I don’t think anyone wants or expects bitcoin to replace fiat and become a world currency. I see it like an alternative and better means of payment. Bitcoin is unique and not In competition any means of payment(fiat).
Perhaps, it’s the uniqueness of bitcoin that gets people fazed and then thoughts about bitcoin taking over fiat begin to materialize in their heads.

Obviously, Bitcoin wasn't created to replace the use of fiat nor will become a world currency and bitcoin is not in competition with the fiats, in fact, it's the other way around as the fiats that are backed by the governments are the ones who sees the bitcoin as their competitor because it's been already widely used and been praised by a lot of people around the world especially investors. As in the quote bitcoin wasn't innovated to end the usage of fiat system and take its position. Bitcoin was found to be better than the fiat system in all aspects. This makes the traditional currency to create opposition against the usage of bitcoin. This is why we come to see news about different countries and it's governments standing against the usage of bitcoin. Slowly the countries that were against the usage of bitcoin have come with the plan of accepting the usage. Some country have legalized it whereas few have regulated the usage. Bitcoin is already an universal currency for the reason of getting converted to any currency with ease. I still cannot digest Spain went home the way it did.
I actually gave my vote in this thread about seeing Spain the finals... So many teams I thought they would over-perform are gone now, among all the alleged scandals, etc. This world cup is being quite unpredictable.
I wasn't surprised by Spain's exit, but not at this point in the round of 16. Despite some slight modifications to their squad, they still have a powerful team to reckon with and go further than this in the World Cup. Let me just wish them success next time, although they did their best to advance far than this in this World Cup. Unpredictable events are one of the things that keep football fans throughout the world interested in the game. What a shock to see Spain leaving so soon! My expectation of cryptocurrency in general and btc in particular is - it will continue to exist despite the economic instability the whole world is currently passing through. Particularly btc which is the backbone of every other crypto in the market will always stay strong, there is no other asset like btc so why won't it survive. This type of question mostly comes up during the bear season, and the answer is always the same, btc will be fine, i can't say much about the alts because most of those projects are based on a false foundation that will eventually collapse someday.
So btc should always be the main option and most importantly, have a long term goal for a proper reward.
Expectations will always be there for Bitcoin especially for long term. Many are hoping that Bitcoin can finally reverse its current trend and go back to the bull market, many are expecting this to happen early next year. Other altcoins will surely follow and that is Bitcoin leads the whole market. BTC should really be the best option for long term, but its advisable to diversify so its good as well to have some altcoins. Even if this s true we still nee to be careful, when it comes to the markets our timing is really important, while investing in bitcoin is a good idea some traders may then think that it is a good idea to invest in altcoins as well, but this is not correct, there are many altcoins which have yet to disappear during this bear market, so it is important to stay away from them and only invest in them if the bull run is already underway. Big number of altcoins are getting delisted from Exchanges regularly. We need to be careful handling altcoin investment. Whenever we invest, we make the mistake of expecting the profit within specific time period. We don't have the patience and this mostly lands people into altcoins that pump and dump. The two tried hard to get the golden goal to finish the match, but it seems that the winner will be determined based on the penalty result because there are no potential attacks to score goals from both teams, the penalty result is very tense because the two only focus on scoring goals to win the team to advance in the next match . Both teams were so exhausted the whole extra time we didn't see any real chances to score but two shots from each side. Were the Japanese player's shot got stopped by the Croatian goal keeper and the Croatian player's shot were missed. We are going to see the furst penalties on this cup as well. Totally agree that CBDCs won't save weak currencies. Fiat 2.0, I mean CBDCs, can't solve for the unlimited printing press of some of these currencies. These currencies will be devalued due to their inflationary nature.
Yes it has the same connotations with paper money only that it printing cost is reduced from fiat but the country's economic activities and government policies will affect it like fiat too. If fiat is being devalued then it affects CBDC of the country and they sell at the same price. The value in price should be the same for both. Yeah, the printing cost have been cut.
