201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What’s the best coin to buy apart from bitcoin on: December 16, 2019, 04:19:50 PM
I recommend looking through the top 10 altcoins at coinmarketcap. Those are the best altcoins you should buy with BTC. The current market is purifying altcoins and bad altcoins will surely die in the future. So don't risk investing in altcoins outside the top 10 because it can crash and die at any time. Tezos, BNB, XLM, ETH ... these are the best altcoins in my portfolio
actually there is no guarantee that altcoin which is in the top 10 will always be good, there must be a time where one of the list down ranks far from the top 10. and there is also the top 20 looks promising and really good.

just look at the current top 20 there are XLM (rank down to 11), ADA, TRX, XMR, this is a list of good coins that cannot be underestimated. I am the one who would recommend one of these coins to buy and put into a portfolio.

Would be best to look for an active altcoins that have promising upcoming projects and the price is currently at its bottom.  Do not look for overly hyped altcoin since it will only bring you a disaster.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 16, 2019, 03:44:12 PM
Anti-crypto campaigner and perennial Bitcoin basher, Nouriel Roubini, is at it again. But this time around, he’s after Ethereum (ETH). According to a tweet by “Dr. Doom,” Ethereum is still a long way from its “fundamental value” of $0. Just like his previous criticism on Bitcoin, Roubini is certain that in the long run, ETH will hit a $0 price mark.

For some time now, Dr. Doom has been bashing cryptocurrency with his skepticism of several financial markets, including bitcoin.

ETH to zero? In your dreams, hater!!!

There come a time that ETH may be bottoming out within this month, but it would not go down to zero for sure.

Before Virgil Griffith was arrested, he shared to me and the rest of the attendees last January 2019 at the Boracay Blockchain Summit about Ethereum's proof-of-stake and the future developments, and why we should be excited about them in the long run. Same thing with Vitalik Buterin when he talks about Ethereum's bright future at Token 2049 Hongkong.

After the Ethereum supermeetup, he and the other keynote speakers are in an AMA session answering the community's questions related to the project.

For me, I honestly think that we should be excited about Ethereum's long-term future, not focusing on Roubini's hate speech about them, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

To be honest, Nouriel Roubini is nothing but an all-in-one stupid idiot!

I guess this guy is paid to FUD the market.  After criticizing BTC and spreading FUD about it and later found out that he is ineffective towards BTC now is FUD'ing ETH.  I do not know what is in the mind of this guy but he should think that people have their own way of thinking.  Anyone who is well aware of the project and the team behind it will never be affected by his shallow POV.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects that failed to keep their promise in 2019 on: December 16, 2019, 03:16:25 PM
Here are some projects that get listed on exchanges but ignore bounty hunters and airdroppers like they don't exists

1. Sparkpoint
2. Decimated
3. Nestree
4. Sero
Etc.

Any one has a solution to make this stop? if developers can't keep their promises even when they raise fund successful why needing how help to create awareness then?

Stop patronizing these scam projects.  That would be the best move.  If it is possible, we should publish their bad action on the social media and keep tweeting their incompetence towards the bounty hunters.  Or if someone really wanted to put the project down, they can find legal flaws on the project and inform the authority.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance’s IEOs keep Dumping, but why? on: December 16, 2019, 02:54:39 PM
After what Binance has done for past 6 months, this will be no big deal for them!

Indeed, Binance had been accused of manipulating trades of its IEOs.  The pump after the IEO event and dump when the target price is met.  We can see patterns like that on all the altcoin that perform their IEO on Binance.  And of course the first one to refute it is the possible person who is behind those actions.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto/Blockchain hype over? on: December 15, 2019, 02:22:34 PM
With ever-declining prices on the crypto market since 2018, there has been a decline in the number of ICOs and the emergence of new crypto projects within the mainstream world. 2017 was believed to be the golden year of crypto and Blockchain technology as people invested massively across the market. Crypto startups, companies, and businesses have been largely successful since then. Due to the hype, we've seen many projects come up with a Blockchain solution for nearly anything in life. But the truth is that Blockchain is not needed for absolutely everything.

It's today, and there seems to be a decline in crypto interest among people in the mainstream world. The number of crypto startups and companies have been reduced too. Does this mean that the crypto/Blockchain hype is finally over? Or is it still going on?

