Since launch we've noticed a lot of people storing large balances.

Due to this we'll be adding in 2FA in the coming days Smiley

I'm using Firefox any fixes or known problems with people trying to connect? I can't wait until I can play something.

Download Chrome , or make sure you are running the latest version of firefox.

If you are using google chrome and cannot access the website; the solution appears to update your browser to the newest version as Galbros mentioned.
1804  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 0% house edge PvP - Looking for opponents thread on: August 13, 2014, 10:48:15 AM
the idea of waiting for next block looks abit turn off as the wait for block might be quite long. Most of us at the moment is just having some quick fun, waiting will spoilt the fun Smiley

This will be optional. When you challenge someone you choose between instant & non instant Smiley
1805  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 0% house edge PvP - Looking for opponents thread on: August 13, 2014, 09:44:31 AM
PVP does not seem to be fair.

Let's say, one user challenges another user who "happens" to be web site, primedice.com.
Since web site knows challenger's seed, he definitely knows the next roll number.
So web site can cheat on users, manipulate games and win any games he wants, especially those big bets.

Explain to me if I am wrong.

There is no profit made by PD on PVP games, so why is PD is so stupid to make it so call "not fair" ?     Grin

By cheating on PVP game, PD does not make profit by house edge.
They can direct win your bitcoins. That's called "NOT FAIR". So that's why house edge is ZERO.
I hope I can get an answer here.

We're 100% aware of this currently.

PvP is currently in BETA stage. We're seeing the response we get.

There's soon to be a "Non instant" mode whereby your duel goes to "Pending". It will remain in this state until the next block comes in. When this block comes in the rolls are created using each users seeds & the block hash. Both players seeds will be revealed before this happens.

It will either be that method, or using another 3rd party output to add another level of randomness to the rolls, any ideas?

1806  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 Launched!!!!!!! | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: August 13, 2014, 07:26:34 AM
You receive 10x your bet. Meaning 9x your bet profit on top of whatever bet you made. So on a 2x multiplier you either profit 10x your bet or 8x your bet. Hope this makes sense.

Suppose I bet 1 BTC on a <0.01% bet and lose. Do I receive 10x my bet like you just said? That would be 10 BTC.

I would have given you 1 BTC, you would have given me 10 BTC, and the profit would be 9 BTC.

What am I missing?

You lost the 1 BTC bet.

You are essentially playing two games:

Betting on a 10x multiplier
Betting on (x)x multiplier.

You win the 10x mutiplier. 10 x 1 BTC = 9 BTC profit
You lose the (x) multiplier. -1 x 1 BTC = -1 BTC profit

9 BTC profit + (-1 BTC profit) = 8 BTC profit.

--

Doog you seem to have recently inhibited an extremely negative attitude towards Primedice. On dicebitco.in's thread you have a very positive attitude and are helpful towards them when pointing out issues you may have. Here you have a more incriminating sort of approach. Is there something wrong you'd like to talk about?
1807  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 Launched!!!!!!! | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: August 13, 2014, 07:15:08 AM
WOAH. Got jackpot lol! It was a low amount but I'm still really happy Smiley

Hmm they have jackpots?
That's neat didn't see that as a feature in PD2 wonder how it works but gz
Small but it was interesting for me ^_^.

The way it was advertised is that when you hit 77.77 exactly, you get a bonus of 10 times your stake, in addition to the bet being paid out as normal.

In this case the bet lost, and he made a profit of 8 times his stake (1210 * 8 = 9680), so the bonus was 9 times his stake.

I don't know if the jackpot is documented anywhere.

When I saw it advertised it said the jackpot reduced the house's 1% house edge to 0.9%, which it would if it paid out 10 times.

You receive 10x your bet. Meaning 9x your bet profit on top of whatever bet you made. So on a 2x multiplier you either profit 10x your bet or 8x your bet. Hope this makes sense.

There is this guy constantly flaming another player and going nuts because he lost a bet, but there are no mods.. what about a report option?

Hey, just tell everybody to use ignore option.

Click on username > ignore
Or type /ignore username

And unignore is /unignore username .

U dont need mods on pd anymore . Wink . Now im basicly more tips bot than mod. Lol. Cheesy

Yeah i would love that mobile version so much now when i dont have access to pc. Sad .
There are just couple of more things to fix on pd3 and then all focus will go into finishing that mobile version asap.
yeah I know you can ignore and I've told people to, but the guy only gets more mad and it kinda ruins.. the vibe. If you know what I mean. and the occasional phishing site/ref link spammer comes along too

Edit: this guy

Thankfully he just got muted by mdma

1809  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 Launched!!!!!!! | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: August 12, 2014, 07:57:17 PM
What if someone starts to spam other peoples ref link to get them have 0% commission?
Now someone will ask why would someone do such thing, as already asked above, so there is couple reasons: they just want to make harm for them, example user A leaves negative feedback user B at this forum and then user B spams users A ref link to make him not to get commission.
Second scenario is someone trying to get as many people banned as possible and hoping it will be noticed and they won't get banned and then he can spam his own ref link at the same time and not to get banned, becouse it is impossible to know who is the real spammer.

Things like this would have to be settled on a case by case basis. I do not think this will be a common issue though.

Initiating a withdrawal from old.primedice was working and now it is broken again.

Will be fixed later today

Im getting an empresion tha u think pd is paying somebody to spam theirs link. Which i must say its totaly not true.

PD pay people for all the users they bring to PD using their affiliate link.

That of course incentivises people to spread their affiliate link around.

So which PD can say "we're against spam", they have their incentives lined up in exactly the opposite direction. The more widely you get your affiliate link distributed, the more you make.

If PD didn't pay affiliates, this spam wouldn't happen.

THAT is what I mean when I say they pay people to spam.

