All thanks to Root and Potts the English side one the first test out of three. Newzealand lost the match because of poor batting. I never expected them to get wiped out by just getting a lead of 277 runs. These two Mitchell and Blundell were batting so good that I assumed they will stay on the pitch the next day till they both help Newzealand getting a good lead of more than 300 runs. They lost because the batters were not able to handle the pitch. Looking forward to the next test match.
Joe Root really deserves the credit for this victory. But New Zealand hasn't lost the match for their poor batting performance. The pitch wasn't friendly for batting. And new ball was helping the fast bowlers to make the swing perfectly. We have also seen the collapse of England batting lineup in the first innings. Day 4 started with the old ball. As a result, the fast bowlers weren't able to make much variance in their bowling. A new ball could have changed the game. England lost their first 4 wickets quickly in the second innings. Then they turned the game on their favour with the batting performance of Joe Root and Ben Stokes.
I was rooting for the Kiwis throughout this test match because it's more fun when BIG-3 lose the match due to meltdown.

Having said that, Rooty is continuing with his dream form, youngest guy to reach 10k runs along with Cook is not easy feat in any way, although Poms play tons of Test match every year so it's manageable for talented ones. I used to criticise him a lot due to his conversion rate but after so many years this guy is going strong and i wish he continue to serve the test cricket for at least next 3-4 years.

I think Root is one batsman from England who has really played consistently for the team without being dropped or anything. If you see English cricket history there have been a lot of good batsmen but all of them had been great for just some time in their career but Root who is barely 31 at this point in time can really become an English Legend, having Said that I doubt NZ  gave a tough competition to Eng it was just Root who made them Win
Do not forget the bowlers, they were the highlight performers for the first two days and once New Zealand missed the opportunity to score a good lead, the match was in the balance and then the odds started to change and i wanted to place a bet on England but skipped knowing their first innings collapse and England won the match without loosing a wicket today.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to put money in ETH? on: June 05, 2022, 02:16:25 PM
Is it a good time to put some money into eth, or is it falling more?

Right now the market is very confusing and haven't seen any sign of the ethereum coming up any moment from now. Ethereum is the only alt coin I can buy in this bearish time to invest.
I would stay away from investing in ETH knowing the fact that they are yet to fulfill their promises and you never know what happens when they migrate from POW to POS and what bugs are awaiting.

The hype around POS rallied the market because everyone wanted to stake and I am not expecting new investors buying the coin to stake and when it comes to use case the network fees is yet to be sorted.

I am asking what will you sell to buy more bitcoin if this speculation ever happens or will you choose to  sell off all your bitcoin due to FUD.
Investment is about taking a portion of your saving and not taking a loan or selling off property hoping that you could make a fortune in a short period of time.

It is highly unlikely that we would see a value below $10k and if I get the opportunity I would grab them.

I do agree that the wait period has to change and they should reduce the time gap to play for another country. I will not say that these rules should change completely if so it will be like Jamaican athletics for decades when there was a time where countries like US Canada and UK would scout for talents during their national tournament and then hijack young talents promising a good life and represent those countries and win Olympic gold for them.

~
Shouldn't this kind of rule apply to the countries which buy the players?
It applies but those players have not played any international matches and hence allowed to play without any restrictions. If countries like UAE or similar countries wanted to buy someone who played International matches, the same rule is applicable for them as well.
1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Market 2022 | Back to the Bearish cycle: 2018-2020 year? on: June 05, 2022, 12:04:05 AM
It is obvious we are going through the same phase we used to see in the past with every rally and there are still people waiting to see a rally in the next few months and i understand that majority are really optimistic but historically we need to wait for the next rally which will take another two years when the next BTCitcoin halving takes place and until then you can accumulate and be patient Wink
1146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More SOL outages = Price dump on: June 04, 2022, 11:32:59 PM
This is the 4th time in 2022 the Solana network outage, previously the solana team also vowed to fix this situation and not let it happen again, but maybe they fail again.
It's hard to accept a top-rated blockchain that keeps experiencing outages. This situation continues so I think Sol will be like Luna, investors will leave them.
The developers will keep on vouching with every outages and unless and until there is a solid solution, projects will move away from Solona and even now majority of the projects are in multiple networks because you cannot trust a single project that can claim that they will scale without any fundamental technical issues and that is the case with SOL.
1147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to buy - end of bear market incoming on: June 04, 2022, 10:51:45 PM
Even if the fall -80% I still be more careful on what we are seeing right now because we don't know what will happen since there's no contributing factor for us to look up for a bull run. Also as long as the market is unstable and we see some crisis occur maybe this will stop people to hodl but we don't know on what will happen in future so I guess its up for people who have golden balls to figure out if he will became rich if he hodl or not.
If you are still holding the potential coins at this time, it is better to hold for the long term as you cannot expect the market to recover in the coming months. Majority of the alts came down significantly after touching their all time high valuation and if you booked your profit then it is well and good but if you are holding still then there is no way out rather than to hold further till the next rally which might take some time.

