2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 11:32:41 PM
The masses are coming to alt coins soon, is this how you guys are gonna treat everyone that's not just like you?  You'll be greatly outnumbered and the bankers will take over so I'd definitely find another, more subtle approach.

Why don't you focus on reading and learning yourself instead of writing such a huge amount of useless stuff?

Guys, come on.

Which of you is Miss Whale I played the innocent prank on yesterday?

You DID NOT lose that much money to write such bad things about me.

No need to be too angry with me. I am a nice guy after all  Cheesy

I already said I wouldn't be posting more calls.

Let's be friends. PM me or something.

Man, nobody is angry at you.

In fact that last post of yours about whales and daddys was so fun that we thought that you could only have written it while trippin hard Wink

Was indeed one of the funniest thing I've read in here today Cheesy
2064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: July 15, 2013, 11:24:06 PM

Just adding my voice to the "Don't stop posting, don't get rid of this thread" choir.

And would like to ask, since you're quite fond of the 1d SMA200, what your opinion is about the possibility that this

will end up like this

i.e. whether you think it is likely that we got one bump up from the SMA, but break right through it ~4 weeks later, in a repeat of 2011.

That looks accurate
2065  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 15, 2013, 11:12:12 PM

Man, that shit is strong indeed Cheesy

And soon the Golden Block will get hit as its randomly every 2 hours and so its overdue, it should hit any minute.

It is not overdue.  It will not happen.  Until a forked client gets released.

2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Miner's Official Coin LAUNCH - NUGGETS (NUGs) on: July 15, 2013, 10:50:29 PM
Just wondering.  Are you currently looking into ideas that will make this coin a long term coin, and not one that kills itself in 6-7 years?

No he is looking into the idea of getting rich quick in the most hilarious way possible Cheesy
2068  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where do i get ASICs/FPGAs in Singapore? on: July 15, 2013, 10:40:38 PM
Hello. New guy to the forum. Have been mining for a few weeks now and I realized (long ago) that my MacBook Pro 2012 is too damned slow for mining, but I cared about that less than I cared about doing my work. Now that I have some free time, I want to get an ASIC or FPGA for mining hardcore. I can easily build a mining rig, but the electricity it absorbs would be too much compared to an ASIC or FPGA. Anyway, the people I am living with won't allow me to keep something on for more than 4 hours.

I have no credit card and my PayPal irritatingly doesn't want to accept UOB input, so I am stuck with local cash, which I have extra to invest in BTC mining. I've been looking all over Singapore for one but to no avail. Anyone knows where I can get one?

No point in getting a miner to run it only 4 hours a day. That's a waste and a very bad investment. Just buy BTC with that money.
2069  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 15, 2013, 10:09:36 PM
In general, people assume it's more than one person doing the manipulation, that's why I addressed it as a conspiracy. Although there's always the rich lone gunman trope that's not too far off.

Anyways, there's always walls, and many whales are not so bright. Some think they can manipulate the market, but chances are, people will try calling what they think is a bluff. Then there's the genuine whales who places large bid/ask walls in hope that they actually gets quickly filled, for better or for worse, which I think is likely the case here. But some people might think it's a bluff and sell into it.

As for whales with large orders, they think the market will go in a direction, and they want to cause a chain reaction by shifting their weight around. They aren't out to push the market up just a little then sell, they're in it for the more mid-term/long-term, unless they start to panic.

Most whales only place small orders, unless something big is happening.

Whales can't push the price where it doesn't want to go. Whales can't change the overall trend, unless they had millions, and timed everything perfectly, to include the correct wave counts, etc. This would likely be a great loss to them. It's better for them to go with the trend.

Some things are correct, some are not.

There are 3 group of traders (in general):
- plankton traders, who are 100% on the market and are 10% correct
- whale traders, who are (depending on the group) 80 - 100% on the market (they need holidays from time to time) and are 80 correct%
- daddys, who are 1 - 10% on the market and are 90 -99% correct

Whales screw plankton. Whales have knowledge of planktology and apply this knowledge with a use of various tools and actions, e.g. they scare them with walls, they have shills spreading news like ''I see a head and shoulders'', I see a double top'', and what not. Some of these shills even accept donations.

Daddys screw whales (and indirectly plankton; you know whales need to cover losses they suffer from daddys and screw plankton even more). Daddys have knowledge of whaleology.

LOL, you should pass some of that shit you are smoking Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I really hope they cancel all the orders going to germany that way many people will move up in the queue who don't mind waiting just a bit longer........

2071  Economy / Speculation / Re: Yet another analyst :) on: July 15, 2013, 05:46:19 PM
A few days ago I was just wondering why your ignore button was so bright... I still have no idea why so many people put you into ignore; I'm curious to know that, but I've never weighted your posts based on that thing! Actually, apart from the curiosity about "why", I never cared.

