Totally agree about Barca being a new side. Clean sheets. Long ball passes. 1-0 victories. It's such a different mood for us, and yet on the field style of play is similar to old stype (except the long balls!!).

Only thing we kept is booking points, it's La Liga I know so a lot of cards but we have been collecting cards for so many seasons now, at least fewer reds this time, I guess.

My only problem is I have been losing money everywhere, and using Barca only to regain losses. I wasted such a good stretch on good odds too, should have put standard bets on them.
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 13, 2023, 08:57:56 AM
League 1 as a business is much worse than the Premier League and no sheikhs and artificial infusions of money can change this. As far as I heard, tickets for League 1 games are several times cheaper than for Premier League games, and everyone knows that TV rights to show EPL games bring record amounts. League 1 needs to develop as a business, then over time they will be able to reach the level of the EPL, all other artificial methods are nonsense.

I think it's more about quality. Before EPL got all their money they attracted a lot of quality and wanted to play very good football. Exciting football. Plus a lot of people everywhere they wanted to show it spoke English. I think English as a language was the key secret.

French football outside the big teams is nowhere as good as Italian or Spanish or English, so it needs to change that first, at least this is how I see it.

Saw that you tied the Monaco game with Barca, good luck, didn't believe in Marseille enough? Wink

I thought it was itself a big risk in its own already! So yes Barca won the second game on my multibet, so I won it back happily. And to make it even better I put something pretty big on single ticket and that also converted, so I'm a happy guy this weekend.

Funny that it wasn't I made profit, but I made back money on losses and that makes me happy lol.

Oh wow guys, I made it into the DIV I last spot, thank you!! I'm going to take a look rightaway and enter my answers. So far I can tell already it looks very good, NBA, ATP, and of course football, this looks amazing!

I like the changes because we get to play with Trofo and cryptofrka Smiley

Theories ? I think it was a great game from both sides and neither of them wanted to lose and that is exactly what happened. We all kinda slept on Brentford thinking they are not a great team , but if we analyze their season so far , we can see clearly that they are indeed a great team , with great players , great tactics and also a great coach that always knew how to push his players for points and make them hungry performance.
Arsenal tried their best yesterday and it's kinda normal to have a setback after such a great run because it's not easy to build a gap of 6 points between you and Man.City , right ?

I've also lost my bet builder but hey , I was close to catch it hehe.

I saw that, big shame, but anyway I also lost, so I think we can have a big club of people who lost money on Arsenal the past 2 games. Brentford are a good team, don't get me wrong they're good but not great. The great clubs are having problems now that's all.

Spurs helped them last time, do you think Aston Villa can now?

First of all, I want to congratulate you for being chosen. I guess Steve is the best host I have known so far. I think everyone who joined these activities with me has similar opinions. I'm sorry that you aren't able to join. But Sportsbet.io and Steve have been organizing this kind of activities for years. I'm sure you would have another chance in the future. Lastly yeah guys please share photos with us.

Thank you Smiley Steve is really the best, well, everyone here is so kind and supportive it was totally unexpected. Even though I never met up, but the virtual connections here are kind, helpful, and fun.

No problem, I can win BSFL contest and it'll for sure more than make up for the lost opportunity!!

GL to everyone and keep us entertained.

Hey guys! My account got enabled again for all the specials, I didn't even message anyone about it so I guess sometimes these things just fix themselves? I immediately made all my 4-3free and Bet6-6 specials so you still have time to do it for the Manchester City vs Aston Villa game today!

Hahahaha thanks man, yes i dont know why i register here with that name i have to talk with theymos to switch to darbit like in all the pools. Tongue

Well but we have some in common if you are from philippines , we are both from the big spanic broterhood.

I am not, but I know a lot of Filipino friends, and yes, they sometimes have names that sound just like they could be from Spain, and play basketball which is weird for some of us lol.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 12, 2023, 10:52:34 AM
Wait, are you also another outright taker on Monaco? I put about $4 on them pre-season once I knew Minamino was on his way, I always thought he would do good eventually (he hasn't really, but he's not been bad for them either).

20/1 so of course I'd like them to win it all!

Not really no I don't usually bet long term like this but actually yes I have been hoping for Monaco for quite a long time now, and yesterday I took them with a small multibet together with Barcelona.

The only bad thing is that this was my insurance freebet from Sportsbet, instead of a bigger bet that I used to go for Arsenal who didn't win!