Definitely a win is waiting for England tomorrow as they need 61 runs on day 4. Root along with Ben Foakes is still there on the crease and that's why there are bright chances of England win. From NZ side Daryl Mitchell and Tom were the only batsmen who scored runs in second innings rest of the batting just collapsed once again.
Another unexpected turn of events, i expected New Zealand to score a healthy second innings score but they failed to do so and now England is in a position to win the match with just 61 runs to get and plenty of wickets in hand and it is not a big task unless you see some exceptional bowling performance from New Zealand bowlers and are able to pick some quick wickets.

Finally some good news coming up up for Pakistani. The women team finally showing some magic.
I am not sure what has gone wrong with them during the world cup - but good that they learnt their weakness fast and covered them quick. Looking fwd for the next match.
Pakistan Woman's team is a much better team than Sri Lanka and hence they are dominating the series and it was a good bet to pick even though the odds were really low. Sri Lanka woman teams once they loose their openers they struggle throughout the series and the odds drops considerably after that. Pakistan top order is in top form during the matches i saw and someone scored a century as well for Pakistan.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most crypto projects' team members are made public these days? on: June 03, 2022, 11:59:39 PM

Look at those project with anonymous developer, most of them turned into a scam project and this is why this has been a big concern for the investors. You can still be anonymous by using those altcoins, its just that the developers are expose to the public and that could also be part of their marketing strategy.
The number of scam projects this space has encountered in the past several years is more than enough to distrust any projects with an unknown team and people should be wary because they are collecting money in the name of creating a project. So if you are raising money you should be public.

I have seen some are asking why Satoshi was anonymous and still BTCitcoin reached this position, the answer is simple. Satoshi never raised money to create BTCitcoin and the code was everything.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba getting rugged like Luna? on: June 03, 2022, 11:48:42 PM
The shiba founder was alwyas creating so many probems. he was also having a problem with the community when shiba inu got popular. Just never take this as a redflag for shiba founder to destroy shiba inu. Shiba inu founder has no power to do this. All of tokens already fully distributed in the market. If the protocol will fail and this is the only weapon that owned by him to destroy shiba inu but im sure so many shiba inu believers will still believe on it.
I am not following Shiba Inu and hence i am not aware of the history behind them, all i know that it was hyped really well and majority of the exchanges jumped behind the hype and i still think it was a planned thing to hype up the project so that it would attract the meme coin enthusiast and there were many new investors who jumped in the hype and invested in it.
1152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 03, 2022, 11:11:46 PM
What a difference in performance between the first innings and second innings. In the first innings it was said the pitch is bowling supportive and it has turned completely or the players have begun to play in a much responsible manner. Tremendous performance from Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell. Made a big partnership at the right time. If these two wickets have gone at a lower score, now the innings could've come to an end. Both nearing the century and facing close number of balls is really good and giving a hard time for England.
Even i was expecting New Zealand to fold today but Daryl Mitchell Tom Blundell is pilling up a huge lead and saved New Zealand from a defeat and they now have a lead of 227 runs and three more days left in this match. A good second innings total with a lead of above 350 runs and England is in trouble chasing the score in the last two days as i am expecting the pitch to be uneven in the final days.
1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 03, 2022, 09:50:01 PM
They are playing country cricket in England. IPL franchises are not interested in associate players. The problem is that Netherlands is not a test country and therefore the players don't have regular opportunities to play cricket at the highest level. So the best players sign contracts with various English county sides. But the negative side is that, if they are contracted then they can't play for Netherlands during the county season. This is a regular problem for teams such as Scotland, Netherlands and Ireland. Their best players get stolen by England.
Players like Dirk Nannes made an impact in the IPL with his bowling performance which is an Netherlands player and Ryan ten Doeschate was another player who is really talented but never got many opportunities in the IPL for a full season.

Players from other countries can participate in county season in England and usually players refine their skills in these matches but other countries will not accept foreign players in their domestic season and it is a fact that playing in counties are an opportunity for the associate players.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 03, 2022, 09:10:34 PM
You are one among many who make these claims on a regular basis in literally every IPL season. These claims are baseless since you cannot prove them which is why I don't agree with you at all.
After every season there will be some sort of article popping about match fixing and this time it is inflated by highly intellect ministers Cheesy.

