201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3090Ti or 3090 on: April 09, 2022, 05:22:28 AM
3090ti released half year before 40xx release date.

Remember when 2080ti'ers got 3070'd ??..well it is nice to own one but don't go full blast on those 3090ti's

In crypto "timing" is a huge factor.. 3090's x3 the 1080ti's and ROI'd..and that is a very good thing.

3090ti x3 the 1080ti too, imagine if the 4090 x4 or x5 the 1080ti.

1080ti~2080ti~3070

3090 vs 3090ti is like 1080ti vs 2080ti ...what if the 4070 will be more energy efficient version of 3090/3090ti in 6 months.

40xx series will come with gddr7, that's the signal...always follow vram memory upgrades  Wink

the 3090ti is 7 or 8 % better then the 3090.

and it is priced just about the same.

I have 17 or 18 3090 cards and 2 3090ti cards. the 3090ti are better.

the 1080ti and the 2080ti had a large price jump. like 700 to 1100 usd

and hash was only 50 to 55

so the 3090ti is decent enough.

of course if we go pos in July all cards go in the shitter. Since mining ⛏ with gpus will take a huge hit.

50 to 55 hash will be like the "7% or 8% better" like you said.

it all comes down to price..if it is just about the same, why not?...price will dictate, there are different price variables around the world..to some area 400$-500$ will be the price difference between 3090 and 3090ti too.

Yes, temperatures, especially of memory chips, are indeed a problem, which, however, is solved with the help of undervolting or using immersion baths, but there is still an ever-increasing energy consumption, which after the release of 4090 at which TDP is expected to be more than 600W.
Yep I read about this 4090 using 600Watt online, I'm guessing and thinking how this GPU will perform in cooling, a powerful GPU that uses 600watt can't be cool using a thermal pad and paste, I hope Nvidia knows what they are doing this time around, we dont want to experience RTX 3080s and 3090s all over again.
I think this is the maximum power consumption, but the real power will be about 300-400 watts. At 600 watts, a more modern cooling system is tedious. Although AMD had a dual-chip AMD Radeon HD 7990 graphics card that consumed about 500 watts, but the miners used it with the correct settings and downvolting, so its consumption was about 350 watts.

Like 295x2 is 500w too

600w is a new paradigm.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Real miners never give up. on: April 07, 2022, 03:08:46 AM
Have you tried to calculate how many ASICs Intel needs to release in order to perform a 51% attack? Or do you think that mining pools will support a 51% attack and then lose their business?
It's probably cheaper for them to ban bitcoin by law.

Who cares if mining pools will support this or not, a 51% attack is a 51% attack, create your pool, turn your asics on and create the hashrate till you hit 51%, remember the more hashrate the less profitable btc is because the more difficulty, so in reality will get a point where others will stop mining because there is no profit and a 51% attack to whoever will be much easier because they can mine at loss, others who are entirely in for profit will stop mining, remember hashrate only increase because it has profit in there, if no profit it will not increase, whoever wants to kill btc dont care about profit.

these are what is needed to do that:
- someone has to have a computing tech (where it can't be available to miners(private or company))
- electricity facility/ties to waste

other factors (price related):
- bitcoin diminishing rewards is making BTC ...scarce
- peasants already into BTC a lot already wanted it ...scarce
- non-peasants wanted more BTC ..scarce

scarce that is wanted makes the price increase.. justifying mining whether you mine .01xx that is like around 100$ in the past or .002xx that will becomes 100$ right now

I remember when China banned crypto mining, I thought it will affect crypto honestly because China has the biggest hashrate on BTC and ETH but in just a matter of weeks the power was shifted elsewhere, Metroid try to learn from this, BTC mining difficulty is insanely big, this is not a small thing that a country can mess with, they will waste too much of money and power.

What do I have to learn from this? I dont get your point but the more difficulty it is the less profit it is, so in turn people will stop mining and that will make things easier for whoever wants that 51% attack. I really dont understand why you trolls think is so hard to do a 51% attack on btc or any other coin, is not, it's easy but for "political reasons" they don't do anything till a new world order is created ehhe and that is not a conspiracy theory eheh, it's the truth. You will do what they want you to do ehhe. The truth is, the same thing goes for political power, if you elect 51% of a party they will control that place, in society the same thing, actually everything in life is like that. Look at the US senate, parties always try to get the majority in the house which is 51% hehe to control it. A new world order just needs 51% of the world population to side with them then destroy the other 49% then gameover your freedom and everything.

yup new world order is coming with their CBDC's (central bank digital currencies).

if it is the "whole world" order then things will get ugly but if it is only a "few" countries in their "world order", they will probably have not enough time if crypto wins first as money in "digital realm"

exiting times...of course i'll side with crypto for a lot of reasons..you can't be a shitcoiner with CBDC coins LOL

600w is already an appliance wattage level, imagine having an oven toaster inside your computer case LOL

it is like r9 290 vs r9 290x

maybe 3090ti usefulness is to lower the price of 3090? LOL

A5000, 3090, 3080, 3080ti....a good bullrun will put all of these out of shelves, people panicking to grab any of those cardss, all will ROI.. LOL

hell even gpus from graves are will be dug up   Grin

208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Real miners never give up. on: April 01, 2022, 10:00:57 AM
No miners have the plan of giving up until the electricity bill is taking all the 99% profits they are earning every day, they have no choice but to give up, I understand that the best time to accumulate some coins is in a bear market but if bills are high it makes no sense.

