2161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 19, 2022, 01:45:49 PM
~
Indian T20I squad has recently played IPL with top players of the world and soon after the IPL they lost 2 T20I. IPL wont have any positive impact on performance of Indian team? South Africa is yet to lose any T20I series in India, if India wins the match today it will be the first time they won a T20 bilateral series against SA.
It is simply because of the IPL that there is new talents uncovered and that too players who are yet to play first class matches, so the bench strength India has right now is simply because of the IPL. The players were scattered in different teams and not playing as a unit in the IPL and to perform as a team it will take some time and bonding that is what happened in the first two matches.

South Africa won the toss and elected to field and i expect a good match and wish rain wont affect the match tonight.
Rain have already affected the match. The match that was supposed to start have delayed due to rain. As mentioned more young talents have been uncovered through the IPL. Getting into the playing eleven squad is a big thing for now. South Africa winning the toss seems like a winning opportunity for South Africa. Lets see what is happening with the Indian batsmen.
2162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: June 19, 2022, 01:02:25 PM

I think Nayib Bukele is right about this:

https://mobile.twitter.com/nayibbukele/status/1538356901297143809?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

It is a good advice, also a time for people that can hold for long like 2 or 3 years to buy bitcoin. I understand that price downturn can result to panic and uncertainty for new people but who buy at risky time like this when bitcoin has significantly decrease will not lose in long term.
His tweet represent what the people need to do at the bear market. We don't know how long it takes, it can happen within 2 years or above 3 years. The market can change any time. As per my understanding about the market there is chance of large scale bounce within two years time, because the halving falls in that time period. We can expect something good during those days prior/after halving.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good time for alts on: June 18, 2022, 11:31:08 PM
No need to wait for 1-2 years, im sure if you buy right now and hold it for at least 3 years, you will get the profit.
The hardest part is when we holding, we need to have some patience to overcome this bloody market, and it is not only alts, but bitcoin as well.
No human being can ensure other people's profits in this life because it all always depends on how market conditions are so within 3 years as you said it is also not certain to be profitable because conditions of decline and increase always occur in the market and even things it happened unexpectedly.
It is true that no one can't guarantee about any token actual time for pump but It is possible to analyze the market. And some things are possible to guess. Otherwise, traders would not be able to make a profit. However, not everyone can do the analysis.  It takes a lot of talent to do a proper analysis.
Proper analysis needs better understanding about the market. As per the ongoing situation it is hard to guarantee the market movements of any altcoins. However it is good to invest on leading altcoins that are priced low.

My choice is to invest on altcoins will be good making a comparison with ethereum market decline along with the altcoins. If the ethereum decline is found lower than that of the altcoins then investing on ethereum is the right choice, if not can go for other altcoins to book the buy at the bottom.
2164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your bitcoin ATL prediction before next halving on: June 18, 2022, 11:25:31 PM
When the price was around $20k, there were predictions that it'll be hard for bitcoin to maintain the resistance and not let the price down. If that happens the price will go far lower, the price tried to maintain it, and today it have gone down to $18000. I've voted for a drop down to $10k, and I'm not sure of it. Based on the statement a drop down to $20k will make the price reach far lower I've predicted it.
2165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Problem, Is it Possible to be a Thing of the Past? on: June 18, 2022, 10:34:10 PM
All in all, self-exclusion is about the player's initiative to undergo the process.  As stated by the several replies, there should be a personal admission that he is having a gambling problem but before that, the player must identify that he is having a gambling problem.
It isn't easy for a player to identify that he has a gambling problem, so the initial steps are already a problem.  This can be solved by attending seminars and reading online guidelines or talking to medical experts on gambling addiction.  Another hassle step for the player.  So the question here is if the player does not recognize that he is already having signs of gambling addiction, the self-exclusion tool is basically useless.

