Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag must go first. Other players fall into line or are sold in some way. This changes over time depending on the effect on the players. Manchester United must reform radically if they want to be successful. In order to win the championship, he should sign a more assertive name as a coach and also choose the players better. Maybe it would be better for them to change the observers as well.

As far as I know the new owners haven't yet given a clear statement what their vision of the club looks like and whether it is with ten Hag or without. I don't have a real clue how the new owner could look at ten Hag, but if he knows enough about football, then he should be able to realize that the team has been stagnating for a while despite their finish as 4th in last season. Finishing 3rd is all great, but a thorough analysis to check how that came about.

One of the major reasons for ten Hag's success in the season 2022/2023 was the failure of other clubs. Liverpool finished 5th, Tottenham finished 8th. It is still strong to gather 75 points and it was their strong effort at the end of that season to win four games in a row and secure that 3rd rank. But it has never been quiet when it came to feuds with players. No need to mention names here, but apart from that ten Hag got all the money he wanted to buy players. He had the chance to build the team he wants. He just is not able to put the puzzle together in the end and he destroys good mood with his bad mood. He does that whenever he can, as if it is something that's important to him.

If I were to decide, I would try to convince some of the great coaches out there and then sack him as soon as I signed another one. That's how the business works and for Manchester United it is the best solution in my opinion. Fresh start with new owners, a new coach, a lot of money and where necessary new players.

Quote
As first reported by German news outlet Bild, Bayern were proposing an €18 million (£15.5m) compensation package for the 49-year-old but Palace have no interest in letting him leave, valuing him at closer to €100m (£86m).

Source: The New York Times

Well, that's one way to make sure that he does not go anywhere else. They are definitely not going to pay that much money for him. If they actually pay that much money, it is going to be stupid. I think Crystal Palace have asked for that much money because they know that nobody is actually going to pay that amount. Except for Manchester United, I guess. Because they can do anything at any given moment. They literally asked for more than 5 and a half times the money that they were offered. I think for that amount of money Bayern Munich can also find better alternatives as well. So there is no reason for Bayern Munich to actually move ahead with this deal. And I believe they did the right thing by ending all negotiations.

This was a rumor that I first couldn't believe, but now it turns out that it all was true I suppose.

They have been struggling in the recent weeks and months to find a great name as a coach for their team, but so many turned down the offer. Interesting to find out what their next step will be, but I am getting more and more convinced that they will revoke the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel.

That's a double-edged sword as on the one hand Tuche could see how they tried to find a different coach but they couldn't as Nagelsmann turned down the offer and Rangnick and now Glasner? At first I didn't even know who this guy is and then remembers him vaguely. Is that what Bayern realy wants? So Tuchel knows he is something like the last resort, which is never good because I think it hurts his auhtority from the get go. And when it doesn't work out well in the beginning, I can't imagine how the press will make a volcano out of every single bit that's going on. They will never be able to do their work without having explosives all around them.

Leverkusen have 1 more game to get the perfect record of the Bundesliga champion without losing. That gives them another chance to get 3 champions this season. DFB Pokal and Europa League. A perfect achievement for Xabi Alonso. Today they got a 5-goal win against Bochum. They dominated the game so much, even Bochum didn't have a shot on goal. Interestingly I want to wait for Xabi's action next season, because many teams cannot secure the championship in the next season. Because there will probably be a lot of players who leave because of the outstanding performances.

I don’t think so, Xabi Alonso staying back for another season can easily convince his best players to stay but sometimes you can’t be so sure if they’ll want to wait for another season when they see an opportunity to join a big club when an offer comes. When small teams like this begin to dominate, most of their best players are sold out to bigger teams and they become amateur teams like they used to be before now. I hope small teams can learn to keep their players and increase their pays to make them stay back. You won’t blame the teams in some instances, they sell them off because they can sustain all of them as they’ll ask for higher pays after their outstanding performances and a lot of better offers coming from big teams and ready to pay of their release clause. I hope things will change in football in that regards soon to have a more competitive and even game throughout the season and not just one team side benefiting year after year.

