Portugal vs Nigeria: International Friendly. Thu, 17 Nov 2022
On Thursday 17th November 2022, Nigeria is going to lock horns with Portugal in an international friendly match. Time is 7:45 PM WAT.
The Super Eagles will use the friendly as part of their preparations for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers set for next March But is this even necessary? Why not play a friendly match with a nation that isn't going to the world cup instead of playing it with a nation that has just one week to rest before playing at the World cup after the players in the squad played for their respective clubs just last week. Portugal has all to lose in this game and if I were the coach I won't play any of the players called up for the world cup. I will use my third choice players and give them the motivation that this is a chanct for them to prove themselves of been worthy players to start for their national side. I can't risk losing any player to injuries especially as the Nigerian side are very physical. I think any international friendly ongoing during this one week is just very risky to nations that have qualifed for the world cup. If you want your players to familiarize with themselves then they should train and play games with in themselves that they'll be mindful of how they attack in other to not joapadize their chnacyas the world cup. |

If some people view football as a business, I don't think it's wrong because that's one of the goals behind buying a club as long as it doesn't mix business with sport.
But we believe Chelsea will return to their best form once the Premier League returns.
Todd Boehly hasn't showed any signs of been worried by the losses the club has been receiving lately, he does understand that this was a long term partnership he agreed when he employed Potter as the head coach of the football club. The coach is just getting to know the players as he hasn't have a long time to prepare for the squad he currently has. Thankfully the world cup has come to give Potter some breathing space and this time he'll used to work with the players not presenting at the world cup to build some relationship with them and get to know them better. Boehly is a business man and would want to make profit from his investment but not quick profit because those easily fade away. Manchester city didn't get to where they're today in just one season. It took time to build and Boehly hads to understand that and give the coach and team some time to put things in place. |

Bayern Munich has always been the dominate team in this fixture and I won't be surprised if they also dominate the game and knock Messi's PSG out of the tournament. I just browse about this clubs head to head and in the last 5 meetings between this clubs, Bayern Munich has won four times with PSG recent win just came last year when they won 3-2 (1st leg) at Bayern's home. Both clubs are on good form and has won their last 5 matches in their domestic leagues so we should be expecting a good fight when they play next year. Just hope by then both clubs are still at the level of form they're currently on. Looking at the star players from both team, it seems they'll all be active for their national side at the world cup. PSG is more at risk though as their front three could play more games as their respective nations are more favorite to win the tournament. I am obviously not underestimating Chelsea at all in this race. They can obviously bring this player in. But with the kind of form that the player is in right now I think the competition is going to be really high. And obviously, it is going to matter about the player if he wants to play in the Europa League or in the Champions League. I think that is something which might take this player toward Chelsea.
As I have said earlier, if Victor Osimhen was willing to leave the club and Chelsea are interested in signing him, he'll definitely choice Chelsea ahead of any premier league clubs. Nigeria players are known to do well in the Blue colour of recent and they'll definitely advice him to go play for Chelsea. We also have lots of Chelsea fans over here that are genuine fans of the club and not fan boys like with a particular player as we have with man United that many of their fans are just Ronaldo fans over here. And secondly just as you have stated, Manchester united are playing in the Europa which Osimhen won't want a part of at the moment as every player want to shine at the champions league stages. Saw this news earlier, seems we're getting closer to seeing Christopher Nkunku play for Chelsea and maybe the deal will be done in the January transfer window. I can't wait for this deal to actually go through as we're deeply in need of actual footballers and not the unserious pensioners we have at Chelsea contributing zero efforts to the team which reflect on the manager looking clueless. |

Certainly, Potter has been hit by the pressure in the EPL and am sure his not finding it any funny. Just a few game weeks back he was praised to have been a good choice for Chelsea but after the latest development of not winning games, am sure a lot of fans are asking themselves questions. His got to win this round and Newcastle is no easy team to beat.
I don't think it's the pressure because Potter seems to be very comfortable, I say comfortable because nothing has changed from his formation and style of play. When you're under presure, you should be trying to get out of that and it'll be very evident from how you do things but that can't be seen with Potter, I think what's happening is because of the absence of Reece James. Reece James is a very underated player at Chelsea, people seems not to understand how James is vital to the attack. When James is on the pitch, the mid fielders get a free pass to detect the game. But now that there's no one capable of replacing James, we can see our midfielder holding back to assist whoever is playing at the right wing back. I'm just glad James isn't going to stress himself at the world cup and that'll give him enough time to recover and be fit for the games that come after the world cup. Kante on the other hand is also going to be fit by that time so Chelsea should be coming into the games with energy from our missed players. |