What are your thoughts? Huh

I think Crypto/Blockchain hype is not yet over.  The market is just relaxing a bit due to the excessive hype last 2017.  Once it bottom and new entries of great project and ideas regarding blockchain tech comes in, we can see another rallies of hype on the market.  We just need to wait a bit and see this hype happening when these so called new sets of ideas comes in.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun’s Weibo Account Has Officially Been Shut Down on: December 15, 2019, 02:01:27 PM

For sure, China will suffer and regret in the future about not embracing Bitcoin, TRON and other cryptocurrencies in the market.

I do not think China will suffer on this action.  As of now cryptocurrency especially TRON has little to no affect on China's economy.  Can you list anything that this TRON done to help China economy boom?  I guess there is none.  Aside from that China is actually embracing blockchain technology and even plan to launch their own cryptocurency and probably that is the reason why they are actively banning any other cryptocurrency.  Though this might be a bad news for those TRON supporter but I think there is nothing to do about it.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold backed coins are real?? on: December 15, 2019, 06:47:05 AM
what do you guys have to say about new projects that are backed by real gold? do you know any project that is legit and backed by real life Gold and not scam? any one have information about PGpay project?

I do not think that there is  really a coins that is backed by gold in 100% ratio.  There is some that claims that they were backed by gold but if you check them,  there is only a certain percentage of the whole supply that is backed by gold and not 100% of the coin supply.  I believe that anyone saying that their coin is backed by gold is lying since we cannot declare that a certain coin is backed by gold when only a small percentage of the supply is backed.
208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Sec regulation making the Bull market slower? on: December 15, 2019, 06:00:05 AM
This is a good news so probably this would somehow result to a good market movement.
I think we need this kind of big news to ignite the bull run which is everyone is longing for, the altcoins market are dying already so we are desperate for some great news.

In the past, the hype for the SEC approval is good but then some applications were denied, majority are still pending, and it seems like investors are already forgetting this but a good news should have a good market result.

Regulation is indeed a good news but it is probably  makes Bull market slower because cash flows is being monitored.  Meaning, any sudden influx of fund on Bitcoin market made by any group may cause or lead to an investigation.  Probably this is the reason (government regulation) why some investors who wanted to pour in fund to Bitcoin illegaly were kept at bay.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really still decentralized?? on: December 15, 2019, 05:33:04 AM
After the years in trading Bitcoin it came more and more clear to me that Bitcoin is technically not decentralized anymore... its mainly owned by huge mining farms or early adopters who are able to manipulate the market at will, many exchanges playing with Bitcoin and Altcoins by making fools out of the normal Joe who wants to enter the Crypto world, i know many here will think that you should be ready and get informed before taking any step into the crypto world, but does it not bother anyone that some people are enriching them self by kicking the crap out of your wallets??

Bitcoin Mining is dead unless you own a mining farm with the necessary hashrate, again only big companies having access to Bitcoin!!!

What is your thought about this??
I still have question about bitcoin being a decentralized system, we all know that bitcoin as a digital cash and it could send bitcoin to anyone using the miners which is the one that process the transaction who owns the blockchain if the transactions were all anonymous there could be someone who maintains the system of the bitcoin or is it just the bitcoin wallet that they need to maintain and just using bitcoin as an assets?

I think the transaction is not anonymous because anyone can trace it on the blockchain.  Though I still believe Bitcoin is still decentralized even though the distribution is not proportional.  Anyone can mine Bitcoin as long as they have good enough hashes to compete on the mining industry.  Anyone can send Bitcoin without anyone interfering it as long as the tx fee is sufficient.  I believe being decentralized and not proportional distribution is two different category.
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more dump before halving? on: November 10, 2019, 02:48:33 PM
There is a speculation roaming around that the value of bitcoin will go down between the range of value 7500 - 8500. So we don't know if that will happen soon but i think it might happen and it might go down until 9k.

And there is a major support holding until 9k so if that will break then it will plummet for sure,

It seems the speculation is somehow correct, BTC is currently at $8300+.  It seems whales are keeping the price down to accumulate more in preparation of the Bitcoin halving hype.  Probably we can see a huge Bitcon price surge after this dump as the halving gets near.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lets think Bitcoin as an investment not payment system, is this right? on: September 19, 2019, 03:24:03 PM
Bobby Lee — co-founder and former CEO of China's first crypto exchange BTCC — says the Chinese have always thought of Bitcoin as an investment rather than a payment system.

