2041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance Flips Coinbase, Now Has Highest BTC for Exchanges !! on: July 19, 2022, 04:21:39 AM
I'm not sure how far is the trading volume details on the coinmarketcap is precise. According to the data the difference between Binance and Coinbase is very big. So, Binance leading the race isn't a big thing. Also the features available in Binance is huge and to study those features itself we need to spend few days.

2042  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You should not worry about BTC price action on: July 18, 2022, 11:02:01 PM
The cryptocurrency market is in its development stage. This means the adoption and real-time usage keeps increasing all around. Maybe the countries that have legalized bitcoin usage is very few, but the countries that haven't taken any official decision on cryptocurrency usage is high.

In the coming days more things to happen with the market. Bitcoin that was in its infancy for a long have crawled and now in a situation to walk without support. More investors and corporates try to take control of the market. This should not take place, because such situation will ruin it's real power.
2043  Economy / Economics / Re: Sri Lanka Economic Crisis is Getting Worse on: July 18, 2022, 10:07:37 PM
Sri Lanka have been suffering economic crises for a long. People were protesting against the government for a long, but government didn't hear the voices of the citizens. The government should've taken active measures, but the government kept receiving more aid from neighbouring countries as well as more debts. Atleast this could've been used in the right way. This is were people lost their temper and marched towards the capital. It'll take years for them to get out of the economic crises.
2044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you bothered about what happens to your Bitcoin when you are no more? on: July 18, 2022, 06:24:25 PM
Already there were more threads discussing about the same thing. Maybe going through those threads will get you better information regarding the same. Everything has been filed and it is with my girl. She doesn't know I have kept the recovery seeds secure on her space. Someday when it is required she'll come to know about it. She already knew how to use wallets as well as recover funds.

What happens to the coins after your death ?

2045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallet demand increases in 2022 bear market as exchange scramble on: July 17, 2022, 11:59:41 PM
The Hackers are always finding ways to breach the wallets and take control of the funds. Recently in a thread read about an user losing his funds from trust wallet. Those are connected to the network which makes them easy accessible for the hackers.

We've got different exchanges and different wallets for storing cryptocurrencies. Resembling the real UI of the exchange and wallets there were phising websites. This is the major way through which wallets were taken under control. So, additional precaution need to be taken whenever we enter the wallet. For all these situations hardware wallets can ease the work and give better security for the funds.

Soon some might start creating duplicate trezor/ledger wallets. In all things the additional effort we take will keep our funds secure.
2046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 17, 2022, 11:51:10 PM
Gambling is a personal choice and it really doesn't hurt anyone but the gambler.  It's a simple choice to gamble or not too.  If you are addicted go seek help.  But if you ban it, it will live on illegally putting addicted gamblers in far worse positions getting in debt.  No need for banning it honestly.
It is one's personal choice. Just because something is banned, it doesn't mean people are away from it. People always find a way to use it. This is the reality, and it is always good to have some rehabilitation program and centres availed in every country. Such things can be improved than making a ban over gambling.
2047  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin soon returns to $25K - $30K on: July 17, 2022, 11:47:06 PM
We can't simply find a reason for the growth, but everyone can make predictions. According to me the price of bitcoin suddenly won't move to that zone. The price of ethereum that grew mutual with the bitcoin have increased higher. When price of bitcoin reaches $21k+ the price of ethereum used to go $1200+ Now ethereum have moved $1345+ and this shows the variation over the market happening with bitcoin and altcoins. So, buyers could move towards altcoins in the coming weeks.
2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's faceless identity is the greatest Bitcoin success strategy on: July 17, 2022, 11:33:13 PM
As mentioned in by an user, even the known identities of the altcoin inventors of Litecoin, ethereum weren't arrested or kept under control. So, the same could've happened with Bitcoin inventor. However we can't have the same thoughts for Satoshi same as Vitalik or other inventors. The World have changed out of the innovation, so surely governments will find ways to keep him under control. Upon this, the faceless identity is a big thing with bitcoin growth.
2049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: July 17, 2022, 11:29:03 PM
I don't want myself to be categorised within a specific limits, because my gambling activity varies with time. At times I feel myself to be professional gambler, because my prediction used to be precise as well as have complete control over my gambling activity. The same doesn't happen everytime, so I myself find a different type of gambler who is part of every type mentioned. Cool Cry Roll Eyes
2050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My wallet has Been Hacked. i need your help guyz. on: July 16, 2022, 11:39:53 PM
As in the previous post this had taken place through some person who have got access to the private key. Trust wallet is highly secure against the rest of the non custodial wallets. It is not secure as hardware wallets, because it is connected to the network. Now OP may request support from the Trust wallet team. You may contact support@trustwallet.com
2051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: July 16, 2022, 11:26:01 PM
Utility is the factor that decides the growth of any token. Apart from its utility there are more things happening in the market, but those doesn't contribute to the real growth. As far concerned, these gambling tokens have got its usage on gambling sites. Through this the values were generated. Beyond this there is a need for promotion with which the staking can be made effective. Just tokenising the service isn't gonna generate value.
2052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 16, 2022, 10:57:16 PM

