Actually, in religion, gambling, alcohol and adultery are prohibited. <...>

Actually, it depends on which religion you are talking about. As you mentioned alcohol, I assume you are referring to Islam. There are many other religions in the world and not all religions follow the same rules. For example, I am a Christian and I follow the rules of the Bible, not the rules of the Quran.

@TryNinja, I think the Ninjastic.space scraper bot may be down.

Last post scrapped: 60738192 posted on 2022-08-12 10:56:09 UTC
The forum is currently at: 60739433, which means that the last 1200 or so posts have not been scraped.
2103  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal Mia_houston on: August 12, 2022, 01:06:14 PM
So you "accidentally" used his twitter and he "accidentally" used your BTC address? Five times? That's a lot of accidents! As they say, "Once is chance, twice is coincidence..." How many times is a pattern?

Do I have to keep repeating every statement I make to you?

Of course you don't have to. It's your choice.

As an account investigator of course you know how cheating can happen, can you tell me the real reason rindo was banned from the forum, and why didn't he appeal ?

I don't see the relevance of that in this case. I presume you didn't appeal because you had other accounts on the forum, which has now been proven.

I once contacted him and he say told me if he no longer had control of the account and I don't know why but what is certain is that the account has been controlled by someone else since December 2017, as seen in this archive https://archive.is/ga0y5

That's a lie. There is no record of changing the email address or password on that account in the Security Log: https://bpip.org/Profile?p=rindo
At the very least make sure there is some valid evidence to back up your bullshit story. Besides, that thread only proves that you cheated in the MOVEMENT bounty campaign with a fake Portuguese translation of their ANN. There is no evidence to support that the rindo account was hacked.

You can ask members from Indonesia here, when in 2015 in Indonesia cryptocurrencies were not this big and if I'm not mistaken, Indonesia only had one truly trusted exchange at that time that supported bitcoin/IDR exchanges, namely bitcoin.co. id which has now changed its name to indodax, each indodax registration can only use one id, namely an ID card, sim, or passport, whereas at that time we did not have a sim or passport to register the indodax account,

You expect us to believe that he couldn't create an account at the indodax exchange because he didn't have an ID card, so he used your account? How is that possible? Especially considering that he was supposedly your "mentor" who introduced you to the world of Bitcoin. As far as I know, a valid ID card is a legal requirement in Indonesia upon reaching the age of 17.

Because it was due to the limitations of the wallet registration method and also the exchange at that time in my country so I handed the wallet to him

Although you previously claimed, I quote: "I don't know why Rindo was able to use my address and to be honest at that time I was very upset...", now you say you handed him the wallet? Which one is true?

and if I'm not mistaken I was still a Full member rank at that time, because it time was easy to increase the rank of course I didn't think too much and  I ever thought about not continuing to build a mia_houston account, but because this is my first account, of course it's a shame to throw it away, but I really don't think the problem will be as complicated as it is now.

So this was your first account? Of how many?  Grin
2104  Economy / Gambling / Re: DUELBITS ASK FOR KYC WHEN YOU WANT TO WITHDRAW YOUR EARNED PROFITS on: August 11, 2022, 11:54:49 PM
I dont want to do kyc cause i dont want government know i hold any crypto. I dont know with who this people are going to share my data

That is your legitimate right, and I respect that. Although, I don't know how important it is for the government to know that you keep any crypto unless it is illegal in your country. And, if you're gambling with a portion of your stash in the casino, you don't have to reveal the whole thing. There are mixers, coinjoin, and other methods you can use.

Regardless, if that's how you feel, then I recommend using fiat instead of crypto for gambling, or even better, don't use casinos that clearly state in their terms of service that they have a KYC policy in compliance with laws and regulations.
2105  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal Mia_houston on: August 11, 2022, 10:57:58 PM
Unless you find stronger evidence than just the accidental use of twitter just once.

So you "accidentally" used his twitter and he "accidentally" used your BTC address? Five times? That's a lot of accidents! As they say, "Once is chance, twice is coincidence..." How many times is a pattern?
And, we don't need any stronger evidence because, apparently, this was enough for the moderators to ban your account.

I also won't force you to believe it, because from some of your posts, I see if you are not someone who has faith in other people even though they give the real explanation.

We have heard such excuses so many times before. No one believes in them anymore, so it's not just him.
2106  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk IV (2022 Q3) [MODERATED] on: August 11, 2022, 10:41:26 PM

use my data to register for a bounty campaign. never trust this account. please check reference

You'll have to explain yourself a little better I'm afraid. Why did you use someone else's data to register for bounty campaigns?
And why do you leave fake negative trust ratings on other people's profiles? That's trust abuse.

