1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: According To me Ethereum Looks Weak on: January 02, 2023, 11:45:40 PM
if btc sees correction in the future eth will always follow, I think the next correction could still be happening despite the fact that we've going down so significantly already, after all the current circumstance isn't really looking good enough.
though like that, I still consider investing eth such good investments, don't get wavered and doubtful just because the technical analysis shows bad sign meanwhile we all know that it has lost 90% of its price, it will go back up again eventually.
This is how the market used to move. When there is growth with bitcoin, the same will be followed by ethereum. Then the market movements were followed by rest of the altcoins. Investing into ethereum is always right, because it won't let you down. Being into the market it have made a significant developments as well as charity when someone is in need.

Ethereum have got long way to go. What ethereum reached as it's ath is to be broken in the upcoming years.
1362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Problem with mass adoption of Bitcoin on: January 02, 2023, 11:27:42 PM
It is the governments that work against the adoption of bitcoin. There are countries taking adequate measures in favour of bitcoin mass adoption. Last year the countries to top the list favouring bitcoin mass adoption were Brazil, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, El Salvador and Central African Republic. These countries amidst all the opposition and different problems have been working on developing framework to support bitcoin usage. Governments fearing cryptocurrency is the only problem.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 02, 2023, 11:10:31 PM
New Zealand is currently touring Pakistan but the stadiums are empty even in the final two days of the match which is not that great. I expected to see some crowd but that was not the case.
What is the reason behind the lack of public crowd? There may be restrictions on general viewers or there is no presence of spectators due to Test match. As far as I know, few countries in Asia have the highest number of cricket fans. Pakistan is one of them. There must be any number of reasons behind the crowd. If there is no restriction. Hopefully we will be able to see a big crowd at that place when the ODI series starts from Jan 09.
I am a middle aged person and in my early days of cricket watching, I prefer only ODI but now I love test cricket as well. I developed interest in cricket by watching my performance of my national players; when I love my country, I watched only action packed cricket but when I started loving cricket itself, I started watching / following test cricket. All I am trying to say is, test cricket is for different audience who enjoy for temperament kind of skill in cricket.

From every country, there are people who love test cricket for different reasons but the percentage is very low compared to ODI or T20 and I am afraid this percentage may shrink further in coming years due to rise of social media.

Watching test cricket is absolutely a waste of time right now.
No absolutely not in my view, because if you are true cricket supporter you will not called him waste of time and you will not be bored watching test cricket match, in this format player abilities has been examined if they were classy player they will perform because most of the player failed to perform in this format, and it's the real format of Cricket, you mostly know that when cricket start the first and real format for cricket was test format, after the T20 and ODI format introduce in the cricket world.
Very few know the real cricket. The test format cricket shows who is the best cricketer. If have got difference scoring 220 runs in 20 overs and 300 runs in 90 overs. To stand against the bowler is different than go hit, if success it is run if not it is a wicket. Very few understand well and we should not indulge them to follow it.
1364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: January 02, 2023, 11:06:11 PM

  - As a gambler do you use gambling sites to store your coins like what traders are doing on exchanges?

I don't think it is good to have your coins saved in gambling casinos because it has no purpose to put it there, it will not increase in the value because it is not exchange or trade that you want to do with it. You can transfer some coins into the casinos account to playing their games for the purpose of that and nothing on it. You can do transfer of the coin to use for gambling, no need to save it there and casino is centralised.
From the statement i know quit well  and believe, that it's well known and stated year before that funds is not suppose to be keep or save in casino platform or exchange platform, the reason why many people stipulate this, it's because of the casino platforms can possibly shutdown without notification or awareness of anyone, so i believe that people who knows what is obtainable doesn't keep money in any platform.
Agreed, but with gambling service providers it is very rare to see such a situation. In most of the gambling platform shutdown every user were notified and were allowed to make withdrawal befor shitting down. Exchanges in recent months have suffered big due to the flaw from the top authority. Even holding in reputable platforms have turned to be wrong after the FTX Collapse.
1365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcointalk - Where to safely purchase Bitcoin? on: January 02, 2023, 09:26:22 AM
2 - Where can I securely buy BTC from without paying ridiculous fees?

