2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "If you were the President of the DGC Foundation, what would be your next step?" on: March 27, 2015, 04:51:53 AM
Sorry, but "we don't want to go DRK way" is absolute bullshit Cheesy

You, me and everyone else involved with DGC in any way, and specially by holding it, would kill for going DRK way. Going DRK way is all that matters in this industry and it's the single way for coin to prospect and be in people's minds with 1000+ other coins around. Volume, pumps, volume, more pumps, volume, price rise is the only way for coins to get any following, do you think so many mainstream companies would adapt Bitcoin if it was still 5$ a piece? It would my ass, nobody but oldtimers from that pweiod would know about it and there would be no marketing purposes of adapting it.

"We're doing it our own way silently in the background" is just a nothing marketing line translating to we're where we are and don't have idea what to do to go up from here. I understand that, I don't have idea too. DGC had it's chance being in first group of alt revolution but unfortunately Baritus screwed it a lot when it mattered most and some significant stuff is required to bring it back to the spotlight. It's shame, really shame, it's name only should make it to top 10 alts out there.

http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=a_massive_investigation_of_instamines_and_fastmines_for_the_top_alt_coins#digitalcoin

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dgc/#!rich

Digitalcoin was started May 2013, no premine or instamine, decent distribution since PoW rewards are kept long term. Recently changed rewards to 5 coins every 40 seconds, ~18m in circulation right now. We're open to changing the parameters whenever people want, we reduced the mint rate in an effort to stabilize market price and attract investor interest. We also added SHA256 and x11 hashing algorithms along with scrypt after Myriadcoin developed multiple algorithm hashing.

Looking for undervalued coins. Monero is grossly overvalued. Hype and huck might take it a little higher but there are so many warning signs around Monero it is basically toxic.

Nice to see some sanity around here  Smiley

Yep, DGC for me too. Digitalcoin is, and will always be, the best name for cryptocoin. That alone is worth more than anything 90% coins that are doing better than it has but unfortunately it doesn't have support of any big guys so coins with volume and regular pumps on exchanges beat it.
2203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "If you were the President of the DGC Foundation, what would be your next step?" on: March 26, 2015, 04:41:02 AM
Not sure what you should do but it's shame to see DGC not doing as good as it should. For me, it still has, and always will have, the best name of all cryptos out there, including Bitcoin. I thought changing algorithm would help but it looks it wasn't caught by people too.

It's hard to compete in the crazy world off all these coins and in the middle of this brutal bear market, guess Baritus actions did some harm too. Anyway, I still have 200k of DGC from many moons ago that nobody will get cheap from me, and hope it will get it's place under the sun of successful coins at some time.

Anyway, I think you should emphasize the coin's top name bit more, it's the biggest selling point for DGC. Than, it needs to come back to people's minds again and for that you'd need some good news and lot of BTC to pump and support it's price. Pump is not some perfect fundamental stuff but it does bring coin to the spotlight, there is nothing really DOGE is better than DGC in except having a volume on exchange and price level supported by lot of bids. DGC unfortunately lost that momo long time ago and doesn't have any big guys supporting it.

RIP Stamp, it was a good run.

Yup, totally left in the dust, just had to refresh to make sure the feed hadn't crashed.

they still have 10-15k daily volume, with their fees that's probably around 1000 BTC of profit monthly. Hardly RIP.

Luckily, I had only 0.1 btc there
2208  Economy / Speculation / Re: New auction for 50000 btc from US marshalls! on: February 21, 2015, 01:10:57 PM
Remember back in last summer, the Bitcoin raised up to 650$ after the auction, so, what about this time?

Actually, back then the Bitcoins were auctioned at a premium, compared to the market rate. That was the sole reason behind the Bitcoin rally then. Let's wait and watch what happens this time.

One man brought all the coins auctioned in the first auction and announced he was holding them all rather than selling. That's why we had a rally afterwards. There were many winners of lots in the second auction and I guess they dumped because there was crash after crash afterwards.

We did not have rally after it, we were in 600s when first auction was announced. Then chopping around that without idea how auction will play and then got dump few days after.

I'm feeling they might be scam too. They are not responding on my mails and calls at all.
2210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prepare for another year of slow declining prices on: February 10, 2015, 12:51:41 AM
it could rise to 6k in the next 6 months for all we know...

yes, that's what people said in the beginning of 2014...

And they were as legit back then in their predictions as you are now. To argue your calim with "because trend says so" is just plain retarded. Trend could turn over tomorrow for what we know, and yes that's as legit claim as OP.
"Trend could turn over tomorrow".
Without new money coming in exchanges and demand severly constantly decreasing, I seriously doubt that is possible  Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934650.0

I seriously doubt it too but it's as possible as "be prepared for another year of slow declining price". Both are generally bullshit claims with no facts to support it whatsoever.

Hmm Old Crypto taking big positions at BTCe. Could be bullish.

PPC was pumped and dumped like some whore. 200% up in 2 hours then dump to starting point.

Lol, sure, everyone would warn people to buy before he does.
2215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 01, 2015, 10:10:53 PM
Well, convincing people to sell in order to fill you own buy orders is not cool imo.
I don't think by making a comment here would make people sell their stash Tongue
Noobs might panic when trolls & their various sock puppets are spreading FUD.

Like counters.. Nothing gets the mob moving then a anticipation of missing out.

I will leave this here.

* that is the coolest gif I've seen since the bear driving the flaming car btw.
Thanks for that Grin

NP Cheesy

How long does it go? I stopped at 2 minutes Tongue
2216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: January 28, 2015, 04:28:38 PM
I know longterm (4+ years) long position from current levels down to zero is safe enough.

I am usually pretty good at deciphering the Lucif code, but today I am at a loss.
 Huh

What's not clear there? He said this price or any below it is good entry for long term (4+ years)
2217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Exchanges: Amateur hour is over on: January 25, 2015, 11:08:12 PM
What about Buttercoin? They sounds like decently serious US exchange.

It's not about geography, it's about legitimacy of those that run it.
2218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Exchanges: Amateur hour is over on: January 25, 2015, 11:06:48 PM
With the advent of two professional exchanges by the Winklevosses and Coinbase (which opens up tomorrow), people will finally be able to trust Bitcoin exchanges not to scam them out of their money or do blatant inside trading.

People will feel much more comfortable sending money to regulated exchanges run by people who know what they're doing and backed by venture capitalists (remember that NYSE recently invested in Coinbase) with a big stake in Bitcoin. The amateur exchanges will either professionalize or be left in the dust.

In my view, this may well be the biggest news story in a long time.

People as Americans, I guess?
2219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 25, 2015, 05:50:20 PM
I'm fascinated by this volatile garbage that's going up and down 5-10 dollars every 5 minutes like a scam conducted by Bobsurplus, Fontas and Wolong.

Coinbase posting countdowns with moons and rockets. Bitch, please! I know that a percentage of those $75M went into pumping this collapsing BitBulb.

Jesus, they are taking me for a fool.

Yep, not closing short during upswing is shit.
2220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 25, 2015, 04:55:22 AM
LTC TO THE MOON.  Roll Eyes

50% rise in the last few hours.

Can you imagine it happening with BTC?

Yeah, why not, specially on these low prices. It just needs fomo like when it went to 475.