Yes, it does. But on most cases, I don't think there are some certain people who are just going to spend 10 satoshis and call it a day afterwards, it's gotta be more than that. You cannot really be entertained in that amount, any gambler or someone who is seeking entertainment knows that. I know what you're trying to say here, and I get it.
I just hope that there will be more and more people who will be more of a casual gambler rather than seeing these activities as a way to generate income because they are really in the wrong place.
Very few realise this isn't the place to risk to make money. Most of the time users begin with spending few Satoshi for fun, but the winning will make them go for higher amounts. This gets reflected on the lack of self control. Further the race for recovery takes place. This is where a person turns from gambler to an addicted level.
2053  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do we spot the crypto bottom? on: July 16, 2022, 10:48:56 PM
Hi

Been wondering how to tell we have reached the crypto bottom? have we already bottomed out(I personally don't think so im not sure). If we look at the current world financial system - it looks dire. surely this will all have a impact on people investing in crypto and when funds are short, may even withdraw their investment.

Personally, because of the state of the financial system, I cannot see how crypto can become bullish as long as the world economy doesn't show signs of a recovery . I could be wrong though ?

what are your thoughts on this? Is a further crash on the horizon?
The market has not recover yet and crypto prices are still declining. Well, what can we expect from a bearish market than to see everything in the market falling apart. And assume that the whole market will even face future crashes if the bear market remains. But regardless how deep the market right now, still we can’t predict the bottom of this price declining. The crypto market remains unpredictable as it is.
Being unpredictable is one of the good thing out of cryptocurrencies. Very few get used to it at the beginning days of using bitcoin. With time they slowly start to understand how things happen with the market. For now more bearish sentiments are around the market. The same can make the market continue its bearish move along with periodic uptrend in the market.

The bottom and the top price of the cryptocurrencies can be well read by the users who are good in understanding the market movements chart. Learning to understand the charts makes a person good to analyse and understand the bottom and top of the market to some extent.
2054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 16, 2022, 10:39:13 PM
People turn towards superstitious beliefs when they weren't able to make good profit. Once they made good fortune out of gambling, but they weren't able to keep it long. This means they loss what they've earned within a short. This makes them have superstitious beliefs than making themselves have self control over the gambling activities. I usually prefer tricks than superstition.
2055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My old officemate become millionaire on investing on Bitcoin on: July 16, 2022, 06:38:21 PM
More such success stories can be seen around the globe. Very few gets revealed to the common people. Rather than inspiration, what has happened is coincidence. All of the sudden remembering about the investment made years back and making big money is a coincidence out of the potential market.
2056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: July 16, 2022, 04:14:21 AM
if I may choose both, because for me both are assets that can provide benefits in different ways, where btc if it gives profits can be doubled, and gold has a stable value in every investment, there must be advantages and disadvantages of each so we don't need to compare gold and btc to be supported
They both have their pros and cons and the answer to the OP's question is clear - it is a personal choice, an apples and oranges comparison.

I would buy gold when its price goes down and I usually dont sell it because it is something I keep for the long term and will be passing on to my next of kin. Bitcoin is something I buy again when its price is low and sell it regularly when the price goes up so I can recycle the money and use it to buy again, this is apart from the portion of bitcoin I have kept for long term.

