1161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big businesses, corporations also influence the price of cryptocurrency market. on: February 23, 2023, 10:53:50 PM
Each and every move in bitcoin is out of the demand to the supply mechanism. Sometimes we feel lucky to have control good bounce in the market and the same doesn't last long. Here we need to understand, whoever the influencer or whatever the positive news, the market can be influenced to some margin. Beyond that it is the users who drives the market.

The prime objective of the bitcoin development is to support the financial transactions cross border without limitation and eliminating the third party. In reality the same have got transition as an investment and on different other purpose. When the objective for which this has been developed is fulfilled we'll experience the real market variations than the influencers impact.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how do I keep my private key safe? on: February 23, 2023, 10:47:56 PM
You should under no circumstances store your private key inside your email or any online service. This is probably a more vulnerable approach than just using an online wallet or keeping the coins in a desktop client like electrum.

If you want to store private keys or seed phrases, write them down or print them off and store them in a safe place. Or if you prefer digital storage, encrypt a USB storage device or two with strong passwords that you will remember, store your private keys/seeds on their in encrypted text documents and keep those devices in safe places. This is probably the most ideal and practical solution.
How about the private key being backed by the Google account that use separate password to view the private key. I saw this feature avialed on trust wallet. We were asked to which the wallet private key needs to be backed, manually or to Google. In which we get access to our Google account and there we were requested to create a separate password. Does this serves to be secure.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 23, 2023, 03:26:13 PM
The match will start in around 4 hours from now. The venue is Newlands stadium in Cape Town, which has something for both the batters and bowlers. Australia would be the favorites by a distance, but given the recent form Indians would fancy their chances of getting into the final. News from the Australian camp is that Alyssa Healy is available for selection again, after the injury she suffered during the game against South Africa. India may go with the unchanged XI, or may bring one additional bowler in place of Devika Vaidya.
We might see a couple of changes in the Indian team as there are some reports coming that skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and Pooja Vastrakar are not feeling well. Mandana might lead the team if Harman is out.
Aussie complete squad is full of match winners so in the long run unavailability of 1 player hardly matters to them.
After hearing the news Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian captain, and Pooja Vastrakar won't available then slightly have any chances left unless miracle happens. But, good news is captain Harmanpreet Kaur available, but Pooja Vastrakar remain absent. Even yet, it's highly doubtful that Indian women have any chance. Team Australia appears to be highly capable. At least according to history, the Australian women's team almost unbeatable. Australian ladies are challenging to defeat, but Indian bowlers are looking very aggressive. After winning the toss, Australia will bat first; let's see if Indian bowlers restricted them early.

The match is going on right now. Australia have won the toss and decided to bat first. 9 overs have been played till now. Honestly, I do not think Australia has done well enough in terms of the run rate. They have scored 59 runs in 9 overs. In my opinion, that is a little below average from a team that won the toss and chose to bat first. The best thing is they have only lost one wicket. So if they want they will be able to accelerate in the second half of the innings.

It is difficult for India to chase 172 runs. If they are able to keep wickets and also keep the run ratio at least 10 overs then have the possibility to chase the target run. But the fall of the 3 wickets early in the power play make bad impact and increased the pressure for the batsman. The power play is a big deal at this point. If the run rate can be increased in the first 6 overs, it can be big advantage for India team.
The target is really big to chase. India women can chase if they play responsibly handling the pressure. Till now India women have managed well, and the two strong pillars of India women Harpreet Kaur and Rodrigues on the crease gives the hope of winning the match. India women should not loss anymore wickets and in 60 balls need 80 runs which makes it possible.
1164  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do if bitcoin crash? on: February 22, 2023, 11:59:09 PM
If bitcoin crash today, what will be your fate? Poor or rich. Most people on the platform have submitted all their life savings to bitcoin investment. There was once a man in my area who sold his house to invest in a local platform called BARAZAR in 4 months missive the so-called BARAZAR was shoot down and now he does not have a cottage. So I ask again if bitcoin crashed today what will be your description rich or poor?
First and foremost, bitcoin is not a ponzi scheme through which you can get rich quick. Since most people find it difficult to tell the difference between the two, your mind may be wandering to the point of believing that bitcoin will crash. The annoying part is that people never learn because we are all so desperate and never certified as humans always looking for cheap opportunities.
Agreed, once people had such a thinking. Slowly that had faded away and people have begun to understand the reality of bitcoin and its need. Crash is part of any investment, so we need to keep ourselves prepared to meet the worst. This will keep ourselves on the safer side in all critical circumstances. Apart, better understanding and learning is a must. The wrong understanding too lands people into scam projects and experience loss as we were able to see good number of projects with the name bitcoin added to it.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 22, 2023, 11:57:17 PM
I have seen a report today that in 2022 crypto payments showed an amazing rise. People are really accepting it and giving the value as they are giving to fiat payments.