By buying coins right? because is proven that mining in bear market is mining at loss.
Correct, unless they have access to 100% free electricity which isn't even possible, using the grid power illegally has big consequences so I advise against this act, mine if you have solar panels or don't mine at all.

there are other instances where you might still continue mining if 0 profit besides from speculation

- having coins that are completely non-KYC / anonymity

- not having to bother with fiat transfers for buying coins / tx fees

anyway profit should be good enough for the hassle so there is no way around expensive electricity cost, just don't mine if that is your situation.

AC again? LOL

means good prices  Cheesy

take profits

Yeah, when trolls talk about ac that means is time to take profits ehhe and my sell orders are hitting hehe

it is really funny, when it all crashes the AC will be turned off.. then the rigs.. then mining room..then log off this forum hehe
210  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can supplements be bad for you? on: March 31, 2022, 11:55:54 AM
In the US, milk is becoming less popular in favor of plant milks, and this could lead to calcium deficiency in some cases.

My daughter had a pretty delicate stomach and we expected she might be lactose intolerant, so the first idea was to switch to plant based milks, but apparently soy milk can develop allergies, so we used wheat and almond milks, but she had even bigger problems with that. It appears that she actually was allergic to soy products, not milk, and all the other plant milks have a disclaimer on the package tat they could contain small amounts of soybeans. Anyway, she drinks normal milk without problems now.

I always find it strange that as a kid I used to eat and drink all the things people these days are allergic to and all my friends did the same. We also did not use supplements at all because in the 80s and early 90s all that was recommended for children was a lot of vegetables and maybe some vitamin C and iron. Nobody used multivitamin mixes or protein supplements, not to mention all these vegan stuff and seeds like chia.

try probiotics, repopulate your gut with good bacteria (many strains), we depopulate them with antibiotics, i knew people who improved their gut/cured or at least there is some level of (better) tolerance to lactose..it is not just lactose but as an overall heath thing.

the good probiotics are the ones with at least 10 strains and at least 10-50 billion.

not throwing defective parts right away...by not doing this, you will waste your time and effort in the near future LOL

214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best power supply that don't take extra watts from wall on: March 25, 2022, 07:38:27 PM
It doesn’t make financial sense most of the time to get Platinum or Titanium based PSUs for mining. If you really need that extra efficiency you need to get a server PSU. Those are usually very efficient and reliable.

Most of the decent PSUs are the Gold rated PSUs. Sometimes you can score a deal on a Platinum level PSU however those are rare. Server PSUs is the way to go if you got tons of rigs and noise is not a factory. Especially if you got access to 240V power.

aaaaand..

titanium or platinum is less efficient then gold or silver if you don't hit the peak of the "efficiency curve" of the specific PSU.

yeah you can get gold, but it is "golden" that your load is just about right at the peak of the "efficiency curve".
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Terrible Mining Mistakes on: March 25, 2022, 07:26:19 PM
you sell crypto or cards because you have no alternative/other sources of income.

better be making one/multiple while money is easy during bull runs.

got busy setting up one lately but hey got a small area designated there for mining expansion hehe.

218  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can supplements be bad for you? on: February 24, 2022, 12:01:41 AM
I read an article probably 2 decades ago now about a study that was done on those who use supplements (specifically vitamins) with relation to their lifespan vs those who did not take supplements.  Interestingly, the study concluded that those who took supplements actually had a shorter lifespan than those that do.  I found it interesting and while the study admittedly stated this was not to be considered evidence that supplements were bad, it was eye opening.  The thing about the study where there was controversy, was people saying that those who took supplements did so because they had health issues or an unhealthy diet, and that those were likely the underlying causes for their shortened lifespan.  One could certainly make that argument, but in the end it would appear that supplements aren't the secret to a healthy and long lasting life.  Betty White said she never ate a vegetable and lived to be 99...

there are also big pharma supplements that are synthetic and actually harmful and cannot be utilized by the body.

there are a lot of gray areas in supplementation. it is not as simple as good or bad.
219  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can supplements be bad for you? on: February 06, 2022, 04:34:15 AM
In reality you can't maintain the ideal diet everyday, sometimes you want to eat other stuff that has less omega 3s, then you supplement.

There are other things in the "supplement category" that can function as medicine, more like theraphy(since you will experience results a bit longer than synthetics but better since it does not have side effects, there are cases though that it can act faster and better than synthetics like oil of oregano for fungal issues.)
220  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid-19 booster on: February 04, 2022, 01:27:09 PM
I know someone who works in a hospital, told me that there were cases of vaccine side effects.

Got in to an arguement with him about me not getting the jab, challenged me to visit a covid ward unmasked..told him, hell I'll even kiss the patient but i have to inject him with a booster shot.

The fucker backed out LOL. Actions speak louder than words  Grin