There is some hope though in this case when it is about great players leaving the club for money as Bayer Leverkusen is backed by the pharmaceutical company Bayer, is that correct? I think they are. This wouldn't make it as easy for other big clubs to convince players with money only as Leverkusen might be able to at least counter any offers in regards to salaries and bonus options.

It would be good to know how many players have long term contracts and whether there are players who are soon about to leave. But I doubt there are many as they have just got started and probably all have contracts that might go until 2026/2027 or so. Which means that even if a big name reaches out to players and makes a great offer, Leverkusen might get some backing from their sponsors to say no for as long as they can.

Seeing this project thrive not only for one or two years, but maybe four or five years would be badass.

It is three points for Arsenal again as they were able to defend the only goal which they managed to s ore on the 20th minutes of the match. Trossad goal made the difference in today's match. Manchester united took total control of the match both in the first half and the second half, but they were unable to score any goal.

United keeps dropping points which shows that they might end up in a bad position at the end of the season, and that is not something to write home about. Arsenal is currently topping the table, until Manchester city play and win their own match before the will step down.

Are you sure United controlled the game? In my opinion, Arsenal, in a pragmatic style, scored an early goal and brought the matter to the desired result without much risk. The score on shots on target is 5-2 in favor of Arsenal.
Maybe now at a press conference Ten Hag will say that United played well and are developing in the right direction (once again, he repeats it like a mantra) but the score is on the scoreboard, and United are “fixed” in 8th place.

It clearly depends what indicator those conclusions are based on. As you perfectly said, Manchester United had a little bit more ball possession, a few more shots, but obviously they managed to have 2 shots on target in 90+ minutes. If the shots on target count is that low, it is the best proof you can have that Arsenal was essentially in control. They scored their early goal and then understood what to do and yet created more dangerous chances. It is not a miracle that Manchester had more ball possession, but they lack the quality to break through Arsenal's defense. Job done, that was what Arsenal was after.

It was almost a year ago that Leverkusen last tasted defeat against Bochum and today they will face Bochum again in the away match in Week 33 of the Bundesliga. This will definitely be a memorable match where Leverkusen will always remember their last crushing defeat and they definitely don't want that to happen again against Bochum.

For us, it is clear that Leverkusen will fulfill their unbeaten record of 50 matches in all competitions and they must be able to beat Bochum today. I don't think there will be any problems for Leverkusen and they will only get closer to another title they will get. Maybe I will be a little curious, can we see Leverkusen win in injury time again like they have done in the last few matches.
Leverkusen will try to maintain their unbeaten record this season at Bochum headquarters. Victory over Bochum will bring Leverkusen almost close to a record of being unbeaten in the League for one season, they only need a victory over Augsburg in the last match to reach the record set by Arsenal in 2003/04. Bochum must be careful with Leverkusen strength this season, the strength of Xabi Alonso troops is much improved compared to when they were defeated last season.
Leverkusen certainly really wants to avenge their defeat last season, but they have to play at full strength because Bochum is very strong when playing at home, they only lost three of 16 matches when playing at home.

I didn't know about that, but this is an astounding fact you shared here. But it shows how much is possible within a relatively short period of time. Alonso turned over every stone and established new players perfectly while getting the best out of those that are still there.

But what would we all be thinking if history repeats itself and Bochum beats Leverkusen 3-0 in this game?  Shocked Not that I think it is possible, but it would be a funny turn of events.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 12, 2024, 02:13:56 PM
Bologna are showing impressive performances and nearly achieved a successful season but challenge for Bologna in the summer transfer season will be very big. Will they manage to keep their head coach Motta, and their main players in their clubs?