Lee made his remarks during an interview for Charlie Shrem’s Untold Stories podcast on Sept. 18.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bobby-lee-chinese-always-saw-bitcoin-as-investment-not-for-payments

- In accordance to what Bobby Lee said, it is indeed that China thought of bitcoin as an investment.
This might be the reason why China was one of the biggest percentage average of having a bitcoin mining farm.
all over the world, What's your view about this thought? Smiley

Most of us thinks that China is against Bitcoin, this article somehow changed my POV.  It is a good thing that China also thinks of Bitcoin in a positive way.  Though it may not be what we think it is, thinking as it is an investment can pave way for Chinese government to fully adopt Bitcoin.
212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigerian crypto educator returns $80k in bitcoin recieve by mistake. on: September 18, 2019, 11:10:59 PM
I agree with your stance OP.  In every country there are people who are good and bad.  Honestly, I believe there are more good one than bad, its that human nature capitalized on the bad action and make a lot of sounds about it, while if someone do good deeds, news is very quiet about it.  Saying Nigerian people are bad is so biased since the person saying it had not interact with all the people of that country.

Anyway, I kudos to the person who returned $80k worth of Bitcoin, it is a lot of money but he has maintained his integrity.  More blessings to you Keith Mali Chung!!
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you want to win big...accept defeat on: August 16, 2019, 09:29:43 PM
Gamblers are never satisfied with their winnings that is why the problems occur. And when they start losing it frustrates them and they think all they need to do is play even more and their problems will be gone. In reality they fall into a pit they never get out of. I understand what Shary means when he says just accept your defeat. Accept that it is not your day and move on. Come back another day and do do things you will regret as soon as you walk away from the table.
He must be talking about accepting defeat after winning for sometime. I just guess so. When a player wins once and the next game loses then he must accept that defeat and move away to not cause more loses. Just like what you’ve said it is very difficult to acquire self discipline in gambling unless the player learns to accept defeat or loss but its not always acceptable to all gamblers. Some are more courageous after consecutive loses which cause them to lose more.
214  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you fund ICOs ? on: August 16, 2019, 09:20:05 PM
One of my friend, who is a good coder too, just sold his car, when I asked regarding that why he sold the car ? I was thinking maybe he want to invest money in bitcoin, but he said that he is not interested in such things, he need money this time, people who invest money in bitcoins or ICOs always get losses, because building a simple project takes many time and a complex project needs research and a lot of money. He said that he is a good coder and thats why he developed a dapp for someone, he spent around 3000 hours, but after completing her project, her client replied after the ICO that she could not raise funds, and the ICO failed. The money she spent on the project has lost. So why you don't support people when you see a ready project or dapp ?
Your friend must have been devastated with what had happened. He sold his car and spend hundreds of hours for the said project and at the end it failed. He could have offered his skills to other developers who could at least pay him in part in ethereum or in bitcoin. Its sad that ICOs nowadays are very unreliable. No wonder why a lot of ICOs are failing because they are losing investors. People don’t want to trust them anymore.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dont stop been a bounty hunter because of present condition on: August 16, 2019, 08:49:04 PM
I’m not generalizing but some bounty hunters here consider bounties to be their source of income and some do not have much choice to choose from so even in times like this they still continue. It’s not unknown to everyone that bounties can be considered a gamble. It takes luck to find a profitable project. Sometimes even if their tokens are already listed in exchanges they still don’t get good value. Sad but this is the truth.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Not a must to promote every bounty projects on: August 16, 2019, 08:33:38 PM
True enough but to promote one project means getting paid from it and we all want to be paid for the services we do, first we would not want to promote fake projects because we know our efforts will be in vain so want only the real one, the problem is we don’t always perceive fake projects. Sometimes even the most supported projects and believed to be true still turn out to be a scam. It just takes luck sometimes and for sure careful study will make us avoid them.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A mobile App for MEW on: August 16, 2019, 08:08:27 PM
They of course have a mobile app for Android and iOS users but to be honest with you, haven't tired it out yet But I use other erc20 apps for managing my portfolio
Yes. They do have in iOS but now you cannot create new wallet in mobile applications, they will suggest you to make it in desktop but still you can access your existing wallet in their mobile application and check your balance or make transactions.
219  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: August 11, 2019, 09:03:00 PM
I would rather name the two the rich and the poor (though not all) or businessman and ordinary man. The first usually don’t spend their money based on impulsion or just because they want to, there must always be objectives for their spending. They spend more on something that would give returns like investments but ordinary people just spend anyhow. As long as it pleases them or they like something even if not needed they will even take loans to be able to buy it. Businessmen are not afraid of risks while ordinary men would not even try because they are already thinking of the risks. Businessmen are more open to possibilities while ordinary people are closing their minds without even trying. (I’m not generalizing here)
220  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Prediction ??? on: August 10, 2019, 09:04:42 PM
Cheesy
