It's his beliefs mate and that's why Djokovic doesn't want to take the jab.

But it is so unfair for other players if he will get the exemption, again the argument that star players are given star treatment which should not be the case here.

If he doesn't want to take the vaccine, then so be it, no jab no Australian Open chance for him next year.

It is indeed up to everybody for themself if they take the shot yes or no. But there will be no exemption for Djokovic; this has already been told multiple times and is again confirmed by the prime minister that nobody will get an exemption, also not Djokovic. Offcourse Djokovic will ask for one, but his chances to get that are 0%.

And so it should be.
If the Australian authorities gave such an exception to only one athlete, then all other athletes would ask for the same and it would be difficult to explain why some people are more important than others and can get an exception to the rule and some not.
Djokovic is probably the greatest tennis player of all time but he is not above the law or the rules and can't expect the rules not to apply to him.
Now let Djokovic show what is more important to him, his personal credibility and principles or tennis fame?  Grin Grin

2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ FOOTBALL: UEFA Champions League 2021/22 Season on: December 15, 2021, 09:48:32 AM
After the draws have been completed, my favourite teams to advance to the quarter final round are like this:

PSG - Real Madrid
Sporting - Manchester City
Inter - Liverpool
Salzburg - Bayern Munich
Chelsea - Lille
Villarreal - Juventus
Atletico Madrid - Manchester United
Benfica - Ajax

And I'm already pretty sure that majority of the people who have made their predictions think the same as me. And people who are thinking differently are favouring Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid most probably. I accept that they are both tough draws. But I don't see a big chance for Real Madrid to eliminate PSG. This can be PSG's biggest opportunity to win the CL title. And they will push until the end surely. And I see Manchester United as one step ahead of Atletico. Because Atletico seem a little more inconsistent than them. And I see Manchester United as a more capable team in offense.

Personally, I think that at the moment Real is a more complete and better team than PSG.
The match between PSG and Manchester City showed very well what PSG is missing to finally win the Champions League.
PSG has three walkers in the team, Messi, Mbappe and Neymar who contribute little to the defense and in matches against top teams such as Real or Manchester City this is a very serious shortcoming.
With the new coach, Manchester United is a better and more organized club, but the match between Manchester United and Atletico will still be very uncertain.
I mostly agree with other predictions, but every season in the Champions League there are unexpected results and surprises, so there will certainly be surprises this season as well.

Imagine if there is no bounty program in the forum and no profitable section, will there be more people here? For me who are not interested in the progressive plan, I prefer the atmosphere of TEITTER, and more free conversations are done on the telegram. Of course there is DISCORD, which is relatively popular now

Personally, I think that the forum is much more transparent and that it is much easier to find some old and valuable information than on Discord or Telegram.
Even without a bounty programs or signature campaigns I'm sure this forum would still be important as a source of information and a place to socialize and chat.
However, I agree that the interest in this forum is decreasing and that there are fewer and fewer quality discussions.
I guess these are generational reasons and that the youngest members may not have the patience for long discussions on the forum and prefer to choose faster ways of communication through social networks, telegram groups etc.  Grin
2124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaigns and taxation. on: December 15, 2021, 09:21:22 AM
I see so many people wearing signatures these days.
How do you state the cryptocurrency income from signature campaigns in your tax return? The tax authorities in Europe want to provide them with a document for the purchase of cryptocurrency, I guess it's the same for USA & Canada with the AML laws.

In countries that crypto is illegal, they don't care whether you got your crypto earning from signature campaigns or not. Any crypto assets in your portfolio are illegal to them. You must omit it from their reach to avoid being jailed for it

In my country, cryptocurrency trading is an accepted way of earning and capital gains tax is paid, 10% plus surtax.
When earning from signature campaigns the rule is a bit more complicated and we should after each payment within 15 days report it to the tax office via the tax form and pay tax on other income, about 30%.
For small amounts it’s actually too complicated and no one does it, we just withdraw funds anonymously through a crypto exchange and that’s it  Grin
When it comes to a much larger amount I will probably seek the advice of a tax advisor.
Complete FIFO records should be prepared for each tax report, but in practice I do not know of a single case where the tax office actually requested it.
Even if they did, I don't know if they would understand crypto fifo records at all  Grin

2126  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: December 13, 2021, 08:13:29 AM

Ako me prekriži za iduće kampanje, neka.