It will be biggest tasks for Bologna in the summer transfer season because human is most valuable resource and losing a head coach and some main players, will put Bologna in big troubles next season. They can quickly disappear from top four or top six of Serie A next season if they won't succeed in their human resource management and development in the summer.
That is surely the problem with this upcoming teams because now that Bologna have shown a different performance from their previous seasons, most teams will come for their players and they may consider selling them to make money for the club forgetting to know that if they sell those players the club's performance will reduce next season after they must have sold most of their key players but if you can't get a trophy for a club, you get money for them so if Bologna loses their coach and some of their major players it will still be an advantage to the club's management because they will make some cool cash selling their key players may be they will try and rebuild other players next season.
Bologna indeed surprised everyone yesterday when they went to Napoli and snatched the three points from them. Napoli had all the chances to cancel those two early goals including being awarded a penalty which Matteo Politano missed, unfortunately they could not and this might just cost them the European Conference League spot that they were contesting with Lazio who just need a win in their remaining three matches to secure it. Today Lazio plays Empoli who also desperately need to win the match to evade relegation. Empoli may be able to hold Lazio to a draw but Lazio will likely get a winning against Sassuolo to qualify while Napoli have nothing to show for the season.

Did they surprise you? I doubt that everyone was surprised. Bologna eliminated Inter Milan from the Coppa Italia. They also beat Atalanta despite playing away from home. Napoli couldn't win a single game in weeks. I don't really understand where the big surprise is here.

What is much more interesting is how Juventus Turin is drifting down the table. Atalanta is one game behind and Juventus is still playing against Bologna, in Bologna!! If they lose that and Atalanta wins their games, then Atalanta is going through I think. They could still mess this season up and that would be a surprise as nobody would have thought that's possible after they were going so well for so long.

Mbappe never had intention to stay in PSG even longer. he is now willing to waste his life just to play for PSG. There will be a lot of challenges to come for him once he leaves from PSG. Finally, he has decided to leave from the club. That's why i was believing mbappe would be announcing it after he failed on the UCL.

Mbappe's farewell message for PSG has been trending on twitter now. It's time for him to leave from the club as soon as possible. He will move to the chelsea. LMAO

PSG will missed him big time and we know how hard this have become Luis Enrique and Nasser Al-Khelaifi who are entirely dependent on Kylian Mbappe for a good results for the team. Kylian Mbappe have thought about his career and he's ready to make the bold step by exiting Parc des Princes stadium and we know where he's heade. Mbappe have always helped his team and work fine with his teammates on pitch, he knows exactly what to do and how to deliver his team when when they came calling for him. Perhaps he's going to a new elite team where he will learn new things and probably explore for greatness.

It seems he already has enough money that he gets from PSG, so he felt it was time for him to indulge in his football career and looking for a challenge rather than just playing in Ligue 1. It's impossible for a player like Mbappe not to have big ambitions including getting the Champions League Trophy and maybe he realizes that if he stays at PSG then that ambition will just be a dream. It looks like it won't be long until he announces that he will be wearing his Real Madrid uniform next season.

Must feel pretty nice to be as rich as him and then join Real Madrid. It's hard to say that his stay at PSG was not worth it as they made him filthy rich beyond imagination for any footballer from 10 years ago. On the other hand I think he could have been writing history on another level for a long time already if he played for Real Madrid. I wasn't liking his decision against Real Madrid very much, but to be honest if someone offers you sums like 100 million for a signature or something, who's the one who can say no? And he did not go to Saudi Arabia, he was still playing in Europe and in the Champions League. When this offer came around that a club from Saudi Arabia is willing to pay him $700 million, I thought it would be kind of wrong if he now decides to throw away his whole career for money. In this case he went for a 50/50 solution and everyone would have probably done the same.
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 11, 2024, 12:03:46 PM

The one thing that always gets me in the variance of opinion, is general the BFTD person goes back in time a picks out a historical period that suits/backsup their  assertation that BFTD is better. Then assert what they would have done to get all the different dips. But in a future price pattern is hard to guess, and really know are you getting it at the correct dip price. When we hit the ATL this cycle, I remember alot of people were waiting for <12k when we are about 15-16k mark, and probably missed the boat. The dca'r would have got some really close to it for a bit. When the market started rising I would be fairly certain the dip buyers probably got in at a higher price some where in the >20k. I think this scenario plays out quite a bit more than people are willing to admit during all cycles, and price volatility in bitcoin.

For the experiment the future market is a complete unknown, for both the dca'r and the dip buyer. It creates a level playing field and simulates reality, I think the experiment would help show some of WCS(woulda, coulda, shoulda) side of dip buying that you dont really have privy too.

