Sorry, but some of you guys here talking about "institutional investors are selling" are still at the Mt. Stupid level of understanding.

Any large institutional investor that takes up a big long position in bitcoin:

1. Is not going to sell mere days, weeks, or months after doing so. They are in it for the long haul.... years.

2. Went through months of internal dialogue, planning, board decisions, and a fucking *mountain* of legal & regulatory hurdles, sessions, paperwork, fees & other costs, etc. just to take up said btc position. You really think after all of that, they're just going to turn around a few weeks or months later and YOLO dump everything on the open market? Really?

Not all corps have strong hands.  Take Nextech AR for example.  They purchased 2m worth in late 2020 with a commitment to increase that in 2021 and then dumped it shortly after they tweeted it out.  Weak assed CFO couldnt handle the dip.

Sometimes you instantly regret getting something when you haven't thought about the negative consequences of that thing that you only saw the good sides of.

Certainly he regrets selling when he did.  Bitcoin did a 180 right after they pulled the plug.
I guess it's still better than having a tiger cub piss all over your face.  Weird the way she let him piss all over her face and in her mouth rather than doing something to stop it... Is that some kind of new CFNT(iger) porn?  Not the outcome I expected.

I should have stacked moar sats back then.  That one vacation in the mountains back then would pay for about 75 mountain getaways today.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

After yesterday's new ATH ($58354 Stamp) we finally got the correction we were waiting for (over $5k)... currently $52947USD/$66865CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

...we are just having some fun despite our age (more advanced for some of us).
something about never being too old to be young...

It's about age?

I stand corrected. I thought it was about Twitter.

I don't mind WO memes but I'm not really into Donald Trump's favorite trollbox.

FTFY

Sorry for the crappy quality.  I'm at work Sad

Edit: Oh shit!  I'm not keeping up.  They should have been blue.

What's wrong with mainstream media ? Are they falsely reporting these opinion about bitcoin  Huh

What's wrong with them? A shorter answer would be what's right with them, especially the Clown News Network.
If their scrutinising of the current president was any softer they'd literally place him in a soft play area during questions.

Nice Sunday pump, heading back to ATH. 60K going to be revealed today?

Too focused to even look.  I've got my laser eyes on the 100k prize.  I'll come back to this post later though Smiley

Michael Smerconish is a former Republican turned independent in 2010 - this was an informal poll located on his website smerconish.com - normally his questions get between 7k and 9k responses but it's about as representative of the general public as our formal WO polls.  Hands up if you've ever heard of Smerconish... that's what I thought.  Fuck him for publishing the results of this invalid poll on CNN.  He announced it on his twitter account - sending people to his site with no direct link ie smerconish dot com and giving them one day to vote.

 The funniest part is this:

I thought Stolfi had died.  Huh.

Good news though.  More corn for us! Smiley

That's sad news.  Maybe Elon can figure out a way to take that work of art to Mars.

edit: I was referring to the bull.
 edit2: The bronze one!

I can see gold becoming a useful cheap metal for making 100-200 year long batteries for Tesla's electric cars.

ford is going electric for a reason.  they all know those asteroids are loaded with insane amounts of gold.

Gold makes super long lasting batteries if it were to be worth 100 x less or 17 a pound vs 1700 a pound  we would have multi generational batteries.

Sell your gold and buy btc

Ford is switching to all electric 2030 for a reason they know Elon will be mining those asteroids bigly.

We are heading into a new world of cheap long lasting power.

BTC is the tool that will allow it to happen.

hodl hodl hodl.

500k before 2030

We wont be driving cars in 100 years; we'll be teleporting... to Mars.

WE is a tad optimistic (although I wouldn't mind, really).

We will be able to afford the latest in life-extension technology.

Yes JJG, I've used the royal 'WE'

I texted him I have revised it to $260k

I hmm'd and haww'd on that recent BTC sale, to provide liquidity to start building immediately; I don't want to tap my existing accounts if I can avoid it, so I don't feel bad parting with low 2 digits of corn.

Maybe I'm thinking about it all wrong. Maybe I should drain the traditional fiat accounts, as it seems that selling corn, near term, beyond what I have already sodl'd, may not make sense, given the appreciation vs my traditional investment accounts.

Something for me to think about this weekend...

Nice problems to consider.

If you plan on leaving some around for generational wealth, I don't think it's a problem selling a couple (digits) now.  It was still an awesome return on your initial investment and that's the understatement of the century.
I cashed out enough just before New Year to get rid of my fiat obligations and reduce my monthly payments to necessities of life (food, water, power, gas and internet... oh and property taxes... shit and insurance).  I'm ready for the next stage of life now - retirement Smiley  I'm finding it hard to let go however.  I guess I have diamonds hands for everything.

Just got a text from a good friend who I tried to get into Bitcoin by placing a 0.5 BTC paper wallet into his hands a while back.  His weak, baby-like hands sold at ~ USD $1100.  I tried to talk him into buying at around $2k to no avail.  We discussed again @ ~10k when he thought it was too late - I disagreed.

 his text:

"And I thought you were nuts with your $100k prediction.  Now, not so much... Cheesy"

I texted him I have revised it to $260k

 "Holy crapola"

Can I get an opinion please?

Just out of interest WHEN do you guys think we will breach $100,000? I’m pretty certain it’ll be this year but just interested to see when you guys think it’ll happen?

April, May, June?

Later in the year?

Thanks.