Transfer rumours:

Manchester United have drawn up a four-man shortlist in case 34-year-old Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani joins Barcelona, including Norway's Erling Braut Haaland, 21, Portugal's Joao Felix, 22, Germany forward Timo Werner, 25 and Sweden's Alexander Isak, 22. Manchester United is again very active in the football market and is spending a lot again, but will that help them finally return to the top of English football?
Tottenham Hotspur have joined Manchester City and Manchester United in closely monitoring the situation of Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen. The 25-year Denmark centre-back is out of contract at the end of this season, although the Blues still hope he will sign a new deal. There is a lot of interest in Christensen. Where will he end up?
Ajax manager Erik ten Haag, 51, has jumped to the top of Manchester United's shortlist as the Premier League club continue to consider options for their next permanent manager. Wasn't he a serious candidate for the Newcastle coach? He doesn't seem to be going to England.
Chelsea and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 28, will return to Serie A before the end of his career, his agent has said. Does that mean Lukaku is returning to Inter?
Paris-St Germain and Argentina forward Mauro Icardi's wife and agent is holding talks with Juventus over a potential return to Italy for the 28-year-old. Is Wanda bored of life in Paris and wants to return to Italy?  Grin

I'm not sure how exactly it works for the top seeded players and for all actually.
Can you just notify you are playing and then at a later stage confirm you have been
vaccinated? is there a deadline?

Just reading an article which is 6 hours old but could be older on https://www.express.co.uk/sport/tennis/1534172/Novak-Djokovic-Australian-Open-medical-exemption-Covid-vaccine-Scott-Morrison-tennis-news

Quote
The Australian Prime Minister has slammed suggestions that Novak Djokovic
could receive a medical exemption to play the Australian Open. The world No 1 has been in
doubt to play the season-opening Grand Slam after vaccination became
mandatory for all players, as he refuses to disclose whether he has been jabbed.
Djokovic then put himself on the entry list for the tournament but there was
speculation he would attempt to apply for an exemption to compete without being vaccinated.

As far as I understand, Djokovic just applied to perform at the GS in Australia, but the certificate of vaccination he don't need to give now but when entering Australia, which is logical because we know that Covid certificates have a limited duration.
So, Djokovic is only on the entry list for the GS in Australia, and it is a completely different story whether he will be able to enter Australia without vaccination or not.
Covid's rules in Australia are very strict, probably the strictest in the world and I would be really surprised if the Australian government decides to make an exception for Djokovic.
I think such a decision would infuriate many Australians who have been banned from traveling to Australia or outside Australia for 2 years, even with a Covid certificate or if they have been vaccinated.
It would be a very controversial political decision with very big consequences and I do not believe that any politician in Australia would risk that much, even if it because of Djokovic.
2129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: December 12, 2021, 12:56:42 PM
Group H was really interesting on the last week. Dinamo Zagreb had to win if they wanted to secure their position. And their match was really difficult due to playing an away match against West Ham. But West Ham rotated the squad a little which made D. Zagreb's job a little easier. D. Zagreb managed to beat them by 1-0 and ended at the 2nd place. And in the other match of the group, Rapid Vienna got a huge away win against Genk by 1-0 and this helped them qualify for the Europa Conference League.
West Ham is leading the Group H and have a total of 13 points. So, losing the game did not affect them. And it seems West Ham didn't take the game that serious. While Dinamo Zagreb really played awesomely. They scored 3 minutes into the match, and played more defensively, which prevented West Ham from scoring. While Rapid Vienna performance in the Europe League was terrible, but the 3 points they achieved against Genk helped them to secure a space in the Europa Conference League. The Group H was indeed very interesting.

