Sri Lanka did lose the fourth wicket at 54 runs. But they have turned things around. They are building a good fifth partnership. The score is 185 right now, and both the batsmen in the middle are very set. Mathews is on 64 and DeSilva is on 74.
If not for the 5th wicket partnership between Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya de Silva, Sri Lanka would be in deep trouble. Positive aspect is that Dhananjaya de Silva is still in the crease and approaching a well deserved century and hopefully would built partnership with the tail.

Eagerly waiting for the 4th Test in the Ashes as other series are boring  Grin.

India Women has done very well in the bowling line, now if they can bat well, they will win this match very easily.
The Indian bowlers have done their job and they have a really modest total to chase but it looks like the batsman are disappointing with they way they are proceeding with the chase as India already lost their 5th wicket and they still need 91 runs to win the match and Bangladesh could fold their tail if they continue the same pressure, Deepti Sharma is in the crease and she is the only hope to take the team closer.

Disappointing thing is that, i could not find the match live in any OTT platform Roll Eyes.

Edit: Bangladesh is going to win the match as India lost their 8th wicket and they still need 63 runs which is an impossible task now.

^^ Mayra Bueno Silva was a good pick, i picked Holly Holm to win because of her experience and she was controlling the fight until she was caught in the front choke and it was a beautiful trap and i did not see that coming and she is a submission specialist.

Jack Della Maddalena VS Bassil Hafez was a disappointing fight and i placed a bet on Jack Della Maddalena to win as he was a heavy favorite and after seeing the first round, i had to cash out my parlay and i thought Bassil Hafez did enough to secure the win as he was controlling the fight majority of the time, granted Jack Della Maddalena was able to land some strikes in the second and third round.

I personally would want to see an underdog story especially if the challenger is worth it, just like this one because Ngannou is not a push over.
We all probably seen those stories if you're around in the 80s - 90s era where there are challengers surfacing who would want to take their chance.
You are mentioning the underdog story of a boxer making a huge upset, Francis Ngannou is making his boxing debut. In MMA he is a force to recon as he has huge power, if you check out all his knockouts in MMA you will understand why he will not replicate the same in boxing especially against someone elite like Tyson Fury, who could read the punch coming from a mile Grin.

$600k is embarrassingly low amount for a heavyweight champion fighting for the most recognizable brand in combat sports. I knew the UFC underpaid its top fighters but that is just shocking to hear that his purse was so low.
He made a million plus in that fight, $600k was the guaranteed purse and not his overall money he made in that fight.

~
Fury is a boxer who wants to be mentioned in years to come alongside true boxing heavyweight legends. For that he will have to fight the very best of his own era and generation one after another successfully defending his titles. If that does not happen Fury will not be held in high enough esteem to be mentioned alongside legends such as George Foreman, Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson and the great Ali.
Tyson Fury is considered as the best boxer in the modern era and he is considered as a legend of the sport, going to Germany to face the undefeated Wladimir Klitschko as a heavy underdog and winning the belt, then going through depression and drug addiction and even trying to kill himself and gaining over 400 pounds and then making a return, going to US and facing Deontay Wilder who everyone considers the best knockout boxer in history as an underdog and winning and he is still undefeated and no other boxer you mentioned in history can claim that other than Rocky Marciano Wink.

Those both organization have a power to make a centralized or control for their community, the essence of the crypto currency is to make all process decentralized but with the exchange you are using you are letting them to have your data, limit the transactions and hold your funds which is too far for the use of it the same with the government we know they can control this too at the same time even the Rates and taxes included for your every transactions.
There is a misconception, the centralized exchanges are not forcing you to keep the coins in their exchanges and limiting your transactions, you can simply withdraw the coins and hold them in your wallet where you have full control, its far easier to purchase cryptocurrency through a centralized exchange because of the rampant scams if you are trying to purchase from other sources.

In this situation, i would support CZ to win rather than the government controlling the market.
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Less than 300 days left to halving - price predictions for The Day? on: July 15, 2023, 04:08:01 PM

There is a lot of anxiety right now. A lot of people are worried that they would miss bitcoin at $200k but what they do not know is that from all indications it doesn't seem that bitcoin will go to six-figures. The value of Bitcoin at the next halving could be around $40,000 to $50,000.
It depends upon the overall market sentiment, if there is an financial meltdown it is highly unlikely you would see the price around $40k at the time of halving, with the uncertainty that is going on for a while around the world and the with the high inflation it is not that easy to predict.  Even in a hypothetical situation where everything is perfect, the rally will not start right after the halving.