That sums it up pretty well! The market is unknown and while there was a time when big players like Binance probably could manipulate the market if they wanted to (or did?), it's now a point where even the big players most likely have a harder time to really tell where it goes as the number of big players is growing. Unless they collude, it' more a question of tendency than price points. And as you said, nobody knew whether it would go down or up at at the 15-16k mark and yet you find all these gurus with their moving averages and what not to tell the world where BTC goes next. I have long, very long given up following anyone of these gurus. I can't even tell when I watched someone drawing lines the last time.

If anything, the only person or entity to know whether BTC goes tremendously down is the one sitting on at least 50k BTC and decides to dump. But that person won't let the world know, so no guru can know. You can twist any data points for so long such that any drawn line and any other indicator for that matter, makes sense somehow, at least somehow, and then propagate it as if it was genius analysis.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will the real bull run begin? on: May 11, 2024, 11:43:08 AM
Ticer - real bull run to me is when my altcoins are pumping massively every other day.

We experienced it a few months ago and it was nice but im waiting for that parabolic stage.

If u look at the Bitcoin chart from September 2020 to March 2021 - that is the run I am referring to when I say ‘real bull run’

I am not sure what to think of this statement to be honest. I hope you are not making the mistake and hold your majority of crypto in alt coins. At least you gave an explanation what you mean by a "bull run", but I am sure you understand that going from $10k BTC to $60k BTC is very different from going from $60k BTC to $360k BTC. It took about $1 trillion to pump the market during that time you mentioned. Now it will take about $6 trillion to see a similar pump in terms of percentage returns.

In my opinion it can already be called a bull run when at this stage we go like 2x or 2.5x. That is an insane amount of money that has to flow into the market. This happen in the last few months. A bull run does not necessarily mean a new ATH after a drop.

I am not saying it is impossible that we see the same and go to $360k in no time. But I expect a more incremental increase until we get there.

And again: I still hope you are not mostly into alt coins. I think it is casino, but that's of course up to you.

Makes indeed some sense, but only because of your differentiation. Having a single super star that demands the ball even without asking for it or not expecting it, but everyone feels the pressure to pass it to him, can make a team worse overall. I think 26 goals in Ligue isn't that impressive, both parties could be suffering from each other. PSG needs more team players, whereas Mbappe should go to a team where is not the only one of his calibre.

And honestly he can't grow as a player himself in a league that is not his level. But I don't really know what his ego is. I only remember that there were some rumors about him not getting along so well with Messi because Messi took a lot of the attention away from him. No clue if it is true. Maybe he would be a diva when he plays for Madrid, but Ronaldo was a diva as well and delivered damn hard! Cheesy
Considering the how good Kylian Mbappe have been and how he's helped Paris Saint Germaine in big games since he signed for the French champions, I think it'll be very difficult for the club to better without his presence at the club. Of a truth, Kylian Mbappe might not just be the best player in the world but he has been Paris Saint Germaine's player for most of the seasons he's played at the club so saying that Paris Saint Germaine might be better off without him is a way of undermining all his great contributions to the club of you ask me.
There's every possiblity that Paris Saint Germaine might go on to achieve whatever they failed to achieve when Kylian Mbappe was still at the club but I think it'll take Paris Saint Germaine few more seasons after the departure of Kylian Mbappe to be able to achieve all of that. Mbappe is not just the regular kind of player rather, the France national team captain have been very clubs reckoning force for a long time now so they'll surely miss his services when he finally leaves the club.

You didn't get the point. If you were playing on the same team as Mbappe and he is in a 5/10 position on the field during an attack and you got the ball and are in a 10/10 position to take that shot yourself, what do you think could happen? Let's further assume that you are a pretty good player, but you do not draw as much attention to yourself as Mbappe does. You might not enfold your full potential. And this is not something uncommon. You could apply that to other sports, to something outside of sports.

But now that the answer is out and Mbappe will leave the club for sure, maybe we can get an answer to this question / discussion next season.

