2181  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: January 17, 2017, 10:18:19 AM
I just had to simplify my answer, it is good that you must invest your money. For some reasons, you can have your money be doubled in due time. But we must see to it also that you invest it with your knowledge and understanding on what your taking up too.You work hard to earned, then for me the best way is to invest it to be used in the near future.

That's what OP should be doing with his $200 worth of bitcoin, he should maximize the use of it to earn more out of it. Most of the time the easiest is investing it in investment program, which is sometimes good, but most of the time turn wrong when the program starts to rob you. OP could try trading too, it's a little less risky compared to investing it, but, the earning there is a bit smaller since you can't predict the right timing all the time in when to buy and sell your stocks.

The more you risk with trading the more you can theoretically earn. The earning there is not smaller because you can't predict the right timing, it can only be smaller if you invest in it a small amount. Keep in mind of course that you are not guaranteed to profit from trading, you should know what you are doing.
2182  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: January 16, 2017, 12:48:10 PM
Is that you playing singy?

No, it's not him. He's just glad the guy wins and that it is possible on PD. Luck like this is very rare though. The guy is +49 BTC right now, registered today. I can't understand how's that even possible, but that's how it is.
2183  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-16] Bitcoin ATM Bandits Threaten Rivals With Death on: January 16, 2017, 12:05:40 PM
Detroit is making a name for itself as the badlands of America once more - but this time round, it’s all about Bitcoin ATM crime.

According to a complaint filed in the Northern Illinois District Court last month, an unlikely situation has transpired in which a group of men are allegedly smashing up Bitcoin ATMs to eradicate competition in the area.

The machines targeted are owned by the plaintiff, Bitcoin of America, which alleges almost 20 of its 70 BTMs have had their screens smashed over a nine-month period.

I hate those wannabe gangsters more than anything. It's 21st century ffs, why do these imbeciles, Andrew Konja and his brothers, act like they are in 1930s? If I were the judge I'd give those degenerates maximum sentences. There is no place in the Bitcoin world for such people. Bitcoin is the future and they are from the past.
2184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Worldwide! on: January 16, 2017, 11:42:19 AM
Are there countries that do not accept Bitcoin? I mean no idea regarding it. What do you think will happen to Bitcoin 5years from now? I'm not asking you to be a psychic to see the future. I'm asking about your idea about Bitcoin's future. TIA!

Bitcoin is accepted on the PHILIPPINES but the government here did not introduce people to bitcoin, only non government people introduce it to us. Like bitcoin users that makes a group on facebook and make a post on the group on what is bitcoin and how to use it. Also some person make an organization that makes a conference or a symposium that introduce people to bitcoin but that person is not government related or link person. I hope government will appreciate the beauty of bitcoin and the benefits of it.

Actually they have no choice. Smiley If they want to stay afloat they should learn more about Bitcoin and they should accept it the sooner the better. Ordinary money are losing their purchasing capacity every year and Bitcoin is only gaining it.
2185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit Gambling for Good, think for your loved ones on: January 16, 2017, 11:31:23 AM
Some of what you say here is true but that doesnt mean gambling will ruin your life. If you have an addictive personality and cannot control when to stop gambling, then yes you prob shouldnt gamble. If you have self control and just wanna toss a few dollars around here n there then youll be fine.

Self control in my opinion can be gained before you gamble or even after you gamble. On the other hand self control can also be gone during the time that you gamble that happens when you already are addicted to it. Although you are right as well because in the first place we gamble to release stress

Gambling is never done with the hope of releasing stress. Its done with the hope of earning more and when things go out of our expectation the stress gets burst. So need to have limits as well need to have a clear sketch on the reason to gamble. If you're a person holding large amount then it's cool, else it affects us much even if we lose with a small amount.

I disagree. Some of my friends gamble exactly for that reason. They know they will lose some money but that amount will be miniscule compared to what you should spend on doctors and on medications if you want to release stress and tension.
2186  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice, refund my money, or I will be die on: January 15, 2017, 06:56:30 PM
I can't explain how deeply I'm sorry for the OP. I feel bad even about losing 0.001 and I can't imagine how bad is it for someone to lose over 1.5 BTC. I hope they will find a good job in the future and recover the lost money with it in a short period of time and will never gamble again.

