1622  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 0.91% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 12, 2014, 09:40:55 PM
I just played on a user named "viralice". I bet 357 bets on 1.51x payout always betting Low. My luck is only 82.39% which seems really low. Technically shouldn't this number tend towards 100% if I don't change the payout? I should (In a perfect world) win 65.56% of the time which would be 357 x 0.6556 = 234 wins. But I only won 218. Now I'm not complaining, just trying to understand the "Luck" %. I did win in the end, but had to vary the bet.

357 bets is a very small amount of bets. We conducted luck on every single user of PD3 and I believe it averages out somewhere between 100.01%-100.02% . Can provide more information later with regards to general site stats.

Also we're working on fixing mobile issues still, sorry for delay.

Just applied to the program Smiley

Will boost you now, we got rid of the form so you can simply just post usernames here if interested as long as you have a PD related signature with your ref link. Will try to keep everyone boosted within 24 hours of their post.
1624  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PrimeDice Faucet Scam on: September 12, 2014, 04:42:14 AM
This website gave out free money and now gives out less but still considerably decent free money. Such a scam!

We're working on a re-work of the faucet system anyways which should be pretty cool. (less frequent but higher rewards through a minigame).

Honestly, if you truly do feel this way then I can't be happier that you are quitting the website.

By the way I'll clarify one thing, the reason you might notice your faucet is significantly nerfed in not just counter but amount is if you posted a ton of very short spammy chat messages to get your faucet count up. If you wagered 1000 coins and made zero chat messages or any amount of chat messages longer than 2-3 words your faucet shouldn't be effected much beyond cooldown.
1625  Economy / Services / Re: [Primedice] Affiliate Program: Passively earn 20% of house edge on: September 12, 2014, 12:54:56 AM
Hey I have applied but my rate is still 10%

Thanks

Applied as well, now need people to register and play using my ref link!! Tongue

Let's be a bit patient

Everyone that has applied has been boosted to 20%

Still need some SEO help

I'm only interested in working with someone who will guarantee rankings within a negotiated range or no pay.

No blackhat/spammy SEO work. Post if interested, will pick one person. The rankings will be somewhat competitive but please only contact me if you have success with repairing severely SEO damaged websites in the past.

To give you an idea of where we are at after being attacked with bad backlinks by a competitor a handful of months ago:

We currently are not within the first 120 results for "bitcoin dice" despite being the most popular dicing site and the #1 suggested search for bitcoin dice.

1627  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 0.91% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 11, 2014, 02:36:44 PM
Anyone have an issue where referrals aren't counted in the Achievements page but exist on the Referrals page? Do they need to bet a particular amount for it to apply to levels?

Achievements for referrals are bugged for a lot of users, we'll work on fixing that. Our developer has told me that he will try his best to put mobile live tonight as well.

With regards to faucet, we've already started brainstorming a completely brand new system to replace the faucet that I think people might like. The new system will value less frequent but much higher rewards. I think it is pretty unfair that people who farmed the faucet for 5+ hours/day are calling the current nerf greedy. I've always believed that faucet was something for users to claim for fun and to test out the website, not to pay their rent.

Ultimately what was happening:

1. People spammed chat to level up

2. Users sold their high level accounts

3. High level accounts claim faucet 10+hrs/day

The initial nerf which I believe we have since removed nerfed all 1 word chat messages which is why some users saw their chat count and thus faucet plummet to 10% of their previous total.

This isn't the first time we've had to nerf faucet in PD history, it has taught me many important lessons namely that it is better not to offer something than offer it and reduce it later.

Our massive giveaway is still to come in the near future.
1628  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 0.91% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 11, 2014, 03:00:01 AM
The new faucet system no longer incentivizes chat but still has the same minimum and maximum values. New accounts will still start with 500 satoshis as their faucet values, it's just that now chat doesn't increase it as much as it used to.   An anti-botting mechanism has been added as well.  After a certain amount of claims, your claim amount will reduce exponentially with an hour cooldown.

This is exactly what I was talking about.  I'm 100% serious, in the US, this is considered a breach of contract because people bet just to get a higher faucet.  Now it's being taken away.

I also would like to be 100% clear that the faucet has no guarantees associated with it.  The faucet or even site itself could be ended at any time and no one would receive compensation other than your balance on the site, which is of course, yours.
1629  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 0.91% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: September 10, 2014, 08:42:18 PM
I appreciate your responses as I am looking to find a system that is beneficial to real users of the site without being abused too easily.  There are some users with over half a bitcoin claimed off the faucet, which was becoming unsustainable.
1630  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice Moderator Positions Open - Apply or Nominate! on: September 10, 2014, 06:09:47 PM
when will be the MODS picked?