Right Wi playing very bad cricket even though he does not qualify for Word Cup 2023. What a shocking display of cricket by India They secured a remarkable victory against West Indies winning by an innings and 141 runs.
It should be, how bad West Indies are playing and it was expected India would win the match easily, only surprised when India declared the innings as i thought it should be a batting practice for all the players and improve their average  Cheesy. Yashasvi Jaiswal will be the find of the season and hopefully he will be able to perform well against better teams.

Over the years Ashwin has worked hard to get positing of what Nathan Lyon  is for Australia. I don't think there are many out there who underestimate role of Ashwin as a spinner in Indian test squad. His recent performance in test proved that he is integral part of Indian test squad.
Ashwin is a much better bowler than Nathan Lyon and it is reflected in his bowling average, and Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are integral to all the major wins by India in the past decade and India will find it hard to find a player that could replace him once he retires from Cricket.

Everything is clear with him, but to whom this clowning might be interesting, I don’t understand? If the fight would be according to the rules of the MMA, then it might be interesting, but a fight by the rules of boxing with someone who has not had a single fight in boxing is of no interest.
Francis Ngannou is looking for a high profile Boxing fight for a while and he has got his chance and hopefully learn a lesson or two with this bout Cheesy.

~
Ngannou does not have a boxing license (as far as I know) and will not be able to get one. In addition, under the auspices of which boxing organization will this fight take place? I didn't find any information about it.
It will be a professional bout but the WBC belt wont be in the line for this bout as Francis Ngannou does not meet their criteria and since the match will be held in Saudi Arabia,  Middle East Professional Boxing Commission will be providing the license.

The way Afghanistan are losing wickets today, it seems that Afghanistan will not be able to give a target of more runs. Bangladesh will have a good chance to win.
The same can be said about Bangladesh as they already lost their top 3 batsman chasing a total of 154 set by Afghanistan and the only positive aspect for Bangladesh is that Shakib Al Hasan is still in the crease and as long as he is performing they will have a chance but Afghanistan picked up these early wickets without the help of Rashid Khan and he is yet to start his magical spell of bowling Wink.

For India the problem is with oversupply. What Jaiswal will do when Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant are back in the team? Already Jaiswal, Gill and Ishan Kishan are fighting for the same spot. I think ICC need to allow two test teams from India. Else a lot of talented players will find themselves outside the team despite the fact that they are performing really well. Anyway, this series is turning out to be a farce. West Indies cricket is in hard times. They lost to Scotland and Netherlands earlier this month and now they are getting hammered by Indian youngsters.
Yashasvi Jaiswal will book his place as an opener even if Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant returns and he is a youngster with great potential as he is scoring runs at an average of 80 in first class and glad that the selectors have given him the opportunity to play for the national side this early and if he could maintain the same level of consistency against other teams, Yashasvi Jaiswal will have a spot for over a decade.

Today's match was full of twists, when Sultana Khatun and Shamima Sultana got out consecutively, I was 100% confirmed that Bangladesh will lose today's match as well. But Bangladesh did not lose any more wickets after that and Bangladesh avoided a whitewash in T20 by defeating India by 4 wickets.
Two surprising matches in the women's game, the first one was the dominating performance by Sri Lanka Women winning the match chasing 140 set by New Zealand, i was expecting New Zealand to defend the total but Sri Lanka won by 10 wickets. And then Bangladesh restricting India for 102 runs and Bangladesh avoiding the whitewash and winning the final match.

Dricus looking for support from African people while Adesanya doesn't need much to ask because they can tell he is from Africa by the color of his skin. Dricus point is that he is born in Africa and currently resides in Africa unlike those who claimed to fight for Africa. It feels like it will be a political issue soon.
Lets just say that these are independent professional fighters trying to earn a living and trying to prove that they are the best fighters and it was cringe to actually see Israel Adesanya take race and country as if he wants to prove something about his origin. Israel Adesanya is playing the race card and trying to take it to a different route might irritate some of the fans.

