2101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New free coin? on: November 01, 2017, 11:04:09 AM
Could you please elaborate for what purpose this thread was made?
Is it about a coin that you guys are going to launch soon through an ICO? If yes, why not post it in the announcements with some specs and more details about the project? If not, then what are you trying to explain here?
The theory you gave was well-explained but I think there is no relation between the title and the content inside the thread. Still curious to know what is it all about.
2102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at all time high $6000 on: October 31, 2017, 06:14:18 PM
Heyyy guys , bitcoin at $6000 after world bank president said "buying bitcoin at 5200 is too expensive "  ... what price do you see the market will close this year at ? Thanks all  Wink

Congratulations to everyone who had faith in Bitcoins and waited till date as the value as now gone over 6400 to create a new ATH and we are creating new records everyday which is super-amazing. I never thought of this to become true (as faith can't become truth always) but it's like a dream come true. I feel that we won't stop till 10k but 7500 looks a better target for this year's end because big amount of investors are getting in and becoming the reason for the rally. Let's not stop here, let's not sell and make them buy for even higher prices.  Wink
2103  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC analysis for this month! on: October 31, 2017, 05:59:15 PM
I am sure that this rollback is a natural pause before the jump. For all reasons of logic bitcoin can not go up in price at least until October 25. Subsidence rates may be related to the whales play in the market but they can't keep bitcoin down. I'm sure the rest of the week we will see the price touch the mark of $ 6000.

Just the way we all thought, it was just a normal stop and nothing that came and went off. Still, cautious situation is there until we cross tomorrow's date after which we will see the real potential of Bitcoins. It turned down to be one of the safest investments for everyone till date. There's nothing wrong if we hold because the buy pressure is looking enormous and 6k mark is already crossed, now the next level where I see the new ATH will be, is 7500. Yet unconfirmed of the breakout that's yet to happen above the 6700 mark. Charts are showing positive signs of convergence as well as increased volumes so, be prepared for some new highs to be seen this year.
2104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin trading is very bad now. on: October 24, 2017, 05:57:32 PM
BTG was just a misery that came out like BCH and people fell in because they were in the crowd that was intended purely into making some extra money putting their Bitcoins at "stake". BTG could have added some extra cash to your portfolio and nothing but altcoins are traded by geniuses, and holding them for months and/or years is not a game of hit and run, you need the damn patience to stop and wait till it shows the play.
2105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about others altcoin than Bitcoin on: October 24, 2017, 04:46:16 PM
I believe there's nothing wrong in thinking that altcoins are heart of crypto world but then, bitcoin is also not less than a back bone of the whole crypto economy and rides it very well all the time because it is bitcoin people trade for alts and it will always remain on top. Alts do have future but under the clemency of bitcoins or unless some other alt takes it over in temrs of Volume which is very unlikely to occur.
2106  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC analysis for this month! on: October 24, 2017, 04:31:38 PM
It is currently being traded as a swing-ing asset which could most likely be dropped before it starts making some real gains back but in a steady motion. I somehow agree to people saying that it could drop but not "badly" and the reason before its drop will be the sudden gains that it realized during last few months. It's in the interest of bitcoin if it goes steady instead of showing spikes. I also want 10k but not in one go, it should take some quality time before it gets there.
2107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need help with Bitcoin Gold (snapshot query). on: October 24, 2017, 04:23:34 PM
As being unlikely to support either s2x or gold fork, I was not so interested in knowing much about how it was all going to work as someone from my colleagues told me that bitcoin gold won't be distributed the way bch was done. But now I saw that a snapshot was taken yesterday and I had few coins in my blockchain wallet. Now I want to know that is it one of those wallets that agreed to give coins on a 1:1 ratio to their users if they had anything in their wallet during the snapshot?
2108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2nd chance at Bitcoin? on: October 24, 2017, 03:59:24 PM
If you watch it carefully, bitcoins gained popularity due to the fact that it has gained too many users from all over the world in least time. If we take your target of a million bucks into consideration, Bitcoin needs to make ~20k times the current value which now looks too good to be true. Maybe some decade may show you such values but stick to the reality that possibilities of n times your investment go lesser as it gets more higher. It's not a reasonable amount that you are talking about, so I would say that dreams are good but we should live in reality.
2109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in New ICO on: October 22, 2017, 05:42:47 PM
How far is it safe to invest in new crypto currencies, I mean what factors to look in them?