Well, lucif has always been a fun read, but there were times in which his ultra-bearish analysis was not welcomed... And to be honest, almost always wrong. For example, check the posts in this thread from mid January onwards, he was ultra bear while the price was consistently going UP UP UP, there were quite a few flamewars in here, if I don't remember it wrong the "blue guy" and cypher even wanted to remove him from their subscription services Cheesy

Lucif was wrong for a long time on his analysis, but at least always provided TA insights that supported bearish scenarios, which was something that we totally lacked in this community, which is ultra-bullish by definition. He went a little bit extreme tough, I remember how he always wrote about this being "the doomsday thread", where only bearish analysis had space... No bullish counts allowed Cheesy And this while Bitcoin was at the doors a huge run-up to $266 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Maybe that had something to do with his glaring ignore button Wink

Don't be offended lucif, I'm a regular of this thread because right or wrong I always enjoyed it. While you were a bear in Jan-Feb I held like a mofo regardless of what you said, but I learnt a lot of TA and EW.

Wow, you analysis is really deep. And the colors and such really make it insightful indeed.
2073  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: July 15, 2013, 04:43:59 PM
I'm 1 day late...but I submitted a refund request. I was away this weekend and didn't get the email until earlier today. I immediately requested a refund. I hope I'm not too late. It doesn't look like shipping started, right? If not then IMO refund requests that are just barely late, should still be honored.

No tracking number reported on these forums for any batch #3 unit so far.
2074  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win my Avalon.! Raffle Gane! Purchase a avalon for only 1 Coin on: July 15, 2013, 04:41:00 PM
please do some advertising for the raffle.  Otherwise I have to refund everyone. (if we cant even manage to sell 100 tickets.)

So, the minimum amount of tickets you need to sell to raffle the unit is 100, and if you are not able to sell the 100 tickets you will refund everyone - correct?

Can you please state a clear finishing date for the raffle, meaning the day in which you will refund everybody if your target is not reached?

As you know this is a super time-sensitive investment (or "gamble", in this case), and each day that goes by the value of your Avalon is aprox. 1.3BTC less (which is what generates at current difficulty, overclocked at 70GH/s).

2076  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: July 15, 2013, 03:12:49 PM
While brazen... you can't fault a guy for trying.  Tongue

Well, I jumped very quickly on that... Maybe I said too fast "Avalon is honoring refunds", who knows if Cypherdoc's offer will seem sweet in a couple of weeks?

Can't be sure of anything these days, miners are pretty much getting ass raped by all these preorders that end up in months of delays. Anyhow, no risk at all for the vendors, 100% of the risk is on customer's shoulders. I guess that is what we will get with ASICS, the money-machines business is a tricky one and something that has no precedents till now...
2077  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: July 15, 2013, 03:08:07 PM
if anyone is in California and wants to sell their Avalons unboxed on arrival, i'll pay $3000 cash for each.

LOL, who would do that? Avalon is honoring refunds, and those machines costed 74.46BTC. Anyone accepting your offer is losing money big time for not reason at all.

2079  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [3] countdown! on: July 15, 2013, 12:45:43 PM
Sorry, but Unfortunately  our SMT-Line is broken. We wait for replacement parts. Delivery of Batch 3 is delayed for another 4 Weeks!

You forgot to say, 4 weeks after they first deliver all missing of batch 1 and 2 who still crying on forums being ignored. Should give something like 8 weeks from now...

If at least people was informed...receiving some expected communations from the team they funded...

Maybe they are trying to consolidate their orders with refunds (so they don't waste money on shipping to someone who is going to refuse it), and the large number of refund requests were unexpected.

I honestly don't see how they wouldn't expect a lot of refunds given the circumstances:

- their batch#3 pricing caused an outburst of rage, that went away only when they explained they were basing its price on a certain delivery date (May) when difficulty was expected to be 12 million and ROI aprox. 30 days

- the delay is huge, they say "a few weeks" in the latest newsletter, but it's actually "few months"

- ROI is getting more difficult by the day. As soon as we hit 35 million difficulty, it will become unlikely.

- other vendors have appeared with very good cost/GHs ratio (Bitfury, DIY projects, etc.)

- their first generation technology starts to feel like it's going to be rendered obsolete in a few months, not only because of competition but also because of their own 2nd gen

TL;DR - > if they did not expect massive refund requests they are leaving on another planet.
2080  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 15, 2013, 12:24:37 PM
It looks like the big spike we had earlier today was a big buyer trying to push the price up with little success.

Its seems to me that is a whale trying to start a rally. Given the current market circumstances, there is no need to panic buy such amount of coins, why executing that market order with big slippage if you can just place your bids, or execute smallish orders while ask side builds up?

Of course there are other explanations. It could be a whale who just don't care about losing +$10k in slippage, because his pockets are so very deep. Or just a noob whale that doesn't know how this market works and is afraid to miss the train. Or he may be someone knowing that huge news will hit the world soon and there is no time to buy slowly. Or maybe he doesn't even know how to place bids on Gox, don't noobs always buy their first coins with market orders?

All the above seems unlikely to me. This market is so tiny that an individual with a relatively small amount of cash  (few millions $) can become a market maker. I guess the vast majority of BTC whales never experienced the feeling of being a "whale" on grown up markets, so they like to play. The most likely objective would be to trigger some panic buying that would make $105 fall, which following TA would be a strong trend reversal indicator.

I'm not buying. The whale seems to be running low on ammo. Wait and see...
