How can I run it with PC instead of controller? Or where can I find an image to flash in rasPi, for example, and run Lightning X6?
One guy offering it without rasPi, so I think how can I deploy another Pi or smth...

well you are not alone. the s-3's are working at kano's ckpool but not here.
My S3 was working here without problems. I just input pool's IPs without "stratum+tcp" if it help...

It would be nice to see a "new chip" in the next boards.
The current release of chip (BM1382) will be at the end of its useful life before the end of december.
judging by it's datasheet it has a lot of unused potential... But maybe the power efficiency is not so good as it can be in next gen chips, as always...

Leave it idle. For every thousand dollars of energy extra used you will earn one cent worth of bitcoin and the denomination of bitcoin will be so small you wont be able to spend it. Regular computer mining bitcoin died a long time ago. Leave it alone.
Why not use these computational power for computations of BOINC projects? Rosetta@home, Test4Theory@home etc...

My bet is on it being a hybrid between S3 and Prisma (AM). Maybe 1.2-1.3 TH for 1-1.1 BTC, hopefully.
With new Avalon4 (1Th for 470 $) it (S5) should be at least not worse than Avalon4...

What is recommended volume of the SD card to use with S2?

Anyone having problem with the display? Its show 0GH and 0º.
They said they were testing it...

I'm in EU and tried mining for couple of days, but it keeps disconnecting all the time Just use solo.ckpool.org.

Oh, yeah, now I see the test. It's OK, my English is not ideal too.

Power efficient?.. Approximately 0.625 W/Gh as I see... 0.52 at best, if this 300+ set will hash at 380 Gh/s consuming 200 Wt... Well, may be... Moreover: "With roughly 20w per board, a loaded controller will clock in at 200w to 300w depending on how fast the individual boards are running and what type of fans are connected as well". Let's think that it will consume 300 Wt and hash at 300 Gh/s... 1 Wt per 1 Gh?.. Where are the real test results?.. Let's compare with AntMiner S4. A set of 7 of your 300Gh sets (to achieve 2.1 Th, because where is the guarantee that it will give constant 380 Gh/s?) costs 1470 EUR and does not include PSU(s) and fans. Let's add to this price a shipping cost... It is curious, but looking not so profitable comparing to S4. At best it looks like S4 in terms of profitability, but...
|
|
|
Very good, but the prices should be even lower for these mining sets to be competitive with modern mining equipment, keeping in mind all inconveniences of your mining sets...
|
|
|
Still not profitable comparing with AntMiner S4 for example... But looks nice.

Там собираются вещи и фиат, но не крипта точно!
Как заметили здесь ранее, потому лишь, что не знают о существовании криптовалют(ы).

Moreover, he says that this miner should be able to work at 3.5-4 Th. And he promise to give to the world a review, but no one knows when he'll keep his promise...

One guy sells for about 2000 USD (appearantly this is the price for one miner already delivered to Russia, so the price in China should be definetely less...) it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=833517.0But what is it? Are there any reviews/tests for these miners somewhere in the Net?.. Maybe I missed something? Any announce?..

Why there is no firmware for C1 at Bitmain's website?..
They don't usually publish the stock firmware, but there as an SD image of it in my 2nd post. One guy found that in user's manual FW looks more fresh (upper image) than in his C1 (lower image):

Why do you need it, Mr. notlist3d?..

If no one could overclock S2 on new firmware, then... Why should we upgrade the firmware? Only because of security issues?..