Fixing has drastically dropped in recent years which is why it isn't as easy as you think anymore. Logically, fixing isn't really that lucrative anymore for the players if you think about it.

Why would they want to shoot themselves in the foot and possibly lose out on legit and high salaries by engaging in fixing? Think shill!
Logically no one would ruin their career of earning big money but the players who are the end of their career are always a target and all they need to share is local room strategy. Majority of these accusations cannot be proved unless the officers can provide trail and i have not seen that till now even during the Sreesanth fixing case.

It is a really interesting match going on between New Zealand and England, i thought England would run away with the match when they restricted New Zealand for 132 runs and i was glad to see James Anderson and Stuart Broad playing together and England had a great start as they went wicketless for 59 runs and now they lost 7 wickets at the close of the day.

17 wickets in the first day and the match wont last in the final two days and the match is getting interesting as one good session with the bat will change the match.
1156  Economy / Speculation / Re: A crash where Bitcoin wasn't responsible should be treated as such on: May 29, 2022, 04:30:40 PM
The current issue with Luna contributes on how the sentiments of the people towards how they take the market and for seeing the price continue to decline they mostly try to sell off trying to minimize their losses that's why we go on this far. But for sure all of this will be countered since the issue towards those huge incidents has been covered up and people sentiments has been diverted towards on good things right now.
Without a doubt the issue with luna has affected this market in ways that many people were not expecting, and while some may be worried about what happened, at the end of the day this has no relationship with bitcoin at all and this should not affect bitcoin on the long term either, which means that this is a golden opportunity to get bitcoin for sub 30k prices, so if you have some cash which you do not think you will need during the next years this seems like a golden opportunity to invest in bitcoin.

Yeah, I don't think it will affect bitcoin's price long term, we've seen the devastating effect on the economy from the Covid-19, and yet we have bounce back from it. This is just another noise in this bear cycle, and I think we will recover from it. Might take a long time because of the current conditions, nevertheless, maybe in the next quarter, we will forgot about this one and we will definitely move forward again.
There is no debate about the recovery and we all know that the major coins will recover in the long run, but there is a difference in the term long time, it is not just the next quarter but might take a couple of years until the next halving.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 29, 2022, 03:27:04 PM
RR VS GT
RR won the toss and chose to bat. GT with great bowling with Rashid and Pandya. Rashid did not let RR score runs whereas Pandya took 2 wickets just in 60 runs for 9 overs. As usual Butler from RR going on with his 6’s and 4’s. An Interesting match must say to watch. Worth watching.
Butler is the main stay for RR to score a huge total and possibly win a title after 14 years and have a fitting tribute to Shane Warne.

A few months ago, I had mentioned about the problems that are present in the domestic cricket (for both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka). In both these countries, instead of a region-based first class system they have club sides based in the capital city competing in first class competition. Obviously these privately owned clubs are going to prioritize limited overs format, because that is from where they get the revenue. Both the boards (SLCB and BCB) should reformat their domestic setup and take steps to spread cricket outside Colombo and Dhaka respectively.
Considering the debate that is going on here for the past few weeks, they would find fault in the ICC funding for the discrepancies of Sri Lankan Cricket board and Bangladesh cricket board  Cheesy.

Domestic tournament should be strengthen by their respective boards and countries like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan did not start out as wealthy units nor did West Indies as even in the 90s the payment was not that great compared to this generation as they make money with a single match the players from the 90s would not make in the entire series.

The funds should be used to create facilities and the rest of the things of spreading the game and taking the game to every corner should be taken care by their respective boards.

What can the average middle-class person do to protect themselves from food problems?
Will buying more food and storing it solve the problem, or trying to start farming or investing and trying to increase his money to buy food at any price? Or what?
There are only two option, either you store the food for months which is a solution if you are not having enough room to farm your own food but the best possible solution is always growing the food for your family and then store the grains that is required for months. Personally i am having my farm where we grow vegetables and fruits and that is sufficient enough to sustain for a few months.

Congrats to you and SwordsRex in advance. Now next 3 participants are competing for 3rd position.
Congrats to the leaders.

Gujrat is looking fav but i won't count Rajasthan out at any cost. We can expect entertaining game of cricket but man i want close finish for the finals. Would be amazing if we get to see super over, if not then please last ball finish.
I am rooting for Rajasthan Royals to win the finals, simply because of Shane Warne who groomed them in the first season of the IPL and made them the winners and a win here will be a tribute for him and i expect Sanju Samson to perform as well for leaving him out of the upcoming tour Cheesy.