2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: August 11, 2022, 10:29:48 PM
For me if the person is already addicted to it then there is a low chance that he/she would stop even if he/she moves to a new place.
We have so many online gambling sites nowadays so it would really be hard to stop for someone who is already addicted to it.

The availability of gambling services such as online gambling establishments, slot machines on every corner, and sportsbooks that are open 24 hours a day and seven days a week makes gambling accessible to a larger number of individuals than it used to be in the past. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but the availability of these services also increases the number of people who have a problem with gambling. There are a number of factors that contribute to this, including the influence of technology and the increase in the number of gambling platforms that are available worldwide.

All of this means that we need to increase awareness of the problem of gambling addiction. Anyone, regardless of their age or gender, who is concerned about their gambling habit or who suspects they are addicted to a gambling activity should consider getting help and seek the guidance of a mental health professional. A professional can help someone to determine if they have a gambling problem and how to get over their addiction. If a person feels he or she cannot make a change, a professional can refer them to a rehabilitation center .

Once a person is admitted into a rehabilitation center, the person will be surrounded by others in a similar situation and will be given assistance for their problems. Some addiction problems are hard to get over and require professional help, but if a person is determined to make a change and wants to regain their self-esteem, then he or she can do so. All it takes is a bit of determination.
2108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Upload Audio at somewhere and share the link in Bitcointalk on: August 11, 2022, 09:38:43 PM
So, why can't we have such here on audio and visual without linking to a different site? I think this should also be look into.

I think SMF had Flash support back in the day. You can still see the Insert Flash button in the editor. Flash could play audio and video.
Of course, Flash has long gone and this forum is ready for a long-awaited upgrade.
2109  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I can't withdraw my winnings from the MBit Casino for 2 months. Please help!!! on: August 09, 2022, 10:29:27 PM
Getting a player to write up a bad review is the last thing that casino management wants to hear. They have their reputation to consider after all.

However, there are some facts here that should be noted. First off, the player has not been banned from the casino. That means that he or she can still get his money. Secondly, the player is not being accused of cheating or otherwise breaking the rules. So, it is possible that there was some sort of misunderstanding between the player and staff at the casino or the player simply has to wait a little longer until his case is resolved.

The best thing to do is to stay in contact with the casino and ask them what happened. @ambilianburnet, when was the last time you got a response from the casino? What was the gist of that communication if you can share with us?
2110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is this person trying to do on: August 09, 2022, 09:55:23 PM
It seems that some scammers are intentionally leaking their recovery seed to trap people, either greedy ones or those who would want to help out, I got this private message on my twitter account and I instantly knew that this is up to no good, what do you think this person is trying to do?.

It is a trap, don't fall for it!

Scammers often lure victims with such methods. It is possible that he left some valuable tokens on that wallet, but which are not transferable. So anyone who tries to send some ETH for gas will lose their money. It means scammers set up the software so that once they detect a new transaction, they automatically transfer funds from that address to another scammer's wallet.
2111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Upload Audio in Bitcointalk on: August 09, 2022, 08:46:45 PM
Too harsh for me. I'm pretty sure that there are still a number of people here that will benefit from the tutorial that the OP has posted, in some ways.

Maybe I was too harsh. But if I, for example, now create a topic with the title "How to Upload Video in Bitcointalk" and describe the process of uploading a video to YouTube, will you consider it useful material for the B&H board?

@Agbe, please don't be offended by my comment. It is important to keep in mind that most people who visit this forum are generally interested in Bitcoin or related topics. You can see from the comments of other members that most agree that your topic lacks usefulness for forum members, and some even object to sharing links to unknown services due to the high number of phishing and similar attacks in this industry. The Beginners & Help board was created so that anyone who is new to Bitcoin can ask the most basic questions and get answers, but primarily related to Bitcoin in general. For everything else, see the Off-Topic section.
2112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I messed up on: August 08, 2022, 11:58:57 PM
Also (and perhaps a stupid question) have you checked EVERY recycle bin (they'll be at least one per mounted machine drive - they used to randomly move things to D on old windows).

LOL! I was just about to suggest the same thing. When in a panic, people tend to overlook the most obvious solutions to their problems.

How to Upload Audio at somewhere and share the link in Bitcointalk
I hope this is suitable

I think this is a useless tutorial for Beginners & Help board because it has absolutely nothing to do with the bitcointalk forum or cryptocurrencies. You can basically post a link to anything you want and I don't think anyone needs a tutorial for that.
2114  Economy / Gambling / Re: DUELBITS ASK FOR KYC WHEN YOU WANT TO WITHDRAW YOUR EARNED PROFITS on: August 08, 2022, 11:28:35 PM
THEY LET YOU CREATE ACCOUNT... DEPOSIT... BET... NO SIGN OF KYC ANYWHERE... UNTIL YOU WANT TO WITHDRAW YOUR FUNDS

I hate to break it to you, but that is simply not true.