Adding one today, will be adding another tomorrow.

Primedice username: DiamondCardz
How long have you been apart of PD community: Since early PD1. I've been through MANY, MANY, MANY accounts due to multiple hiatuses from PrimeDice.
Your chat message count: 733 on this account.
What you have to offer: As an owner of my own MC Server I'm quite experienced with moderating, having had to moderate lots of different situations. I've also been staff on various sites as you probably know from the MD situation. I'm aware my chat message count isn't the highest - however I do believe that my range of experience with moderating should make up for that and then some. I know the different situations and I know how to deal with someone who is breaking the rules. I feel like I could help out on the PrimeDice chat by responding to situations quickly and efficiently rather than just having to watch rule-breakers get away with it for a long time before being muted.

Thanks for looking over my app, whether you decide to approve it or not!

Approved.  Smiley  Confident you'll be great.

oh my God this is insane...

even its free but for 5 minutes cooldown is too long..

please make its at least 2-3 minutes just like other site...

thanks

We'll be rolling out a better system to deal with this soon, we just had to put this up as we are being abused really hard right now.

Note 4: As said, we are planning to go private funded. I think we proved we are not "flying" with bankrolls . ideal would be a BR of 2k coins, so we can offer at least 10 BTC bets. Multisig cold wallet, investors can have the roll server for full trancparency. We will do all the admin work, UI, support ticket, development, exactly as we were doing till today and before the fuckup. We propose a 30% cut for our work. if you have some serious propositions, drop up a support message.

PM me later, I can probably point you in the direction of some good UI designers for when you make your next website under a fresh name.

Note 7: Stunna, its funny how you were the FIRST to put negative trust, open scammer accuisation(?) on forum and all the crap you are firing from us from the start, no matter if from first second this went off I kept refunding everyone plus we never haulted withdrawals. A big FUCK YOU to you personally, because your character stinks from Khm away. You cannot stand competition and for good reason. You would lose any fucking given time.

I guess I'm just beginning to enter my scam detection prime. If I couldn't stand competition I probably wouldn't be involved in the most competitive market in bitcoin.  Cheesy Guess you didn't get the last word after all either.
1633  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 08, 2014, 04:09:11 PM
you should look at this from the bright side, DB broke few records today

over 40,000BTC wagered in one day
luckiest dice player that ever played on DB, (Nakowa is baby compared to Mateo)

any others I'm missing?

Nakowa once bet over 1 million BTC is a single day.

I don't know that we'll ever get to see a record of Mateo's bets to check who is luckier - though nakowa never won more than 14% of the bankroll in a single week, and Mateo seems to be on his way to winning 100% of it in a single day, so I guess we have our answer.

https://i.imgur.com/oqIJodc.png shows nakowa winning 10k BTC (from -8k to +2k) in a little over 3000 bets.

Whales do happen, but the timing and luck of this one are uncanny.

Honoring the possibility that this "whale" is legitimate is pure naivety. Myself and others predicted this would happen right after the scam, it's the natural move for DB owners. An undetectable method to further their scam which was crushed prematurely. This has further shown me how stupid investments are, what people have to realize is how much could have been scammed by this.

DB rode the coattails of dooglus's fame somehow convincing him that they were worthy of trust and the "dooglus" effect herded thousands of sheep into position. DB could have easily and undetectably scammed tens of thousands of coins if this wasn't uncovered so soon. I still wrestle daily with the idea of whether or not I trust that Nakowa was real. I can only Imagine the whales we'd see come out of DB if it lasted an additional year or two.

Investing is the quickest way to lose your bitcoins. Don't be sheep, from this point forward I won't feel sorry for anyone who loses funds to these ponzi like services. DB will be back with a new design, just give them another week or two.

Slexy, the wonder user.

He made 1 roll, and he hit it.

Gratulations!

What a lucky first-bet from a whale lol. Congrats. Grin

hope stunna has something planned for the billionth bet Smiley

May be a special jackpot for the 10,000,000th bet? Grin

Appears he had some luck on a prior account as well, not quite his first bet Smiley.  via pd3.co:

Sept 7 Update
In another news mobile/keyboard commands are still being completed I'll also start posting and contacting people who may be owed funds from PD2 (for a general PD2 bet it appears the edge was falsely advertised as 1% when it was 1.01% in reality). This was brought to my attention after the launch of PD3 and I will begin to remedy this situation later tomorrow. If you bet on PD2 it is extremely unlikely you were impacted but you will soon know.