Still to get back the freebet and win something (if Barca win) is better than nothing!
2107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawing Bitcoin off the radar on: February 12, 2023, 09:38:05 AM
Why is P2P highly unlikely? My very first few BTC was actually directly from a person (not counting faucets and rain from casinos which amounted to very little anyway) and my very first "transaction" was also P2P.

I don't do it anymore these days as I hardly sell and it's actually easier with an exchange, but I don't see why I wouldn't.

How much do you have anyway? 1 BTC? Wink
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 11, 2023, 04:08:30 PM
Great match already started but I'm not really able to see properly but Monaco all the way for me!! I still have a bet from a long time ago on Monaco, and they are looking better every game, while PSG still has to worry about injuries. If Monaco can't win this today, it's all over.

Also I really like the looks of Marseille, but you know how this league is, they will all disappoint us eventually Wink
2109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: February 11, 2023, 03:08:02 PM
So I see most of us got to underestimate Cadiz yesterday, is it time to underestimate Sevilla also? Odds are as usual with them today so it seems like nothing changes regarding general estimation of them but Valencia on the other hand are almost same odds to win as Athletic, so I guess this is where form can influence odds.

Where are your bets on today @casperBGD?
2110  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: February 11, 2023, 01:08:06 PM
Same here mate. I've been waiting for this EPL day to come especially after last one who was almost impossible to predict.

Right now , I've just finished my BetBuilder for Arsenal game and I'm curious what do you guys think about it.

I think I have a great chance to catch it. Shocked

I like those odds a lot, they look good, I'm just always unsure when it comes to cards, but the corners 4 each is very achievable. Me I just chose to put a simple boosted bet on Arsenal today at 1.54 and using a freebet from insurance to also include Arsenal (1.5).

Then if everything turns out well I can make more bets on Barca Wink

I might even be considering Southampton, they have very good odds!
2111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People will choose bitcoins more if the number of cryptocurrency option is less. on: February 11, 2023, 09:31:31 AM
I felt like seeing a movie and opened my streaming app (Netflix) to make a selection of a movie to see and I became confused which to select because of the many choices that I saw. I immediately had this thought that it is the same way people who have the interest of investing in cryptocurrency become confused the one to invest in when they find out that there is bitcoin and many other altcoins. Many people become confused and make mistakes because of the many options they have in cryptocurrency, they fail to invest in bitcoins because they think that there are many other very good options. Do you agree that more people will choose to invest in bitcoins if there were not so many cryptocurrency choices although not all are good?

Sorry but this sounds like the dumbest thing I have heard today. How do you survive going out in life then? Supermarket? Do you get confused which rice to buy, which bread, which drink, which vegetable and fruit? Do you prefer that every day you get a box with fixed items?

How do you choose friends? Or you prefer people make your choices for you and maybe your parents arrange your marriage?

You don't. You learn and you try and you educate, then you make good choices.

Why should it be diferrent for Bitcoin?

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to share that earlier, I found out I was chosen to attend a partner match (Southampton) in the corporate box, as part of the famous Bitcointalk/Sportsbet Beers with Steve event!

Emotions: happy, excited, amazed because it is a once-in-lifetime prize, both to watch football in an actual EPL game, and of course a trip outside the country to see somewhere I never experienced.

Also emotions: sad and regret, because I cannot attend, due to personal issues.

More emotions: looking forward to see who gets to go on the next Beers with Steve.

Final emotions: thank you to Steve, Sportsbet, and from what I heard, those trusted fellow bitcointalk people who nominated for me to go. I am honored and thankful! Hope you guys enjoy, have fun, and share more pictures Wink

Man, I didn't know about this, trying out now. I was old user of the herokuapp and it stopped working months ago. I also don't use Telegram so I was without notifications for a long time! Thanks!!

I use this everyday  Grin

I don't have telegram as well, and I think using telegram for forum notifications is too invasive (considering privacy).

I don't like the idea to link my phone number to my forum ID, and you need a phone number to use telegram.

I was using herokuapp and it was the best because it gives you alert on windows, real time, very easy to see the next day too but so far this tool works perfect too, it is a nice list on a bookmarked url.

Telegram was too noisy for me, and personally the source of a lot of pain from ICO days so I quit all social media a few years ago sort of like a personal intervention because it made me stressed and worried all the time.