OP, do not try to recover those money with gambling or you'll end up in even bigger troubles.
2187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Decred: The Sleeping Giant. 2017's Best Investment. on: January 15, 2017, 06:22:06 PM
So, what have I missed? Was it over 0.0015 at least one minute? Because from what I see on Yobit DCR was 0.0014 max during the pump, but maybe there are other exchanges where it is listed.
2188  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: January 15, 2017, 05:55:41 PM
Is it possible to do money laundering via bitcoin? I mean as no one knows if you have bitcoin and how much bitcoin do you actually own, it could be used to convert black money to white right? Or at least store your black money without much hassle. But there is the risk of its value but I think for people who have lots of black money and don't want to be caught, this risk might be worth taking for them isn't it?
What are your thoughts?

When someone buys BTC with "dirty" money that's not exactly a money laundering. Assume you have lots of BTC, now what? If you'd buy an expensive car or a house with those BTC it would be still suspicious as if you'd bought them with the "dirty" money. Money laundering is when you buy a business and then make it to appear that it is profitable, although in reality it is not, and make people believe you made a lot of money from that business. Thus you might lose 30% of your "dirty money", but 70% of it would be "clean".
2189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst mistake in gambling on: January 13, 2017, 11:09:23 AM
I have made mistakes in gambling, for example; betting more than I should have, trusting the gaming site that you could always win, deposit money that I'm afraid to lose, trying different strategies that you know won't work, etc. I know a lot has been said and posted here; this is my experience and my mistakes. I'm trying to limit myself bit by bit and learning when to stop is key to a healthy gambling life.

If a site promises you that you could always win in their place you shouldn't go even once on that site, let alone depositing your money there.

IMO the worst mistake you can make in gambling is depositing on a gambling site more money than you can afford to lose. If you'd manage to avoid making that mistake you'd be okay.
2190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Venezuelans Turn to Bitcoin to Escape Financial Hardships on: January 13, 2017, 10:10:05 AM
Who is taking Venezuela currency for BTC? Why would that currency "which does not have any significant value anymore" and only getting worse be accepted by any person, mining company, or exchange dealing with BTC? How do they not get burned by having the lousy money?

Well, Venezuelan Bolivar costs 0.1 USD right now and the price is more or less stable during past several months. Since the probability of the Bolivar falling in the future is high it would be wise to exchange Bolivars for Bitcoins. That would be a good move for those who want to minimize the risk of losing all their money if the Bolivar crashes completely. Those people might lose 10% or a bit more during the exchange but at least they would save the rest 90%. And those who are experienced in trading for sure will buy Venezuelan Bolivar to profit from those who agree to sell it 10% cheaper than it is now.
2191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Decred: The Sleeping Giant. 2017's Best Investment. on: January 13, 2017, 09:39:59 AM
This is a nice thread indeed! It was started when DCR  was 0.00039 BTC and now it's 0.00095. I hope people who saw this earlier made some money on trading. Also I like the videos, they look very professional.
2192  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟2017's Best Bitcoin Gambling Site Award!🌟 on: January 13, 2017, 09:05:21 AM
Primedice.com is my favorite and I voted for the site. But as far as I understand for now this thread is for nominations mostly. Actually we can't call a site "2017's Best Bitcoin Gambling Site" in the beginning of the year, right?

Also it would be nice if newbie accounts were excluded from the voting, not only in this thread but everywhere on the forum. Then we'd have much more realistic pictures.
2193  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-01-12]EU Planning a Database That Link User IDs to Cryptocurrency Wallets on: January 13, 2017, 08:46:06 AM
The European Union is planning a database that will assign every cryptocurrency wallet to its holder’s identity. After recently being hit hard by Terrorist activities, the EU believes a lot of the funding for terrorism is done anonymously through bitcoin.

The current anonymity means you can send payments to a wallet without your identity being known. With the planned move of the EU, this won’t be the case. EU governments will be able to attach a user ID to every transaction done within the EU zone for incoming and outgoing transactions.