If anything the dicebitcoin situation should demonstrate to people that investment schemes are not provably fair and should not be trusted.

"Even if you had profit"

You make it sound like scamming people is okay as long as they have a net profit. Your logic = refunding positive users owed funds is some great service to them.

Also I love how this thread is made right after a mysterious whale wins 150 coins or so. Seems a bit coincidental huh.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "whale" win 300 coins off investors and then those same funds used to pay off people who were scammed to keep this going.

Note: I'll take a break from harassing you after the people here are paid. I will lock/edit my thread against you as well if stars receives payment within 3 hours.

I was online when this issue started on DB.  Should have withdrawn my investment then and am starting to doubt the 'lucky' gambler story suddenly having a great winning streak just as this issue was blowing up.

In the few hours that have passed, the site's operator has been busy giving refunds and trying to track down the cause of the problem.  Its been less than 12 hours, so I doubt a FULL audit of all the code used to operate the site has been done.  Everything should be checked.  Deposits, withdrawals, investment calculations, all the servers and PCs for backdoors.  Who knows what else the rogue developer has left.  If they were willing to cheat before they are sure to see no problem in stealing now.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "whale" win 300 coins off investors and then those same funds used to pay off people who were scammed to keep this going.

Note the timestamp. Either DB is going to continue to go for this route or have the whale lose back funds and be like "look we're legit!"

1639  Economy / Scam Accusations / Dicebitco.in Investment dice scam on: September 08, 2014, 12:12:16 AM
User Profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=355700

The discussion starts around here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=716312.msg8715769#msg8715769

Basic summary: A two part scam

Website was caught skipping nonces to rig rolls.  This would in effect allow them to maintain a 1% house edge profit for investors, thus attract more and more investments while allowing them to still skim the site investors of all legitimate profits made. Individual users such as stars have told me that they are owed 50+ coins.

Their defense:

They claim that a new rogue developer they hired was rigging the rolls to scam them but around 2 days before the incident there is proof of them saying that the only people involved are the original two: https://i.imgur.com/SJvuc1Q.png  (refutes their argument)

Example of one of the scams:

User stars was scammed 60+ coins according to Dooglus: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=716312.msg8721251#msg8721251

As a result of this around 4000-5000 coins have already been divested. 100s of coins are owed to people who placed wagers. They still appear to be honoring divestments though so I recommend divesting your funds for the time being.

Update 1: chat on dicebitcoin is now disabled and they are refusing to return a lot of owed funds.
1640  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: September 07, 2014, 10:53:52 PM
I am sorry if i dont reply fast, i keep refreshing hot wallet(just sent 2k coins more).

What just makes me sad, apart from the big blow of the site, is that people miss the picture.

So we wanted to cheat. And scam.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE explain me why i am refunding people from my wallet AND didnt simply take the 7k coins and GO?

That goes to Stunna as well, which he didnt lose opportunity to put me a negative trust. I guess this fuckup is the perfect gift for him.

Oh well.

You are free to charge me with whatever accusations you wish. But scammer : no. Last time i checked in my books, scammers dont return the loot of their"scam". Just saying.

This is all simple expected value/game theory. I'll quickly argue why you wouldn't scam the 7k coins with a single point

Assuming you outright/prematurely scammed 7k coins

* The bitcoin community would hunt/dox you and put your life and livelihood in danger.

Here are the alternatives:

1. You skim off money from bankroll over time and make over 7k coins while remaining undetected and your trust continues to increase. (Ideal!)

2. You skim off money from bankroll over time and then run off with the funds.

#1 is obviously the ideal result while #2 results in the most profit but significant risk.

There's no such thing as being anonymous on the internet anymore, your point means nothing. You had an opportunity in the past to make your system reputable with the help of dooglus and chose not to do it, and I've been suspicious of you since. This isn't about me trying to attack a rival site, I have enough bitcoins to be content forever and I have a full time job outside of PD and near zero expenses or desire for valuable things. This is just me pointing out an obvious scam and refusing to be as naive as others, I've pointed out the dangers in your site previously.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a "whale" win 300 coins off investors and then those same funds used to pay off people who were scammed to keep this going or perhaps we'll see DB shut down and an identical website take its place.

I will not consider adding investments until it is 100% "provably fair" I recommend other people do not invest in these schemes until the implementation improves as well.