If you are worried about unnecessary fees and really frown upon it, then you should try P2P transactions to buy the Bitcoins. These are comparatively cheaper and when you do P2P transactions, you have multiple payment options to buy Bitcoins. But yes there is a little amount of risk involved in it while buying through P2P transactions. Currently paxful and localbitcoins have the best P2P deals and their escrow service is also good. If you want you can check these awesome marketplace.
P2P buying is the better option. We've got lot many choice available for P2P transaction. Localbitcoins have got lot many traders providing with the best rates in connection to the market price. With Binance there is access for zero fee buying and selling. Maybe OP can try using the feature and further move the funds to self custodial wallet for increased security of the bitcoins bought.

New Zealand team is in good position after deciding to bat first winning the toss. The openers Latham and Convoy have done a great job. As of now the team have scored 119 runs in 30 overs with Latham at 67* and Convoy at 51* which is much needed for now. Probably New Zealand will score 350+ runs at the end of day 1. Tough match for Pakistan.
1367  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: January 02, 2023, 06:21:24 AM
Investing extra money into cryptocurrency is a wise decision, because we don't know how far this lasts in the market. With bitcoin investment the story is different. You've got good amount to invest, going for it is the wise decision than keeping it as fiat or investing into other schemes.

With bitcoin only difficulty is you need to hold and have the patience to experience the growth. Maybe on emergency requirement the market might be at the bottom and one might experience loss while cashing out.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Types Newbies Should know About on: January 01, 2023, 11:56:32 PM
This is really interesting and you really took your time to explain almost everything to us and the newbies as well.
I recently came across a thread talking about parlay betting and to be frank, that was my first time coming across such type of betting and it was last week from this date.
From my little understanding and research, I think despite the higher odd presented by parlay type of betting, I think there are awhole lots of challenges associated with it and I personally wouldn't want to risk anything that will be determined by another seperate game all together.

There is also a type of gambling and sportbetting that allows a player cashout if the game remains just one and the player isn't sure of the outcome of the match.
Isn't that also a type of gambling
Maybe you focus too much on casino games and haven't tried sports betting. That is why it surprises you that there are types of bets like that. Parlay is like a chain of bets or single bets which are being stapled together but this was only risky because you will mostly finish them all and if one of the bets is a loss then you will loss all your entire bet.

It's risky but rewarding at the same time because like you said the odds of it are also high compared to a single bet. Indeed that it's also challenging. This could test your knowledge and skill in sports betting but if you are a noob then it might be better to distance yourself from it for a while and focus on the basics first.
Parlay is really interesting, because it gives the chance of winning big for the same odds on single bet. To make ourselves active in watching a series of matches it is good to go with parlay placing small bet amount. We need to make a lot of learning about the team, players and many other factors to pick the right odd. With Parlay knowing about the rules is must. Recently one of the popular person lost a bet, but the prediction of him was correct. In full time the match was a draw and on overtime the match winning is correct as the prediction. So, these kind of issues can arise if one doesn't have proper knowledge.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BANKMAN-FRIED PANIC GAMBLES TO REPAY DEBT on: January 01, 2023, 11:46:07 PM
Of course, gambling is not a good thing to return that much money, even though I also sometimes win at gambling but the losses I get are far more than what I get from gambling.
especially if you use the user's money (other people) and hope to get the max win so you can pay for the losses of the users in the company.

I think that's too ridiculous for a well-known blockchain project developer, that's how genius SBF's brain is in managing debt payments and solving problems, if so, he will be the butt of ridicule by his friends, and in fact, many do that.
He shouldn't have done it. We don't know, how far this is true. Many people have this behaviour, even I've done it earlier. When we're in a losing streak and we need money to gamble. Some coincidence happened and my friend gave money to keep it with me, and return while he ask. I gambled with the hope of recovering what I've lost earlier. Now I've lost my money and my friends. The same had happened with SBF, but the bet amount is different in a much higher scale  Cheesy
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 01, 2023, 11:41:06 PM
GOAT discussions are waste of time for me, everyone has his own favorite player and that is his GOAT. I am just considering myself lucky that I was watching most of the matches form all three and I don't really care who is the GOAT. I just know that if all three played at the same time I would watch Federer for sure and he is the worst one per most criteria.