I wouldn’t say West Ham didn’t take this game seriously.
Just look at the schedule of competitions in December in the English league and you will immediately understand why the coach of West Ham decided to rest his best players in this unimportant game.
In fact, this served the coach as a good test of how good and ready his young players are and I think they played a good game against older and more experienced Dinamo players.
Let's be realistic, if West Ham had played with the strongest team, Dinamo would not have had a chance.
2130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: December 12, 2021, 12:48:58 PM
LOL.. we need to wait for another three and half months to find out whether we will be able to watch Cristiano Ronaldo during the 2022 World Cup at Qatar. If they somehow qualify, then that would mean that Italy will be eliminated. Path A and Path B doesn't feature any of the superpower teams. In all probability Austria would qualify from Path A, while either Sweden or Czechia looks probable from Path B. Path C is quite complicated. In addition to Portugal and Italy, they have two very good teams in Turkey and North Macedonia.
I think Path A is pretty balanced. I don't see Austria as a huge favorite. In Path B it'll be the winner of the second match (Sweden or Czech). Patch C will be Italy vs Portugal and that'll be most likely Italy, as much as everybody is hoping for a last CR7 show  Grin

Have to agree. At least on paper, Italy is much better and more balanced when compared to Portugal. The latter depends heavily on individual performances from a few players, while that is not the case with Italy. We'll miss CR7 at Doha, but then we should also remember that Portugal wasted their chances during the qualifiers. They were in a tough group along with Serbia, but until the last two phases, Portugal was ahead of Serbia. Poor performances in the last few matches probably cost them a slot in the 2022 World Cup.

In fact, something similar could be said for Italy, that they played badly at the end of the qualifications and missed a great opportunity to qualify directly for the World Cup.
Now there is a great chance that they will not qualify for the World Cup for the second time in a row, which has never happened to them in history.
I agree that Italy seems like a more balanced and a better team, but only one game is played in Portugal and anything is possible.
Portugal will have the advantage of the home field and that may help them, but in fact it is a pity that one of these two great national teams will not qualify for the World Cup due to an unfortunate draw.

Interesting questions, let's see  Cheesy

1. What is the main reason why are you here in the forum?
I came to this forum 7 years ago and in the beginning the main reason was to understand what bitcoin is and what it is really about.
Later, the reasons changed. I made some friends here, I somehow got used to looking for some information here and not elsewhere on the Internet and I like the possibility that someone will give me a fee in btc for what I would do anyway, to be active on the forum and write posts.

2. What are the benefits that you get from the bitcointalk forum?
A sense of belonging to a community of people who think similarly and have a similar life vision, socializing and friendship, interesting discussions, information and earning opportunities.

3. What is more important knowledge or money?
Knowledge is always more important because with knowledge you can make money and if you happen to make money, without knowledge and experience you will quickly run out of money.
2132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: December 12, 2021, 12:17:59 PM
As for bitcoin, I haven't actually bought it for a long time, but I transfer what I get from the signature campaigns to the ledger and hodling it.  Cheesy
When btc reaches my desired price, I will sell it.
That's my strategy and I'm not saying it's risk-free, but at least I'm not risking my own money here, so I don't care too much, whatever happens.
I risk a lot more with some other crypto and non-crypto projects and investments, but for each investment I have a clear goal and exit strategy.
Hodling is my plan only at btc but not in other projects where I invest my own money.

Ako mi kampanja postane opterećenje, onda mi to nema smisla i radije ću sam odustati.

https://techcrunch.com/2021/12/09/ledger-to-launch-crypto-debit-card

U svakom slucaju, security rizik postoji

@babygun until Djokovic says he’s vaccinated I would believe he isn’t, and he hasn’t confirmed if he’ll be playing so it’s a mystery for now. Furthermore media outlets are reporting that he may get special privilege despite not being vaccinated, but for now this is just purely speculative hence we’ll have to wait for the official word on this.

True, Djokovic should at least confirmed that he will play because he has taken the vaccine already.

I can't find any reports though that he has taken the jab, so still, there is some questions about him specially his beliefs about the corona virus and the vaccine itself. I still remember him, insisting "freedom of choice", cry in the media. So maybe he has been vaccinated or not or just simply refused to answer this question.

Yeah you guys are also right. Until Djokovic reveals it himself, we (and the media) can only speculate whether he has taken the vaccine shot or not.
On a side note, S. Williams is still injured and will thus not participate in the upcoming Australian Open.

