2061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Can Seriously Diminish The Quality Of Your Life. on: February 10, 2020, 07:41:57 PM
every addiction can make our life miserable mate and that is already given, there are too many news and happenings where a gambling addict murder others, cut off his own life, leave His family to starve, and many more.
That's what the OP has mentioned although it is old thread being bumped by someone who felt they should share their own story and while I am not a fan of bumping old threads but this thread is actually worth bumping as more and more gamblers who are slowly falling in trap of gambling will find help from the mentioned facts in the OP.

like other addiction like Alcohol, womanizer, smoking and others will bring our life to nothing but hatreds.
I must say gambling addiction has to be among the top 5 most dangerous addictions because unlike other addictions it does not affect you physically and you feel like you are doing good and your family would never notice any difference but gambling addiction actually destroys you internally and you go through a sea of emotions and obviously hurts you financially as well.
2062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: February 10, 2020, 06:58:54 PM
And you guys don't think there aren't controversies on many sports? Mostly I am into DOTA2 betting. DOTA2 keeps breaking records yearly and its stake are even bigger than many other sports. I'd been a follower of many sports thru the years, especially during my early 20s. Boxing, basketball, soccer, mma and many more. I can say both are nearly the same. There are far more controversies on sports than e-sports I can say. Both have the same consequences if in case of losses. You think a bad NBA team cannot win against power house teams? You think Juventus can't lose to Verona? This is a very complicated issue and this won't end. So I would rather stop comparing them.
Controversies have always been there and in fact I remember there was a big controversy where some players were actually mining bitcoins in their PC that they were supposed to play games Grin Grin.

Now coming back to point, I am huge follower of League of Legends and my personal favorite of all time is - Faker the movement god!

E-sports to me has a huge future because the audience is already incredible in countries like Korea and China and it just needs more attention globally. Anyone who does not watch e-sports all I can say is that you are missing some serious fun.
2063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 10, 2020, 06:01:43 PM
He was seriously as guarded as possible. I mean look at PJ Tucker and Harden, they were literally on him when he was shooting, even moving him mid air when they collided but it went in so I guess it wasn't really a foul. The only minor thing was maybe PJ Tucker shouldn't have swiped near but just stand in front but it was still an amazing defense, he just scored without really caring about defense since he had to either shoot or lose so he shot without caring about defense.
2064  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Break away from gambling. on: February 10, 2020, 03:34:24 PM
I agree and I think that determination is key in anything you want to achieve.Even in such a difficult case when someone addicted to gambling want to quit the main factor for me is determination. The problem though is very few people have it and many lack it.If you want something really bad you will get it eventually while doing all the required work for it.
Your determination will not help where luck is the primary key in deciding your success. I mean you might be having all the determination about achieving big things in gambling but that may help only up to the level of continuing your gambling but not in the final out come of gambling.

I believe same attitude of determination is required while thinking about stopping gambling on the both case of temporary and permanently. I mean strong determination is required for stopping gambling as well.
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: February 10, 2020, 02:53:28 PM
I consider that having the discipline and controlling ourselves are the things that we need to have. Without these things, gambling can be addicting, and it is hard to escape from gambling if we don't have a strong mind. If we can prevent from addicting, that would be the benefit for you because you don't have to spend all the money on gambling.
All the controls and discipline you have mentioned for a gambler to have will definitely help them to realize what is there in gambling like whether to continue or not. I mean if you have control on your gambling then you may not continue it when you are facing frequent losses. Gamblers must take time to analyze why they gamble. If they find it is good for their heath and funds then they continue. But, I doubt how many gamblers are doing self analysis once in a while.

I also a gambler, but I know how to treat gambling, and I don't want to become addicted to gambling.
How long you are a gambler. I ask this because no gambler may know themselves as an addicted or not. They do think themselves that they are not addicted to gambling but the way how they gamble and how often they gamble will show that they are actually addicted or not.
2066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 10, 2020, 02:33:57 PM
My answer to the question is I can easily stop when I am winning because I am afraid I might end up with nothing since I know to myself that I am not yet consistent enough to win in gambling, however, based on my experience, I can't easily stop when I am losing despite the fact that I already set up a limit to gamble in a certain day or a certain session.
If you are too conscious not to lose much then you opt to stop right after a winning but most gambler may overcomes such factor of fear as their greedy emotion will be stronger than the fear factor. I am also thinking about to wrap up for a day after winning but I go continuing as I do not want to miss out my lucky day without a big win.

