I will develop good practical home miners for usa home miners.

This looks interesting. Can you share more details about this?

And never say never. Sometimes new opportunities may arise. If it weren't for the distance, maybe we could make a good team.  Cheesy

USA stock power is 120 volts

Normal outlet can do 1800 watts.

So to hook up a miner with no electrical work at all.

So a top notch miner needs to be under 1500 watts. At full speed.

I think a top notch home miner needs to run from 400-1200 watts.
It needs to have a flexible gui.

I think I can do all this.

227  Economy / Economics / Re: What scares me from investing in gold. on: April 29, 2024, 11:40:08 PM
Actually investing in the gold not easy as our imagination depend physical gold investment or digital, some place have difference rule based on my country marketplace for selling gold with difference place or difference kinds of gold has difference values and has some market not acceptable if not their own gold. Its the same with OP case some market just available for buying only and get difficult for selling it later and another problem with physical gold investment get charge or fees every time transaction between selling or buying and its too much expensive in my local market place.

For investing with digital gold very difficult looking for the trusted site or place with have gold offer investment, so far I don't know which one place offer and trusted with gold digital for investing and have been operation or longer time.
Investing in gold, especially physical gold, is for the future. I think that cutting costs when selling is not a reason because the costs are quite small and gold is also likely to increase in price in the future.
In my country, it is the same as you said, not all places accept sales of gold except for places in our area where we buy it, but I think that can also be used as an excuse or fear because investing in gold is for the future and I think it is quite safe.

the op has made a thread so bad it is good.

the op has missed every point of why you buy gold.

the premium on gold at Costco is low. 2%
use a cc with discount points the gold ends up at spot.
Costco is safe to buy gold
selling gold is easy pease right here at bitcointalk.org a huge section of buyers that are good.

to anyone that wants to buy a few oz worth of gold to hodl for a decade thank the op for his thread.

I wonder if Costco paid him to write it. Cheesy
228  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2024 Diff thread happy New Years. on: April 29, 2024, 09:42:38 PM
A good site and I would go back into larger scale mining.

5-6 cent power would be good at least 2 years worth of it.

Well, finding a place with 6 cents for energy in the US must be complicated.
It has to be a huge energy contract, to get values close to that.

I am done for now shit happens and it did.

I will continue to mine a bit at a loss and sell off the gpus.

I will likely never mine at the 200-250kwatt level again.

I will develop good practical home miners for usa home miners.

I am playing with 1 board t21 using a 1500 watt 120 volt psu that can range from 12.5volt to 15.2 volt

with the Loki spoof chip. I hope to have a working model of this in under 1 -2 weeks.

As to why the mine ended I will say I failed to keep the other three guys in agreement as to the best options possible. So we broke it up instead.

Not the best way but it is the way it happened.

Yeah the charts have quite a few patterns to be looked at.

I find it encouraging to see all of 2021 slipping away.

hodl and patience is important
231  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 13/04/2024 on: April 29, 2024, 01:40:26 PM
I got me 7777

232  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2024 Diff thread happy New Years. on: April 29, 2024, 01:36:16 PM
yeah I am done. mining a few kwatts at a loss at home.  and selling gpus on eBay.

It really is a shame to have to leave mining like this.

What do you think it would take to get back? Get cheaper energy or more efficient mining equipment?

A good site and I would go back into larger scale mining.

5-6 cent power would be good at least 2 years worth of it.
233  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something is seriously wrong with bitcoin markets. No liquidity? Should we sell? on: April 29, 2024, 03:15:33 AM
so the op purchased at 44k and is now around 126k

sweating a lot and hands want to let go.

but lets see sell 50k worth hold 76k worth and you are a sure winner

still have lots of coin in hodl mode more than one  all original money is back in his pocket.

234  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 20 days for Bitcoin on: April 29, 2024, 01:50:24 AM
Still pushed another 2021 date out of the top 100.

hoping to fill the chart in with 100% 2024 numbers very soon
235  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 2024 Diff thread happy New Years. on: April 28, 2024, 10:35:03 PM
But isn't that 7 days average?
The daily reward has dropped like a stone, last blocked ‎3.377 BTC, which would be 490 BTC, let's keep things simple
500 BTC x 63 000k / 600 000 000 it would be  5.25 cents.

My actual payout per PH is as follows, just to show others the affect of transaction fees.

20-11-2024   = 0.0027BTC/ph
28-11-2024   = 0.00075BTC/ph

so that's 48$ per ph which is 4.8 cents per th, so even worse than what you calculated above  Cheesy, which sucks!

Wonder how mikeywith is doing too, let's see if he drops a few lines ..
FUDGEEEEEEEEE!

That's some serious fudge to be honest lol, I mean if you have S19 Pro and 7 cents you are basically mining at break-even, S19 pro might not be the latest gen but how old is it? and how much was it sold for? I would be very upset if I had that, then even if we were to assume that you magically had a 5 5-cent power rate which is pretty low by today's standard, that would be $2 a day, worse than S9 on its worst days a few years ago.