Certain things to look for, if you are interested in ICO investments:
- Don't look for those which are either using big percentages of their distributable coins in Airdrops and/or some referral schemes (like Authorship did, that's my personal experience, and the worst one).
- Check the legitimacy of owners as well as the project, try to find someone who lives at the places these guys are from (hopefully social media could help) and ask them if they could help verify that for you (one of the toughest tasks).
- Look that they have hard cap because such ICOs with a stop are reliable.
- Try to find as much information about their future plans as possible, and don't fall for bigger discounts because I feel that those big-discount ICOs are just trying to allure you with their schemes and they are actually selling their tokens at the rates they "really" need to work out and/or scam away.
2110  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC analysis for this month! on: October 22, 2017, 05:28:27 PM
Latest stance on BTC: Hey guys, hope my targets helped you determine the best levels where you may have been able to decide where to sell your coins and buy back. What I feel now is that, this is looking currently to be a bull trap and 25th Oct will burst the value back down to 5k somehow (I know it already went near 5100). Still, I am bullish on this and the cross over above 6k and this year's chart both have confirmed that the next target of 10k is conservative and we shall be there before the end of 2018 because of the increased demand. We are heading back to 6k and I maybe wrong about my thinking that it might get down again, as BTC could continue its rally without any pause.
2111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Excuse me to rush in and question the hype! on: October 22, 2017, 04:06:45 PM
1) The distribution of BTC sucks (phew, even if those distribution tables might be extremely inaccurate, this is something to consider; also huge amounts of BTC might be irretrivably lost, but still...). Thus, the 99 story continues with BTC, nothing will change; hard news for some hopeless world changing hopers like me...
Distribution sucks? I don think the way you do. Because the less the coins will be, the more they will be valued (and this includes those that are burnt or lost). It's already changing the thinking of the world now, where are you?

Quote
2) The slowness of transactions, unless you put a hefty fee to it (what happened to cheap and fast transactions, the original idea [I know, but still, this NEEDS to be solved IMMEDIATELY somehow - it will not happen in the very near and probably also not in the far future.])?  BCH shows the way. Is BCH the way? I don't know. Anyway, in spite of all the efforts, BTC is still way too slow/or way too expensive)
Transactions are slow? After SegWit came into existence and implemented, it proved to be way better than the speed used to be few months back.

Quote
3) It is still way to complicated for the common public to become (real) BTC owners
Well, it's their fault they didn't get in before. Or the fault of medium that used to negate Bitcoins in front of everyone, and after Bitcoins reaching skies, the same media changed their tune!

Quote
4) Most people in the world still have no clue about BTC, partly by lack of information, interest, it needs too much thinking… And hey, we are definitively not in the high time of human reflection and thinking business. But the very biggest part: Never heard of Blockchain, BTC and the like.
It's still relatively new, not even a decade old. See my post above for the reply that applies to this too.

Quote
5) In a world of speed, in a world of IT, can BTC, an IT product (!) with it's snail performance on transactions (see 2) survive? Even if transaction speed was improved 1000-fold and fees reduced, considerably so, - and we are fare from there -, it still will be way too slow!
If considering current speeds slow and fees higher, then I think that just like a well that always remain thirsty, even upgrades that take further will be slow only for you.

Quote
6)  I cannot understand that the BTC community seems to feels so cool about the high fees, something which will not be solved soon. If BTC becomes the world focus, transactions and exchanges need to execute in Milliseconds in order for BTC to become world dominating. Fees need to be low, otherwise BTC will not be used by everybody (original idea?) and it will hold a niche position forever. Financial products trade at lightning speeds, if BTC does it in seconds, it will still be slow, and we are lightyears away from that, probably even impossible to reach...
BTC is infant, and will adhere too many upgrades. Compare the current user base to what it was in 2010, the number is impressive. And the transactions are still being confirmed in max an hour. When you have a website where you can check what's the best amount of sats per byte as well as how many transactions are remaining to be confirmed in various sats per byte slabs (bitcoinfees.21.co), why don't you take advantage of such service?