Are you guys accepting crypto payments for your business?

Where do you see this report or news? Yes bitcoin adoption is increasing but not as fast as we think.

In most places of the world governments are still a hardle and people are not free to accept bitcoin easily in the businesses.
Amidst the lack of regulated support from the government, people have begun to add bitcoin acceptance into their businesses. In particular bitcoin acceptance into the business can be seen much on Nigeria in recent days from the small scale businesses. Western Nations have got more stores accepting bitcoin, here in Nigeria even a roadside fruit vendor accept bitcoin. Similar scenario needs to happen around the world.
1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: February 21, 2023, 11:39:37 PM
Well some 'bullish' news for us xrp hodlers. Ripple is going to plan to expand to the UAE.  Dubai based Joyalukkas Exchange managing director is meeting with Ripple employees to bring cross boarder payments to this part of the world.
Xrp is now past $20 billion marketcap. https://bitcoinist.com/ripple-expands-uae-payments-provider-use-xrp/
20 billion dollars is a huge capitalisation for a project that is hardly used anywhere. Ripple regularly announces some kind of partnership and cross-border payments, but in reality I have not yet heard of any successful outcome of such payments. But I also think that if ripple is consistently in the top 10 coinmarketcap, it's probably for a reason.
Often we were able to see good partnering with different ventures. In specific most of the partnering were with the financial service providers. We don't know how this is getting used, because it is their internal thing. As per the information available on the internet I was able to understand that the ripple network is being used by the large financial institutions for transaction needs. As said being on the top 10 of coinmarketcap isn't possible without reason. That itself enough to give us the understanding that XRP is a potential project amidst the critics and its centralised stature.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Do Gamblers Do This? on: February 21, 2023, 11:22:45 PM
Maybe most of them are trying to chase to win it back, and they will be very tempted to bet bigger to make up for their losses. And it's less likely to succeed, but sometimes and often, most will end up losing even more.
Always bet what is recommended to gamble with money that you can afford to lose, and stop gambling when you have a big loss and never continue playing just to chase losses because it will only make you worse off. And gambling or casinos are designed for that, so we have to control it ourselves.
When a gambler starts to loss, the thought of having the same balance where he started to gamble triggers to continue the wager. At such situations, users mostly keep their wager continue and some gets lucky whereas the majority end up losing. The important thing, one should not get emotional when he's losing. Just taking a break will let the gamblers stay on the safer side than connecting emotionally.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 21, 2023, 11:15:17 PM
ICC Women T20 World Cup 20th Match Group A  Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team vs South Africa Women's Cricket Team. In this match as well, Bangladesh women's cricket team has come under criticism after losing by a huge margin to South Africa women's cricket team. Failure of Bangladesh Women's Cricket Team, they did not win a single match from Group A team. It is disappointing for Bangladesh fans. I think Bangladesh women cricket team should rethink
When a team represent a nation, criticism needs to be taken as a learning. When criticism come, the team players will realise and try to motivate themselves. In my understanding countries that lacks infrastructure for the women's team have experienced loss than the teams having the best access to keep them good with their play. Maybe after this the Bangladesh board will give importance to the Women's team same as that of the mens cricket team.
1169  Economy / Gambling / Re: Diamond 5 Stake, account was hacked on: February 21, 2023, 11:09:17 PM
As in the previous post add a warning sign along with the phising site link. Someone might click the link and they might also end up losing. Big loss and reaching Diamond 5 level is not an easy thing and all his efforts busted within seconds. The tricks these scammers play is really out of our thoughts, because the link looks same as what is being provided to claim bonus. With this incident everyone will be careful while clicking any of the links received.
1170  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people really having the wrong concept of savings? on: February 21, 2023, 10:59:16 PM
Google will have the data gathered out of different people. For some the savings might be an untouched fund with regular allocation from their earning for their future generation. They'll have separate fund for emergency and miscellaneous needs. Some people have the savings to meet unexpected needs as we don't know what happens tomorrow. Even now savings is the only thing that gives hand to the bottom level people who doesn't prefer investing thinking of the risk.