Remember, here we are only talking about the electricity bill, nothing more, if the difficulty doesn't drop then the ROI for all gears bought this year and even a few months prior to the halving will be NEVER, not in a year, not in 3 years even if you had 2-3 cents power, which is why I still think that miners are now playing the chicken game, there is no way that all current hashrate can be sustained with the current price and transaction fee.

Quote
It will be for sure negative at the end of the period, it's a bit of nonsense to see it grow at the worst income per th we had in a year.

Ya, it's very unlikely to see it grow, in fact, i would say the same thing about the previous epoch (I did say) but then thanks to the transaction fees, blocks were larger than before the halving, but then again, if all large miners are playing the chicken game it means they are all pushing the pedal harder, so it won't be impossible for this epoch or even the next one to have some upside until the cars crash into one another and the weak cars leave.

Although I still think, that the chicken game is still being played even if all players are already at their last bit of it and can't push any further, the few coming epochs will be fun to watch, if the price doesn't go up or even worse/better goes down, get your self some large supply of popcorn and fudge while you watch things unfold.

Phill, hope you holding strong bro, I feel for you.

yeah I am done. mining a few kwatts at a loss at home.  and selling gpus on eBay.
236  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: If you have $200,000,but no miners, no mining experience, and no cheap electricit on: April 28, 2024, 09:23:15 PM
this is a great time to build a mine.  but and this is the big but five or six cent power is a must.

the s21 the modded t21 i did on my thread and ths L7 are very very very very good to make a mine with but you need five or six cent power.
I will choose to wait a little to see what Canaan and MicroBT will offer, as the latest version of the S21 Pro with the energy efficiency of 15J/TH, 234Th/s and a price of ~$5,500 means that the possibility of mining at a loss will be less, if Canaan and MicroBT provide better models. I will buy them, otherwise the S21 Pro is an ideal choice.

no as I said 5 or 6 cent power and t21's modded for this 200k price point is better

t21 to my house for 3229 in under 2 weeks

the mods to go to 1 phase  230 volts cost . 300 a unit.

so 3529 a unit running at 190th doing 17-19 watts are killer compared to the s21pro   which would be  5300 and come 3 months later.

I save 1700 a unit and mine for 3 months ahead of time the s21 pro would take over 18 months to get close to my head start

my problem is getting 5-6 cent power from a trusted supply
237  Other / Meta / Re: Post per day/ per month falling. on: April 28, 2024, 09:09:24 PM
~snip~
Though they probably may be having many more registered accounts sooner or later than BTT as the traffic there grows since it's much easier to rank up there and also getting reputation because the forum is still growing, which is an advantage for getting picked in a campaign. Also as the traffic grows the pay will likely increase aside from the fact that mixers campaign pays more than any other campaigns while altcoinstalks is not just limited to mixers campaign, others  will definitely come and try.

Registered accounts don't make much sense if we take into account the number of quality members on both forums. Regardless of members who "teleported" to another forum and members who have been there before, I think that BTT is still far ahead when it comes to the number of quality members, and therefore the content they create.

The pay rates on the other forum are still almost half as much as here, and at the moment I don't see that there will be any big increase - because top mixers used to pay $200 + per week for 30-35 posts on BTT, and now they pay about $50 for the same number of posts on another forum. If they could raise it to at least $100+ per week, I'm sure they would attract more quality members from this forum.

absolutely.  but as I said I suspect there was a large farm or 2 or 3  doing miners here.

and if they did 10 accounts 40 posts a week that is 400 posts gone say 1650-1700 a month
if they did 20 accounts 40 posts a week that is 800 posts gone weekly say 3300-3400 a month

so two farms that size means 5100 posts lost monthly

just think that could have been 13000 usd a month income lost for the farms.

I like to think that a hidden benefit of the mixer dump is we killed off a few farms.

I can't generate that much traffic just by myself especially since I am honest and only do a signature here.

But 70-140 posts a week I can do clean and legit.

If I bothered I could do three or four accounts with 30-40 posts a week which would have made money at a decent rate doing the mixing.

Maybe I could have done 200 posts a week and made 600-800 a week.

I do not operate that way but I know how to do that. I am not the only one that knows how.

Have to think these people just stopped posting what do all that at altcointalks for only 150-200 a week.  Since you need to properly tack and account for all four accounts to look like you are not the same person.

240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can a seed phrase on steel or titanium sheet survive this flood? on: April 28, 2024, 01:48:52 PM
First off the plate needs to be in a water proof box.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09X2RR6F6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AIW3ELUIMUT4F&psc=1

and that needs to be a bigger box.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S8133TH/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1OPA7OUBSDTFY&psc=1

if the sheet is double boxed
and coded along  with a return address in the double box. then place in a flood resistant place

that will not be crushed you should be okay.
