I fully agree with the points you brought up. Provably fair is dangerous to gamblers as it gives them a truly false sense of security. I still feel there isn't a strong enough provably fair method for off-chain sites, the only site I feel is very provably fair is Satoshidice and I've heard of potential ways for them to game their system as well (I don't believe they ever have or would).
A while ago I spoke with someone who was working on "Provably fair II" but he never ended up finishing his work. Until there is some sort of stronger trustless system in place, users should only gamble on sites they personally trust. Also it is important to change your seeds and make them your own (if applicable) as frequently as possible and actually check your results. While we finish PD3 I'm open to any feedback on how we can create a more simple/secure provable fair system to the point where users will actually verify their rolls.
Ultimately even the strongest provably fair relies on the operator/website to not be a bad actor as virtually anything can be deleted or changed to enforce a "provable result". This all goes without saying that 90%+ of players do not even check the fairness of their rolls or only check them once.
I personally think provably fair while arguably much better than RNG is still very stupid and dangerous if not used properly. Right now provably fair is in its infancy, as this industry continues to grow it is inevitable that an open source standard will be created for all websites to abide by which will be watched over by third parties or the entire community. The main issue is that most users simply do not understand how provable fairness works, it confuses me as well still to an extent. There are infinite custom implementations of "provably fair" so it won't mean the same thing from site to site or even be provable in most instances, this is the issue this community is presented with.

Just noticed this. Slightly interesting and not sure if I've ever seen it before! High rollers completely "green" or full of wins! The payouts set are low, but none the less! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fpuu.sh%2F8s5Z3%2F51772ee7b6.jpg&t=663&c=x_Y2Z44nqG1rHQ) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fpuu.sh%2F8s5ZG%2Fadd62f29df.jpg&t=663&c=cZVowFMrxf8LaQ) Congratulations all!

Is it common knowledge how points will be accrued to get a "better" faucet with pd3? I'm hoping since I've been around a while that will factor in somehow.
Also I saw there another site offering 5555 satoshi faucet but only every half hour.
We have a leveling system (level 1 - level 30) You gain experience and therefore levels by being active on the site, placing bets, referring users, unlocking achievements. This sounds promising! People are suckers for achievements, especially if it actually benefits them over time. I still remember trying to get as many achievements as possible in WoW. This will probably awaken some of those cravings. ;P Most of PrimeDice's developers/associates have come from a gaming sort of back round so we know exactly what you're talking about! Hopefully it can be a bit of fun for people who wish to play along with it. For those more serious gamblers, it will not affect the experience in any way what so ever!

Based on Stunna's response to my post, it doesn't sound like the older members of PD2 will get anything special in terms of starting at a higher level. That would be a bummer.
I'm trying to figure out a way I can allow for this, importing accounts isn't a simple option though as the back-end has been completely rebuilt from scratch and we have a completely different DB/structure. Doing it manually would be a major hassle as well.

Faucet has been upped to 500 Satoshi's
I wish it hadn't ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) . I waste too much time playing on the faucet and this will just encourage me more now ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . How much is the whitelist? 1000? No, whitelist is 500. Just to clarify, whitelist should be giving 1000

Faucet has been upped to 500 Satoshi's per minute!
If any bots abuse this it will be lowered again, but this hopefully won't be an issue with our new bot detection system.
Good luck betting all!

We've been encountering quite a few bugs particularly with PVP that we are working on ironing out before launching. Something I'm thinking about adding is a "Streak" feature on the auto-bet tool. I've noticed tons of players that will bet 0BTC many times until they reach a loss streak of 3-5 in a row or so. With the streak option this could be done automatically. This doesn't quite change the odds but I know a lot of people still feel more comfortable by fulfilling certain superstitions.
On another note, there's been a massive delay on launching this. I firmly believed it would have been ready for late January. please bear with us while we try and perfect this for your enjoyment!
-Stunna
Since auto-bet features still seem to be in the works, would it be possible to add the option to limit the % of your bankroll you commit to an auto-bet run? Right now any increase on loss system usually leads to losing your entire deposit, which is a hassle, since it means a lot of depositing/withdrawing compared to adding an option like this. We have an option to stop at X profit or loss which should hopefully solve that issue.
