201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The dangers of AI to us as they can be use for crypto stealing malwares on: April 13, 2024, 08:40:39 AM
I've tried some of these AIs but I am not going to download anything from them. I'm good using them with web-based websites like the chatgpt and any others. But if they're going to require me to download some of it, I won't be downloading any of them because that seems to be not the thing of mine. Or, if I use them and I want to download it, then I won't be downloading them with my main device or pc where in my wallets are found. So, I'll use a spare laptop or anything where I am going to use them. Otherwise, I'd stick into those web-based AI tools.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Proof of Scam ? on: April 13, 2024, 06:25:53 AM
The halving of bitcoin is indeed a dirty little trick hiding in the source code.

The bitcoin white paper misleads:

"The steady addition of a constant of amount of new coins..."

Point being:

White paper does not mention halving !
But, but, but.... it has happened even before so why complain? You just have to embrace it as it's a feature that has been mentioned by the creator himself. I get that maybe you're looking and pointing at it with the POS = proof of scam and maybe you're not literally pointing it out to Bitcoin but with some other projects that has that POS algo.  Cheesy
Anyway, it's not a dirty trick and if the miners complains about it, they should have done it long time ago but no, maybe a few of you but not in general that most of the miners doesn't like it but they're already aware of it.

204  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: One major business challenge on: April 12, 2024, 10:04:43 PM
That's why there are renewable energy sources that many countries have been implementing. And even if you're in a place that doesn't have much sunlight and you can't get source from the sun for the solar energy to sustain all of those business appartus and equipment for production and services, there can also be alternative source for that but with that, it's up to the local government that you're having and there are great professionals that will do the thing to help you out if you're one of these businessmen that are having this challenge.

A writing tip: You don't need to add numbering if you are going to discuss just one point. Numbers are added when there is more than one header and you separate them with numbers like 1, 2, 3, etc.
You nailed it. I'm actually expecting that there will be some more since he numbered 1.  Cheesy
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull run again, huh on: April 12, 2024, 08:42:41 PM
And fyi, I have put money on it, alot.
Most of the people will say that don't buy Bitcoin because it's expensive and OP just did bought Bitcoin and you're doing it correctly. While those people that suggests not to buy Bitcoin because it's expensive, they're the ones that's missing the whole point of this bull run. Yes, they may get 10x-100x or more with the altcoins that they're suggesting but how many actually of them were able to maximize their profits from it? Whilst for buying Bitcoin and holding it, you have no pressure holding it and regardless of your knowledge on the market, it's all starting with Bitcoin. This whole bull run is starting from the triggers that will be done entirely by Bitcoin through halving and the etfs that we've got already.
Buying the price now doesn't matter because bitcoin will still reach its record ATH again, people who say there is no need to buy see the high price so doubt they will get a little profit.

Altcoins can indeed get x10 - x100 profits only a few people do that, but behind him can be high profits I am sure there are altcoins that are not worth when they were bought first, however I myself have experienced investing in long-term altcoins that ended badly.

Bitcoin, if you HODL not sell you will not lose, many moments occur in bitcoin that you mention, especially the halving which is getting closer to take advantage of the current price because I myself am optimistic about bitcoin to $100K.
We knew about it, that after the halving Bitcoin will have another ATH. But we don't want to set the record and let those people that don't hold yet Bitcoin or have got plans of buying it to check it for themselves. We, that have been on this market and witnessed how many bull runs understand that each halving that passes by will have another ATH but we don't know when. This time, the gain that we might get with Bitcoin could be lesser in terms of 'x' because that seems to be the pattern and it might be 2x-4x or I hope that it could be more than that compared to the past ATH.

207  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation become big challenge for retired people after 10-20 years? on: April 12, 2024, 10:58:12 AM
Storing fiat in the long term is just like letting its value continue to decrease.
With inflation, that's going to have a lesser value in the upcoming years. Say that there's a stable 3% yearly inflation then the value of your savings in the bank or wherever you're storing it like your vault, it's for sure going to decrease over time. That's why most of the wealthy people are investing their money and they understand the importance of making their money work for them. It sound genius and brilliant but everyone can learn it and it's no longer a trade secret that only the wealthy ones can do and know about it.

Because the price of any item in 10 years will even increase above 10% at the normal inflation rate. And if we imagine that the world is experiencing a quite bad economic crisis like what has happened in the last few years.
It can even be more. With all of the cost rising effectively and they're not stopping at all. This is the new norm that we're experiencing and us while we're still quite young or when we're going to that point of retirement, we have to prepare ourselves as well. There's no way that the inflation will be stopped, it might calm down but it will never go away.
208  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitget Wallet Reviews on: April 11, 2024, 11:11:10 PM
Aside from that, they've got a lot of people inserting them always with discussions so that's probably their PR that are also in the forum.
Yeah, they hired many shillers to shill their exchange in the forum, i don't know what they are thinking or maybe they do not know how this forum functions. Because these shillers are doing more harm than good to their reputation, because this type of advertisement is kind of shady on bitcointalk.
I think that they have an idea how it works and that's mainly the plan and it seemed to work as many have became aware of what their exchange now is and expanding to their other product which is this wallet.

