2001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: June 07, 2022, 06:11:11 PM
The game Germany against England is about to start. The last time these teams met was at the European Cup, where England won strongly. England are probably not looking to play well in the Nations League because last time they lost to Hungary, but Germany played much better against Italy. I think the Germans will win today or it will be a draw again.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good time for alts on: June 07, 2022, 04:16:24 PM
If any body take 10% entry then I think it's good but we should hold also some stable coin for crash. Falling some 50% from the top is not a crash in cryptos...It's just a correction...wil consider it crash once these cryptos fall 90% or so....like BTC falling to 7K....this will be a good time to buy
I agree with you that you should always have free funds to be able to buy more coins in case the price continues to fall. But it seems to me that a correction differs from a fall in duration. By the way, a lot of coins have already fallen in price by almost 90%, and some even more. Hi LUNA.
2003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t rush to buy Bitcoin on: June 07, 2022, 09:00:04 AM
I don't really think Bitcoin will rise as quickly as you seem to think, since Bitcoin used to have a reputation of being a hedge against inflation for many people, but when inflation started to rise in many part of the world due to the Ukrainian war and western restrictions against Russia, Bitcoin failed to perform as expected and collapsed.
He didn't say quickly but he said it takes time. Bitcoin is not some kind of a pump and dump coin where it can pump in an instant but it rises slowly but surely, that is if the bear have officially ended. Bitcoin didn't present itself as a hedge at the first place so no bitcoin did not fail. What is sure is btc is a currency but it's only us that can think of many ways to use a btc.

We shouldn't get angry if ever our expectations have not met. Bitcoins value have collapsed but there is still a chance that its value can recover so therefore btc did not lose its reputation as a hedge if that is what you consider it, also or only if the person is patient enough to continue hodling.

Why isn't bitcoin a pump and dump coin? If we look at bitcoin relative to stocks, it is very similar to a pump and dump. It has up and down cycles. Manipulated by exchanges and tweets. So many people have lost money thanks to bitcoin, far more than those who were able to make money from it. Bitcoin is a high-risk asset, so capital is slow to invest in it.
2004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 07, 2022, 07:25:28 AM
Another qualifying match will be UAE against Australia today. The match is very important for both teams because the winner can go to the World Cup. The UAE national team is playing unproductive. In ten matches, the team has only seven goals scored. Australia play more productive football than the UAE and have top league players, unlike the UAE. I think Australia will win today.
2005  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 06, 2022, 12:13:34 PM
May closed poorly, but there is hope that in June we will see a long-awaited bounce. The price is now locked in a tight range and bitcoin needs to break resistance around 35k to get back. Therefore, I expect a bounce this month at least into this range. But if bitcoin fails to recover, the fall will continue to the ATH 2017 area.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 06, 2022, 10:44:21 AM
Wales - Ukraine was great game, unfortunately outcome of it wasn't that I wanted. Yarmolenko mistake which ended with an own goal was huge and it would be difficult to justify it - it's not that case when ball accidentally hits player.
Ukraine had much more moments, but Henessey was like a wall today. Davies also did a lot to not let Ukraine to score.
Congrats to Wales, reach World Cup after so many years is big achievement for them.

I'm also very sorry for Ukraine because they were so close to winning this match and qualifying for the World Cup.
They played really well but this time they were unlucky.
In such uncertain matches usually a small detail or move decides the winner, and Wales again had Bale who played that crucial move that decided the winner.
Bale has saved Wales so many times that they should make a monument to him  Grin
However, I am also glad for Wales to play in the World Cup again after such a long time.

