That was the best Christmas present I got this year!  Thank you to all involved in the production.
The only thing wrong with it was that it left me wanting moar!!!

I actually tried the OpenStego program last night with windows and I got a java error but I didn't have time to troubleshoot as I was playing Santa.  I don't think my brain is working very quickly these days because even after seeing Cyrus' post saying the layout was deliberate and fillippone's post spelling it out precisely and actually attempting to use the OpenStego program, I only made the connection with the OpenStego program when I woke up this morning.  I tried some online programs to decrypt the image as well without a password but they were able to find a message or said a password was required.  I wish I had more time now but we have a lot of visiting to do yet today.  Good luck everyone!

 Merry Christmas!!

Un Crăciun luminat! Sărbători fericite tuturor!

AWww... do we have to wait until next Wednesday?

Come on please! What do you know we don't? Which clue did you get from the image? I have been stalking this thread for weeksmonths and now I am wishing for my Christmas present!

No! I don't have any insider information.  I only know whatever I've seen posted publicly but when I saw Cyrus' latest post I thought he was directly translating some Romania phrase into English:

 Pe locuri, fiti gata, start!

 Which translates to

"On your marks! Get set! Go!" or "Ready! Set! Go!" or "Ready! Steady! Go!" (I'll admit I am a little confused by the word "Open" but it wouldn't be the first time I have been confused by Romanian-English translations ESPECIALLY on restaurant menus which can sometimes be downright stomach turning... but I digress)

Add to that the Twitter poll where they let the users decide the opening day - Wednesday was the top pick - so I am making a huge assumption that it's ready and will air next Wednesday.

That's all I've got.  Nothing special.

Wow amazing love you bro…10/10!!!

But I think I need my laptop to wear it because I tried from my phone (iPhone) and it’s coming with white background.

(Btw why iPhone doesn’t support pngs or transparent backgrounds overall?).

Glad you like it!  Sorry I can't test on the iPhone because I don't currently have one but the transparency seems to work in windows and on my android phone.

HOW IS DCA HELPFUL

It's more fair if you show graphs with different starting dates, not just at the Covid-crash.

I did a few calculations on dcabtc.com:
Quote
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2011-03-21 would have turned $265 into $407 (+53%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2012-03-21 would have turned $265 into $1,749 (+560%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2013-03-21 would have turned $265 into $1,010 (+281%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2014-03-21 would have turned $265 into $182 (-31%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2015-03-21 would have turned $265 into $373 (+40%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2016-03-21 would have turned $265 into $417 (+57%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2017-03-21 would have turned $265 into $710 (+167%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2018-03-21 would have turned $265 into $194 (-26%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2019-03-21 would have turned $265 into $211 (-20%)
Wow! Buying $5 of Bitcoin every week for 1 year starting on 2020-03-21 would have turned $265 into $1,230 (+364%)

Thanks for that link!  My wife has been playing lotto in a pool where she works for over 8 years now and while it's only $5 per week it has always irritated me (maybe because I dislike being subscribed to anything but life-saving medication).  Any winnings they get are small prizes and they always dump it back in for more tickets when the jackpot rises to unheard of levels (so they wasted it).  I told the lady running the pool that they should buy bitcoin every week in their pool instead of lottery tickets but she didn't like that idea.  Not that it does any good now but I just checked that site and $5 per week for 8 years of lottery tickets is $2080 worth of hope and the bitcoin, if purchased weekly, would be have been worth over $133,000 today.

For all those who says bitcoin is too expensive and they can't buy it and completely ignores as if stacking sats was never possible here is an infographic representation for them.

HOW IS DCA HELPFUL

You have two options :

1) Invest whatever you can through any means you like

2) Give excuses and be shitcoin maximalist that will give you nothing.

Bitcoin is future if you know you know.

Maybe before convincing any noobs, I would put in a time range that makes sense...  it shows 8 days backwards in time....

Good catch!  Seems as though it was originally published on Bitcoin Magazine but I can't find it there.

So I fixed the date
...but the real mistake is doing DCA rather than "all in"!

1390  Other / Meta / Re: [HELP ON REFUND] WRONGLY SENT $1000 worth of BTC to copper member payment addres on: December 23, 2021, 01:18:20 AM
That's really unfortunate and reminding me of How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V, never forget to double check your address before broadcasting your crypto transactions.