Whether the money saved is used or kept even after their death need not be bothered, as the plans vary between people and situations.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tournament gave 25 bitcoins as prize to last places on: February 21, 2023, 10:53:21 PM
This shows how bitcoin have grown over the years from the scratch. When we introduce bitcoin or when someone wants to learn about bitcoin these threads will help. Particularly for the users who find the volatility of bitcoin big issue. It makes me get goosebumps, because if the first prize winners have kept hold of their winnings it would've turned $10 whereas the last position winners could've turned millionaires if they've kept hold of the winnings. Now we've just one bitcoin worth of prize on special promotions, what a pity  Cheesy
1172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: February 20, 2023, 11:53:52 PM
If you trust yourself you can trust bitcoin. Each and everyone could've experienced life difficulties and reached great heights. Some might be struggling to achieve something and some will be striving hard to help the people in need. This is how bitcoin is, it had overcome different levels of growth and opposition and now standing strong as the market leader. So, you believe yourself is believing in bitcoin.
1173  Economy / Economics / Re: Untouchable Savings: Do you have it? on: February 20, 2023, 11:51:28 PM
My story is rather uninteresting, but let me know yours. Does this idea also apply to you? You could have the money to buy a new car to replace your old and broken one but you prefer not to touch it. Do you hold yourself from spending what you have to the point of depriving yourself of what you deserve? Do you keep significant savings for occasions that might only happen in your imagination? Or at what point would you allow yourself to be drained of your last penny?

I save for the future, but if the reason comes over life or death like emergency, then sure, I will use my savings. We only live once, right? And we save for our future. Then what's the meaning of saving if that future is at risk? But I won't spend my savings on luxury things. If something is working for me just fine, then why replace or change it in the first place?
So for me, Emergency situations - I will spend it.
Something in order to show off or get something better - No, not a chance. I will work for that till I can afford it, but not with my savings money.
True words, we live only once. What we have earned and saved couldn't help in our need. Then what for is the savings and earnings. At the time of emergency the untouchable fund gets utilised. I don't know how I'm moving forward, because I don't have any savings to meet up unexpected emergency situation. Somehow things were getting managed with what I earn.

Looking upon different threads on savings and investment I prefer to allocate something aside for savings, but I wasn't able to do it. Hope I'll build my saving ability then onwards. According to me everyone should know and have something as savings.
1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Rank positions on CMC changes every bull market? on: February 20, 2023, 11:45:50 PM
Not understanding the value of marketcaps is something many newbies do. Like they take a look at the price of one thing and imagine what would happen if it was 1 dollar per coin and think 1 dollar is small but not realize marketcap would be over 50 trillion dollars if it were to happen, so it's a stupid consideration.

I believe that when people realize this, they will go into top parts of CMC and that is why it changes, because they stop worrying about the price, and many focus on the high priced things and why they still matter and start putting their money back into those instead of the shitcoins they are holding, and that makes the top 10 change.
People never take into consideration the marketcap which is the major factor of any cryptocurrency. Coinmarketcap doesn't have anything to do with the marketcap and the ranks. People need to understand marketcap and they'll realise ranking is nothing.