Anyway we have a nice road to AO tournament in Adelaide starting today. Not many big names playing tonight but I would love to watch Rune - Nishioka match. Rune made big progress in his game last season but hard is his worst surface while Nishioka is the best on the hard surface. I think this will be much tougher for Rune than bookies predicted. My money is on Nishioka +4.5.
Holger Rune will have the confidence high after the win against Djokovic at the Paris Masters. The odds were in favour of Holger Rune, and this is the first international career these two playing against each other. So, the prediction could go wrong. The surface will surely have its importance and lets see what is the outcome of the match.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the motives that drive you to gamble? on: January 01, 2023, 11:34:12 PM
What about you guys? Do you have any addiction to gambling? What drives you to gamble? Is it the long shot of having a big profit coming in or is gambling simply a way of spending time for you?
I’m an occasional gambler and I just gamble every time I have extra money which I think making money drives me to gamble more, and some times just a way of spending my free time. I consider gambling as for fun only and not so serious about it, I’m not expecting that much as well about making profit I just go with the flow and consider my luck as my basis to avoid any greed and addiction.
Gambling may be fun at first but later it can turn into an addiction. This can often happen unconsciously which is not unusual. I became addicted once a time early in my gambling life. It was difficult for me to come back from that position. But i got success. Actually i gamble regularly but am not addicted. I tried to get various education about gambling. I have been able to change my gambling style with everything i have learned. It often becomes a bit of a problem for newcomers. Gambling can be profitable if managed by acquiring proper knowledge.
Gambling can be profitable if luck favours and managed in the right way. Being a gambling addict needs lot of learning to come out of it. Most of the time gambling addicts were the one who get into gambling without any basic and deposit on watching someone's win. When the same win isn't possible with them, they try for it and loss everything. This is where the addiction begins.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 01, 2023, 11:13:22 PM
But, what will happen is also surely unpredictable because things are changing very quickly in world so many decisions are making mess up like we have in this case as well but most chances things could be improved in near future with Taliban are looking for support which is not coming as they are doing things but as we all now situation is changing in neighbouring country Pakistan hopefully things could be beneficial for India in Afghanistan as well.

India is big country, and now they have ability to lead in Asia as well which is important for the balance of power China is taking few benefits but most chances things could be changed for India as well in Afghanistan, and they will be able to play their positive role in This region which will increase their strategic partnership in Afghanistan, and they will again play their sports in India as well with most chances we will have cricket and soccer in near future.

Obviously, India is one of the largest countries in the world and they do have a really strong manpower base. India has developed into a country that is capable of leading the world in a number of fields. So it is quite easy to understand how and why they are a team that is actually leading the cricket scene at the moment and why and how they are able to do that. In addition to that, the fact that there are so many people living in the country is also one of the reasons why they are able to generate such a high level of revenue. Considering the high level of revenue generation, I think we can say that India is going to dominate the Asian cricket scene for a significant amount of time to come in my opinion.

India stands against most of the developed countries in each and every sector. In sporting activities this is completely low against many countries. Even small countries in the world are good with sporting activities compared to India. This is due to the lack of infrastructure. The government need to give importance and improve the infrastructure for every sports than just focusing on cricket. In recent years change have taken place and maybe in the future India will stand dominant in other sports same as cricket.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing the big multipliers in soccer on: January 01, 2023, 11:08:13 PM
That's a good choice go with singles than a multi. Unfortunately none of the bet have won. These kind of betting used to be very interesting, because we are playing against the odds predicted to win. I've placed similar bets on Tennis matches and I never go with 6 bets at a row. Maximum I bet on two matches. This is just an experience to correct yourself and make better strategies for the next matches.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: January 01, 2023, 03:55:44 PM
Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

*Read the different opinions of people here

I'm just wondering about this story number 2, why the boss dares to tell the apprentice to share 50/50 of what he won in gambling when it has nothing to do with what he is studying here?

Why is the apprentice's boss the one who gives him all his fees or expenses every day of his life? is this his relative? does he owe his boss? because if there is none, it means that the apprentice's boss has no right to share what he won.
The teacher could not control his greed because of the high amount of betting reward. He himself had made sure that his apprentice would agree to pay him half of that amount of money. One hand his moral degradation and on the other he exerted pressure on the apprentices. He has completely neglected his responsibilities on this issue. So the apprentice should leave the place quickly. He will not get proper education from that teacher or advisor.
Anyone will get greedy looking money. The same has happened with the boss. He had tried to use his power to take a portion of the winning from the apprentice. This is completely unfair, but people will stand in favour of the boss as they believe in getting granted for the support. The apprentice wasn't able to take this problem with someone, so it is good to move from the place than staying responsible under the boss.