We have to congratulate Wales and especially to Bale for being a hero in bringing Wales to the World Cup.
Wales has this moment because they have been absent from the world cup for 64 years to be able to play in the biggest tournament of football, the world cup. although if we talk about the world cup final the possibility is very small, but playing in this event is certainly an achievement in itself.
Why did Bale bring Wales to the World Cup? I thought it was Ukrainian player Andriy Yarmolenko who did it. But to congratulate him on taking Wales to the World Cup would be foolish. By the way, Wales now have a slim chance of getting out of the group. They need to beat the USA and Iran, or not lose to anyone in the group.
2007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 06, 2022, 06:14:38 AM
I thought to the last minute that Ukraine would win this game and if not for their stupid mistake they would have won for sure. But Wales were lucky in this game. I hope that they will do well in the World Cup because they didn't play a very good game in this one although they have much more experienced players than Ukraine.
2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good for future hold? on: June 05, 2022, 05:47:28 PM
Buying any altcoin now looks questionable, especially not from the top 100 coinmarket. I am not interested in what HEX is, but buying even coins like LTC or DASH can be unprofitable for a long time. No one knows where the bottom is though, so I think buying altcoins now might be more profitable than someone bought them a month ago. This applies to proven coins, definitely not HEX. Cheesy
2009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: June 05, 2022, 04:53:27 PM
Bitcoin is artificially raised and deflated in a narrow range. I think there could be a rebound very soon, because a lot of indicators say so. There were similar situations in 2018 and 2020, now it has been 2 years since the last dump too. The bad news because of the LUNA scam has affected the market negatively. Now it is left to consolidate and the road to the top is open.
More likely though, this is similar to 2018, which is obviously a bear market, so I don't think that we will rebound soon. Just probably in the range of $30k'ish for sometime.

The Luna scam effect has been forgotten in my opinion, yes, lots of investors lost their money, but we've gotten to the point that we have move already from that debacle and no longer has that effect on bitcoin investors. Still the war and the inflation that really put a dent on us.
Indeed it will be more prolonged as a bear market with an immediate recovery it is unlikely but there is some talk from news bitcoin can redeem good prices again after sideways but I'm not sure because this is likely to happen in the next few months as an uncertain market.

Not only that and indeed with the Luna scam, many people are trapped in not being able to recover their assets even though there is an airdrop from Luna v2 that doesn't make them return their capital, maybe they have to start again as the main investment in bitcoin.
I agree that the bear market could last for a few more years, but now we have been down for five months in a row and there is sure to be a bounce. Almost all altcoins in general are at a historical bottom, which have fallen much harder than bitcoin. If bitcoin continues to fall much lower than it is now, it will be a tragedy for all other coins.
2010  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: June 05, 2022, 12:58:47 PM
In addition to the four-year cycles of bitcoin growth, we can also see two-year cycles when the price declined sharply. From recent history, this has happened in 2018, 2020 and 2022. Therefore, if we are not at the bottom now, we will probably reach it soon. And it may take another two years to recover and then a new bull run after the halving will occur.
2011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its time to buy - end of bear market incoming on: June 05, 2022, 11:23:53 AM
Fortunately for us we have been in this market long enough to know this information, but there are many newbies that simply look at the price of one of the coins they wanted to get months ago and now that they see the price is low they think of this as a golden opportunity they cannot let go, however we know the truth, a great deal of the altcoins that experimented a huge drop are never going to recover, and this means that we need to be incredibly cautious when buying the dip when the coins in which we are interested are not within the top 10.
This is true for altcoins, there were quite a few coins that, after their price was quite high, after the bear market, could no longer regain their previous levels. This is the reason why I try not hold for a long time, altcoins in which I do not see much perspective, which I use for speculation. And having a bitter experience, even with those altcoins in which I have more confidence, I am also very careful, because a long hold can lead to the loss of my money.
That's a good point. Altcoins should never be hold for long because those coins you usually hold don't fly to the moon. It's a casino where few people win. Even if you look at the creation date of this thread, many altcoins have lost half their value since that time. That's why you can now buy a lot more coins.
Altcoins have fallen by more than -80% of course Buy Back can be done if you still have capital,
bear market is something that is common in the crypto world, because this is part of the cycle

Even if the fall -80% I still be more careful on what we are seeing right now because we don't know what will happen since there's no contributing factor for us to look up for a bull run. Also as long as the market is unstable and we see some crisis occur maybe this will stop people to hodl but we don't know on what will happen in future so I guess its up for people who have golden balls to figure out if he will became rich if he hodl or not.
I can tell you roughly scenario of what will happen. In the future there will be a bull run and whoever did not buy the coins cheap will buy it expensive, then another bear market will happen and most people will lose money. These cycles work regularly and will not stop until it stops making money for the manipulators.