Just-Dice never paid anyone to advertise and yet attracted *far* more business than PrimeDice. That seems like a pretty clear demonstration that advertising is necessary.

The forum has been littered with PrimeDice ads in signatures for a long time, and now people are being paid to spread affiliate links too. I'm just not sure the mess caused by all this advertising is worth the rewards (and yes, I know that's hypocritical of me to say when I have an ad in my own signature; I'm going to think about whether I should stop renting out my signature).

I'm more than happy to ban any users from the affiliate program/signature program for spamming as I just did with PrimeDiceOK. Naturally spam is going to be unpreventable with a program like this but I'm committed to banning anyone necessary from it to try and enforce it stays as spam free as possible. The fact that I will remove any spammers from either campaign without hesitation proves we don't support this activity. Some site called bitblackred often spams out PD chat and I understand how frustrating this is which is why I'm sincerely sorry for his activity.

With regards to your other point Just-dice didn't have to pay anyone to advertise, the players owned the bankroll and thus the site and were willing to advertise for free.

Also with regards to fixes,

Just uploaded a new bitcoind fix to stop the issue where some people weren't always being credited deposits

This will have drastically lowered our work load so we'll be able to roll out some new neat updates ASAP!

Some things to look forward to:

 - VIP Chat (A chat room that needs level 20+ to join)
 - Better PvP sockets connections (Will make PvP much smoother)
 - /Rain command (When you type /rain you can distribute a certain amount of BTC to last 20 people who have talked)
 - THE BIG 20 BITCOIN GIVEAWAY
 - Beggars blacklist (People added to begging black list can't receive tips)

Email support@primedice.com with any other suggestions!
1811  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 Launched!!!!!!! | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: August 12, 2014, 07:30:25 PM
I was playing PvP and I saw that I would lose so I left that duel and this happened:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-IQ1AmY3QM0s/U-nODmTUOJI/AAAAAAAAAHk/CjvLEOZ1sgQ/s1600/prime.PNG

Now I can't claim faucet because my balance is not zero  Huh

It's interesting that you can get a negative balance. That's probably a sign that something is exploitable.

Maybe you can duel against yourself on two accounts / two computers, and bet on both at the same time?

Also, there was a bunch of spam for PrimeDice overnight on a few other dice sites, filling the chat boxes and making conversation impossible. The spammer was spamming the address primedice3.com rather than primedice.com.

Fetching primedice3.com gives:

Quote
 HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently
  Location: http://primedice.com/?ref=PrimeDiceOK

So that tells us who the spammer is.

What's PD's policy on people spamming their affiliate link over and over?

If it was my site I would confiscate his funds, and make it clear that we do not accept people spamming the link.

But if it was my site I wouldn't be paying people to spam in the first place. Smiley

Will be lowering their commission to zero. That's incredibly frustrating and not what I want out of affiliates at all. Believe it or not I've seen the primedice3 url being spammed on primedice as well (I figured it was a phishing site.)

Edit: done:

So how has this whale managed to wager 620 BTC today?

There's something fishy about this whale. Smiley

Just realized the wagered on the header wasn't including bets in high roller tab, only all bets tab. That's why it has been lacking behind. Should be all good now.
1812  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 0% house edge PvP - Looking for opponents thread on: August 12, 2014, 03:59:51 PM
Hm, primedice doesn't seem to be loading for me.  It is just a blank screen (with the dark blueish background).
Any suggestions?  No error text either.

If you are using safari/IE that could be the issue.
1813  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 Launched!!!!!!! | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: August 12, 2014, 03:53:57 PM

Anybody know why this happened? I was manually betting 0.0005 and randomly my payout changed..

Fixing this issue now, I think if you are quickly changing settings while swiftly betting it can result in this bug. I've verified that you are indeed being truthful and credited your account.
Oh thank you! I was not complaining because I was upset about the small loss, more that I wasn't sure if it was some weird bug or had something to do with my roll or something.. Just didn't understand it.  Smiley

Hotfixing this now, what causes it is hitting roll over within a very quick moment after clicking roll, making it so you cannot switch this while a roll is taking place.

1815  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Luckynumber.me faking bet volume, using fake accounts to advertise on: August 12, 2014, 03:14:29 PM
Since the last post, luckynumber.me no longer shows other users cashouts.
Coincidence? I don't think so.

Luckynumber deleted his reply admitting to OP's claims a while ago but I took a screenshot of it knowing he might do just that.

1816  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice 3 Launched!!!!!!! | Most Popular Bitcoin Game! | 400k+ BTC Wagered | on: August 11, 2014, 09:32:29 PM
I've been unable to get PD3 to load for a day or so, but last time it was up I had about 2k satoshis, challenged someone to a 'duel' with them, watched the count-down reach zero, saw it say that the challenge hadn't been accepted, and then the site went down again.

Now it's back up, and my balance was zero. I just used the faucet, so have ~500 satoshis, but as you can see from the bet log, my last roll won more than that:

So I guess the duel happened, even though I was told it didn't.

That might be a bug you need to look into.

We think this is a socket related issue, when the site is getting spammed with requests we think that this is causing some PVP notifications not to appear and result screens not to show up either. Can still check results at http://primedice.com/#/pvplogs  until we have this sorted. Sorting out the sockets issue should sort out the majority of issues users are experiencing right now. If the bet didn't appear under pvplogs please let us know.

Also, currently the site does not work on mobile or Safari browsers only we are hoping to resolve this by the end of the week.

Hey MICRO,

I have seen your name quite often in Primedice related topics. Do you have any association with them or are you just trying to help them out? Anyway, nice to see a PvP feature and I will most likely challenge you in the future. Grin

Moderates our chat and manages the Facebook page. Very helpful guy!
