******UPDATE*************UPDATE******UPDATE******UPDATE******UPDATE******UPDATE

Okay so primedice sends me an email saying (verbatim):

Dev:

streaked losses after effected bet = 1:

Lain33: LOSS @ 0.0200000000000000000

Lain33: LOSS @ 0.0400000000000000000

= 0.12 Session 1 total effected profit

Lain33: LOSS  @ 0.01000000000000000000

Lain33: WIN    @ 0.02000000000000000000

Session 2:

0.02 total effected losses session 2. Streaked losses after effected bet = 0

Total due: .14

We've added a bonus due to delay

Adjusted total: 0.2

-----------------------------------------

WTF is this? I have been asking for the bet ID's for ages but the refuse to help any further. What kind of website advertises being fair then sends me this bullshit response? I must just 'beleive' this unofficial reponse from admin? WHERE THE HELL ARE THE BET ID'S -SURLEY IF THE DEVOLPER WENT THROUGH THE TROUBLE TO FIND MY BET HE WOULD ALSO INCLUDE THE BET ID'S IN THE REPLY -EVEN MORE SO SINCE I SPECIFICALLY STATED I REQUIRED THAT INFORMATION?!

Did they pay you 0.2 or are they saying you have to pay 0.2?
It sounds like they pay you 0.2, if so what is the problem?

You need to look back in the post. I argued that the bets affected the subsequent rolls, ie THE ROLLS DIRECTLY AFTER THE EFFECTED BETS WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN MADE IF I HAD WON THE BET. I LOST ABOUT 4BTC IN ONE SUCH ROLL AND I WANT PROOF THESE BETS WERE NOT THE ONES THAT CAUSED ME TO LOOSE 4BTC

We overpaid you a LOT already. We paid out .14 despite you winning the bet after that one and making back everything you lost. We didn't take that into account though. Then on TOP of that we rounded it up to .2

I'm also pretty sure we sent you all the relevant bet ID's. They don't mean anything though as we no longer publicly display our old database. You have to take our word for it. One thing I can tell you we are not interested in doing is unfairly taking BTC off our customers. You're being very unfair to me and the PD team. I understand we took a while to sort this out as it is a very difficult situation and it's all to do with a redundant part of the website.

Will be announced soon! Is a lot harder to choose winners than I thought, so many good entries!!

Thanks for your patience!
1407  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] SafeDice.com - 1% House Edge | Optional Variable Edge | Investment on: November 12, 2014, 10:33:18 AM
I said this before for Dice.ninja, Dicebitco.in & Everydice. All three of which stole millions in BTC.

Investment sites are extremely high risk. Do not trust unknown third parties with large amounts of coins.

@SafeDice, close investments and slowly build up your bank roll yourself. It'll be more profitable that way for you that way as well. If you're adamant on taking investments I'll be happy to verify your identity or help in 'escrowing' investment funds or server seeds. I recommend Dooglus for this job however as I'm sure he'll happily do it.

20 BTC deposit not credited, 4 confirmations and can't even type in chat because it's a new account, wtf?

Seems like you were credited before the 4th confirmation on my end... None the less you've already cashed out so I assume the issue was resolved Please email with any future issues.

Is the maximum pot back to 40 BTC? Or is it still halved for the time being?

Still halved for the time being. Sorry for any inconvenience.
1410  Economy / Gambling / Re: One of best dice sites is here, play with BTC or Doge, and free faucet on: November 10, 2014, 04:48:02 PM
Isn't 999dice a known scam site?

Yup, they manage to stay alive by offering a massive affiliate cut. Anyone who markets them is an accomplice to their scam in my opinion.
1411  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PRCDice.com new thread. Opened early 2013 and current largest invest dice site! on: November 10, 2014, 09:57:34 AM
I've always wondered about this, PRC dice claims they opened in early 2013? I don't recall them being around back then.