Quote
6) At last, I will hold onto my BTC and BCH and hope, great things will happen, who knows!
It shouldn't be "Will happen", it's already happening.

Quote
7) But I'm very doubtful about the long term success, less doubtful about the near future performance, see above.
Everybody thought this won't be a long term success, but then, why does it still exist even after surpassing more than 7 years?

Quote
8 ) I don't know much and I am very excited to hear people proving me wrong!
Last but not least, we are not here to put down each other but to help, so nobody is going to prove you wrong, but will "correct" you! Wink
Don't mind, but I think that you are just trying to appreciate BCH over BTC.
2112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: October 20, 2017, 05:58:55 AM
Ive been wrong that i withdraw all my earnings on trading ..
i learned that ..must have patience in holding then exchanging it times 10 from the day I bought my alts..
hmm .. too bad for me now bitcoins is still aiming high ..

Holding is better but in many cases, I have even seen some people regretting their holds for too long.
You should really know when to stop hodling, because there were many coins that were bought very expensive (that follows the rule that when someone wins, someone has to lose and the same applies in trading) like DGB, BTS (I am still in favor of this), XEM, AMP that are almost 10-20 times less their peak prices. It's good to hodl, but it's smart to get yourself out of the coin at the right time. It's better to sell between and cut your losses that may occur in "future" when the coins you hold get dumped even more and you regret over your decision.
2113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 2018 on: October 20, 2017, 05:49:15 AM
if you have any idea about bitcoin increasing? if I buy now btc so its r8 or wrong time
fell free or droped here....
thanks

Bitcoin's value increase has many factors attached to it, one of which is a proven major aspect - increase in the user base.
And when newer investors get in daily, why are you worried about the time whether it's right or not? You should not buy on anyone's suggestion but decide on your own because I have seen many people blaming the community members after they see a small dip in the value. Still, I would say just wait till mid-November because the value may plunge back a bit before the rally begins late-November. I saw the chart today and if it is to follow the same pattern like before, then the least it could go would be between 4500-4700 level where you may find it better to purchase your coins.
2114  Economy / Services / Re: Xaurum Gamma Signature Campaign(Best rates, Short Campaign) on: October 19, 2017, 06:45:11 PM
So far nothing, I will let this week expire before contacting the team again.
Mr Yahoo,
Is there any available slot?
Thanks

Do you people even bother to check just once before asking for a "slot"?
It's clearly mentioned in the OP that "THE CAMPAIGN WILL LAST FOR 11 DAYS AND SEPT 29 WILL BE THE PAYDAY." It started on 18th and ended on 29th, even the title should make it clear to you which says "Short Campaign". At least have some sense and take some pain to check the first post before applying in a campaign which is already over.
2115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need an anonymous wired purchase of btc on: October 19, 2017, 06:24:59 PM
Why don't you try out Currency Exchange section?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
You will be able to find many traders who might be interested in dealing under the conditions you have stated.
Still, doing a wire transfer that too "anonymously"? Is it even possible in the real world?
2116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If I were to format my phone on: October 19, 2017, 05:59:52 PM
I am new to bitcoin and I am confused about wallet, private key, seed etc.. my aim is to buy bitcoin and HODL for life.

I currently only have 2 wallets on my phone (blockchain app and electrum) and I have written down the 12 seed phrases for them. If I were to format or buy new phone now and reinstall those 2 wallets, is it true that I still can access my wallet with my email and 12 seed phrases and able to see my bitcoin address and btc right? I do not have wallet for pc desktop.

For blockchain app, you will need to have your 2fa backed up already (if you have enabled it), and if not, then your address identifier, password, email and your mobile number are the four things you will need to login back to your wallet. Electrum lets you get your wallet through the 12 phrase seed, so don't worry about that.

I guess I understand better now. Thanks.

One last question. I have account on localbitcoins.com and have very small amount (0.0003btc). When I copy my public address from localbitcoins.com and search it on blockchain.info site it shows I have final balance of zero, and when I import my address of localbitcoins to BlockChain app it shows Watch Only and Balance of zero but in fact on the localbitcoins.com I have 0.0003 btc. Do you know why this happens?

