201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: October 17, 2014, 02:23:02 PM
I imagine more people haven't noticed because the people paying attention had traded out POT at a loss when they were told it was all gone.

This describes a lot of people. When the ship began sinking, a lot of people (myself included) traded coins out at a loss just to get something. I lost like 14k/pot because of this, and because it's been traded out, I can't get anything back for it.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: October 15, 2014, 03:04:36 PM
So for all intents and purposes, anyone could register an account and then use someone else's email address and claim it's their own, and then take their balances?
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PotCoin | THE OFFICIAL COIN FOR THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY | Launched 01/21 @ 4:20 on: October 14, 2014, 07:36:12 PM
So what's your data/reasoning for the investment? And hopes keep things going? Why this vs another more established coin, or another coin which has also continually decreased in value?

The quote from investopedia below explain my reasoning of investing on POT, there was a blood on the street and I decided to invest. Today will put 30$ which makes 210$/week and increase it gradually. I am a bull investor, always have hopes and invest on coins with great community and will resume that way until POT reaches the place it has to be

Interesting. I can see that as very valuable in normal markets, for myself I wouldn't use it in the crypto world in general, though Potcoin at the outset has had greater foundation than others. You would've made a killing back when it was in the 3500satoshi @ 420pot/block range.

Best of luck.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypto Rush - Crypto to Crypto exchange on: October 14, 2014, 02:49:23 PM
it would be better if you have published lists approximate coins with which you are now at the moment has been online, and with whom you will work, and that all people are waiting and do not know what coins you now treat and when to wait for your coins ...

I suggested a public ledger many pages back, for this purpose.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 14, 2014, 02:36:21 PM
who cares where they are assembled. as long as i get it and dont pay import tax.

i ordered with a UK company so i do NOT pay import tax

I'm presuming you're in the UK. I don't know the laws very well, but it will be shipped from outside of the UK. I know for US customers they will face roughly a 10% import/customs fee. Not sure if the UK will bypass it since it's being overseen by a UK company. Good luck though, and let everyone know what happens.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 14, 2014, 02:22:23 PM
I'm really getting curious now when they will have their first test miner built.
And the real stats like hashing power and Watts will be a big question till then.
Not to mention the heat problem, I'm afraid these Vipers will catch fire within an hour or make more noise than a Boeing 747 taking off...

Not too worried about heat, based on other high-hashing designs I've seen in action. I'd be worried that it works, that they have the firmware proper, and there are no import/customs issues.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PotCoin | THE OFFICIAL COIN FOR THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY | Launched 01/21 @ 4:20 on: October 14, 2014, 01:18:56 PM
pot is listing in cex.io and I am buying it to reduce my risk and do not think of selling them. It is my 5-year investment (thinking of gradually increasing my investment on that coin) so trust me it is not a scam, and won't die if you do not lose your hopes (by the way I am not a miner, just a small investor getting 100$ pot in each week)

So what's your data/reasoning for the investment? And hopes keep things going? Why this vs another more established coin, or another coin which has also continually decreased in value?
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 14, 2014, 12:53:18 PM
Well they did say that they would be assembled and shipped from the chip manufacturer's location, which is India, not the UK. So they don't need the physical chips. Remember, these people outsourced everything.

As another poster mentioned, remember BlackArrow. I followed them from day one last year, and they still haven't shipped proper equipment. Hashfast is another one. I remember when they got their chips delivered to their doorstep, and days later found out it was essentially boxes of paperweights.

Best of luck for these folks. I agree with Cablez, they should deliver on just the deposits--but we know that won't happen.

Anyone try pressing down on the DC components to see if they come live? I remember some batches of gear last year had possibly cold solder joints which were irritated with shipping (ups air, they throw things), and folks found they'd come alive by using physical pressure.

Aren't they overdue for an update? They supposedly had a big milestone a day or 2 ago.

Also for folks who are successful with your PayPal refunds, please post your transaction/refund info (ID's/etc) for everyone else to cross-reference.

provide evidence or move your comments to an arian supremacy forum, and get out of bitcointalk.

you dont want to listen so i will teach you :

if you dont understand that you are a rasist or not a very smart person

i guess you never heard of racial profiling.

every mohamed who is making money and fucks up a timeline should be investgated by the  fbi? you guys are a perfect fit for the gestapo

You're a tool. Plain and simple. You, for some reason, are directing an attack at me--the guy who didn't support or call for investigation measures. I simply spoke up to provide some potential reason as to why someone may. You've been on this thread for awhile now whining about things, pounding your fist, and now you're directing your anger toward me for some reason. If there's one thing I can learn from you, it's how to be an asshat. I'll consider myself taught. Thank you sir. If I ever feel the need to act the fool, I will definitely take your lead.

If their names were John Smith you wouldn't even bring it up. You should read Little Brother and Homeland by Cory Doctorow. While they're fiction, things like that absolutely can and do happen in the world today. I'm sure there are innocents who have been locked up in GTMO for years without a trial. Once a government or prosecutor takes aim at you, they keep going regardless of the evidence. Do some reading on Aaron Swartz. The "if you haven't done anything wrong, you have nothing to fear" argument is so wrong on so many levels.