I know these days everyone must use phone app for everything but I really prefer tools like this, a bit old school but very good for, as you say, privacy!

Lol darxiaomi I have to remember you are from South America (your name is chinese so I keep thinking you are one of "us").

I have Filipino friends who play basketball like crazy and they also always talk about "legendary" games but they hate if I ask them when did they ever beat NBA stars? And then it always goes down to excuses of height and physical disadvantage because the tallest asian is the shortest nba apparently!

Good luck to anyone taking specials. I don't see them anymore but I'm sure new ones coming today Smiley

Now you mentioned we can look forward to Bundesliga and Lige1 included in our forum focus, with the Fanatics League BSFL soon to start! Of course it doesn't mean I will do better but I can do worse in more pools lol

I will personally hunt down people I know active in these leagues but not in BSFL heh heh. And there are plenty (though majority I choose to ignore as I know they're just spam posters there).
And now you even have an added pressure of relegation fight Smiley Something no pool or competition on this forum ever had. Really curious how that one will look, especially in the future if/when we have full 3 leagues with 20 players each. At that point only way to enter will be 3 places in third league and 3 people will be out for season without guarantees they will ever have a space in competition again.

Should be super fun and competitive.

There was 1 very good thing the gambling forum never had that the World Cup contest introduced, which was a sort of interactive H2H contest, based not just on gambling but on skill/knowledge. The "problem" with all gambling contests is always wager amounts, which sometimes I can win, but usually you are never going to win when one whale has 1 BTC to make mistakes with and you have 10x less Smiley

And now, I see the other thing introduced is LONG TERM interest. Even with the pools, it's all over after 1 season and everyone starts with blank.

This time, promotion and relegation means you MUST be consistent, so it will attract the most serious players. I agree that the threat of never getting a spot again is very special Smiley There will be a lot of disappointment though I wonder how to handle that lol

New app? I haven't tried the app in a long time but I know it used to give me problems because of locations, even though it seemed to retrieve the data wrong (I believe data provider IP is used) and VPN is too wierd to use on a phone, so I'll stick to laptop Smiley

Well done! 6-1 and you went for BTTS that was cool! I am following Gremio a little bit now because one of my ex favorite players is there (Luis Suarez) but I think they are not playing in this qualifications, but honestly I don't understand the formats. I'm also pretty confused by the system of leagues and how teams play it seems they play many many different competitions!
Now they are in elimination matches that are 3 phases to enter the Copa Libertadores group, the cup is similar to the UCL system and Gremio last season was in the Second Division and that is why it is not in this competition or the Copa Sudamericana, but already promoted to the first division for the season of this year.

Cool thank you for the explanation, yeah I totally forgot that Gremio was relegated, I did read about it and actually it seems pretty common for teams even big ones like Gremio to get relegated and then go up again very quickly and then go and win cups. Seems like a really complicated league/division system.
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: February 09, 2023, 11:19:25 AM
yeah, now starts the machine, weekend, mid-week for CL and EL, you have to put picks early, or forget in the end
Bundesliga is far more critical for me to forget, since it is not on Superbru

but overall, Rayo win was expected, we are again down, new coach proves that isn't worth anything, Real lose is expected, but against Girona we should done better - one point from six matches after WC, one point above relegation zone

I was a little bit joking when I spoke about Elche chances against the defending champions but now I know they were actually playing also in the CWC, and seems like of course will go all the way to the final, who knows, the extra tiredness might get Elche in an even better position?

Now you mentioned we can look forward to Bundesliga and Lige1 included in our forum focus, with the Fanatics League BSFL soon to start! Of course it doesn't mean I will do better but I can do worse in more pools lol

I think you are perfect candidate to join new Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League.

Yes everyone! If you're reading this thread and still wondering where to get the best place to meet crazy sports fans of all types and from all places, then you have to join this league.

Last night we had our first game for Copa Libertadores qualifications and surprising for me , I forgot about this game completely as I was planning to take a BTTS in this game and the final result would have been great for my bet.

Damn this French teams too, just as I was getting back my luck a little and betting on the right teams, switching out most La Liga for Ligue 1 + Coup games, then I get an upset inside too. Seems like my luck is following me all around no matter where.

But anyway, well done Marseille, fully deserved I think! To those who think PSG isn't worried about losing the match, well, if that's true, then it is also true PSG are not professional or hungry enough to win everything.