Back in Dec 2021, many of us had so many hopes when PCB announced this home season.

Finally, it's coming to an end for tests with historical outcomes, not in a good way tho. I hope they end the last match on a high note.

After a decade test series is being hosted in Pakistan. This have given them opportunity to play good cricket in the home ground. However they weren't able to mark a win. Even the recent test match was almost close to losing and the light condition made the match end in a draw. If not the match would've been a win for New Zealand. Though this year isn't that good for Pakistan, we can expect improvement in the upcoming year.
Things will definitely get better and Pakistan performance will improve in next year.  This test series have been hard for Pakistan and their performance was not good. Hopefully this is temporary and Pakistan comes back strong.
Hopefully this next year will be a good year for Pakistan team, because Pakistan performance in this test against new Zealand is fully affected due to the absence of top bowler like Shaheen Afridi, Naseem shah, Haris Rauf,
if they were available the result will be totally change,
Hopefully after recovery of all these fast bowler Pakistan team will get Thier strength and will comeback stronger.
Pakistan is to play against New Zealand for a long. Once after the test series Pakistan is playing ODI matches. Later during the month of April - May ODI and T20 matches are being played in home ground. This will make Pakistan get better over its future series against other teams.
1376  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your takes on revenge gambling? on: January 01, 2023, 03:13:40 PM
Revenge gambling is just an easier way to loss our funds. Maybe 1 in 100 will succeed in it. When we experience loss, it is time to think of what next? By the time it is good to have break. Because these kind of revenge gambling will turn to be a mental illness when there is no success. The life completely turns upside down, because these kind of people will spend beyond their ability.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers that don't understand basic gambling concepts. on: January 01, 2023, 03:02:07 PM
Some persons are accidental gamblers. What I mean is that they started gambling because they watch a friend win a win and decided to try it out. Some of these persons may not know the conventional gambling terms but have their local parlance of such gambling terms. Besides some of them do not care about knowing the strategy as long as they win the money and keep wining the money.  They just do what ever works and keep doing it until it doesn't. Then they change strategy.
Accidental gamblers were the true winners. Myself too experienced it, when I gambled for the first time. For some time period I used to place bets and win. It happened with sports betting and with casino games. Even when bets were placed on unfamiliar sports events I used to win. I didn't stop gambling. Later the loss began and my mind started to go behind recovering the loss.

In all form it is the luck that brings in win, whether you understand the basics of gambling or not is secondary. Strategies give hands to minimise the loss and the same doesn't assure you with win.

1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Types Of Online Casinos To Avoid.. on: December 31, 2022, 02:01:27 PM

although this forum is a very reputable casino but unfortunately people outside the forum don't know about this forum.
so some gamblers out there sometimes gamble at casinos that don't have good reviews or don't have a good reputation and then they get scammed.
even though as an online gambler, before investing in a gambling site that is not yet well-known, he should have done detailed research first. but they ignore that and in the end they are deceived.
This is why a gambler should first make a decision after researching the casino platform. A gambler can lose everything when the hard -earned money is stolen by a scam site. So a gambler should choose a gambling platform after doing a good review. In this case, if a gambler comes in tough with the Bitcointalk forum, it will be very easy for him to select the best casino and gambling platform.
It is true, our forum discussion and the announcement threads give an outline about the gambling platforms. Finally it is the user to choose the best, as we've got more number of gambling sites available. People who aren't part of the forum easily gets trapped. Even the review sites doesn't give clear information about the gambling sites with cryptocurrency acceptance. In most of the review sites it is possible to see unpopular platforms listed at the top. Those reviews seems to be paid ones.
1380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 31, 2022, 01:56:54 PM
If this method is carried out many gamblers will feel pressured even though the government can benefit, then in some countries they really cannot do this because many gamblers have private status and they don't want to be known by other people, and they have certain reasons for this. If the Armenian government implements this law, I'm sure they will have other, more effective goals for those who do gambling, especially the problem of money laundering, of course, a lot of assets will be lost if this is implemented by the government, because all countries have a gambling master who does have such a large asset.
People will look for an alternate way through which they can gamble free without any pressure. The governments want money from the gamblers as well as the gambling platform. To make it out, governments keeps adding more laws as well as more other ways. However it doesn't give effective output as people too are well aware of technology through which they create loopholes to enjoy as the past.