What a crazy development from all of these exchanges making their own closed source wallets.
I think they know that people who 'trust' their exchange would trust their wallet, even if it is closed source and not recommended, many people do not care about important things like this.
Exactly, as they have capitalized their reputation being an exchange. Whatever they release will also be trusted by their customers that have been loyal to them or those that are looking for something to trust with their other product. That's why they've been too active in their marketing and more of these exchanges aside from them will do the same thing and will release their own loads of airdrops through their own platforms and wallets.
209  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitget Wallet Reviews on: April 11, 2024, 09:14:06 PM
I've seen this wallet as well because there is an airdrop that they're going to release. Aside from that, they've got a lot of people inserting them always with discussions so that's probably their PR that are also in the forum.

I think any web3 wallet that came from any exchanges is not safe why don't you just stay using Metamask wallet?
However, if your purpose is to join Airdrop you will need to install this web3 wallet from Bitget just like on Binance they do also have a web3 wallet you can't join to any Airdrop if you don't install their web3 wallet.
I agree, most of these web3 wallets have of course their own reasons why they're being developed and mainly if you're just for the sake of the airdrop. You better not trust your funds on them quickly but with what I am seeing, they're not different from the known trustwallet that's now owned by binance although they also have their own web3 wallet as well. What a crazy development from all of these exchanges making their own closed source wallets.
210  Economy / Economics / Re: Some attributing factors to the high cost of petroleum products in Nigeria on: April 11, 2024, 07:34:20 PM
Subsidy Removal:You know, when there's fuel subsidies, it means that the price of fuel is artificially lowered for consumers whereby our government absorb some production costs. But when this is no longer the same, distributors are are compensated anymore therefore leading to high cost of production and distribution hence, the effects on the final consumers.
A fuel subsidy is a good way to reduce the price of the fuel and any other oil products. But this should be mainly given to the public transportation or those people that have been working with the logistics because they already need to have fuel and they're the first one to feel the pain of the rise of the fuel cost. But the government can't always give this subsidy as they need to gather also where they're going to get the fund, in other results, they're going to raise the taxes in some sector to sustain this subsidy.

Exchange rate fluctuation: When we imports high amounts of petroleum products from overseas and there is high differences in our exchange rate with dollar automatically the cost of importation increase which now affects the pump price of these products to the consumers.
This is also one cause of the more expensive local pricing of fuel. When a country doesn't have their oil production, they are importing it and the barrels being bought in USD affects the price of it locally when they have to convert local money to USD and will use that in payment. The economy of a country is truly also reliant to the cost of the fuel as everything is transported but those countries that are producing their own fuel, this is not a problem to them.

Nevertheless, there are other factors that results to this increase as the case may be. Then from my own points of view, what is your opinion?...
Political policies, and nonstop importation.
211  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 🔥 BC.Game - Bitcoin Price Prediction #2 | WIN $50! on: April 11, 2024, 01:41:46 PM

212  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: April 11, 2024, 12:12:57 PM
Thanks mate, I've joined the first Bitcoin prediction and almost missed the 2nd one.

I must admit that online casinos are not my passion and in general I don’t have much experience with them. But since I’m in the BC.GAME signature campaign, I decided that I should figure out how the site works, what services are provided and what capabilities players have. I would like to note right away that I find it very positive that the interface is presented in different languages, including my native Ukrainian. This immediately simplified the familiarization task.
That's fine, you just have to be familiar with them and how to do that? By actually engaging and gambling in them.

I continue to get acquainted with different games, and now I want to say that I really liked the section on forecasts and bets on sports games. I recently started holding prediction competitions, so here I also need to improve my knowledge and skills. It’s convenient that there is information about different football matches and that you can immediately make your own assumption.
Yeah, they're very active with these prediction competitions and they're all free as they give back to the community. Easy conditions and hopefully that at some point we get to win even one of those.
213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You will lose more if you DCA without knowledge on: April 11, 2024, 10:27:51 AM
What I have noticed with my bitcoin holding is that, I have continued to lose more, each time i try to take advantage of the price to profits, in form of DCA approach.

This outcome lead me to make further research about the best way to build profits using DCA and I find out that, is a wrong thing to do as a newbies without adequate knowledge about the volatility of the bitcoin market, and also no matter how sweet the DCA approach have been for experience bitcoin investors, DCA can still be the worst for a newbies,  so I say newbies should stay away from DCA until they have the knowledge of the risk and approach to DCA.