Champions Inter put on an away show today. They scored 5 goals against relegation-threatened Frosinone. It was interesting that the goals came from five different players. Despite the fact that Inter secured the title weeks ago, the players are not in a holiday mood, they are still fighting hard. It's strange that Inter have only lost twice this season, both times to Sassuolo who are in the relegation zone. Lautaro Martinez had a great season at Inter. He had his top scoring season with 24 goals in the league.

That probably describes it best. Does anyone quickly know what the best season in Italy was like for a team ever? They are now at 92 points and there are two more games to go, which sounds to me it must be at pretty close to the best result if they win the last two games.

That's a fun fact which I didn't have in the back of my mind. Both losses against Sassuolo, must feel like a title to them even when they get relegated. Tongue Bad joke, but seriously, beating Inter twice is unreal.

I think PSG might actually be better off without Mbappe, hear me out……

He’s such a huge personality, everything centres around him, all play goes through him. I think other players are intimidated and pass him the ball quickly, even if they’re in a better position.

I think Mbappe is the best player in the world but PSG might become a better team without him. I think it’s stupid PSG will let him go on a free as his contract will expire this summer. They should have sold him last summer for big money. They could become a better team now though, a team is about more than one player.

As for Chelsea, yes they have had a poor season but with a lot of young players, they have been better in recent weeks. Cole Palmer looks world class, I think Poch will stay.

Makes indeed some sense, but only because of your differentiation. What do you guys think about the odds for the UCL winner:

Real Madrid: x1.30
Borussia Dortmund: x3.50

Looks like oddsmakers are not convinced by the German team eliminating Atletico and PSG and still consider them to be the underdog.
Personally I think it's anyone's game and I think Real will only be slightly better if both teams perform at their 100%.
BvB did quite well in the semi-final and the quarter-final while Real barely made it past Man City and Bayern. You could say that Real had tougher opponents (which is true) but, for what it's worth, Borussia did beat Bayern 2-0 in their last league game.
The mental advantage will definitely be on Dortmund's side.

And there is one more thing to take into account here: it is not a home game for Real Madrid. It's a game in a fantastic stadium and Dortmund will have an equal number of amazing fans. It is a very different situation and if Dortmund can avoid easy mistakes, giving away goals for free, then Real Madrid will have a hard time to beat Dortmund in regular time. But at the same time Real Madrid is hard to beat.

Whether the odds are well chosen, probably too much of a favorite role for Real Madrid? But I think the oddsmakers are themselves confused that Real Madrid just doesn't lose no matter what. Maybe for the Dortmund fans this could be a great opportunity to place some money, enjoy an amazing day and then get a nice return if they win it.

...

Bayern plays well in the CL and then weak in the Bundesliga and nobody can explain how that is possible. But I am sure Bayern will deliver again very soon. They can be active on the transfer market and spend a lot of money.
Dont know if Bayern Munich has again much money for the neyt season , depends on what players maybe will be leave the Club.
There are much rumors that some players will be leave.

Tomorrow i think that Stuttgart should be have no problem to win against Augsburg even Augsburg is very good at home.
My bet goes for a Stuttgart win.

I read that they are willing to spend over 100 million for a player and in this case the talk was about Wirtz. As a midfielder with 22 scorer points and 20 years old, it is risky I think. But competition will be there in the transfer market and Bayern might have no other chance but to pay that much. I was sceptic about the Bellingham transfer as it was more than 100 million I think, but looking back it did pay off for Real Madrid. On the one hand you want such a player when they are that good and that young, on the other hand there is some financial downside risk. But I am surprised that some Bayern official talks about it publicly because now he himself set a price tag.

Al Akhdoud vs Al Nassr
Al Akhdoud, who are struggling to stay in the league, have taken four points from the last two weeks, but they need to play football with minimum mistakes in the remaining four weeks. Hosts Al Akhdoud host a tough opponent in this match. They will face Al Nassr, who are mathematically still in contention for the title but will finish the season in second place barring a major miracle. The visitors Al Nassr have been winning for seven weeks and will continue this streak. I think they can win this game and finish the job in the first half. Al Akhdoud may not be able to put up much resistance against a tough opponent.
I think Ronaldo, who has been scoring so many goals lately, will always finish his job in giving Al-Nassr victory, especially since he still has a target to become the top scorer in the Saudi League this season and also become the first player in the world to score 1000 goals. We know he won't give up one bit and that hope is still there to fight for so Ronaldo will still be able to do that.