From DuelBits AML and KYC policy:
Quote
The first step of verification is an electronic KYC (Know Your Customer) check, must be done before any Withdrawal is possible. duelbits.com is not responsible for any delays in withdrawal created by the KYC checks.

After a user deposits funds to Duelbits using any depositing option provided by the company, except CS:Go Skins, there is a minimum percentage of the amount that must be wagered until a withdrawal for the said funds is requested, otherwise the company reserves the right to ask for any additional KYC documentation and freeze the user’s funds until the KYC requirement is fulfilled.

Now, don't tell me you didn't read the terms of service before you deposited your funds at the casino. Shame on you!  Cheesy
2115  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Google Sheets Extension - Scammed on: August 08, 2022, 11:13:54 PM
To be brutally honest, I haven't bothered with my computer's security too much. I simply installed Malwarebytes and never fiddled with it again. The issue is that I can't recall how I possibly installed such an extension. I recently downloaded Adobe Lightroom from a pirated source, but that was a few days after the extension was created, thus, it's not associated.

On top of that, since it's not an actual virus, it's not detected by any antiviruses, nor VirusTotal. I don't know what other measures I could possibly take to make such a threat public.

I haven't found any information online about this malicious extension, so it's likely that it's relatively new. I found some similar extensions that have been used to steal user's data and they are mostly spread through illegally obtained programs (from a pirated source). Maybe if you analyze the Adobe Lightroom package, or some other program you recently downloaded, you can find the source?
2116  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1xBit.com Coming back to Bitcointalk, Solving all the issues. on: August 08, 2022, 10:35:03 PM
No comments. Nothing and nothing. Support still ignoring, security team not replying, 1xbit representative on this forum read my pm and never replied. Seems my deposit is stolen and gone. No comments

Sadly, we have seen this happen with 1xbit time and time again as this is a well-known scam site that has been operating for years. They never return here to resolve issues, and since they returned to the forum, their reputation has gotten even worse.

As the saying goes "Look before you leap" so, in the future, make sure to do your research and fully investigate the casino before putting your money at risk. 1xBit is not the best choice if you are looking to find a trustworthy crypto casino so my advice to new users is to stay away. You are safer gambling with an alternative option out there.
2117  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitlucy withdrawal problem, does this acceptable? on: August 08, 2022, 09:56:42 PM
I am interested to know who are these some of them. A user who paid for feedback, a user decodx who is advocating for you and who else?

Why are you involving me in this discussion? I have never commented anything about JanEmil or JollyGood here. My only comment in this topic was almost two months ago and all I wanted to know then was the truth about the Bitlucy case. You can read it here.
2118  Economy / Reputation / Re: Thread for Ararbermas case and 3 other accounts. on: August 08, 2022, 07:49:14 PM
Posting an address is not the same as using it. Anyone can post it, only the real owner can sign a message from it. You can't link accounts based on an address they post, anyone can post an address I've posted, but that doesn't mean they're my alts.

Well, that's true, but you can't really expect us to have signed messages from the same address from a bunch of bounty abusers. After all, posting the same address and/or the same social media profiles in bounty campaigns has mostly been enough evidence for finding alt accounts and busting bounty abusers in the "Known Alts..." thread for years. There are always exceptions, of course, like this one. But I think that's rare.

Here's another point of view:

It's simple. If two or more accounts have the same information (cryptocurrency addresses, email, twitter, telegram, etc.), the banned account is checked first for matching information. If the banned account has the above information mentioned later than the non-banned accounts, then ban evasion is not considered. This is done to avoid mistakes.

As I understand it, the moderators consider that using a matching element (in this case an ETH address) is enough evidence to prove ban evading (depending on who posted first).

A better solution is to only use solid evidence when linking accounts.

I agree. There is no doubt that it is better to have a solid evidence or more than one piece of evidence that complement each other. That's why I always like to use matching elements in posts as a basis for deeper analysis (registration date, forum activity, token transactions, etc.) before making a decision. I don't recall ever having a false positive, and in case that ever happens, I will always re-examine all the evidence. Your and Tryninja's tools are a huge help and I agree that the posts in the archives should remain as they are, as true to the original as possible.

My latest posting by "jkoil" was on May 12, 2022.
Is it known that the hack was made on May 4th?
<...>

Sorry, my mistake. Looks like I was checking the wrong profile. It appears your password was changed (password reset via email) for the first time on June 13th, 2022, at 2:41:17.
You can check it yourself at: https://bpip.org/Profile?id=206476

As far as I know, a hacker couldn't have done it without access to your email account.