2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: June 04, 2022, 09:25:16 AM
it is definitely not over. Also, I think the NFT Gaming has a great potential in near future. I am following one blockchain-based NFT game "reptile chronicles". In my opinion, this project will be a profitable and successful. They are making a really good game with deep and unique lore about three clans of reptiles. What do you think about it?

A trend in the market goes on for a few days and then new trends come, causing everyone to focus on the new and the old loses its hype. The market is moving in this system. The current state of the market is much less likely to be a new trend, and even if it does, it will be something different. Why do you think your shared project will do so much? What aspects of a project do you think can give you an idea of the future potential of that project?
there are always projects which stay for a long time, so we will see which of them will stay on market for long this year
I don't think the NFT trend will continue for long. It was rightly said above that the hype changes regularly when new trends emerge. First it was ICOs, then IEOs, IDOs, then it transformed into launchpads. Exactly the same fate will be for defi, gamefi or stepn. The pioneers make money, the rest lose money in the hope that things will recover.
Yes, that seems to be the case because there is no hype that lasts and will be replaced when new trends emerge,
that's more or less the cycle and if we talk about NFT sooner or later it will end if there really isn't an update,
The most important thing is that we will see what will happen in the future
But that does not mean that NFT will disappear as a phenomenon. It is a useful tool for many people, for example musicians or artists who want to have copyright for their works. All I was saying was that the hype will disappear, and with it, the value will very much decrease. Again along the lines of how it was with the ICO.

2015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good time for alts on: June 04, 2022, 06:38:30 AM
When the market is in a downward mood and nobody believes in rising, it is the best time to buy. At least for long term investing you can start buying ecosystem projects now. Even if bitcoin falls to 20k, it will be a good opportunity to buy good coins even cheaper. But now many coins are worth as much as in March 2020.
2016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether (USDT) - Backed by Air and Words on: June 03, 2022, 07:21:10 PM
All this has been known about Tether for a long time, but guys, bitcoin is worth 30k now just because of this stabelcoin. All the recent bull markets started only after Tether turned on the printing press. Bitcoin would not have risen to 69k and would not be worth 30k now if not for Tether. If something like UST happens to Tether, we can forget about cryptocurrencies for a long time. And by the way the question arises - if Tether is a scam and everybody knows about it, why they are not closed by SEC or other authorities yet?
2017  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $25K the bottom? on: June 03, 2022, 06:19:16 PM
This might be correct 'we aint done yet' but before we go lower I'd guess higher first, that attempt failing would aid the ultimate downside.   Thats usually how it works because its not until the buyers give up or sell some even that we have a one sided market that allows for new lows to be discovered relative to this timeline anyhow.
Many people only especially respect a sell off or low that occurs with great turmoil or volume occurring.   A slight gradient suggests too much calm that it would not be trusted by all,  I'd say both are possible bottom prices but the flat bottom means we stay here for possibly this whole year roughly.
If you think globally, the 29k we see now is 2.5 times less than it was at the top, which means bitcoin has already fallen quite a lot. It is probably consolidating now, as it did in May-July 2021, and I am sure it will not continue to do so until the end of the year. When everyone is depressed in the market, it means a reversal is near.

2019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 03, 2022, 11:50:01 AM
I don't think Wales need sanctions because of Ukraine, so they will lose this match. Of course this is humour, but Ukraine will still play in the World Cup. From Great Britain to the World Cup, England is enough, and Ukraine should be helped everywhere and in everything.
2020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 02, 2022, 08:55:13 AM
The truth is that I did not expect such an easy victory for Ukraine, I think nobody expected it.

We'll see how the match against Wales will play out. I wanted Scotland to win but it didn't happen.
Yes, given the fact that Scotland was actually favored by the bookmakers, it seemed like a walk in the park for Ukraine  Cheesy
Wales will be a much harder opponent for Ukraine. The FIFA ranks are: Scotland 39, Ukraine 24 and Wales 18. I think the Wales vs Ukraine game could be the open games that everybody expected from Scotland!
Wales will also lose to Ukraine, just as Scotland lost. It was safe to bet on Ukraine winning this match and the next. By the way, Ukraine won 2 more matches yesterday - U21 against Faroe Islands and U19 against Norway. The total was 3 wins in one day. A great result, isn't it?