When I look at the instructions on the page where we can buy copper membership, there is a warning

You can pay a one-time fee in order to increase the capabilities of your account. Be warned that:

You can still be banned if you break the rules. You will not get any special treatment.
These memberships are not guaranteed to last forever, or to offer the same benefits forever.
No refunds will be given.
.
.
.

Take a look at the bolded words so you only can request the admins and I hope theymos will help you in this.

I would hope "No refunds will be given" pertains to the account itself and not some accidental over-payment.

I thought Wachowski had already chosen no banana.

Or was that the joke?

Honestly, that thought never crossed my mind.  Good one!

Everyone spare yourselves from Matrix 4

Not gonna say more about it

I can't remember a time when you didn't recommend a new movie.  This one must be a real stinker.
Thank you for taking the bullet for us Smiley

I know it goes without saying in this thread but I can't help myself.  Buy Bitcoin!

https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/grim-outlook-as-housing-affordability-hits-31-year-low-1.1698487

Housing affordability in Canada deteriorated to the worst level in 31 years in the third quarter of 2021, according to a new report from RBC Economics.

According to RBC Economist Robert Hogue, aggregate home ownership costs rose to 47.5 per cent of median household income in the latest quarter. That was a sequential increase of two percentage points and marked a nearly six point increase compared to a year earlier.

RBC includes factors such as mortgage payments, property taxes and utilities to measure ownership costs.

"The need for more supply has never been greater. This became clearly evident in the past year with bidding wars springing up in places that have rarely or never seen them before, and intensifying in places more accustomed to them. And until demand and supply return closer to balance, prices will continue to rise," Hogue wrote in the report.

I did not sell any btc to increase spending, but had to make some moves in a couple of unnamed alts that had obscene gains in 2021.
House remodeling is expensive.
My bitcoin stash keeps accumulating (slowly) due to mining rewards.

For those of you who like viewing some expensive RE (I have to say that the buildings themselves are amazing from the engineering perspective), check out this, although this is probably out of reach for almost everyone here...but in 10 years...who knows:

In New York?

OK as your second or third home, I guess.

maybe..the vibe from a promoter/re agent was that this is like owning a Picasso-something very unique and there are only about 400-500 apt total in skyscrapers like this (in NY).

I was suggested the video by youtube earlier today. It says that half the falts are empty, even the most expensive ones. Someone pays 250 millions for a flat and never uses it, even once. What a waste !

It was also suggested that maybe it wasn't the best investment, because at first, with one such tower, it was "unique", but now, like you say there are several hundreds of them.

One day I hope to say that about a bitcoin Smiley

Sorry philipma1957 but I can sympathize.

I AM getting really fucking offended at the Mod of this WO thread that you can post this fucking over the top rant
For what it's worth: infofront hasn't been online in 4 days.

After all Covid discussion here was forced, yes FORCED off this WO thread
I missed the part where that happened, but if that was the case, I assume infofront will use his delete button again when he's back.

This was supposed to be neutral ground to talk about Bitcoin and other world happenings.
I do like that, without the drama caused by other differences of opinion. Let's face it: "we" here have only one thing in common. Except for proudhon of course, we have nothing in common.

There's another full moon tomorrow (or the 19th in the morning depending on where you live) and while this isn't trading advice, it looks as though there might just be something to all this talk of bitcoin "mooning" after all.  A little hopium chart for your perusal:

Just for comparison, here's the exact same chart, but with the positions of the full-moon / new-moon icons flipped on the vertical axis. Note that the horizontal locations of the icons are still correct (i.e., the icons still represent the correct definitions for full moon / new moon).

A better chart would be one that shows the percentage profit/loss of each period.

I was able to line up the months but the y-axis scale is slightly different for price is slightly different.  For the lower two lines, the grey one represents bitcoin price and the red represents relative unrealized profit/loss (thank you lookintobitcoin.com).  I haven't tried to read anything much into it yet; getting them to line up took too much concentration but that dip from optimism to denial then fear and finally to capitulation in March 2020 seems to align with the full moon.  The full moon was March 9th and the minimum price was March 12th, 2020.

Glad that someone else is into astrology. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

But usually the rule is that some Full Moons / New Moons are felt 1-2 days in advance. So basically the pump should start TODAY !!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

*edit(): Especially since this one occurs on the Galactic Center line near 27* degrees of Sagittarius. Tongue  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes  Huh  Shocked  Grin  Cheesy

Ha ha!  Well I did read somewhere that technical analysis is simply astrology for men and that astrology is no better at predicting the future than random chance.  It gives me something rather than watching TV to do in my free time though.