In this situation, I just can't deny the fact that Newcastle are quite likely to defeat them in this match. They have defeated not only average but also big teams in the league so far. While Chelsea are in a bad shape this is a nice chance for Newcastle to get another win and make their winning streak five matches.
Have you also considered the fact that Chelsea could also use this game as a turning point in the fate this season. Lets not forget that nothing has changed from the same Chelsea that was unstoppable when Potter took over in the early part of the season. These are the same squad that also finish first in their group in the champions league. Chelsea should be able to defeat newscast anytime they play but with the recent form of Newcastle, it won't be an easy game. For a fact that teams like Newcastle could stand up to Chelsea (two time champions and Europa league winners) that's what prove that the English premier league is the best among all top league in Europe. Nevertheless, I just wish Chelsea could pick form from this game as we have endure much defeat as fans. We need a reason to want to watch the players play and not be disappointed anytime we watch them play. |

Hectorians, Due to a coding mistake, the wrong TokenPrice was used for calculating the APR for the HEC-USDC farm, the wrong APR % was shown on the Emission Plan page. This lead to the fact that a way too high APR was shown for the HEC-USDC Farm on the Emission Plan page for the past days. After a few hours of discussing and researching, the devs found the mistake. The mistake for the APR was made because after creating the HEC-USDC farm contract, the wrong PricePerToken (it used the HEC price) was used in the calculations, which then sorted in a way too high APR for the HEC-USDC farm. We also discovered some wrong coding in the calculators, which was why there was a wrong rewards amount calculated on both farms when entering a certain amount of HEC to be locked. Thanks for that to the community members that kept valuable community members pointing out massive errors in our protocol and demanding for a solution. The mistakes are being corrected as we speak, and the corrections are triple checked in the meantime before publishing anything. The good news is that the contracts work exactly as they should, the bad news is that you all have seen wrong information on the Emission page for days about the APR (on the HEC-USDC Farm) and the calculators (for both farms). Due to this you all expected higher reward amounts, which weren’t set because the contracts used the right calculations. And although these mistakes weren’t made intentionally, we’re taking the blame on us for this and deeply apologize to the community. That would be so difficult to get osimhen. There are some big clubs like MU, real madrid who have been aiming to bought osimhen as its performance with napoli shows how good him to be a striker in napoli. I see no chance for chelsea to buy that striker. Im sure that osimhen would prefer to join with real madrid rather than chelsea or MU.
Osimhen doesn't fit Real Madrid and all those are just speculation probably to increase Osimhen value. When last did you see Real Madrid going for an African player and when last did you see Manchester united also chasing after an African player especially Nigerian. The only Nigerian that has played for Manchester united was Ighalo and he didn't last long. Beside never put Manchester united above Chelsea when you talk about teams players will likely accept their offer. Without Ronaldo at Manchester united, I'm positive most of their new signings they had won't have been possible. Chelsea are champion league side while Manchester united are Europa contesters and no player downgrade to a lower side unless they have played out their peak and ready to retire. Osimhen will get a straight ticket to Chelsea if Chelsea wants him. Our African ambassador will give him a call and he'll put down his signature on the contract. Also note, money has never been an issue at Chelsea as the club has a history of big money spending. |

I completely disagree with you, Tuchel won the CL with Chelsea because he had a working strategy/philosophy, and not because of anything else, Frank Lampard didn't last long enough for you to claim he built a team that Tuchel then used in winning the trophy, when a manager wins a trophy for a club, even after just joining the team, that trophy is won out of his hardwork and imo has nothing to do with the previous manager.
I don't hold it against you because just as you're thinking so is other non fans thinking and not giving Frank lampard the credit that he deserves. Frank came into the club when the club was under strick penalties that demanded they don't sign any player. Frank introduced the fans to the academy players and both the ones he brought into the team and those already playing got the best playing time of their career and developed into what we see today. The likes of Mount, Reece James, Chalobah, Tomori, Abraham, etc all played brilliantly under Frank until the unlucky period came that his inexperienced caused us. Thomas Tuchel came in with his experience and used this players to win us the champions league but it got into his head and started sending our youngster away and benching those he couldn't sell. Why should a coach looking for a striker sell Abraham and cost of millions of euros to resign Lakaka sorry Lukaku. Thomas Tuchel didn't have trust in our youngsters that won him the title and that's one of the problem he had with fans. Again why go waste millions to buy Fofana when you have a player like Chalobah warning the bench?. |