Al-Akhdooud doesn't seem to have any other way than to hold Al-Nassr to a draw and even if they can, that's better than losing. Of course, defense will be Al-Akhdooud's main focus in this match and they have to do it so that it frustrates Al-Nassr's attackers to score goals.

It still doesn't change the fact that all his goals still left his team miles behind Al-Hilal in the league. He will be a top scorer for as long as he plays, but he thought he would win the title on his own. I wonder if he is still having fun. He cares more about his goals than about his team winning, but it is a fact that he should probably still be a happy guy given that he is taking home half a billion for playing in a bad league while being the top scorer. Sometimes I think he left the top stages a bit too early. Too much trouble was going on in Manchester United, but he is definitely as fit as Ibrahimovic was and he came even back from the USA to play in the Serie A. Ronaldo is going to turn 40 years of age next February and he is mostly without injuries. Maybe he keeps playing for several years.

The disappointment for Bayern must have been out of this world and Tuchel is quite emotional after all the games, but this one was crazy. He was literally destroyed and I think he was right when he said that an apology is not enough from the referee. Sure, what else can the referee do, but it's still close to impossible to bite that bullet. There is so much on the line in these games, it was so emotional and the game went back and forth, which is what all the fans want to see. But I am always mad when these top games get decided by false referee decisions. It should not happen like that and both teams would have deserved to advance to the final. For Germany it would have been amazing to have the Dortmund - Bayern final. But Dortmund - Madrid is ok, too. It seems to be easy to tell who is going to win, but hmm Roll Eyes
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 09, 2024, 03:32:15 PM
I could never imagine to see Dortmund in the final match of the Champions League because this team couldn't even get good results in the Bundesliga so far and compared to their performance in the last season they nearly failed. Now they can have the chance to even win the Champions League while compared to the other teams in this tournament they don't have famous superstar players and they didn't invest money to buy expensive players for their team.
Now Dortmund should just focus on the Champions League because there they can get the trophy while there is nothing to get for them in the Bundesliga.
But this is so amazing about these competitions. You would never expect them to go that far and yet they did it. I thought that it would be game over for them against PSG, but they delivered a fight that made them earn it. However, the reality is that PSG hit the post like five or six times in the second match Cheesy

Yet, they got lucky that they qualified for the Champions League already since the Bundesliga now has 5 starting teams instead of 4. Good question whether the participation in the final in Wembley saves Terzic the job. If they didn't get into the final, I think it would have been the end for him.
This is fascinating in last season we are having all Italian clubs were dominating into UEFA with in this season they are having good performance like we are having three clubs at the top level in Conference League and Europa League, but we have three German Clubs are dominating into big events which is showing how quickly things are taking changes, and we are watching drastic changes into performance of the teams as well.

As of now, it's very interesting situation for the all events with we are already had Dortmund vs Real Madrid final, and today we will have two teams for the Europa League finals as Atlanta and Bayer Leverkusen are favourite for the spot but still things are unclear with any team can go through with their match day performance, and we can have another big upset, but this is positive change for the Bundesliga now we are having the good number of teams are competing at the top level.

I don't know, I am following the discussion like everyone else when it is said that the Premier League is better than Germany and then teams are counted and how far they made it in UEFA competitions and then everyone changes their mind and now believes the Bundesliga is back. When you consider how close these games were in the UEFA competitions, I can't actually have an opinion which league is the best. I think it is still the Premier League and Manchester City will always play a favorite role.

By far the most exciting team in Europe was Bayer Leverkusen so far. Too bad they are "only" playing in the Europa League. It would have been very interesting to see them play against Real Madrid in a final, but we probably have to wait until next year Wink

Bayern plays well in the CL and then weak in the Bundesliga and nobody can explain how that is possible. But I am sure Bayern will deliver again very soon. They can be active on the transfer market and spend a lot of money.

