Yes they are. They contacted us and asked some in depth questions that showed that they are really taking this seriously and doing their do diligence on a project before listing it. I'm happy that they found our answers satisfactory.

If you check the early pages of the Lisk thread you will see that it was less active before the ICO started than this thread is now, it only started to grow when they were well into it. The same can be said about their media exposure.

We worked hard in the last months to reach out and form initial connections, pave the way for future partnerships, we had talks with various investor groups and probably other efforts that I didn't keep track of as doing so is a job on itself.

We will release more information in the coming days and weeks about our afforts and successes in these endeavours, but I'm sure you know this this kind of details can't be shared until agreements been finalized.

While Rise wants a rewrite Shift and Asch managed to make the Lisk codebase work for forging or at least found some temporary solutions. fixcrypt, our main developer also has several ideas, some he came up with while he was working for Lisk, and I know he also had a talk with asch main dev, and probably others about various issues and possible solutions not just about the forking problem but others as well.

I'm not sure how much of these ideas will be implemented into the initial testnet code, as fix had been busy with various other stuff, but he has some well defined ideas and development plans. I think you all will hear about them later.
I think 51 delegates should also initially help with the forking issue until better ways are found, but please don't quote me on that one.

Yes, cannabanana is a member of ARK. He is an important member with many contributions but not the head of development or a decision maker. We doesn't work that way, instead we take great pains to hear out ever members point of view and arrive to the best possible decision on everything regarding ARK. This is not a one man show, we talk about everything. A lot. (I mean a lot, we had to pay for slack because the free 10k limit only gave us less than 5 days of history ).

I think you should simply ignore cannabanana if you don't like him. Anyone who frequented the Lisk thread or Lisk chat in the past knows that cannabanana will say whatever the hell he wants, he is...passionate.

Even our core group is 27 strong, you can probably double that to include everyone. In such a large group opinions on some things vary and there are always outliers. cannabanana is frustrated with Lisks progress and Max others less so or just don't want to spend time on posting about it, while others don't care either way and focusing on other things. It's a wide spectrum of personal opinions, but it has little effect on the ARK project and it's directions so we don't regulate it.

We accept Lisk because we think it's a good long term investment. We do it because it benefits us, benefits the Lisk community that we are still all very much part of. That makes is a bit of an emotional decision I guess but not that much. It wouldn't stand without us thinging it a good strategy.
Having Lisk won't give us power over Lisk development and we are not trying to gain any. We are focusing on figuring out what's best for ARK, and thats about it.

I can't really make an official statement about it as there isn't one yet, but I can tell you what won't happen as long as I have anything to say about it (and most or maybe all of the ARK team agrees from what I seen so far): The gathered Lisk won't be used to rock the boat (light pun intended).

ARK has zero intention to take over the Lisk delegate system. Meaning even if we vote you won't see a bunch of new delegates popping up, forge and take off with the forged Lisk. We, as any good Lisk supporter would want those delegates to forge who showed dedication, dependable, spent time and money on Lisk nodes and providing other contributions to Lisk and it's community and willing to support future development.

There is slim to none chance of enough Lisk being donated to reach the minimum threshold without more than enough BTC also being put in. While we agreed on holding Lisk long term we yet to make a decision about using the collected Lisk for voting.
The ARK team has a pretty unique internal dynamic. We are many and we always discuss options and won't make a decision until we reached a consensus on an issue. This is something that doesn't work with any group of people but worked for us really well in the last few months since we are working on ARK.

There are however many important and more pressing issues to decide on, Lisk voting is not a priority at the moment. Ask as in a month.

Anyone closely following Lisk or just read the community meetings know that there are two questions that Max never comments on. The price of lisk and other projects. I think this is a very good attitude.

I'll only say this. Lisk is still over ICO price. Lisk development has been progressing steadily. Lisk has still have almost 14k bitcoint to spend on development, PR, partnerships, etc.

Will this cause suddent price rise? No, but as we said ARK has patience. We will send out a dove every few months until we find land.

Claiming that the members of ARK team and crew are fake is ridiculous.

GDT, the Global Delegate Team is by far the largest organized group in the lisk community. Most of are members are well known in this thread and in the lisk chat. The idea of ARK was born in the GDT private slack that has almost a 100 members. THE ARK Founding Team and ARK Crew members didn't come from some unknown corner of the crypto space, we are known nicks, no way to fake it, it would be discovered in hours. Even more we decided to give our real names and faces to the project. 27 of us. Not many crpyto project can claim the same.

The question is about they whys of the Lisk bonus have been answered many times in many ways. There are many reasons, but simply put:

All of the Ark Crew is early and long time Lisk supporters. We were and still are running a good part of the testnet, have mainnet nodes, created tools for it, part of the community, etc.

We offer extra insentive to donate Lisk because we want lots of Lisk. It's really that simple.

We have use for Lisk. We feel Lisk in currently undervalued and we can afford to hold on to Lisk on the long term, years even.
By offering this bonus we create an opportunity for ourselves to get the Lisk we want and for those that want to get out of Lisk (for now) to do it at a premium. The Lisk that gets donated will be off the market and that should alleviate a chunk of the sell pressure, so it should help Lisk price to stabilize at a higher level than it was before the ARK announcement.