Again liquidity of the coins too need to be understood, people who doesn't think of marketcap just buy and wait for the big move. Nothing happens in favour of their prediction and when they go for selling the coin doesn't have liquidity, which too needs to be learnt.
1175  Economy / Economics / Re: To cut financial ties with original family benefits you in the long run on: February 20, 2023, 11:14:10 PM
I think this is almost a self-realization.  Obviously as you get older - Parents get older.  I see some friends who have formed the habit of relying on their Parents whenever financial difficulties even though it is a small amount.  At the very least, each person has to find the positive, motivate themselves to change their dependence on their own conditions.  When you have a family, that angle is even bigger.  Being independent is a good way to get motivated, hard work.  change yourself every day.  After all, I think when I separate myself from my parents' financial dependence/dependence, that's a good thing, I'm not sure in all other people's circumstances, but for me, I figured  early independence.
Agreed, it is our responsibility to keep ourselves independent in finance. When we want to do what we prefer after certain age, but looking for the money from the parents for the same is unfair. At some circumstances requesting parents for help is quite Ok, but the same shouldn't continue forever. Inheriting what belongs to them after their life is our sole right. Before that depending on them for financial needs is kind of downgrading ourselves. As suggested, we need to make ourselves motivated and move on facing the challenges.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of holding Bitcoin in time of crisis on: February 20, 2023, 11:08:58 PM
Bitcoin market have begun to have closer connection with the traditional market. This means, cryptomarket have begun to coexist with traditional banks and other forms of financial services. This have made bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have dependence over the traditional market. At time the cryptomarket too moves on the bullish side when the traditional market is good and drops down when the market is not in a better position. During the time of crisis people will be in need for money and by that time patience won't give hands, so it depends on how the market at that time. We can't be calculative whether the market is advantageous or not.
1177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 20, 2023, 10:42:15 PM
I was also saying the same thing the Namibian batsmen had both enough time and the bowl but they did not control themselves and got out while taking long shots. Yes you can say it is lack of experience because this place is where the experienced know what kind of shot to take Also, Scotland's good performance must be said, they also put the Namibian batsmen under such pressure with occasional dot balls that they mentally went crazy for long shots.
It is the lack of experience. From the beginning they were making good score, but the wicket fall continued. They maintained the runrate required to win the match. There were more than 10 overs left to score 43 runs. The experienced hands would've handled the situation in a different way. Namibia need to take this as a learning and make changes with their plans. Scotland bowlers executed well at the right time taking few wickets. In specific Mark Watt had an awesome bowling spell with 4 wickets for 41 runs with 2 maiden overs.
1178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Give it a break. on: February 20, 2023, 10:34:30 PM
Not every prefer to take a break when they're in the winning/losing stream. When a gambler is in his winning streak he/she will look to continue his wager believing in luck to continue. This is common and the same might happen or turn towards loss. While a person is on his losing streak his loss tempts him to continue the wager to recover what he have lost. So, it is upto the user and the wagering scenario.  In my experience taking a break unlike the winning/losing is good for a better gambling experience.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 20, 2023, 10:30:16 PM
Coinmarketcap have got their own protocol to add a coin/token to the list. When the required were fulfilled automatically they were added to the list and this doesn't affect them in any means. They're just providing details on available coin/tokens in the market. It is our responsibility to analyse through all possible channels and decide whether to invest or not. At any point coinmarketcap doesn't give suggestions to go with respective coins/tokens.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the future of bitcoin without powerful nations? on: February 20, 2023, 10:26:30 PM
Powerful nations have contributed good to the growth of bitcoin. In specific I've experienced the participation of China in the recent years and later it went for a complete ban which is unexpected. The goodness depends on the users, amidst all the negative incidents that had happened out of the powerful nations we were able to see good progress in the cryptomarket. So, it is not about the powerful nations, but the people who decides the market. Powerful nations could help with the mass adoption which can make a wider market for bitcoin.