It would be very sad if in the end Mourinho's dismissal did not produce good results for AS Roma even though AS Roma fans hope to achieve good results with De Rossi but it is actually the same and worse than last season, indeed coaching a club in the middle of the season is a tough task even De Rossi himself was forced to adapt quickly, which was also not easy for other coaches.
I think As Roma has gotten better since Mourinho left, it's just not that easy to adapt to the new coach De Rossi but so far since being led by De Rossi I think it's been pretty good, it's just that it will take time next season to see As Roma perform even better. , I don't know if the failure at UEL will fire De Rossi or not but they still have a chance to play in UEL next season if they succeed in overthrowing Atalanta and succeed in defeating them this week, hoping that Atalanta will make a mistake.

As Roma looks better since being coached by De Rossi. I think if they have to change coaches again it won't help them perform better next season. I think As Roma should give that opportunity to De Rossi to be able to lead As Roma next season at least. new players to fill the main squad so that it can be better, As Roma still has hope of winning against Leverkusen and also Atalanta, but it all depends on De Rossi arranging a strategy for his team so that they can give a surprise in the UEL or in the remaining Italian league matches this season. I think De Rossi needs another season for As Roma to adapt.

The truth should be told. De Rossi has had a wonderful impact on AS Roma so far, and everyone can attest to that because it has been seen, and if they will be patient, they will definitely go a long way next season because even this season, if they are not strong early, they will have more than this, but De Rossi came almost at the last minute of the season, which I think is supposed to give them a chance to start a new season and see how it will end.

But one fact that needs to be believed is that no matter what, it will still be hard for AS Roma to be the champions of this season's Europa League because, to me, they can't make it  any more because even on aggregate, they are losing 2 goals, so what are you thinking? All I expect from them now is to go and get more ready for the next season. That is just the fact.

It is hard to tell how they will be doing next season. No doubt that De Rossi has delivered as a coach, but at the end of the day the player material is the limiting factor. Let's see if they can get a good job done in the transfer period, but if they want to compete with teams like AC Milan and Inter Milan, I think they will need more players of higher quality. The team is ok at the moment, but it's not the best team in Serie A and you can see how Leverkusen outplayed them.

I dosnt matter who they will be face in the Champions League final , Bayern Munich or Real Madrid are 2 teams thats hard to play against them.
The question i asking myself is why hasnt Dortmund played that good and confidently in the German League too.
They have proof since yesterday now that they can play good , so fingers crossed they make it and win the final.
So Dortmund will be for sure protect the main players of the last 2 games in the german league that nobody will be get injured.

The UCL final is on 1st June. The last Bundesliga game is on 18th May, so they'll have over 2 weeks to rest. No need to "protect" their key players, in fact, they should utilise their strongest squad in the games to come to make sure they don't get too rusty from having too long break.

As for BvB's yesterday's game, despite the great 2-0 on aggregate, it wasn't their best game at all. PSG had plenty of chances but were out of luck in hitting the target. They had much better games in Bundesliga, but to win the league they need to be consistent in performance and that's what was lacking.

I agree that Bayern and Real Madrid are on similar level when they play at 100% of their abilities, but I find Real to be more consistent, whereas Bayern had a few really poor matches recently, which would make them an easier opponent. Especially given Borussia beat them 2-0 in their last game.

Absolutely not offside the 2nd goal of Bayern although I am happy that Real won as I had bet on them to win and over 2.5 and both teams to score but I am sorry for Bayern as their second goal was void without being correct, the referees clearly favored Real in this game and what is done is done.I think this is going to be one of the most interesting final games ever in recent Champions League history,Real Madrid vs Dortmund and I think Dortmund is somewhat better in shape than Bayern was so most likely we will see a good one, much different from Manchester City vs Inter last season,I am sure of this and can't wait that 1 June, date of the final.

Isn't this game kind of a reminder what happened to Bayern when they lost the Champions League final against Manchester United? In this case there was of course an error involved from Manuel Neuer, but in a sense it is very similar to that game back then. Until the 87th minute nobody thought that Bayern could lose this, but what a crazy turn of events. Real Madrid is Real Madrid, you can't stop being concentrated against them until the last second of the game is played.