When you say public address, it's either a multisig address or a new address where you may "receive" BTC just once in order to be added in your (Localbitcoin's) wallet. I have never heard of any Localbitcoins' addresses that may be "imported" to blockchain wallet? Do they?
2117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Death of Bitcoin on: October 19, 2017, 05:17:41 PM
bitcoin is maintained by core developers, would Bitcoin die a natural death if the developers no longer exist? Or if they stop maintaining/developing/upgrading the system?

Agree that Bitcoin gets maintained by Core Developers, but why do you think that it might "die"?
Bitcoin is an open-source project and all the material related to it is available on github for developers to be able to do anything with its properties.
Don't you think these Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold coins must have that open-source code used in it to be called "Bitcoin" before their alternative names?
Even if they stop maintaining the system, the base is too much firm that contains many more reputed developers who would take over the project to continue developing it in the future and add upgrades eventually. Don't be too scared, when a "bulb" was invented, did it stop there only? We now have LED lights available for some great brightness at less expenditure (electricity consumption).
2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coin for 2018 that is very cheap now? on: October 19, 2017, 04:59:13 PM
I see 3 coins that have huge potential and are currently being sold extremely dirt cheap:
  • BTS (Bitshares): A coin that's currently been very undervalued as well as underestimated, the fastest transactions over their network with least fees are being provided by them but really don't understand how it broke 4k and went down under 1k. It still deserves a better price than what it holds.
  • Waves: The coin that shook the entire Ethereum smart contract strategy by having it all done under their decentralized exchange network. Because of the current plunge going on in values of altcoins, I think this is also looking cheap and may go 10x just the way NEO did some time back.
  • VIB (Viberate): The coin recently got listed over HitBTC and it was initially being traded at Livecoin. It is currently just 2-3 cents more than its ICO value, many people don't know much about it but I have read their whitepaper and can say that the project is interesting and the coins are very cheap. You should definitely invest your dime into this if you are expecting a 10x next year.
I'm looking forward to the value of waves, because this coin have a lot of good seems increasing trends of price in the market. Definitely I invest to this coin for many times and I still holding it because I'm waiting the autumn seasons when this coins are ready to create a big waves of increasing price. Hopefully I was not wrong trusting this altcoin.

Don't worry, Waves is just being carried over by sellers just the way other altcoins are in-line of getting dumped daily.
It does have too much potential and with their decentralized exchange concept as well as token creation feature that's inbuilt and exchange getting some better volumes already, Waves is all set to take over the altcoin market the next year. Just let the dust settle once these forks are passed, and we will see see some altcoin-shaking action. You are absolutely not wrong with your choice of investment even if you are all in for Waves, don't panic - keep calm and hold waves, ah!!!  Grin
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people are sharing tips? on: October 19, 2017, 03:54:13 PM
So, I'm sure many of you have seen tipsters on this section, in your Twitter, in chatrooms and some other places - it's the people who suggest you to place bets on certain picks in sports. And maybe some of you have asked yourself a question - why they are doing it? Why they are giving us advises how to win money absolutely for free - and by doing this they decrease their own profit, since the winning pool grows bigger as people follow their tips. Can anyone explain this?

Can't resist to laugh out extremely hard watching your stance on this. You think we - the tipsters decrease our "profits" by sharing the tips as well as winning possibilities with others? No.
Because first thing first that odds change every now and then, so we really don't risk our stakes of getting less profits for our wins. We love to share it thinking that others may take some advantage of our knowledge and decide if they wish to join us or not on our bets. We - tipsters provide tips in which we are already involved (bets already placed on the given odds), so tell me even if the odds change for you how will we be in loss?
2120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your go to Bitcoin source for information? on: October 19, 2017, 01:38:28 PM
There are many websites like:
- Cryptocoinnews
- CoinDesk
- News.Bitcoin.com
- CNBC (have certain articles related to Bitcoins and its controversies)
- Bitconnect
- CoinTelegraph
- Bitcointicker.co (has a news section over the website)
- Other forums and Google News.
News.Bitcoin.com is still the best source for all the Bitcoin as well as ICO and altcoin related news because they are mostly very fast in providing the best information over ongoing issues and others try to put the same news but with different content (that's my take on others).
