What if Nakowa will robb all the profit from JD? Can we withdraw all of our money?
So far it doesn't look like nakowa is "robbing" anything, he is just gambling and winning big time, it doesn't look like he is cheating at all. I've seen much crazier variance playing poker, what nakowa is doing is unlikely but certainly possible. Plus, all the profit is already gone, the site and its investors are actually losing money. Nothing too strange, nakowa has a huge bankroll compared to the average player, and with just a 1% house edge variance can really make the house to lose a lot of money to a nakowa-like whale. Nevertheless, he just needs to keep playing.

At the end , if he did 100k wagered, he should have won 99k back , but he won like 107k ( in this last week)
Edit : i think he did more about 200k wag , so instead of 198k he got 206k
Also, he gets to choose when to stop. He could have chosen to stop when he was down, but instead waited until he was up. The site doesn't get to make that choice. "Ok, you've lost a couple thousand; no more bets for you. thanks for the coins". It wouldn't fly... As an investor I don't blame you at all, this is just variance. I agree that the 1% house edge is low but its also good to attract more players. I would change nothing, nakowa's winnings are driven by variance and math and nakowa's personality ("I'm not a gambler", I found a flaw") are definitely on our side, and he is doing quite a lot of advertising for JD. Plus, this was never a risk free investment as some implied just a few weeks ago. We need very big numbers, just that.

Hi all, I also have pending USD withdrawal at MT-Gox and I have found someone who says, he works in Mt-Gox financial department and he is able proceed my USD withdrawal in a few days. He communicates and make withdraw for people who were invited by people who made a deal with him in past. I know a person who waits for withdrawal and if this person gets his Usd from mt-gox he can send me his details (invite me) and I will have "invitation" and write him e-mail and ask for withdrawal. I heard there are a lot of pending withdrawals at Mtgox and he is able process few withdrawals per week. He requests 5 % of pending withdrawal amount. Person (friend of mine) who waits for withdrawal received link for video where he (mt-gox employee) shows he has access and rights to process withdrawal. We watched that video and looks like he really has access to some Mtgox application where withdrawals are managed and processed. Friend of mine already sent 5 % of pending amount and waiting for withdrawal. Will inform you when he gets money. .(hope it will be soon) I would like to ask you - does any of you have any experiences with him ? harbtec@googlemail.com .... (he only comunicates via email)- do you think it can be true and he is able "speed up" my Usd withdrawal ? Google "advance fee scam" and PROCEED with EXTREME CAUTION I understand your point of view .... I am skeptic also, but I can understand he asks money in advance... because where is guarantee he will get his 5 % after he made withdrawal for someone Obvious scam, and you are wittingly or unwittingly advertising it.

Best quote: I'm not a gambler as you might think Yeah, sure, LOL

I haven't seen a check since the 80ies, except one. Got one in return from some USSAnian scammer company. I was told by my bank I had to travel to USSA to cash it in. Would you be happy if you got a check which you had to travel to Japan to cash in? Probably cheaper to take the 5% option.
Sturle, you keep mentioning this 5% emergency withdrawal option, but not a single person on this site has been able to provide any evidence for it. Further, if such an option existed, it would currently be quite profitable as the spread between other sites and Mtgox is over 5%. See previous pages of this thread for first hand reports of emergency withdrawals. I have. The only person I have seen mentioning it really is you. Show people how to get one of these supposed emergency withdrawals or stop spreading this FUD. In what way am I scaring you? Here is one report. Search for more yourself. You have to request emergency withdrawal from support. And there are more. The "emergency" withdrawal (what a joke of a name) exists. I would call it the "ransom" withdrawal

I must give it to him though, his strategy is good. Variance is a bitch sweet if you know to stop while ahead. Even if that is temporary, you stand out above most gamblers. And playing with such large amount of money you have to dare. I mean he gambles $10k/$50k with a click. Loses/wins $200k in a few seconds. And is likely willing to lose 1 million USD on JD. Unless he is a billionaire, that's serious money for him too.
Always remember, the house can be down with not 5% like yesterday but 80% according to simulations done here before. That is if his roll is as big as the house (40k btc) which it may.
I'm wondering what if his roll is 'only' 10k btc, 4 times less than house? Does that mean maximum drawdown in simulation would not be -80% for house, but also 4 times less: -20% for house?
I agree he dares, he just needs to dare to play more.

It's not a coincidence that the DDOS attacks started almost at the same time as his new site.
Also if you read in Gambling forum Satoshi Dice and Satoshi Circle have been getting hammered in the last 2 weeks. That's what make it so suspicious. Honestly most believe it is another place as do I, nakowa's best marketing is betting at JD and letting people see what he's doing. Two days ago, the second he began betting, the JD chat began going haywire. All I'm saying is that Doog needs to think hard about this. Even he takes his money out when Nakowa comes along. He's already screwed Doog over once, why would you think he wouldn't do it again? The only time he "screwed" dooglus was when he gambled money that he had already withdrew and was still showing up in his account balance due to human mistake. Plus, the fact that he tried to justify the fact by saying he was hacked was just lame, and it tells a lot about his personality. Finally, he says he "is not a gambler", and he believes he found an exploit for JD. That tells a lot too. He just needs to keep playing, using his unbeatable system.

REFUND US NOW
As you can see from the previous posts, people is paying "ransom money" to OP's room mate in order to get their refunds. Pathetic...

This was his betting pattern I believe, or at least some of it It's a gambler's phallacy semi-martingale system. The guy seems to deeply believe in gambler's phallacy, so he bets an arbitrary number (let's say 100BTC). As soon as he believes that the probability to hit a winning strike is higher because he just lost multiple times in a row (gambler's phallacy), he starts betting double of his initial bet (200BTC). After he won multiple times, he starts betting again 100BTC as he believes that the probability of losing is now higher, because he just won multiple times in a row. Please nakowa: keep playing.

Xialla has a point.
Normally, when you are buying such a time-sensitive, professional device, as a customer you are updated about every step of the process, as you need as much info as possible to decide wether to go ahead or cancel. You should get to know when they are receiving the critical parts (chips), what's the schedule from now on (exactly: with days), and in which precise day your devices will be shipped.

Seems to me like the amount of value being traded has, when you take into account prices, increased. I mean 50k coins at $10 each is less then 5k at $130.
Which is already reflected in the higher price. IMO BTC volume is the appropriate indicator. Agreed. And we are preaching an all time low in terms of coin supply at Gox. It looks to me that there's very little new fiat going to Gox, and very little coins being offered. I (for one) cannot currently justify using Gox for storing either fiat or BTC. I did store 1000+ BTC there for more than a year so apparently I trusted them more back then, (or BTC was cheaper..) - No real reason to buy from there, as Bitstamp's liquidity is enough for me. - Feels risky to sell there, since I am waiting for my first withdrawal. Meanwhile: - Localbitcoins has grown a lot and is already a major source of volume. - Bittiraha.fi in Finland is doing more volume extraexchange. - I am also back to work, doing OTC. We are moving away from Gox-centric world. In my observance, the total volume we have now, is actually brisk when taking into account the insecurity concerning Gox, the holiday season, and the aftermath of the minibubble in April: http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#igWeeklyztgSzm1g10zm2g25zvzl(It is increasingly more evident that there never was a bubble in 2013, not any more than the Pirate event in 2012. The only bubble Bitcoin has experienced so far was in June 2011, and that was a bear trap. Bulls made anything north of 300% in 2 years =) ) Glad you are back, the truth is we need OTC more than ever. Hope to do my first trade with you soon.