I agree, the self-exclusion tool is more of an imitation of a solution to a problem than a real solution to a problem. If a person is aware of the problem and wants to solve it, then he does not need such a tool, if he is not aware of the problem or does not want to solve it, then this tool is useless. I would like to hear the opinion of those who this tool really helped - do they exist?

self-exclusion will only work if the user himself is determined to change his lifestyle. because if he can easily be tempted by email promos, and go back to where he was, then, this self-exclusion won't really work. your will power will be tested every time, as you will encounter a lot of temptations. the gambling problem won't go away if you will not start from yourself. you have no one to blame but your own on this journey.
Self exclusion will completely keep the user away from gambling. But, as said if he gets triggered of the e-mail and other forms of promotion once again the person will start enjoying. As said to stop the gambling problem first the user himself need to have self realisation and keep himself within limits. When you self exclude users won't receive the bonuses, and for that purpose many won't stay excluded.
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 18, 2022, 10:29:56 PM
The banking authorities should've been careful handling such a huge fund. In my view it looks like the person is into gambling addiction and that's the reason why he had used such a big amount in gambling and lost everything within two weeks time. Two Weeks time is something long, the bank should've taken action within few days. There is difference between sending the funds to 436 beneficiaries and to a single account. Anyhow justice needs to be given to the beneficiaries as the person himself have accepted he have used the funds.
2167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 18, 2022, 06:53:01 PM
South Africa after giving a very strong start now chocking and having very poor performance in batting even their bowlers are still on their target and not allowing opponents to play freely but batsmen completely fail to produce winning innings after the first two matches which is a big concern for them in presence of some extraordinary players now after this match most chances they are going to lost this series as Indian's are settled and they will never allow them for having last match and series.

South Africa's batsmen have shown such a terrible batting performance in the last two matches, they do not look like they will win the last match. South African batsmen need to bat more responsibly. Of course, the top-order players have to play well. If the players in the top order do not play well, South Africa will lose the next match and lose the series. But my guess is that South Africa will definitely get back on track and win the last match.
Losing the 3rd and 4th T20 after making strong wins on the first two T20 matches of the series shows how bad the performance have changed. As said not only South Africa, almost every country have got this problem. If the top order didn't perform good, same will be followed through the match. India have made remarkable progress, in specific the bowling side have improved. In terms of batting, the players find way to score understanding the bad position of the top order.

West Indies lost 6 wickets, but they collected 231 runs. They are now ahead of Bangladesh by 128 runs. I think, West Indies may not be able to collect 300 runs. However, I have no confidence in the batsmen of the Bangladesh team. Bangladesh are likely to lose all their wickets before 150 in the second innings. So I think West Indies will win this match.

West Indies innings will end today. I would even say that the West Indies innings may end in the next 5 overs. They lost 9 wickets. Miraz took three wickets. Ebadot and Khaled took 2 wickets each. West Indies may be able to collect maximum 20 runs. But then I am waiting to see how the batsmen of Bangladesh perform.
West Indies have managed to score 265 runs and Bangladesh have begun it's second innings batting. End of the day's play Bangladesh have lost 2 wickets scoring 50 runs. Three more days left in the match, so the win of West Indies is almost confirmed.
They still have three more days to chase 112 runs but I am sure they wouldn't be able to do so as they have already lost 2 wickets. I still feel it is to early to declare WI as winners. The game is still in its initial stage. Bangladesh can still come back if one of their batters can stay on the pitch.
It is too early to conclude the match, when there is 3 more days left. I've made this based on the ground in which the match is being played. Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Grounds is one among the best ground in which West Indies used to perform well in test matches. Maybe in today's session if there is early wickets surely this will cause Bangladesh end the innings within a score less than 300 runs. West Indies might be given with a target of 100-150 runs.
2169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 18, 2022, 01:09:52 AM
Slots are probably the worst type of gaming you can do. Terrible odds and is way too quick.  A lot of bets take a while to play out where as ots takes all of about 10 seconds to win/lose.  Terrible game.