Gold is more of an aristocrat in my portfolio while bitcoin is a daily horse just like fiat is.
Agreed, everything have got its pro and cons. Myself give importance to bitcoin more than gold as an investment. This is because of the growth it has attained in a short time period. When it comes to gold the preference is based on the usage access. As bitcoin isn't widely accepted I find gold to be settled as a collateral for loan requirements.

Nowadays there are services provided in exchange of bitcoin as collateral, but I find this to be risky even when it is done through trusted platforms.
2057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 15, 2022, 10:18:18 AM

Both the teams are in good position. Sri Lanka have the home ground advantage. Already in this same ground won the test match by an innings and 39 runs. Chandimal made his 200+ runs in the match. Anyhow this series will be very interesting that we can't easily get into a conclusion on the winning of the team. The betting odds were also close.
It's true they dominated Aus at Galle in 2nd test but they also failed miserably at the very same ground against Australia in 1st match so it's a mixed bag.

Lankans do have have advantage but Pakistan is also familiar with the conditions, they are not alien to subcontinent and i'm sure SL won't introduce any flat wickets so it should be a good series.
Yes, it is mixed bag. Both the teams have performed the best in different matches. As said Sri Lanka and Pakistan are not that away, so there won't be any home ground advantage for Sri Lanka. Pakistan is playing test match after three months interval. Sri Lanka after a stunning win gonna start the series with Pakistan.
2058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 15, 2022, 09:16:53 AM
England vs India 2nd ODI
Congratulations to the England team.Winning today's match is huge for them. India gave a very poor performance in the second ODI match. And in that opportunity, England gave a better win today. England scored 246 runs for 10 wickets in 49 overs to win. And India scored 146 off 38.5 balls. England won by 100 runs.
I didn't think that England will play so much. I thought that England won't win this match.  But what I was thinking was a complete mistake.  I could not have imagined England would play so well.  Anyway, my best wishes to England.

What a turnaround by England in this match. They beat India by 100 runs while in the last match they lost the match by 10 wickets.  This leaves us to the final match which is to be played between these two countries at 17 July in Manchester.
This was one of the worst collapse by the Indian batting team. How strange that Virat Kohli made 16 runs and he was the top scorer in top 4 Indian batsmen.
The initial turnaround happened when Moen Ali started to build partnership and David Willey joined hands. If they haven't scored, then England could've set a target less than 200 runs. Even 246 runs looked an easy target for India. The initial fall of wickets is the major reason for the collapse. From the very beginning Topley dominated the bowling and completely made a turnaround towards England.
2059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In a world of financial oppression Bitcoin is the the only escape route on: July 15, 2022, 04:22:10 AM
The only way?
This may be too much because, in fact, we know how many countries and companies still don't accept Bitcoin. In fact, Bitcoin is still mostly not accepted as currency in many countries. Btw, we may know that bitcoin always has the power and is very big, influenced by many people around the world, globally. But n fact,we are still limited by the country regulation. We can still need to convert BTC to fiat to be able using them for payment. We still need to face the bad news of Bitcoin around the world. And we must also still face the volatility of Bitcoin. But exactly, this is what the special of Bitcoin itself, that is much more worthy again from time to times.
The awareness about Bitcoin is all around, and the real value of bitcoin too is well understood by the common man. Most of the countries haven't regulated the usage of bitcoin, but they're still in the process. Very few countries have officially announced the ban over cryptocurrency usage.

Bitcoin as a payment might gain importance in the long term, because people are well used to technology dependent payments. Every form of transformation have taken place in a short time period. Bitcoin too should've got used, but for some reason it hasn't used much. As an investment it is getting more importance.
2060  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin hit 100k or more in 2022? on: July 14, 2022, 11:02:09 PM
Every bear market serves to be the time period for the market to make itself stronger. This is happening everytime, and in specific the ongoing bearish move is the one that we experiencing after a massive bounce reaching close to $70k. This is considered as a time to accumulate, but there is fear which have made more people liquidate the holdings. $100k probably happens by 2023-2024.