Djokovic now has a choice, to remain consistent and credible and refuse vaccination, or to trample on his words and perform in Australia out of a desire not to miss the opportunity to win a record number of GS titles.
Which will be more important to him?
Great sporting achievement or remain principled in his attitude about vaccination?
I think I recently read an interview with his father that Djokovic will not give up his beliefs under pressure which might mean that he will not get vaccinated after all.
In any case, we will soon find out what Djokovic decided and whether tennis fame is more important to him or whether he will remain principled in his position on vaccination.
2137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 11, 2021, 02:38:52 PM
I'm getting excited already now about the next stages. The biggest candidates for the title are obvious already now for me. And I would really like to see PSG making it to the title this time. They have their biggest chance now as they have Messi, Mbappe and Neymar at the same time. In the next season, it seems like that at least Mbappe will leave the team. And this would be really bad for PSG.
PSG is one of the European teams that has the best squad and best striker in the world, but  I don't see them growing since the arrival of messi, without rule out mbappe and neymar.
and I don't think PSG are the main candidates to win the Champions League this season, unless Messi can adapt quickly and become a goal machine like when he played at Barcelona, if he can, we can talk about the title.

Personally, I don't think that PSG will win the title of European champion this year.
PSG currently has probably the 3 strongest players in the world in the team, Messi, Neymar and Mbappe, but that does not mean that they have the strongest team, and this was well seen in the match against Manchester City.
They have individual quality but they are not a team.
Against weaker teams their individual quality is enough to win but against stronger teams it is not enough.
With three walkers on the team, who don’t play serious defense, it’s very hard to win  Grin

2138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: December 11, 2021, 02:30:50 PM
West Ham really came through, their lineup is full of players I never even heard of before. A logical move by Moyes, but Dinamo still has to do its part.
I feel much more confident now though, a draw is enough for us and if we don't get it against such a team, we don't deserve to go through anyway.

In fact, West Ham played with a lot of young players in the team, and if Dinamo hadn't taken that chance and won, then they really wouldn't have deserved to pass the group.
Now Dinamo can boast that they won away, a top team from the English league, which they have not managed to do in the last 50 years  Grin
In 10 or 20 years, no one will remember that West Ham played with the reserve team and only the result will be remembered.
Dinamo can now expect very attractive teams in the next phase of the competition, from Barcelona to Seville and Porto, a lot of money and a very certain elimination from this competition  Cheesy
I think Dinamo will be the biggest wish of most of these clubs in the European League draw.

We have two problems on this forum, more and more old members are leaving the forum and fewer and fewer new members are coming.
People get older, tired of their online habits, and life is taking its toll on them. Those are some of the reasons users are leaving, but there are of course others. I think we are getting some new members, however their reasons for joining and signing up is not to participate in discussions, learning, and spreading their own knowledge. That's the problem.

Most of the newbies that come to Bitcointalk can be divided in two:
1. Those who seek help with a problem they have.
2. Those who have read or have been told that they can earn on Bitcointalk.

The first group simply leaves after they have gotten the answers they are looking for.
Members who belong to the second group explore various earning opportunities (bounties, airdrops, the occasional signature campaign) and aren't really interested to participate in or try to create interesting threads and discussions.

In fact, I think there is a third group, but it is very difficult for me to say how big it is.
These are members who are really interested in crypto and want to learn something new, make new friends and hang out.
I say this from personal experience because I brought a few friends to this forum and I know well their motivation to join this forum.
Unfortunately, none of them are active on this forum anymore.
Some failed to even register due to the 'evil fee' rule and some gave up after some negative experiences and accusations from older forum members.

The truth is that, they shouldn't be any worry on paying taxes on Crypto revenues. The choice is totally in your hands, that's the beauty of decentralization. You move, spend, and hold your wealth without government interference.

The only thing that would make you pay taxes on Crypto is, probably, sense of patriotism. Else, you have no reason to worry about as you can easily make your Bitcoin untraceable.

The above diagram explains the beauty of decentralized blockchain transactions  in contrast to the centralized financial flows controlled by the banks and governments, and why it's difficult to trace Crypto. More reason you shouldn't worry about taxation to your Cryptocurrency earned revenues.

I totally agree with you when it comes to smaller amounts.
However, when it comes to very high amounts of crypto funds, which you want to exchange in fiat and buy a new car or house, for example, then you have no choice but to pay taxes.
You can't hide such big transactions from the tax office, and if you can't prove the origin of the funds, all your money will be confiscated and you will be punished.
Most of us don’t really care about the small amounts of crypto funds we withdraw, and that’s no problem to hide from the tax office.
In fact why bother with it at all when according to the tax law in my country, in case we keep crypto funds earned by trading for at least 2 years on a trading account,  we are exempt from paying taxes  Grin