Agreed with you.
But for some reasons a lot of people prefer slots and dice to something more complicated (like poker). At least in the online .and western world. In Asia there is a little bit different story with all of this.
The game is really too quick, you can lose all your bank in few minutes (especially in online casinos, where the probability to win is extremely low). In offline slots, with 75 % prob of winning (Las Vegas, where it all highly regulated) there is a little different story
Maybe there is such a difference in the winning probability on the Western nations and the Asian part. Lot of people prefer Dice and slot which is all because of the chance of winning in big multiple. Quite often we can see big hits from slots on livestream, which too a reason for being more addictive than other games. In my view slot is not for the small level gamblers, it is for the users who prefer to gamble with high bankroll.
2170  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible that all cryptocurrency will become regulated? on: June 18, 2022, 12:30:18 AM
Cryptocurrencies have got integrated with the traditional market. This has happened through the increasing usage of the technology as well as the regulatory framework developed around. In few countries the government have provided a list of Exchanges through which trading can be done. This means each and everything happening through that particular exchange is taken for the taxation purpose. In such situation coins that are listed to those exchanges fall under the regulated category. However when cryptocurrencies as a whole is regulated there won't be exception. Maybe through decentralised exchange usage one can enjoy the benefits without taxation.
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tron (TRX) Discussion on: June 17, 2022, 11:51:55 PM
Amidst the big crash in the market the expectation over Tron keeps increasing. This is all due to the price that haven't moved much over the past few years. TRX due to its low transaction fee and much faster confirmation have attracted the users in all levels and had the good real-time usage. In terms of growth there is nothing much happened, the criticism is upon Justin Sun and expected a good bounce as new authority took control. Whether it is lacking development or what, nothing is known for the lagging in growth.

2173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 16, 2022, 11:15:10 PM
The person who does not know when to leave the table always loses in gambling. This is exactly the most important point in gambling. Gambling is a hobby. Once you get used to the idea, you're never a loser. When you believe this, you will not stress too much. You know that stress is the biggest enemy of gaining. If you don't want it to be hard to win, always gamble with your hobby money and leave the table.
That is more important, whether we're in the lucky streak or not we should know when to make an exit point. Gambling shouldn't be a hobby, it needs to be a fun factor set with limits. Hobby is a kind of act that gives you peace of mind, when it comes to gambling people will start pressurising themselves when they experience loss.
2174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let us know your contribution towards making BTC become successful in your area on: June 16, 2022, 10:33:02 PM
Well I've started to create a twenty session class to make beginners understand what is BlockChain and how this has made way for the innovation of bitcoin. I would like to get the suggestion for the topics to be covered to make things easy understandable. My focus is towards the students who are in the high school, the basic we provide needs to help them decide what to pursue after the high school entering the college education.
2175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Hodlers are actively buying bitcoin these days on: June 16, 2022, 10:00:43 PM
People who are into the cryptospace for a long know well about the market and the potential of bitcoin. This lets them go for atleast a bitcoin as the price have dropped down. Apart from that new users who have been waiting for a long time to enter the market have made themselves strong and have made their first purchase.

The first purchase were entirely out of self decision, and very few have come with the suggestion of others. So, the market is being understood and people are making use of the drop as an opportunity.
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 16, 2022, 09:53:26 PM
LOL... another disastrous performance from Sri Lanka. They are now 175/7 after 38 overs. And remember that they are playing the match at home ground and that too against an Australian side which lacks some of the key players such as Mitchell Starc. Matthew Kuhnemann in his ODI debut picked up two crucial wickets. And none of the Lanka batsmen could even get to a 50. Such a shameful performance from these guys. They are going to lose this match, and in all probability will lose the ODI series by a margin of 0-3.
Sri Lanka is playing as an unpredictable team now. They had quite low chance to win this match as the target wasn't enough. Australia is playing with their strong batting squad, still they failed to chase the target of 216 runs. Even they got all out in just 189 runs. The score was 165/5 after the end of 34 overs. Australia lost their remaining 5 wickets in next 3.1 overs and lost the game by 26 runs. I think Sri Lanka will be more favourite team in the upcoming matches.

I was very surprised to see the performance in Australia. I never imagined Australia would lose this match. After Maxwell was dismissed for 170, they lost all their remaining wickets by 19 runs. Warner is the highest run-scorer among the Australian busmen. If Maxwell had survived at the crease, maybe today we would have seen Australia win.