Anyways, I think Dean made a massive mistake by running off and ignoring his problems rather than paying out money that was rightfully owed to Doog. If Dooglus found a major vulnerability and feels he is owed funds why would you not deliver on it?
They opened back in 2013, but only offered poker then, however even the poker action began early this year about 5 months back, when Dean started offering a 50 mbtc free promotion. They opened up Dice just after JD shutdown(5 months back), as there wasn't an investment dice site after it shutdown. Now there is only dice for now.  Its a bit misguiding to claim about opening early in 2013.

Ah I see, pretty misleading. Last time I checked dice was not poker.

Should keep this in mind when I release primepoker  Wink

I don't know the full story but I honestly find it difficult to believe that Dooglus would leave Dean negative trust if this was a non-issue.

I think Bayareacoins is the only winner in all of this, noticed the sneaky referral link in OP. If you're going to use a referral link, you shouldn't be so deceptive about it Smiley

PD is down for me for the last 12 hours. Anybody else experiencing this or is this is a specific issue for me?

Haven't had downtime for a while.

Try using the link www.primedice.com/play

If that doesn't work try a new browser

@Stunna: It looks like you limited the amount of bets per account. would it be possible to delay the request, instead of sending a 0 size reply (429)? this would benefit your backend also...

This was due to many people abusing the API and spamming bets. This was essentially slowing down rolls for everyone else.

1418  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshi Dice -- Statistical Analysis on: November 07, 2014, 10:18:21 AM
SD, stay at 1.98%, so my 1.56% doesn't look bad. hehe.

We've considered raising the primedice edge for a long time, 1% is extremely risky and often unsustainable without a solid bankroll or low max bet. It would be interesting to figure out the elasticity of the house edge on dice in terms of how much volume/profit a site would lose or gain by shifting the edge. When primedice had a 0.9% edge I don't think it made any difference on volume, however the way we integrated it via jackpot made it still seem like a 1% game with an easily forgettable added incentive.

In my opinion it makes more sense to set a 1.9-2% edge rather than a 1.5% one. People who care about the edge would probably stick to 1% so you'd entirely lose that audience while profiting more off of the audience you did obtain which clearly don't care about the odds as much. That's my opinion at least, if more dice sites shut down/run off with funds we'd probably consider raising edge but no plans to right now. When PD was about to launch we had decided on a 1.5-1.6% edge if I recall correctly, satoshidice had plans to release a new off-chain site around then (may '13) and coinroll had kept a 1% edge due to that reason and we ended up matching it to stay competitive. I wonder what sort of edge bitcoin casinos would have if things didn't progress that way though, if primedice was sitting at a 1.5-2% edge would just-dice and all investment sites have followed suit?
1419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | The Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 1% Edge | PVP | Active Chat | Faucet on: November 07, 2014, 09:18:55 AM
Did you photoshop that? Or create it by editing HTML?

The odds of losing 9 98% bets in a row are 1953 trillion to 1 against. ie. it didn't happen.

I mean you could start betting and it happens after ninth bet & even happens after Ninety-eighth bet again .
It could happen 100 times in two thousand of bets continuously and low possibility doesn't guarantee it couldn't ( or didn't ) happens .

Yes, each bet is random. We're talking about the odds of such a streak happening.

There's a very very small chance that the sequence in the fake screenshot actually happened, but it is so slight that I'm certain it didn't happen.

2000 trillion is such a big number. It's more than a million times the number of bets that have ever happened on PrimeDice. In other words if PrimeDice ran for a million years at its current level of activity, you would still probably not see such a streak.

Given the ease with which screenshots can be faked, and the near impossibility of such a streak really happening, I'm prepared to say it didn't happen.

It didn't happen from what I can see, notice the bet ID's are hidden and when we checked our DB we didn't find any streaks like that.

edit: confirmed fake from creator http://www.reddit.com/r/Primedice/comments/2lgzlc/thanks_stunna_and_edward/

Also occasional deposits are being a bit slow as of right now, they seem to be coming through within 1 confirmation in most cases, 2-3 in others.

Also a reminder: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=832301.0

3 days left to submit a video for the 4BTC competition

On a final note we fixed the intermittent lag issues, turns out an affiliate query was the culprit.