Windies should also try to adopt bazball, after all these guys are known for their power hitting in white ball cricket despite hitting rock bottom.
The West Indies players might have tried the Bazball after looking at the wickets highlights some of the wickets were like gifting them to the spinners by looking for a big shot but going to cover and fine leg fielders inside the circle, they need to first time the ball Cheesy.

Lot of hype behind Yashasvi Jaiswal for his debut from the commentators because he is having an incredible first class career and the way he is playing he might score a debut century.

Obviously, DAZN wants to resurrect Joshua's career, if you suffer from two successive losses from championships and you have been beaten decisively you need a guy you have previously beaten to bring back your motivation to get back on the road again.
This is exactly the reason i was thinking when i saw this thread, the promoters of Anthony Joshua wanted him to be confident enough after the losses so that they can book other high profile fights but the funny aspect will be, what happens if Anthony Joshua gets knocked out cold by Dillian Whyte because he is more than capable of doing that Cheesy.

This fight is only going to end up one way and that’s with Fury beating Ngannou badly. It never ends up well for MMA fighters in the boxing ring.
Francis Ngannou will gas out completely after the 4th or 5th round and Tyson Fury will teach him some classic boxing lessons for someone who is making his boxing debut against a legend  Cheesy.

Great to see that Francis Ngannou was finally able to get a match up he is dreaming and after the fight he will understand why Dana White was not willing to make this fight happen  Cheesy.

The Netherlands played two matches against Sri Lanka. They were badly defeated in both the matches. In both the matches Sri Lanka set a low target but the Netherlands could not win. The Netherlands scored 192 runs against Sri Lanka in the previous match and today they scored only 105 runs. I don't think this team can play well in the World Cup. They will lose every match.
Netherlands is the best team that is available to get a slot in the final 10, think about a scenario when other associate teams gets a slot, it will be a one sided affairs and there is no way they are going to upset any major teams and the thing that is going to happen is that the teams facing Netherlands in the World Cup would view it as a practice match to boost up their averages Cheesy.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 09, 2023, 03:27:30 PM
Ashes's scoreboard is inching towards 1-2, at least that should be the end result.

Not expecting any twist but you never know with England's batting. The good thing is, today Poms didn't throw away their wicket, bowlers had to earn each one so kudos to Starc despite him being expensive all the time. Left seam bowlers are really luxury in the playing XI
Chris Woakes and Mark Wood took England to victory, Mark Wood was instrumental in this match with 7 wickets and scoring some crucial runs and the English fans will be jubilant as they were predicting a come back victory from behind and winning the series even in the media and even in a hypothetical situation if that becomes true, they will blow the roof off for a week  Cheesy.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 09, 2023, 01:21:34 PM
^  Yup!  And Pantoja won!  Man that could be one of the top fights of the year imho.  But I don't think it's a split decision.  Pantoja won the fight unanimously, I think one of the judges gave 4 rounds to Moreno.  Lol.  He clearly wasn't watching the fight.
It was a really close fight and i need to watch the fight once more because i was upset after the Rob Whittaker loss but one of the judge was way off in scoring the fight and it is time that they start appointing judges who have the knowledge about the sport.

And our pie shitter of the event, Rob Whittaker.  Never expected DDP to finish him like he did.  Anybody thinks DDP could win vs Adesanya in a 5 round scrap?
I was expecting Rob Whittaker to win the fight but the size difference was obvious as Dricus Du Plessis was able to overpower him on the ground and was able to control him whenever the fight goes to the ground but against Adesanya it will be really interesting as Adesanya is a great striker and would controls the distance really well.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: July 08, 2023, 05:40:35 PM
Call me crazy but I am going for the underdog this time on the main event and crossing my fingers that he could KO Volkanovski too.
It is a bold prediction, there is no denying that Yair Rodríguez is talented with his unorthodox style as it is really unpredictable how he attacks but Alexander Volkanovski is a different breed in the 145 pound division as he can easily take on any challenger in his division and no one could out strike him nor anyone could knock him out cold and he could even win against the elite fighters in 155 pound division, so always going with Alexander Volkanovski.
