I'm saddened by the fact that the sig campaigns and bounty threads are continuing to take over Bitcoin Talk. I suspect that this is one of the reasons that I don't post as much these days. Would it be possible to keep all these topics, and the campaign effluent, in the underworld here? Bitcoin seems to be at a really exciting and interesting point in its growth, and I feel that this should be the main focus of the form - together with some of the reputable altcoins of course.

I find it slows down my reading quite considerably. Presumably you want people to read your post - well bold and coloured text is non-standard, and it slows down reading for those of us who are busy, and have other interests. If you want your message to get maximum exposure, then please treat the forum as a collection of message boards, and not as a place to practice design exercises.
I skip over such posts, and very rarely do I read the content. Am I alone in this?

Europe is a very diverse continent, and one shouldn't forget that Russia is a country that is within the geographic definition of Europe. The European Union was a flawed concept from the very beginning, and it was obvious to all that such diversity didn't lend itself to a single currency or a common economic or political policy. One should also remember that before the UK was sucked into the EU by political deceit, and not by any electoral agreement, the UK was heavily invested in various projects around the world. Following the predations of the EU. it is now reduced to begging other countries for investment.

I didn't read all of your post, because I found it difficult to follow. I think you are suggesting that you run two or more anti-virus programme in your computer at the same time. This can lead to neither programme working correctly, as they will interfere with each other. For example, if they are both trying to trap interrupts, and replace the handler address, then the OS could end up using the wrong handler for the current checking routines.

There is so much misinformation and misunderstanding at the moment. The world's cleanest electricity generation plant is in China, and it is coal fired. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3dGHLC5YTEA&t=180sI guess the good news is that people are becoming more aware of politics and they way they are being manipulated ( Brexit for example ), and this seems to be leading to a revival in democracy.

Stealing is an admission of self-failure. If you are incapable of earning money by your own efforts, or because of your addiction to drugs, alcohol, vaping, or some other damaging obsession, then it is easy to steal the results of others hard work. Of course, this is at a personal level, we have a different situation with international politics. For example, the attempts by the US to steal the natural resources of other countries like Venezuela, seems to be accepted by many people. If you adopt a lifestyle that includes systematic theft, then eventually some of your victims will turn against you, and you will find that your choice of friends is restricted.

Get off Windows 10 if you are using it. I've been able to sync' my blockchain without any problems for a few years, and that is using public WiFi. Following the latest major upgrade of Windows 10, i'm getting dumped by quite a few peers, and it is becoming difficult to maintain the blockchain. I need to see if Mint supports the Brave browser, and go back to Linux.

Thank you for your interest, and for bumping this thread. I posted it on this board, as the board seems to attract fewer distractiiong posts, and unfortunately, I include your post as one of these. Bitcoin is a new(ish) creation to help the general public to avoid the predations of the banksters, and the support they seem to get from various governments. Bail-ins are one of the tricks used to "steal" depositors money, and move it to the coffers of the wealthy elite. I think it is important for this to be discussed openly in a mature fashion, and I hope that Bitcoin Talk members will take part in this discussion. On the face of it, the second video poster about chaos theory may not seem to be relevant, but, in my opinion, financial chaos will be created by the collapse of the current banking system, and that will obviously create price volatility. As the poster states, this volatility will create profit opportunities for those who are prepared to seize them. I am grateful to the member for posting that video.

The world is certainly not run by idiots. It is run by old established dynasties. The idiots are the ones who think that the Governments are in control, you only have to look at the Brexit manipulations to see that this isn't true. A few centuries ago, the Knights Templar tried to destroy Islam, and their descendants still try to continue the family "business". However, these days they have worked out that if you arm and support all the various Muslim factions, they will attempt to destroy each other, and do the work for them. This is just one way that they continue their ambitions to create a super elite, and of course the taxpayers fund their project and make them vast profits as well.

However, countries do have to maintain military superiority, so countries with less scientific concerns could easily rise to prominence if we don't have at least a sizeable budget.
Such as Germany, who became the economic power house of Europe without any military spending. A reduction in military spending helped Russia to build its economy, but the greatest help that Russia has had in this has been US sanctions. China didn't have much military spending whilst it built its trading dominance. Japan was banned from having a significant military force after the last war, and their economy strengthened as a result. The Anglophone empire is probably the richest state in the world at the moment, and they have achieved this by using the Military forces of America, The UK, France and others. Fighting and military extravagance weakens a country, unless it can combine it with occupation and exploitation.

Bitcoins "dominance" is minute in the world of virtual currencies. With people not really understanding what makes a crypto-currency, and calling anything that is a new virtual currency a "crypto", it's perceived dominance will tank when the governments start to introduce their "cryptos",

Actually, the most important thing is to get your posts read, and many of us just skip over stupid posts that are pretending to be web pages. This is a discussion forum, and not a webmaster's design showcase.

The Costa coffee shops are giving away a free mug of coffee for a week starting from next Tuesday. Their free WiFi isn't bad either. Now all I have to do is to find Costa coffee shops where I don't have to pay for parking.

By the way, is the military spending really necessary?
Of course it is - how else will the deep state kill loads of the world population, screw up the environment, and keep their taxpayers in debt slavery?

My personal opinion and what I really want to happen by 2050 is complete eradication of Religion from this world.
If God doesn't exist, then man will need to create the concept. He understands the concept of death, and many are frightened of it. Creating a deity, and an eternal life is one way of coping with the fear.

It looks as if they are even getting their publicity threads stared in Meta, so it is already leading to spam.

I've owned JetCash.com since 2002, and it seemed to be a suitable name for a crypto payments identity.

I think the reference to a "golden opportunity" harks back to the days when gold was used for ornamentation, and was a display of wealth. Bitcoin doesn't really lend itself to this. Bitcoin is much more of a subtle investment, rather like the Savile Row tailors who put their labels inside the inner pocket of a jacket, so that they are not on display.