Stopping after a loss is not an optional most of the times as I am enforced to quit as there will be no bankroll left after a big bust during my martingale attempts. Also, I never go back with new funds to try recovering my loses. I may start gambling again after a break only.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Bustabit) How often do long streaks of red come? on: February 10, 2020, 01:52:30 PM
I can't understand what do you mean exactly, streaks of red when? Anything above 1.00 is green (1.01 is already profit) and I have never seen 1.00 (immediate crush) to be shown in a row for 15 times and higher, haven't even seen it 2-3 times in a row personally. Will be glad if you make your question more detailed. If you are going to build some strategy, look at bustabit's Leaderboard and check profiles of users you would love to see and there you'll see statistics of them, how much they bet, when, what was the result and etc.
Good luck but in overall strategy isn't very beneficial, luck is luck. You can't get luck by strategy but you can get it by accident.
I was reading through and was wondering the same and you probably said almost what I would. I would just like to add the fact that if you are talking about loosing streak on a expected cashout at 2.00 odds then I can tell you that you may even have bigger streaks than 15 because it's similar to dice and I have seen streaks of 13-14 often at primedice and had a streak of 9 myself not so long ago.

For years, people are researching about how to overcome the continuous losing streaks and unfortunately no one is coming up with any possible solution. It shows, it cannot have any solution but it is the solution for houses to beat us when try to beat them through martingale.
2068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 10, 2020, 06:32:54 AM
Bitcoins have seriously played an important role in my life at the time when I was struggling financially.
Indeed as it does for a lot of people.

For me bitcoin never helped me financially initially too much but certainly helped me in long term as I was lured into various altcoins and I will not lie that I made some handsome profit too with initial investments in alts. Now a days most of them are thrash I know but earlier it used to be very good the market as a whole.

I consider myself lucky enough to get into bitcoin early enough that I was one of the early adopters into altcoins.
2069  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: February 09, 2020, 03:49:41 AM
Okay maybe I am just an idiot, so please excuse my lack of understanding simple English written rules Cheesy. But, I wanted to ask some vital stuff about this before I go into betting and testing for the future ones myself. I am not a big sportsbook guy in the "very detailed bets" type of dude, I gamble on regular money line wins instead of playing like "who will win the coin toss" type of every single thing.

Reading the requirements on stakes forum, it says "place a multi bet on these matches", what does stake mean when they say "multi bet", is it playing multiple bets on the same game, or is it playing multiple games from that list? What does it mean basically? It also says "you can't cash out bets" which I assume there is an option of cashing out while game is on the way afaik, just warns us not to use that. Rest is pretty easily understandable and no issues. If anyone could clear these two parts, I would love to participate in the future.
2070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: February 08, 2020, 09:16:47 AM
You can't expect the same level of returns now, as Bitcoin market is more mature and is already having a market capitalization of close to $180 billion.
You summed up the current market situation perfectly and that is the reason why investors are not so successful now a days because they still want to see bitcoin going up by 20%-30% every week.

it is already having a large baseline value, it is not realistic to expect Bitcoin to give the same sort of returns that it gave in 2013-15 period.
True again but I actually still believe that anyone who invest in bitcoins even today will be in much more profit than any other business if they can hold (or as we call it HODL) their coins for another 3-4 years because when bitcoin was introduced the value was considered in bitcoins. As time went on, mBTC was given the respect that earlier was given to BTC and in coming time, I am quite sure uBTC or even satoshi would be the equivalent valuable unit.
2071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 08, 2020, 08:18:19 AM
It is a fundamental question!
By studying bitcoin I think I have revealed how scams are going on in the real world at all levels: scams that are well marshalled through regime propaganda through school, politics and religion and that are repeated by people around us, like parrots.
Ultimately, I learned a lot more about what it really takes in these two years than in 5 years of high school.
Yes for me too bitcoin made me realize how it was possible for hackers to demand ransom from clients after cracking up their system. Its not that bitcoin is at fault if it is being used for wrong purposes, I am just saying that now I am much more knowledgeable about how decentralization works.