Thank you for reading.
How it can be worst for the newbies when it's one of the best approach that don't force them to buy a whole Bitcoin and allows them to buy at any rate with any amount that's available to them? I don't think you know what you're saying about looking at your profits and you're DCAing. Don't you think that your Bitcoins won't be lessened when you take profits? of course, you're selling some bitcoins as you're saying you DCA in profits so its quantity is also becoming lesser and that's why your projected value in $ is also lesser because you've taken profits. In traditional setup, you've lessened your stock because you've sold them.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: Governments and their irrelevant projects just to steal public funds on: April 11, 2024, 08:46:33 AM
Do we assume it is still one of the money laundering strategies that the government intentionally creates loopholes in other to steal the public funds? Because even after the implementations and execution of Such projects, the same governments clamours that the nation has run out of funds after giving accounts of those irrelevant executed projects.
It's a major problem for the developing countries that their corrupt government officials are going to do some projects to solve problems that their city and citizens dealing with through infrastructures but little did the people know, they've got some kickbacks. And what they do is that they're connected with the contractors and builders of those infrastructures and they have commission with that. That's how the corrupt goes to make it look like they're real public servant. While in the develop countries, there could still some ways for them to take advantage of their fundings that gives some idea on how to bypass their law and system if they see some loopholes.
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price history during Eid al-Fitr on: April 10, 2024, 11:52:40 PM
what do you think? is it still relevant?
IMHO, if it's come to these events. There's no relevance or need for us to compare it with the past prices. Happy Eid to our muslim friends but I don't see any significance of the event and the price of Bitcoin. While having the data and providing it is good but that just ends there. We can have the comparison on how much Bitcoin was for the past and the current ones but looking forward to the actual price that we're seeing is caused by the major event that we're having actually for Bitcoin like the halving, btc spot etfs.
216  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Changenow.io Scam - 4100$ in BTC! Never send money to this cunts!!! on: April 10, 2024, 10:45:05 PM
I wouldn't use instant exchanges for converting that amount of BTC into USDT. But as said, changenow has got a lot of accusations in here and they're not just new but since years ago and that's why they should be avoided. I just felt bad that you haven't searched anything about them before using them. But I think that you've been using and trusting them for so long so you did go on with that amount. Anyway, it's true that they should just refund you if they have flagged the coins came from a casino. IMO, you'll get your money back but they're too slack and slow with these process that has led them to many accusations even before.
217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I almost become a millionaire on: April 10, 2024, 09:44:07 PM
In the year 2010,my best friend introduce me to cryptocurrency and he advice me to invest in bitcoin. I felt bitcoin was another ponzi scheme created by scammers to scam innocent people. Today my friend is a multi Millionaire. If only I had listened to his advice,I would have become a millionaire by now.
It's not too late and all of us have got the same story to share about these big ifs in our lives. Me either, when I have first heard about it since like the early 2010's were like the internet era were a lot of online scams have been made and you cannot blame yourself for being skeptic and protective when you've became a victim of it once. Well, just be happy that someone was able to become a multi millionaire and he's your friend, you can make your own journey and start it out because it's never been too late to invest. Or, if there is some other industry that you can flourish your life with and become productive with it.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc purchases on: April 10, 2024, 08:34:03 PM
The exchanges that were posted here won't require you to do any kyc. Aside from P2P and those exchanges, you can ask someone that has an account in an exchange that's fully verified to do the favor for you. If you happen to know in a circle of your friends have that, you can ask that guy to do the purchase to you. It's either you'll give him a bit portion of your purchase or he'd do it for free as both of you are friends. This is just like the choice that you don't ever have any other but do the first ones, the P2P or else you do the verification on your own.
219  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Unable to Send Bitcoin because there showing "Insufficient balance" on: April 09, 2024, 11:40:36 PM
I really wonder how these users managed to use such buggy wallet for all these years?
Maybe it's too convenient for them because all you have to do is visit their URL and then login to your username(ID) and password. And at most times, if you're able to save those details and make your browser remember, it's just a few clicks away for yout access.
I've been there and done that but good thing when I was still using them, I've read people suggesting to stay away from web wallets and never store funds there and blockchain.info was still the domain by that time and I've experienced a lot of bugs as well. I don't know how this company keeps these feedbacks from their former users.
220  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Risk of import wallet seed to a new web wallet, to chase airdrop on: April 09, 2024, 10:10:34 PM
That's important not to use your main wallet for joining such airdrops. And if they're asking for wallet seed importation or the app they have or website is forcing you to connect the wallet then please don't be to obedient with them. Always use a fresh wallet and as much as possible with new seed for you not to touch your existing funds if you've got it either with metamask or any other wallet that you're using for such. Because you don't even know if that project is going to be something good in the future and yet, you're selling everything you've got to them and the chance of being phished or hacked is high.