I'm familiar with those and the author, and I wholeheartedly agree with your last statement. There is a noticable difference between greedy business folk and someone who may actually have legit ties elsewhere, in few publicized cases have innocent parties been ruined by US Prosecution when abroad.

It's also worth noting folks called for the same "reporting" of Hashfast, so yeah normal white people do get reported as well. In fact, many folks on a daily basis are reported. It's not the best system in the world, but if you think about it, no government is there to serve the people--they exist to serve themselves. So you're screwed either way.

This is sortof one of the reasons why bitcoin came into being.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 08, 2014, 05:38:23 PM
Try changing the voltage/speed of the others? I have some KNC gear that would act like that and required I actually raise the speed of the bum ones above stock, and in some cases lowering voltage. I've also noticed sometimes neighboring DC's if running too high, would shut down the bum ones. Almost seemed as if they were pulling current away from them.

213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 08, 2014, 04:09:14 PM
I don't trust or use mainstream media, so way to go using a blanket generalization. Same with the Bush knock. I also said there may be no relation, but that it's likely one of many reasons why someone might report them. There's no requirement for evidence, just concern--that's straight from the Obama administration, as well as the current Scottland Yard officials. It was this same level of concern which supposedly led to the capture of 4 individuals in London yesterday.

It sounds to me like you fail english reading comprehension and critical discernment. Perhaps this is why you invested in them and others didn't? Do you even know what the term racist means? It doesn't apply to folks calling for an inquest. I've seen the same request made of the Hashfast people, who are neither of middle-eastern decent nor of the same continent.

I've never once supported reporting them to any agency, but I also don't see any evidence to call others racist for feeling concerned. I'm merely dissecting the possibility of why others do.

So why the hate? Chill out, and deal with your loss. Let others do as they please. Stay on topic, this thread is relating to providing help and information.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 08, 2014, 03:18:25 PM
if the only reason people are making these terrorist claims is the name of this guy, then that is extremely rasist and utterly disgusting.

That doesn't make it racist, that increases odds.

where is your evidence?

You don't need evidence, you only need the concern, which apparently some folks have

what was is based on?

The fact they took tens of millions from individuals around the same time some groups gained money, and then most of the folks in this group disappeared and have nary a trace online.

how did you formulate such claims?

I didn't personally call for such inquests, but I used my reasoning abilities to discern why others did.

are you brainwashed by the bush administration?

Why would people in the UK who are reporting them, have anything to do with Bush? And what does Bush have to do with ongoing issues worldwide?

Back on topic .. some people feel the need to report them, others don't. It's not racist, and there's also no product from AT.  These are facts. Rest assured.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: October 08, 2014, 12:52:52 PM
How are you connecting a scam to terrorist activity? Don't be racist you scum bag.

Speculation isn't racism. The US govt is actively investigating such links, so is Scottland Yard. It doesn't hurt to report, because if they're clean they're clean and nothing will happen. Alpha took a lot of money right around the same time certain groups gained a lot of money. It could be coincidence, but some folks feel like they need to report it.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 07, 2014, 03:55:06 PM
Apparently KNC are maintaining the Titan driver themselves and Luke Jr. doesn't provide support.
KNC still claim to be working on fixing all the firmware issues 'round the clock' and 'as fast as we can'

If they just gave Luke a miner, which would cost them next to nothing, they wouldn't have to worry about half this stuff. They gave him gear lastyear.

I'm waiting for:

Greetings miners, we are happy to announce our Vipers are prepping for shipment. Please remit full payment.

..followed 3 days later with:

Greetings miners, unfortunately the shipment was lost in transit. We will need 90 more days. But fear not, it will be wonderful. Rest assured.

Which is pretty much what they did to you guys in June/July.

Agree on nomp, it's far better.

I can only speak to what I've witnessed, not that it's an across-the-board problem or solution, but I've seen it work just by changing pools. Not only pools, but coins as well. We went through this somewhat with the ramp from GPU->ASIC in the SHA world.

If people would just stick with bitcoin..
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: October 06, 2014, 05:26:02 PM
I challenge KNCminer to setup a pool, a proper Titan capable pool, for mining alt coins or/and merge mine or/and multipool - profit switching pool.

The pools are not setup to handle Titan EXTREME hash power (OMG) so KNC setup that pool. You must know how to set it up since you KNOW the pool is the issue and not the Titan or Firmware.

Show me a pool that can mine "other scrypt coins" just like is advertised on the product I purchased from you and show me that I can mine at a minimum average speed of 300mhs on it.

For everyone complaining about the pool side speed being too slow....try solo mining to a local wallet.  Setup RPC files with your worker credentials and point the miner to the local ip/port.  You will likely see the full potential of the Titan, hopefully 300MH/s, when removing vardiff stratum latentcy.  Local mine first too see your capabilities, then move to a decent pool like wemineltc.com or litecoinpool.org that can handle the extreme vardiff requirements of the Titan.

When your miner operates faster than the pools' databases, you will see defeated pool rates.

I've said this numerous times. People seem to want to beat the KNC horse rather than try other options. I've seen GH farms work flawlessly on one pool, but crap out on other pools. it wasn't the farm, it was the pool.

Just amazing how far KNC has fallen.     Glad I got my 4 neptunes refunded and my jupiters are humming along.

good luck to crew dealing with these headaches and stress.

I love the first gen gear.
