So talked with a rep on the phone and it looks like US Customs flagged 1 out of 2 total packages and now I have to pay $39.74 in taxes / duties / import fees.

She said customs probably overlooked my other package which is why only one was flagged

I didnt realize we have to pay these fees in the US, and what a bunch of BS that 1 must have made it through without discrepancy, but the other requires this fee? when its the same damn thing

I thought we're not supposed to pay import taxes if it's under $2.5K.

All I know. My Hash rate to this pool will be rising soon.  Cheesy

At $0.02 per KW, you are profiting on average $320.00 per month for each S7
You have to recoup your initial "investment" (purchase price of hardware + psu) before you see any profit.  Even with 2 cent power (which is rare in and of itself) you won't see profit for over a year. That's why I mention ROI even at low power rates.  New hardware purchased at retail price just doesn't make any sense right now.

Most people however can buy the new stuff, mine for 6 months, sell and then they are already at 50%+ Profits.  I still don't see how you won't see profits for a year.
At a monthly profit of $320 that's 5.5months until ROI. Even at higher average Diff, it will be 7-8 months at the worst.

Also let's not forget Bitcoin prices. Right now they are low. When (and I mean WHEN) they head back up. profitability inreases by a ton.

Gotta pay to play.  Wink

I don't understand why people complain about the ROI even at low power rates.

At $0.02 per KW, you are profiting on average $320.00 per month for each S7 (more if you rent out or use good pools and have good luck). Yes difficulty is going up, but even then, mine for 6 months, sell after than for at least 1/2 your cost and you've made a good Profit.
Difficulty will not be jumping up at a constant 10% which people seem to be panicking about. That's just absurd. If anything it will average out a few % per month over a year.

You've still made a bunch of money for absolutely no work, other than sit on your butt..

Just as title states. Selling my 110MH/s Scrypt miner which I've upgraded with a new EVGA 1300G2 Power supply.
Works 100% reliably between 100-140MH (Comes on pool and coin).

Best miner if you can't afford a KNC Titan.  Wink

Asking Price : $1000+ shipping.

So anyone want to guess on the price of the new SP50 from Spondoolie? I have emailed them for a price, but nothing back yet. I'm guessing 45-50K based on cost per gh and the S7 as a baseline. Anyone know more about this miner's cost? Its 1/3 more efficient then the S7 at .15j

I doubt it'll be under $75K to start. Besides it is only for 'Bulk Customers', so no single unit sales.

Maybe the rubber chickun did it. Lol

Is it harmful to restart the pool every day automatically?

Over the past few months, solved blocks pour in after pool restarts. I'm a believer!  Cheesy
2091  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS : 4x Spondoolies SP20E's 1.55BTC each on: September 22, 2015, 08:51:34 PM
Lowered to 1.45BTC each (PLus shipping if you chose not to keep them at the host/colo. That is between the buyer and the colo though to settle shipping, etc..)
2092  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: September 22, 2015, 05:54:38 PM
Jeff's colo in OK matches lowest hosting costs, i'm at $75 per kw per month there. Might try him . His username on here is Sunbreak.

He was recommended to me by sidehack and has been good.

On another note, my s7 has not shipped yet.
Ordered on 9/08 via UPS. Hopefully it wont get held for more info as i'm not a fan of giving out my SSN.  Undecided

Working on more changes that will prolly not be ready for another day or so ... then I'll restart to add them in Smiley

Too far. We need the restart goodness now..

Restart please....

Is there a way to predict how long a block will take or is it just waiting and see when it's done?

I predict it'll get solved within 7 days.  Wink

On that note. I just ask for pool restarts as that seems to have good effect on pool luck..  Grin
2096  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS : 4x Spondoolies SP20E's 1.75BTC each on: September 20, 2015, 08:04:49 PM
I'm not following what you meant, but I am willing to deal at the right price.

No international sales though. Not worth my hassle as they are at a hosting Colo in OK.

After purchase the buyer can handle the shipping with the Colo directly. For that I'll give a break in price. Otherwise they are still earning me $$ at 0.10 per kwh.

Today is the 20th  anyone with a shipping notice?

Nothing yet.

How long before the refunds will be sent out?  Within my support ticket I was told they would begin in 24 hours.  That was the 16th and the ticket was closed. I don't understand why betarigs now closes tickets as resolved when the issue has NOT been resolved.  Please advise.

I agree on that one. That HAS to stop. I mentioned it before that closing tickets before they are satisfactorily resolved is bad business.