Moreover if you ask me how bitcoin has changed my life, well it certainly has because earlier I was someone more into physical life I mean I was more involved with people around me and now I am someone who keeps learning but online and gets to learn new methods about earning. My life has changed from an idle offline person to an active online user.
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why are exchanges still listing shitcoins? on: February 08, 2020, 07:03:01 AM
Because they are getting their listing fee so they aren't interested in researching about the project.
Exactly as many of the ICOs also target such exchanges because no matter what your coin is about, if you can pay their fees they will list you. I remember a few exchanges listed Flux coin which actually was a total flop and investors lost their money I believe.

That's why there is a huge gap between reputed exchanges and new/regular exchanges as the reputed ones would never take money and list just any coin.

But that said sometimes these small exchanges do help because a new exchange cannot get listed on Binance directly and need some hike from small exchanges first.
2073  Economy / Economics / Re: INFLATION IN THE UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES on: February 07, 2020, 08:17:51 PM
You don't have to be a self-sufficient country but at the same time when you eliminate the corruption in the politics you could literally make ANY country in the world get better as well. I am not talking about something magical here, think about all the corruption and all the bad management by the politicians and remove them out of the question and you have a nation that is instantly better, how could a nation be any worse when you remove corruption?

It is impossible. With all of that gone and with more money and taxes used more properly you could definitely start to invest into farmers, than invest into factories that could use those farm products and start to sell to other nations. That is not being a self-sufficient country, you could still buy stuff from other nations but at least you will be in less of a debt.

Look at Germany, they have excess amount instead of a nation debt in the past 2 years. That is what nations should be aiming at, which is not impossible. Not being self-sufficient, but try to have less debt by removing corruption and using it for betterment.
2074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: process vs outcome on: February 07, 2020, 03:08:07 PM
I'm open to both the process and the outcome of a gamble as it happens. The process ends up being exciting especially for betting, usually with esports for me, as I often watch CS:GO matches and I enjoy the process of analyzing and determining the potential winners of a match and various other details. I do suppose with other less involved gambles it's not as important as the outcome, though ultimately in gambling the outcome can be the best part.
Yes, it really depends on the game we are playing or how does the person handle his game. Some of us want to determine the process of the game carefully, for us to have the right prediction of the winners and everything, some of us is on the outcomes or the price that we can get when we won, or when lose, it is just a playing safe move for me. So I'd rather choose the process over the outcome.
For me gambling is all about process as I am a sports betting fan and I have to analyse various charts such as the last performances of the teams/players and there are several other aspects like the injury, current form and recent head to head. So whenever I am doing gambling I am very much involved as any sports betting guy would agree with me that at times we get charged up when our team is doing good.

I remember recently I made a over 2.5 goals bet on an event and there was no goals until 70-72 minutes and I was very tensed and ended up winning as the final result was closed down as 2-1 so yeah I am personally very much involved with the process rather than just the outcome.
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: February 07, 2020, 08:36:28 AM
You’re right, Ethereum Blockchain has given people the opportunity to just start up any project they want without plans at all. Even scammers are now misusing because it makes things easier for them and they can just start up as many projects as much as they want and use it to scam lots of people. Such a situation has discouraged a lot of people from participating in new projects and people now sees ICO as a scam because scammers have made it seem that’s how it is, which is very bad.

I don’t know how this problem will be solved, but it is up to investors to be smart and avoid bad projects.
2076  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries with banks to buy and sell cryptocurrencies on: February 04, 2020, 06:05:08 PM
Banks in Germany started to allow people to buy and sell cryptocurrencies this January 2020. I think other countries will do the same soon, Japan might be another country with such services. In the beginning, someone has to start something so others can follow suit.

What are the other countries where anyone legally can buy/sell cryptos at commercial centralized banks?
Yes you’re right. I have read news about it that they will soon start selling cryptocurrency to people. But I don’t know if they have started offering cryptocurrency for sale. According to the news there have been some who are against the idea. I am looking forward to other countries doing the same, they should start allowing people to buy and sell cryptocurrency using banks, that will be really cool and will help in the adoption.