No one could have ever thought that Australia could lose this match. What was going on in the mind of the last 5 batsmen in the Aussie team?
I am sure it was also a surprising win for the Srilankans also  Smiley
By the way, how many people would have lost the bet on Australia in this match? I could understand their feelings after this match.
If I'm not wrong many would've made the bet over Australia and gone for sleep after watching the good position of Australia till the loss of five wickets. While waking up in the morning this will be a big surprise. The last five wickets were very well taken. Myself had a thought that the match could turn towards Sri Lanka, because all of the sudden the 6th and 7th wickets fell. Once after that Australia have managed to score just 12 runs.

The last match was a great one and if not for the innings from Glenn Maxwell i expected Sri Lanka to win the match but unfortunately Glenn Maxwell was in prime form and was clearing the boundary with ease and today they disappointed with the bat and defending 220 runs is an impossible task with the batting line up Australia has and the odds right now is 1.07 for Australia Grin.

The match was delayed due to rain and the target for Australia was 216 runs in 43 overs. It is very difficult to win with such a low target against a strong batting lineup like Australia. However, Australia lost Aaron Finch's wicket by only 39 runs. Australia scored 56 runs in 12 overs. It looks like Australia will dominate and win this match.
In this each and every player have contributed to the score. There is no agressive scoring from any of the batsmen, if not the score could've crossed atleast 250 runs. Australia too have played in such a manner whereas the reduced target have lowered the pressure on the players. Australia team have neared the win, and the last minute fall of wickets can change the match as Australia have lost 7 wickets scoring 177 with Cummins and Swepson on the crease.
2178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 15, 2022, 03:55:40 AM
What an amazing match.. when the 5th day's play started, never in my wildest dreams I had imagined that England had a chance to win. And this is exactly how test matches need to be played. Such matches will make sure that the fans remain interested in the test format. On the other hand, look at the recent boring matches we had in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Even after 5 days of play, most of these matches ended up as draw. Two things need to be done for the survival of test cricket - 1. make sure that an outcome is reached by the 5th day 2. reduce the number of matches per year.
Really a big test match that gets remembered forever. The team took the risk and got the result. It looks like the team decided to go for it, if situation turns bad they could've got some plans. Jonny Bairstow and Benstokes played the best of test cricket scoring 136 in 92 balls and 75 in 70 balls. Without such scoring the match could've ended a draw. Jonny Bairstow awarded the player of the match, though he hadn't performed big in the first innings he took the team to a win in the second innings.
2179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Not a Hedge Against Inflation?? on: June 13, 2022, 11:34:08 PM
The theory is because Bitcoin's supply is fixed, it must go up when fiat goes down. But the reality is not so simple, there are many factors that determine Bitcoin's price, and fixed supply is only one of them. For the last few years Bitcoin demonstrated correlation with stock market and general economy. It wasn't a full 1:1 correlation, but whenever stock market crashed, Bitcoin usually crashed too, but eventually Bitcoin recovered regardless of stock market.

Today's crash is just like that - a short-term panic caused by the stock market. Sooner or later Bitcoin will recover, nothing has changed fundamentally.
What can considered as a hedge against inflation. It is something that never drops the investment value unlike the market. What we're experiencing here is completely against it. Just think of a person investing $27000 yesterday and today it is $22k. So, the limited supply makes it a hedge against inflation and this isn't effective all the time. The recovery happens for sure, and now the market is getting more dependent on the traditional market.
2180  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price suddenly dropped from $ 31K on: June 13, 2022, 10:53:50 PM
It is likely we are closing down to the bottom...
The market can't able to hold weak people, they are now selling huge amounts making the market crash badly. Kinda be surprising as many accumulate in the market above $25k but for now, Bitcoin had fallen to $23k (at this post). I foresee that this might continue to drop more which could make worries and panic among the holders. As to see, this was not a small correction but big investors have already triggered panic selling.
Bitcoin at present have been moving down to $23k. This is predicted to go even lower to that, because the market is experiencing major blow out of the hike in the interest rate to keep the inflation in control. The monetary system have failed to achieve what they've done and so the same have happened with bitcoin. In particular today the panic have increased alot among the common people, because the drop is big moving from $28k to price down to $23k.