You can read the full article here: https://coinidol.com/eu-planning-a-database-to-link-user-ids-to-cryptocurrency-wallets/

Fighting terrorism is a good thing, but if normal people affected more than the terrorists by this fighting, that's not good. Terrorists will always find a way to bypass those measures and then only normal citizens will be suffering from them.

I personally can't imagine how this can be done in reality since one person can have unlimited number of BTC wallets.
2194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Excuses on: January 13, 2017, 08:32:19 AM
Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?

That would be really the worst thing one can do. If you already have debts you for sure shouldn't ask for a new loan to gamble with the money, because most likely you'll end up losing those money too and thus you'll go even deeper into the debt pit. There are no excuses for such behavior.
2195  Economy / Economics / Re: $1100 to $750 is significant on: January 12, 2017, 03:33:46 PM
In a price range such as this I was curious how most of you hold/trade your asset. Such as just hold and never sell, position trade based on price and or swap currencies through an exchange for another and or cash out.

There is no way i am selling at this price or even at $1100,  Bitcoin is worth far more, and i believe in 10 years we will look back at these prices and wish we had bought more.  I will either be a rich man or bitcoin is bust in 10 years  Grin

I wish you were right. I hope Bitcoin will return to $1,100 soon and then it will stabilze there. And I really think people shouldn't sell at $750 or at anything lower than $1,000. Have some faith in Bitcoin, guys, it will rise again.
2196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [DOGE] Will history repeat again? MOON on: January 12, 2017, 03:17:06 PM
It looks like it's coming...
What do you think? Smiley
https://www.tradingview.com/chart/DOGEBTC/sdmKJbM1-DOGE-Pattern/

Well, we'll see. From the pattern it looks like it is really not so crazy to expect a 200% or even 300% rise in price in the next month or two. But it's dropping on yobit right now though. Probably needs a few days more till the next pump, we'll see.

DOGE price will rise "pump" when Jaxx will add it to their platforms. It should be added  soon I think about time when Monero will get added. I think for DOGE woudl be better to get added a week before or after, but we will see what will actually happen. SoonTM

First of I can't understand why Jaxx haven't added DOGE to their platform yet. They already have DAO and REP, which are less familiar, to me at least, so why there is no DOGE? Second, I don't think the adding will affect the price of DOGE. Have it affected the price of the coins which are already added?
2197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc china fake volumes on: January 12, 2017, 02:25:15 PM
There arn't any fees on the chinese exchanges, so coins can be sold back and forth endlessly to paint the tape.

I didn't know they charge no fees, thanks for the info. Then I think they are doing this by themselves to boost the trading volume on their exchange. Investors and traders in general are more attracted to places with bigger volumes.
2198  Economy / Gambling / Re: Management and Development Team Required For New BTC Casino on: January 12, 2017, 02:10:41 PM
I understand that at this stage of development of your project you are mainly looking for developers and project managers.
But how about positions like community manager, social media manager, online support? Will you seeking for people to fill these spots in the future?

I was going to ask exactly the same thing. Do you, OP, need chat mods or other mods speaking different languages? Are you going to launch a Signature Campaign to attract players to your site.

Concerning the positions you already need workers for, I'm going to send the link to your post to a friend of mine who already made couple of sites for banks and one for online poker, probably he'll be interested, depending on salaries of course.
2199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China? on: January 11, 2017, 05:22:26 PM
Is China trying to control Bitcoin?

If you mean they trade a lot and they mine a lot, yes, that's true. But is that a control? No. if you mean they can start panic selling or panic buying. Yes, probably they can, but I think all of that happens unintentionally and no one is able to predict the course of events. So that would be a dangerous game and no one wants that.
2200  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Chinese police raid miner factories in its oil capital city, 1k+ miners seized on: January 11, 2017, 04:53:10 PM
I am not a sympathizer, but I think they serve some utility.

At least when some hardware can no longer be profitable for people like me, I have the confidence that someone out there can still squeeze some satoshies out of it thus they won't be worthless junk.

I mean the existence of these electricity thieves contributed to the value of secondhand hardware, right?

That would be right if they really bought some used miners from you at a decent price. Did they? I doubt that. People like them usually set such low prices that all that thing practically helps nobody. I'm young and thus maybe I'm wrong in this particular case but I think generally thieves are stealing not from one place only.