Although before this time, I have seen a lot of e-banking platforms that have been allowing people to make use of cryptocurrency and even buy and sell it at anytime. Banks such as Wirex, located in the UK, has been doing that for long.
2077  Economy / Economics / Re: New York City Stores Must Accept Cash Council Says on: February 04, 2020, 03:38:50 PM
It is actually alright that cash has to be accepted, but we need more options, cash is fine, credit cards and debit cards are fine, back in the day there was check (or cheque, don't know how people write it, but that piece of paper you write money and give to others to withdraw), nowadays we have to actually improve that number and add in crypto to that as well, I know there can't be a law that says "you have to accept bitcoin" because it is both new and governments really don't really care about the bitcoins situation but in order for adoption to increase there needs to be some sort of incentive as well.

Why would a shop that is forced to accept cash would just feel like they should offer option of bitcoin if they don't know what bitcoin is properly? We need to increase bitcoin as an option and not focus on diminishing dollar.
Actually the globe is getting digital. Cash payments are traditional means of payments but now, they are been overruled by several online applications which of course are centralized and gives the ease to the customer to pay with just a few clicks. PayPal might be the one of those digital platforms which have made payments easier.

Use of such digital wallets should first dominate the markets and after this era, we could start implying crypto payments into the monetary systems as people would come to know that being digital in terms of sending and receiving payments can actually be easier and beneficial. Let the world first experience this with the centralized digital wallets.
2078  Economy / Economics / Re: Centralized exchanges have become the banks of the cryptocurrency world on: February 04, 2020, 01:41:45 PM
It's really about time that one decentralized exchange lead the way for this battle against these centralized exchange, they are the one who made the most profit in this industry, look at the number of ICO based exchange they are growing and looking to get a slice of the market, Binance has become an imposing monster in the community with their huge fee.

It's up to users to migrate, however from what I've seen so far nothing out there really cuts it other than Bisq and no one is using that either.

It needs to be properly decentralised for starters - ie not tied to a domain name or hosting as that can be hijacked.

As we've seen time and again most people want to centralise for the sake of convenience and hand holding. The ones who want to shun it are noble outliers.
What people might care about is their security and assurity that their funds would not be stolen or hacked. There are a number of exchanges out there but not each of them is secure to transact. There are only few exchanges which offers us complete security which are chosen by the people.

Most of the people would not even care if it is a CEX or a DEX if the exchange is giving them benefits, they would join in. What people needs is benefits. They are with trading only because they need to earn a decent amount of money and hence they would only go for exchanges which might show them unique but best features.
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH, BNB, NGR, XRP, LTC ,Eos, Neo,MKR And BCH Price What Do You Think This Year? on: February 04, 2020, 08:46:00 AM
ETH , BNB, NGR, XRP, LTC and BCH are the best altcoins in this market, so there's no reason not to invest in it. If you are a smart investor in this market, you should own as much ETH , BNB, NGR, XRP, LTC and BCH as possible because the current price is very cheap and you will make a lot of profit in the future. And besides, you should stay away from Bitcoin Fork and BitcoinSV as far as possible because this is a shitcoin and you will lose all if you invest in it.

ETH, BNB, NGR, XRP, LTC , Eos, Neo,MKR And BCH Price What Do You Think This Year? Comment Velow.............
A dump might be approaching which might make a lot of investors to wait before they could buy the above mentioned coins but yes, holding these coins would be highly profitable because in few coming months, their prices would rise up at least by 10% giving us excess profits. Even some of these coins already have been experiencing some minor pumps which would end up in a major pump after the halving.

Most of the big whales are waiting for the halving to proceed so that they could see some of the major coins on their dip which would be the point for them to enter the markets and make it grow to the next level.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is libra (from facebook) will be a good invest ? on: February 04, 2020, 07:20:51 AM

The question is, do this project would able to make it through? There were lots of issues towards Libra project which been highly opposed nor blocked by government.
it won't be blocked knowing how popular FaceBook is?of course they will sort then issue before the launch.but profitable?i don't think so since this is stable currency.
Libra coin would actually be good for the people who carry forward their advertisements over facebook. They can easily pay for such advertisements with libra coin and hence they might seem using libra more suitable for them. I think this is the major reason behind why facebook is launching it's own coin. They want a payment method to support their internal financial monetary affairs and libra coin would be a best selection in this case.

Investing in Libra would not be beneficial for us as traders but for those who want to gain benefits from the most grown platform like facebook by promoting their products/services onto the network would surely find it beneficial.
